Vlad noticed the teen's reaction and smirked. "Are you worried I wont like you being alone with my son Alfred? As long as Kai isn't in any danger, I don't see why he cant show you around, unless you would feel better having someone else with you. I can go with you and Kai and point out anything your curious about."

Kai looked at his father for a moment with an eyebrow raised. Did that really just happen? Was his father intentionally trying to set the two of them up? Sure this was the first time he had shown any interest in anyone, but he had always assumed Vlad would forbid him from forming a relationship with anyone until he was at least a century old.

Vlad smirked. "I wasn't reading your mind, I can tell what your thinking from the look on your face and the fact you sounded nervous. I can hear your heartbeat. This time however I did read your mind. Its not cheating when its to keep my child safe." He laughed after a moment. "Im sure you would like to have Kai show you the room you will be in. I have to return to the main part of town and get a few things." Food mainly. With another mouth to feed in the house he needed more ingredients to make the meals he cooked.

Kai looked to Alvin. "I have the perfect room picked out for you! Would you like to go there now? Im sure you will love it!" Kai was practically shaking with excitement. He was having someone else stay in the castle and on top of that it was someone cute. So he hated that his crush lost his home and father, but at least Alvin was still alive and healthy.

Kai looked at his mother for a moment and gave the man a small hug. "Im taking Alvin to his room, we shouldn't be too long." With that the hybrid took the other's arm and went up a set of stairs and down a corridor. At the end of a long hallway he took a set of stairs down and to the left before opening up the double doors to a room with an amazing view of the ocean. "I hope you enjoy this room. I thought if might make you feel better to be able to look out at the water."

Vlad picked up Sal and carried his partner to their own bedroom. "You rest here and I will be back shortly. Have to get food for everyone." The vampire said softly before he kissed his mate and lover.

"When the ocean is your backyard and playground you can have views like this. Sometimes you can see other merpeople swimming here, but not often. Most don't really like to leave their cities due to fishing and dangers like sharks." As he watched Alvin set his bag down Kai nodded. "There can be some beautiful views. I personally like to come to this room during a thunderstorm. If you would like later I can show you mine. I can assure you nothing you have ever seen before."

"I don't see why it wouldn't be. After all, no one would really care if your in my room. My parents are the only ones that are here in the castle and since they don't seem to care Im alone with you in your room, Im sure they wont care if your in mine."

Alvin seemed to be trying to say something and Kai tilted his head for a moment. "Maybe later when everyone is rested and your settled we can go to the pool or see the ocean up close. If you want to explore a bit we can do that as well, but you should have someone with you, the castle can be a maze to those that don't really live in it."

"Why wouldn't we be friends?" He asked rather curious. "We might have only met a few days ago, but your a nice person and I like you. Doesn't that make us more then a passing conversation?" He didn't really see why Alvin would think they might not be friends right away. "Alright, we can get clothes tomorrow, if your alright with that of course."
