When she spoke about liking the fresh smell the rain left behind, Samael nodded as he
hummed in agreement. It was one of his favorite scents after all, even if Niall said it
smelled like too pine-y for him. Oh well, hopefully when the tiny tomato grew older, he’d
like it too. As it turned out, she was a newcomer to this whole place too. It was something
he could sympathize with, considering that he had come to the city about...a few weeks
ago—or maybe a month? Time escapes him at the moment. He’d have to tally the days
that had gone by later.
“Well then, allow me to welcome you to town then.” Samael enthusiastically said
with a smile plastered onto his face; he bowed the same way a butler would’ve bowed
to their master after they returned home. He felt like it was fitting for his little act.
“I got here with my son recently as well, and the scenery is indeed quite nice.
Have you had the chance to explore the entirety of the city yet?” He inquired.
His thoughts flashed back to Andrea, his kind neighbor. His fellow redhead had been kind
enough to show them around; perhaps now is his chance to pay the kind gesture forward.
Er, if he could gather the courage to attempt to give a fellow newcomer a tour, that is.
“Don’t worry about food too much, there’s still a lot more to enjoy until the event
ends.” Samael chuckled lightly. “It doesn’t look like the spring fling isn’t at full
swing yet, so maybe an extra fifteen minutes of rest wouldn’t have hurt too bad.”
He laughed. Well, he knew he had to get up early daily to make sure Niall was okay, of
course. Extra fifteen minutes of sleep in the mornings were a luxury he could no longer
afford, now that he was a single father. “It’s alright if you have no partner right now.
There are lot of fish in the sea, as people would’ve liked to put it.” Samael stated
in hopes that perhaps his words could give her some hope.
“I’d love to dance myself, but just like you, I have no partner.” He empathized with
a curt nod of his head. It was at that moment that Solaris, his co-worker, had come
around to greet him. Trailing behind her was the pleasant soul he had met at the beach a
few days back. He waved down at the petite when she had called him out, and all he
could do was offer her a smile as she enthusiastically introduced him to her friend—
Melpomene, as he remembered. Though, he wasn’t really aware that she was the owner of
the candy shop in town. He made a mental note to take Niall there when he had time.
“It’s nice to see you, Solaris. You look really excited to be here right now. Are you
looking forward to the dancing?” He teased her lightly, though his attention was
eventually called by Melpomene, who had greeted him in return as well. “It’s nice to see
you again too, Miss Zamir. I’ve been fine since then. Have you been doing well?”
He inquired. He hoped that she was, at least, feeling a little bit better. “I didn’t know
you manage the candy shop. I’ll keep that in mind. I’ll probably drop by one of
these days. My little boy really loves sweets, so he’d love to see where you work.
Just for all the sugar.” He chuckled lightly. It’s also another good chance into getting to
know the city and its residents more too.

The little doctor approached the gathering with caution, a little exasperated with herself for being even this late. She had wanted to arrive earlier but she'd had a meeting and a patient to attend to at the last minute. Luckily, she'd been well prepared and had set her outfit out on her bed the night before so she didn't have to go hunting for everything. It had taken a little more effort to do her hair and makeup, but upon leaving the house she was satisfied with her work. However even now, she was a little anxious. What if someone noticed the faint stitching along the hem of her dress from where she had taken it up. She had fallen for the dress at first sight and it was a perfect fit, except for the length of the skirt, which on her had been ridiculously long. She'd altered it herself and was rather proud of it, but showing it off in a place like this made her feel a little.. Inferior? There were so many other people around, each of which wearing something equally as beautiful. She smiled, watching as the guests interacted with each other in their own little ways. It was soothing. She liked people watching.
Andrea somehow managed to spot the blood donation tent and went to join the line, only to recognise a certain someone out of the corner of her eye. Distracted, she turned and headed in his direction, instinctively apologising when someone accidentally bumped into her. Oh how she wished she could break that over apologetic streak. Now that she was closer the redhead could see that her friend was busy talking to others. She felt a little disappointed but chose not to interrupt. Instead, she left Samael be and turned yet again to return to the tent to donate her blood. She'd check in with him later.

As Lysander leaned against the small framed woman, his smile turned to one of amusement as she admitted to being startled. Their was a faint glow from his eyes as he watched her cheeks turning pink; like a predator watching its prey. That was really the only way to describe the type of person he was. He wouldn't eat you or anything, but he was always looking for his next 'prey' so to speak. She's avoiding...! Lysander cleared his throat as he heard the voice scream in his head for the first time in a long time. Removing himself from her, the blonde quietly wrapped his hand around where she had been pricked and pressed his thumb down with only enough pressure to not harm her. The smile he once held on his face faded away and a solemn look replaced it. "No, mine doesn't hurt," he replied softly, his tone unusually gentle. "I'm used to this kind of stuff." The simple question had him thinking about his sister all over again and how she used to take care of him when they were kids. He was technically older than her by minutes, but she was the one watching out for him more than he should have been for her. "Just keep pressure on it so you don't get a bruise," he added as he let go of her arm and positioned it upward towards her chest to keep the pressure.
While he was no expert at the art of healing, he had picked up a few things by watching his sister take care of him so much. Shoving his fingers into his pockets, thumbs hanging out, he huffed a heavy breath before nodding. "Yeah, a drink sounds good right about now," he stated as he made a bee line for the bar. Now he was a bit depressed thinking about his sister, and that wasn't what he wanted to do at all! Plopping his butt down onto a stool, he made their presence known to a bartender and waited for them to be finished with another customer before ordering a glass of red wine. "You'll be interested to know that I got a dog yesterday," he mentioned as he tried to change the subject. Pulling out his phone, he brought up a picture of his new pet.

GOD, the amount of boring faces around here! Pretty faces, sure, -some- but others round and soft like a child’s. He thought this town had more variety? No, that wasn’t as much the issue -he could care less about a face- not as much as who looked like they were any fun to the male. Like they weren’t goody-two-shoes, or just plain below his interest. Most everyone was clinging to someone else by now, though a few remained wall flowers. Those were the faces he scanned over, not the least bit interested in the extra work of ‘impressing the herd,’ so to speak, when it came to groups. Mostly girls stood at the fringes of the party, shy ones- his type, but too slow to get out of their shells. One face he saw could really lean either way towards being male or female- and the reaper shortly debated stealing their company, but decided to bide his time. He would find someone who’d play his games, surely; he was the birthday boy, so he ought to have something go his way. After all, he finally understood why he needed his fun, why he couldn’t stop; he didn’t care about anyone’s feelings in the matter, placing himself against a tree with crossed arms to...wait. Just wait.

Solaris blushed at Mel’s compliment that it would be a good place for both her and Xander may go there someday to face the challenges together. “I-I mean… not too soon. I’m still not ready yet, and I’m sure he isn’t either,” she confessed; for now, they were content in having to spend their peaceful moments together without having to suffer from those who wanted to kill either the family or the fallen angels like her and Hikaru. They had both already lost a lot of things and people that were precious to them in the past. Samael and Mel conversed that they had met some time before, and that induced a blink of surprise from Solaris herself. “Oh, I never realized that you two have met each other before, and I bet your child is a cute one, Samael. Can’t wait to meet your kid soon.” Children were no strangers to pain and misery either; Xander had to join in the battle together with the rest of the family to protect the innocent ones aside from their loved ones from such a cruel fate.
At Esmee’s compliment about her dress, she giggled, “Thanks. It’s actually one of the outfits I bought during my travel to France. Quite nifty without being too fussy on decorations." If anything, it would be best that she would dress well to the occasion without having to worry about the additional adornments. She already has her earrings and necklace crafted by her fiance, the other extras complimenting well to her look aside from the light make-up she was wearing. And there was a lot that she wanted to talk about to all of them that were present within her vicinity. But still, it would be best that the topics were the light-hearted ones, just to fit well with the mood of the occasion.
“I do wanna dance with all of you since the music is lovely, and classical music is my forte. You see, I’m playing the violin while Mel is the best with her harp,” Solaris rambled on about music. “I just wish that people will appreciate classical music more aside from other genres.” She then eyed Samael with a curious look.“Ummm… you never mentioned to me about your child before, at least until now. Care to tell me more about him?”

She saw a few people at the bar, near her at the food, mingling on the dance floor and even a few making out. As she had never been romanced in anyway before she couldn't help the blush that began to paint her cheeks. Quickly she turned away and stopped her camera on a mysterious man standing by himself. There were plenty going stag here, herself included, but he seemed to be a bit different somehow. Despite being alone he didn't seem at all uncomfortable like some of the others. Of course, she wasn't uncomfortable by herself either. She was alone on purpose. For the safety of others. Plus she had just moved here the day before and didn't know anyone yet.
As the day was drawing on and slowly the sun was hiding behind the occasional rain cloud, Eevee's body began to glow. Each time the light would fade her body lit up! It was an involuntary action. She had no way to control it and she wished she could. The glowing always caused unnecessary unattentention to be drawn her way. People would sometimes come up to ask about it and she would always run away. Becoming to anxious set off her other abilities which spelled danger for the masses. "Ah, i-it's fine."Slowly, Camille was becoming more and more comfortable with the two people sitting beside her. Maybe it was the camaraderie that came from being a bunch of socially awkward loners, or maybe it was the wine she was knocking back in increasingly larger gulps (She was on her second glass by this point, and was about halfway through it as well). Either way, she started getting a bit more chatty, and even cracked a bit of a smile; a rare sight.
On the question of "differences", Cammie had to pause and think for a few moments. She didn't want to seem like the odd one out, but at the same time... There wasn't too much that was unique about her. She was just a plain-jane human... Which, to be fair, was quite the rarity in Soleil. Though, there was that one story that her father told her about the family being cursed by some sort of malevolent entity to have their distinctive cobalt hair... But that was probably just him making up things to justify his prejudice against those who weren't pure-blooded humans. She ran a hand through her locks as she gazed down at the ground, kicking her feet a little. "Well, aside from this... I'm pretty bog standard." She mumbled, taking another sip of her wine before looking up at Millie. "What about you, though?"

Brilliant! That is what I'll call them." she said her ears twitching as she still danced in place, tail swaying like a ribbon behind her with each movement. Devi seemed to want to know what they'd do first and Kiku clearly took some time to think "But...all of those sound good." the tiger woman confessed a little frustrated. Kiku continued to think for a moment, trying to decide what course of action to take and luckily the squirrel girl had posed to her another question "Ooh they've been having fun at the event too." she said and pointed towards a pair of birds in a tree "Those two have been talking non-stop." she then pointed to one alone "That one has been eying an apple someone just left on a table." and then she pointed to a whole lot of birds who seemed to be hanging about "And them? They're arguing when the best time to catch worms is." she smiled. It was hard to tell if Kiku was joking or not. Kiku began to walk about in her thoughts before it finally occurred to her "Dance with me!" she began to pull her friend to the dance floor a bright look in her eyes like she just hit an epiphany of some sort. The idea was simple, but for Kiku it was something great.  Sidevi || On Person: $80 || In Bank: $740 || Mood: Happy Sidevi watched as Kiku responded to the flirting with... not how she was expecting her to respond. Poor Devi, she sat there rubbing the side of her arm, with a small smile, clearly amused by this response. Her tail flicking and swaying clearly showing that she is still in a good mood. The discussion of what the birds are on about caught her attention though, her ears flicking on top of her head as she listens to Kiku. The thought of what birds are thinking or doing is pretty neat. "Well clearly the best time to do that would be-!" She bagan to speak before Kiku pulled her along saying to dance. Sidevi stumbled along due to the unexpected pull, but didn't really try to get away, as she sort of figured Kiku would just yank her back anyways. Once they get to where they were going she just glances up to Kiku to speak, "Alright alright! I uh, I suppose I will follow your lead!" She waited on Kiku at this point.. as she exactly wasn't the best dancer herself.

After hearing there was some kind of event happening Dante took a ferry out to the island and was somewhat impressed at the turn out. He didn't expect so many people here for a blood drive but more than likely not everyone was here to give up blood. He certainly wasn't but hey, a party is a party and this guy was always looking to have a good time. He walked around and took in the sight of all the lights strung about the trees, like vines that grew up from the trunk and over the overhanging branches, only for his eyes then to smile down at the path of white petals which leads deeper into the party. "Oh yeah, they did this s**t right." A payed compliment from a mobster who use to live the lavish life himself. Though, that was a lifetime ago now. Even still he was building his family's empire once again, only this time it'll be his name on this mafioso organization; His logo on addictive white powder he was getting chumps to sell for him. Being use to city life meant that Dante gave zero cares to anyone he was bumping into as he shuffle by while looking down on his phone. He had his latest plaything on the screen with thoughts of texting her to see if she'd wanna hangout but right under that contact was another one. It had been some time since he last hung out with another of his girls, Skye, and so he decided to shoot a text to Skye instead of the dumb blond he's recently ensnared. To: Skye
Hey, how've you been? I'm at this event called the Spring Fling on Mykronos Island and was wondering if you'd like to be by my side. They've got plenty of drinks for us, and you know how things get between us after a few shots~

╔══════════════╗ Minutes going by while Patrick finishes off his second bottle of club soda. Nothing of interest was going on around him or involving him in any way besides his presence going unnoticed. He thought it was a good thing he was sitting at the bar because if someone had bumped into him there would be no letting that person go until he gets an honest and sincere apology. "Starting to feel anxious again" he thought as he finished writing in his journal. He needed to get away this social event and calm down some before taking his personal route back to town. Getting up, he slips the small journal back into his suit jacket then headed away from the event. Leaned against a tree facing away from where he came from once he was half a yard away and takes a deep breath then let it out slowly trying to calm himself down. "Sweating in a suit is one of the worst feelings while wearing this sort of outfit" he thought before standing up straight. ╚══════════════╝

While she didn't have much extended contact with children, mostly just babysitting for her brother, she did find them to be extraordinarily adorable. Probably one of the only non-creepy things that she found cute. She blinked and tapped her cheek with a low hum, "Oh no I haven't had a chance yet. The city is much bigger than I expected so there's a lot of ground to cover. Plus I've only been here about a week, and the first few days of that was getting settled into my home." she said, rubbing the back of her head with a sigh. "But now that I'm all settled, I'm determined to see all there is, and find the funnest places to hang out!" There was a sparkle in her eyes. "It'd be nice if I could have someone who knows the city to show me around." A wide grin crossed her face as she placed her hands on her hips. "Honestly that muffin filled me up enough, so I don't need to go back for a while. I wanna see all of what this event has to offer." Her head tilted to the side slightly, "Ah yes I've heard that term around a lot. though I've always thought it a bit silly. But you do make a good point." She chuckled and patted his shoulder, "Well like you said, lots of fish in the sea and all that."
Esmée looked to the very tall woman as she spoke up. She had a very.. polite way of speaking as well as an interesting name. There was also a kind of aura that seemed to encircle her. Melpomene was definitely far from a normal human. 'Hm.. that's definitely something to remember for later..' The witch took quite an active interest in non-human beings. Even keeping a notebook of one's she met. Many interesting potions could be brewed from parts of them. She pushed that aside for now, "Nice to meetcha Melpomene, if you run a candy shop, I'll definitely be stopping in a lot. I have quite the large sweet tooth." After also learning the name of the shorter of the duo, a small hum left her lips. "Oh France you say? I've always wanted to go there but I never got a chance. Perhaps one day." She had actually planned on going to France with her former lover but unfortunate circumstances kept her from doing so. However this was not the time to dwell on such depressing manners. Instead she stepped up to Solaris, and grasped one of her hands. She proceeded to twirl the small girl and pull her close. There was a mischievous glint in her eyes, "Well if you're offering to dance, I'm most certainly up for it. No way I could pass that up with such a cutie! And while I don't know much about playing music, but I can definitely appreciate all genres. Music can be language all it's own, the way the notes stir feelings within the listener." she said with a wide grin. Then she let go of her hand and backed up. Turning to look at Samael again, she also felt curious about learning more about the man's son. "Yeah I'd like to know about him too." ╚══⚸*:･ﾟ✧☾ ☥ ❦ ☥ ☽*:･ﾟ✧⚸══╝

Melpomene gently shook her head up and down "I have been better since then. I really do apologize for heaping my troubles onto you." she bowed again, it was hard not to feel some amount of regret for it, but it had done wonders for her since then and without that Melpomene wasn't sure how she might have handled it. She wasn't great, but since then she had been doing better. She was glad to know that he was doing good as well as he had been in his own thoughts when they encountered one another. Today was a day for joy and conversation, so as long as he was alright then she was delighted.
She nodded to Solaris "Sometimes the string of fate, however loosely, do tie together it seems." she tapped her chin. Really the town was small enough that people could run into each other several times, but Mel liked to believe it was meant to be this way to make comings and goings a lot easier.
The ghost offered a caring smile "Ah please Mr. Durnin, I would be overjoyed if you and your would come by the store." she chuckled "I try to make the store a place of joy for the people, if I can make the two of you smile on your visit then I'll know I did a fine job even if I can't see those smiles." she clapped a bit "Oh yes! If you and your son desire anything you need only let me know. I like to make treats for the patrons as my thanks for them stopping by." though Mel believed that the store would soon foster that habit of hers even better soon enough.
Solaris seemed to be speaking with Esmee about music and wanting to dance. Mel herself would not mind one though she did wave at the mention of the harp "I am quite alright with a harp. You flatter me too much Solaris." she said though hearing such words about her music always made her happy. Of course Mel trained with so much, but the harp was her truest companion, but she didn't tend to play up her own abilities with it.
It always seemed strange to speak with pride about it and even stranger to have another essentially do it for her.
She then turned to Esmee though her gaze seemed to be a little bit off not enough to be noticeable without a keen eye, but still a slight error "You as well dear, you are welcome anytime even if you only need someone to lend an ear. I will do whatever it takes to lighten your spirits." she informed her kindly. She listened to Esmee interact with Solaris and chuckled a bit at the spirited way the two interacted, before both their inquires turned to the man's son.
Mel nodded towards Samael "Well it seems your son is quite popular Mr. Durnin." she looked off for a moment "Are any of you thirsty? I can go retrieve drinks if any of you wish." she inquired.

 ──────────────────────────────────Kaylee glanced up at her husband and tilted her head to the side a little bit before giving a small smile before she gave a tiny giggle when he gave her a kiss. Gently placing a small kiss upon his face plate, the brunette then nodded her head. "Okay... I can do this." She said, mostly to pep herself up. Seeing Kos' energetic outburst made the young woman giggle softly and did help her feel a bit better. After all, what reasons did she have to be nervous other than being shy? All of the people here seemed nice enough, and if they weren't.. well, she was sure than none of them would dare try to be rude to her when she was hanging onto her nearly 10' husband's arm. Breathing in deeply then letting it out, Kaylee took a glance around. The girl then paused a second and cocked her head to the side a little when her gaze landed on the man near the piano. Huh? He seemed really familiar to her. She just didn't know how. Her bright blue gaze focused on him for a small while before it came to her. "H-Hey Kos?" She said softly. "The man over there. Wasn't he a teacher at Lehakoe?" She said to her husband while gesturing towards Hakem. What did he teach again? She didn't remember. She couldn't even recall a name, but his face seemed super familiar. Or was she just mistaken?   Skye bit the inside of her bottom lip hard enough to draw a little blood as she stared at the wall to her left. To her right side, a young male was wiping her arm down with an alcohol pad and tying a band around her arm. "Ma'am. You need to relax." He said to her. Skye nodded her head and breathed out heavily while relaxing her body. The wolf then clenched her eyes shut and gave a small growl as she felt the pinch of the needle piercing her arm. The male untied the band and no more than a minuet passed before he was placing a small amount of gauze to her arm. "Just keep the pressure on and the bleeding should be done in a couple minuets." He said, moving to the next person. Opening her eyes, Skye sighed softly. Ugh, she hated needles! Standing up, Skye tossed the gauze into the garbage, the bleeding already having stopped. Well, that was done and over with! Despite her displeasure with needles, Skye thought donating blood would be a good idea. She was lucky that she hadn't gone into an alcoholic bender like she wanted to after finding out all that crap she did. Instead she just sort of... blanked out. She went numb and mindlessly wandered around the city until her clothes were soaked. Then when she got home, she called into bed with her soaked clothes on and just stared at the ceiling.
How could she even process this!? It was crazy... How could she even be sure what Ryan was saying was true? A mobster. Forced into selling drugs. A hostage. It sounded really crazy. How did she know that it wasn't just some sort of lame story he could spin so he could have a legit excuse to get away from her rather than seeming like an a*****e by just disappearing... Did he really even love her? She knew that she loved him, but... still... if what he said was true... No... She didn't want to think of any of this! She didn't want to be a part of it! She was spiraling into a dark place, a place she didn't want to be.
Shaking her head, Skye smoothed down her dress a little before tilting her head as her phone vibrated. Who could that be? Reading her text, she didn't know if she should smirk or feel guilty. She hadn't even stopped to think about Dante... What should she tell him? Should she stop things with him? No... Why should she? With all the lying Ryan did to her! If he had been caught by the police or even followed by the mobster blackmailing him, it could have lead to her getting in trouble, or hurt. What he did was really dangerous! And very hurtful.

Hitting enter, Skye made a beeline for the buffet where she glanced over the food. Grabbing a cookie, she bit into it while she waited. This was a night for fun and relaxing. No time to think of all the issues Ryan presented her with. Little did she know that the man she was waiting for was the cause of them all.
