It was all coming back to her now. She understood. She knew why she was a Knight, and what had made her take this twisted fate in the first place.
Her family was dead because of her family. The only way she could avenge the ones who had been good was to take up arms against the one who had been a rider. She could do that. Lancelot had inspired confidence in her and her ability to do this, and his death would not be in vain. She would destroy all those of shadow that stood in her way.s
The grip on Unathi was vice tight. She observed, vaguely, that she heard nothing from her weapon anymore, but it was okay. Unathi was unchained, and she was no longer fighting Nkosazana. She agreed to her presence. Working with her was okay.
That was enough for Nkosazana, honestly, and she took no further thought about it as she swung at Merlin.

DAMAGE DONE TO MERLIN - 297
In her life, she had never hit this hard. Nkosazana had never been a fighter. She nurtured. That was her area of expertise.
And yet, now, her inability to fight didn't matter.
All she could think about was the rage filling her veins in an amount she was unfamiliar with. Even if it was not Merlin's fault, what had happened to her family directly, he was the biggest target and the most obvious of the threats. He needed to go down.
He was too powerful and had brought too much destruction onto the land of Camelot. Nkosazana would not let it stand.

DAMAGE DONE TO MERLIN - 303
With a scream, Nkosazana swung Unathi at Merlin, attempting to bash whatever part she could access of him in. She had to bring him down. They would bring him down. They would all destroy Merlin.
He had tried to destroy them all with those corrupted black crystals, and he would not win.
Nkosazana would have attempted to swing again--and in fact, she did!--but she was not a natural born fighter and was starting to miss as she tired herself out, so she decided to back herself up a bit. She was a White Knight. Perhaps there was someone around who could use her help as a supporter or healer?
Getting someone else back on their feet would help them destroy Merlin, as well. If only there weren't some fighting on his side...

Upon opening his eyes, inner turmoil settled, Johan took in the sight of the battlefield and moved toward those who were protecting the Great King. Much like when the sky had cracked open, Johan looked upon Merlin and realized he'd never actually been completely human. Tempest was where it belonged, in his hands. It didn't feel as though he was holding something other, Tempest felt, truly, like an extension of himself. Only an echo remained of whatever had possessed him, but what was there was a warm presence, bolstering him to stand against the nightmare before them.
Bracing himself, Johan joined his comrades, his friends, the only family he had left, and prepared to attack. Bursting into action, he twisted like a whirlwind, Tempest's blade cutting shadowy flesh.

Johan continued his attack, scoring a particularly deep cut into the beast that was Merlin. He remembered finding that coffin in the then Great Knight's tower. Damn! So many of those they were meant to look up to ended up deceiving them. Johan couldn't change the past, but he would do his best to preserve what remained.

Johan's next attack was shallower, barely hitting Merlin as the monster faced Johan and the other attackers. Merlin seemed particularly wary of Johan's last attack, and Johan was unable to find a c***k in his defense to take advantage of.

Yuki shifted his head only because she did, looking up to her and meeting her lips for a brief kiss. Some of the worry and tension melted away, the contact comforting him. He didn't protest resting his head right back on her shoulder, his own eyes closed as he focused on the warmth of her holding him in place.
When he did move again, it was just to rest his chin on Riley's shoulder so that he could look toward Jason. He chuckled, softly. "I suppose it would."
Yuki had gone from being lost and alone to finding a new place to belong. It was a lot to take in, but nothing about it was negative. They would make it through, and things could only go uphill from here.

With a new determination, Ignatius stepped through the Blue Door, pike forming back in hand, newly loyal. Caelestis would not speak to him, but it was strange; Ignatius could feel his presence and feel the fact that his support was there. They were working together as one, and he had been accepted.
Caelestis was his weapon, and Ignatius was the knight who wielded him. He looked up from his weapon to Merlin, eyes narrowing. And that was who he would wield him against.
Ignatius let out a loud roar, declaring his presence so people would clear out of the way, flipping Caelestis around and running for Merlin. The pike found its mark and stuck inside him, leaving quite the mark as he pulled it back out.
"Take that you monster!"

With Vision came clarity, Damien took stock of the battle and the sides being offered, swiftly moving to put himself in front of the Great King. They spent far too long working against the shadows and the new vision that was Merlin that had the telltale sign of corruption, it was not something that had to be present the spearknight decided, taking up arms. The weapon, was more in tune with his arms than he remembered, a easiness that came with wielding it and using it as support.
It shot out like a knife, arcing towards the onyx gemmed flesh and sheared off a portion of a limb.

It took a surging amount of force to bring the blade back around, curving the Naginata threw the air with the chimes of bells when it crossed the wound it made previously, the gash was not as deep. A shallow cut to add to the many it was gathering from everyone.
From the marks of many, Damien was sure it would add up soon.

The blade was held to a firm stop with the usage of both hands, more leverage and control that came with the all out offensive stance. Damien swung the spear again through the focal point of his target, adding more bleed damage to the limb.
If he couldn't kill it on his own, he'd at least make it hurt.

He had heard Arrakis speak--yes, he was still alive despite what was said, perhaps he would be able to live after all, even if it was due to Merlin's tyranny--telling them to defend who they could. Yes, they were still Blue Knights. Their job was protection.
Perhaps, though, the best way to defend the others right now was bringing Merlin to his knees. After all, not all of them seemed to be coming out of it. Some seemed to be... Not alright.
He spared a glance over to the Great King that they were defending, and noted that some knights who appeared as shadows were attacking him. He hopes Piper would snap out of it. He would hope Brenley would snap out of it. Where were they?
While he pondered this, Ignatius whacked Merlin with his pike.

Ignatius quickly swung his arm back up to whack Merlin again, although his third shot at him was not nearly as effective as the first two had been. Perhaps it was because other knights were crowding around Merlin. Maybe he needed to back up. Ignatius could do that, right?
So he did, taking a few steps back away from the chaos to get a view of the nearby scene.
He saw a few more knights charging towards Merlin, along with a few others that were mercilessly attacking the Great King. This was Merlin's doing. Merlin needed to be stopped for twisting those knights into shadowling abominations. Abominations would have no room for happiness, not in their current forms.
Wait, was one of those abominations wearing--
No. No. No way. Ignatius refused to believe it, or refused to think about it right at that moment, instead moving to take a place by Great Knight Arrakis.

He opens his eyes, hears ringing laughter in his head as he looks down at his hand. Curiously, TK opens and closes his hands a couple times as he searches for the crystals, but they have disappeared.

DAMAGE DONE TO MERLIN 374
When she wakes there is no question who she is, or what she ought to do.
Abbi moves toward the King and is surprised to find her ranseur in her hands and not trying to swallow her in shadows. She feels the weapon rumble, something gentle and jokingly offended, urging her to attack the monster that once was Merlin. Glad to have her friend returned, and somewhat more vocal than before, the girl rushes the creature and lands a hit that makes her weapon hum. Approval is easy to understand and she begins to smile.
