She couldn't see. She couldn't see anything. Really there was nothing more horrible then not being able to see. Something had happened to Abby and she had been hit in the head. She wasn't sure what it was exactly, but whatever it was made it so that she was unable to see.
How was she going to get out of this situation alive if she was unable to see?

Benji wasn't excited about any of this. In fact he was down right petrified about it all. Every bullet he swore was meant for him, and as much as Bing protected him he wasn't so sure that he wouldn't die.
All of a sudden Bing was pushing his head down, and Benji willingly went with it. He didn't know anything about this. He had never even seen anything this crazy, and he was pretty sure that not even Bing had seen something like this.
Bing had been yelling at him and pulling at him when all of a sudden he was hit in the head with something. It seemed like a baseball bat, but he couldn't be sure. The world was dizzy and he couldn't stand, but luckily whoever had hit him had left him to die and moved on to someone else.
"Bing!" he called as he was unable to see the man, or anyone for that matter. He was so dizzy and the world seemed to be covered in fog. Finally he found his bodyguard, though it appeared as if the man wasn't in much better shape then he was in. What were they going to do?

Ellie had been so busy working on her arm, she didn't notice things settle down until all was quiet. Except of course for the eager whispers of nearby Mall Rats. "Hm?" she hums finally as she finishes her arm and realizes what was happening.
Getting up slowly, so not to agitate her arm, she creeps over to the group of other Mall Rats and listens to their chatter. It took a worrying amount of time for the leaders to return, but once they did, they brought interesting information back. So the Harbingers would 'share' with them and give out the special weapons to whatever faction did the most jobs? Well... That did seem fair and logical...
As the group disbands and goes to complete the various given missions, Ellie tests out her arm before nodding and following suit. They needed those weapons!

Jayson was with July and some of the other survivors when the grenade hit. He had no idea what was going on, fumbling to the ground and attempting to grab his lover for protection. His ears rang briefly as his head throbbed. He winced as he released July, sitting up with some effort. He was startled by the sound of something metal hitting the ground; it had been on top of him. He rubbed his pained skull as he tried to open his eyes. To his great dismay, he realized that his eyes had already been open and he couldn't see a single thing. "J-July!? Are you okay?!" He asked, trying to reach and feel for his lover. Panicked rushed over him, how was he supposed to find him water now? How was he supposed to protect July? He'd failed him.

Frederich didn't ask to be entangled in this mess. To be honest, if he had a choice, he would have stayed back at the campus and not taken the risk of getting his head blown off at all; much less run the chance of getting preyed upon by an infected.
He's very lucky that all he got out of it was a black eye when a piece of debris from the grenade blast hit him in the face, with one side of his face swollen and bruised in a very unflattering way that makes him wish he could cover his face somehow. Laying flat on his back, it takes a few minutes for him to regain his senses enough to reach for his cane, using it to pull himself fully up and leaning much more heavily on it than anyone's seen him before.
He pinches the bridge of his nose, not fully reoriented yet. His first thought is to try clamoring to safety, or at the very least seek out familiar faces...
