Captain Moonstone - Victorious with the bone!

Drawing away from the rest, Moonstone was able to catch the falling crystalline bone with both hands, choosing to drop her weapon at the last moment; she could always de-summon and re-summon it at her leisure, it didn't matter compared to their goal item.

Wasgo growled back at the Alpha, but did not give chase for Moonstone was directing it to wheel back around, the prize held aloft while the captain gave a piercing victory cry. She spotted Zircon with Labyrinthite and his group, kicked her personal youma into motion and went charging towards her fellows so that she could grab her and haul her up onto Wasgo. The big captain, Titanlåvenite seemed to have been offering his services again, so Moonstone saluted him in thanks though she had other plans for Zircon's transport. "Come Sister, we'll ride victorious to Metallia!"

Swept up in the tumult of emotions from victory and focused on collecting Zircon, she missed Proustite being carted off by the remaining Alpha youma, missed Hauyne's question as to whether or not the other Captain was meat to be wasted or not, or she would have gone after him. Proustite was an idiot, but he was her idiot; later, when she realized he was missing, she would be quite upset, but for the moment? Nothing but joy and adrenaline, blocking any hurts and filling her with euphoria.

Raising her voice, Moonstone gestured back the way she'd come, "There is a gentler incline this way. It will make the return longer, but easier." With the Crystal Bone in hand and Captain Zircon doubled up on Wasgo with her, the dark haired Captain headed back towards the incline, towards the Castle once more; her companions an honor guard to help keep the prize safely in their hands, in her hands.

Her teal eyes registered when their goal was obtained. As for who had the bone, it didn't matter to the leitenant, as long as their objective was achieved. But even in the relief of their achievements, she didn't miss the hostage of Proustite by the vengeful alpha. It was all she could do to defend herself against the wolves that had ganged up on the officers chasing them, and the distance between the two officers was too far to breach. She could only watch as they snapped their jaws into the human flesh, forcibly dragging the negaverser away. Clenching her own jaw, she forced herself to look away. It was time for a hasty retreat towards the general group at hand. No matter how much she wanted to, she knew that following the alpha deeper into the graveyard would only result in her death. Besides, it had been foolish of her to think they could bring everybody back from this mission.

She was worried as she caught sight of the general and the his captains. Zircon was taken away by more exuberant friends, so Serpierite didn't spare her another thought. But she caught sight secondly of Wolfeite who looked far worse than the General or her. Reeling from the loss of one of their own, and revealing a compassionate nature not suited for their profession, she didn't hesitate to call out to both Labyrinthite and Wolfeite. Throwing herself at Wolfieite's back in particular, her slight weight wouldn't have done anything but surprise them. Clutching the fabric of his torn shirt, her relief was nearly tangible as she looked up at both of them. So much that she ignored the caution signs that the youma captain was still harboring bloodlust from the last battle. "You're both so injured, but at least.. you're all right."

Towards General Labyrinthite's kind question, Serpierite's first instinct was to reassure him that she was fine. Taking a step back, "I'll be all r--" Her sentence was not completed as the floor beneath her seemed to give way, her lithe frame collapsing to her knees. She seemed genuinely bemused to find herself off balance, as a person with exceptional balance. Her wound was still open, the blood dripping down from her forearm to her fingers. Along with the trembling of her body, the loss of movement was a side effect from the blood loss she was suffering. It wasn't fatal, as it would stop soon. But it made the journey back for her nearly impossible, if she had little use of her legs.

General Labyrinthite

He trusted that his captain could continue forward as though little injury had been done. Wolfeite wouldn't risk looking weak, not in front of others. Not in front of Labyrinthite. "Regardless," he said lowly, warning lining his tone, "we'll look at them after."

Serpierite garnered his full attention again when she knocked into the captain, expressing concern for both of them that had him chuckling lowly. "Worry not, we've seen worse." He might've continued had her legs not given out from beneath her. Moving instinctively, the general slid an arm beneath her legs with the palm of his other hand pressing firmly against her back when he lifted her. Said hand shifted to grasp firmly beneath her ribcage in a secure hold that pressed her against his chest.

"Easy," he said, whiskey-gold sweeping across her injury before meeting teal. "Looks like you took a nasty hit," he paused long enough to offer her a strained smile. "You did good though." It felt a bit awkward praising the efforts of someone who wasn't his, when there were so many prying eyes but - her own superior officer was not here to do so and when they'd embarked on this trek, he'd offered her his protection and guidance and would continue to do so as long as she allowed.

"Come," he ordered, voice directed at Wolfeite as he began to walk, "let's go."

And so the general and his companions began the long trek back.

General Xenotime

As much as she would have liked it to be her hand wrapped around that bone, at least one of them had managed to retrieve it. That meant they, as a whole, would be able to return to Metalia victoriously. It was a win.

However, that knowledge did very little to cull her irritation in her self, or in the still bleeding wounds that decorated her chest. Stinging now worst than ever with the sheen of sweat she'd earned after the fight and the following sprint after the prize. She winced, cursing under her breath as she came to a stop beside Typhoon, a hand landing on his arm, possibly for support, not that she'd admit it.

His question had him glancing back in the direction the youma had retreated in, features shutting down into something cold and thoughtful before she gave a small shake of her head. "We do as we've been commanded." The bone was important, or Metalia would not have sent them to get it. After they'd returned it, then they could organize a rescue. Who is his commander? Had they noticed his absence yet, or were they not in the graveyard with them? Xenotime knew what she'd have done if one of her own had been taken, but Proustite wasn't her's. It was a cold mentality, but she had her own agents to look after and protect.

Speaking of. "Where are the others?" Bitting back another wince, the general turned to scan the gathered agents for the lieutenants she'd come there with. "Marcasite, Natrolite, Prehnite!" It was time to regroup.

Lieutenant Natrolite

It felt good smashing into the Alpha and watching it turn to dust, that was the lieutenant's own victory even if Typhon had a hand in the attack as well. As the dust came he backed away with a cough. Not noticing as someone got captured apparently but he heard the comments around. A lift of brow and stormy eyes looked towards where others were looking hopelessly.

Then the bone was seen to be had and Natorile shrugged, job done, he had nothing to do with the one that was lost anyways. So, not his problem. A grin and he turned towards the yell of his name. Left hand now looked to in inspection of the scratch on palm. "M'right here.." Natrolite purred only a few steps from Typhon and his general as it was.

Heading over he stood a little away from the pair and eyed his generals appearance with a bit of amusement.

Lieutenant Marcasite

She hadn't strayed too far from General Xenotime when the pack surrounded them, nipping and snapping where ever their teeth could find purchase. One had caught her calf hard enough for her to be limping in the aftermath when the purplette called her name.

She barely caught sight of the captain being dragged off and she clicked her tongue, turning back to the remaining agents.

"I'm here," she mumbled, limping over and touching Xenotime's hip gingerly. She was battered and bruised but in far better shape that it seemed her general was. Blue eyes drifted to the blood stained front of the green uniform. There was little she could do for Xe here and it was irritating but, Marce would deal.

Perhaps they would all have a chance to recoup.

She looked towards Natrolite, eyes sweeping across to assess his wounds before looking at Typhon. She was weary but she did not waver.

They still had to go back.

Lt. Prehnite

Never so glad to be done with a task, and victorious with it. He didn't care who had the bone, so long as someone did. It was a shame that they had to lose someone in the process. He might have felt more felt for the man if he'd known him, but he didn't and he wasn't about to dash out after him. Chances were the poor b*****d was already kibble...

Hearing Xenotimes call he sighed and picked himself up to rejoin their little group. The sleeves of his jacket shredded by tooth and claw, the marks bled, but nothing that wouldn't heal on its own. He couldn't even say what had become of his trowel..lost to the snarling bodies that had jumped them in the fray before they had all fled. He didn't feel like wasting the energy it would take to call it back to him.

"Here.." Nodding to the four, gaze lingering on Xenotime. None among them looked so bad off as the General. "If all else fails, we could probably have the big guy give her a ride." Waiving in Titans general direction; someone had called out about a slope, a small reprieve that the climb back up would be easier than the climb down.

Captain Zircon

The captain had considered her plan the best option, given her limited time and information, but as her vault sent her careening to the center of an agitated pack of words, she began to reorganize in her brain the way she defined 'regret'. Nevertheless, she was battle-trained and ready, and she put her arms up in a defensive stance, ready to hold them off for as long as possible. She refused to be dead weight by calling for assistance, she would be dead first.

And then the great youma beetle collapsed into dust and Moonstone emerged from the scuffle victorious, leaving the wolves no other choice but to scuttle away to the furthest reaches of the boneyard, their tails between there legs.

For a moment, Zircon stared blankly at the absence of enemies, trying to process the massive shift in battle that had just occurred. And then adrenaline overrode the buffering in her brain and she dissipated her weapon, her terse face peeling into an excited grin.

"We did it," she murmured, exuberance flushing her pale cheeks as she used one hand to nudge her hair, her jacket lapels, anything that would keep her moving. Moonstone's victory howl only served to pump her up even more, and by the time Wasgo crossed the battlefield she was practically giggling, the sudden relief bubbling over her like a waterfall. "We did it!" she yipped, accepting the other captain's generous hand onto the great beast's back. She shot a sympathetic glance to Titanlåvenite, who continued to be so understanding, but her arms were already at Moonstone's waist and she was beginning to feel dizzy off of the feeling of victory.

Her eyes wandered to Labyrinthite and the small company of officers surrounding him, her brow furrowed when Serpierite collapsed to the ground. She nudged Moonstone to slow their loop around the battlefield, untying the kerchief around her neck to offer to the general. "For her leg," she intoned with a wince, glancing down for only a moment at the sight of blood. It was hard not to feel sensitive, so soon after her own procedure, and she was quick to retreat to the warm safety of Moonstone's torso, the warm welcome of Metallia's halls they were sure to return to shortly.

Lieutenant Huntite

When the beetle youma had spun, Huntite had ended up needing to back up very quickly to not get sent flying and possibly end up letting Kayta get hurt in the process. As he did this he could see the bone go flying from the beetle and the wolf youma's going after it along with a good portion of their officers, including Witherite and Benitoite. He saw the beetle youma get dusted so, after making sure that the guardian cat on his shoulders was still alright, he took off after the bone that was caught before he got close. "Well at least someone was productive." He said under his breath, not thinking about how Katya would hear him, mad at himself that he hadn't been able to help more.

Since the youma that hadn't been dusted left, he quickly started to move around the officers in order to spot the short General and hopefully some of the others he had been with earlier even if just to visually see they were unharmed. Thankfully it didn't take long to find Benitoite and Witherite even with the graveyard of bones not being the best for walking. "Are you both alright?" He asked as he moved closer.

Captain Titanlåvenite

There didn't seem to be any takers, or they were already well cared for by other parties (whether claimed as much of prizes as the bone itself like Zircon was, or just in a team of their own). The large captain nodded respectfully, shouldered his hammer, and set to heading back.

Haüyne, Corrupted Super Senshi of Execution

No one was answering. People were just leaving. Haüyne's mouth pulled into a long line. We're all going to do this. We're actually all just leaving someone down here. Snatched up. Worth less than that bone. Would it be different if it was a General? Or if it was two Lieutenants? Or is this just....hey, you went into the Rift. Tolls a toll. That's grim.
Is he going to get ripped apart? Turned into a Youma? Part-youma like Bus? Who knows.....who even knows.

Haüyne's arms wrapped to each other across the blue and transparent blood red of uniform. There were no more words for the trip back.

Lt. Witherite

Being attacked by wolf youma while trying to get a bone had all sort of irony to it and if Witherite hadn't been right in the middle of it he might have laughed. The thing jumped at him trying to keep him from proceeding, but the attack was short lived as they attained the prize and the wolves retreated.

He was bitten and had a few scratches, but he was really no worse for wear. When Beni approached and asked if he was alright he nodded, "trust me I've had worse. I will be glad when I graduate so the counselor will get off my a**. Going to school covered in bruises, not the best idea."

He looked to Huntite when he approached and nodded again, "Let's get back. We got the bone and I'm ready to ditch the graveyard."

Lt. Raspite

Raspite had found himself in the thick of another battle with the youma hounds. Though even as it started it seemed to end. A fact that left Raspite in wonder. He turned his head in the direction of the battling Alphas and then noted that the bone had, in fact been surrendered to them.

It was only moments later that he noted the cost. One of their own being hauled away by the pack. Had he known this soldier better, he would have felt a twinge of guilt for them getting taken, but as it stood, he shrugged his shoulders and fell back to his General and fellow Lt.

Once he had collected his barrings, and his General had given the order to leave, he made his way back the way they had come. He more than grateful at this point for the shorter, easier way back, for the idea of climbing that cliff face was not one that he wanted to entertain too badly.

Though the walk back was long, Raspite seemed to not notice. His legs carrying him much further distances than this in the past. Though he would admit to himself that he was upset that he did not retrieve the bone himself, he was pleased that the mission was a success. They would report to Metalia, and they would move on to the next step, that, above all else, is what mattered.
