Another soul, another mountain. Hachi headed out again.
This mountain was in a desert, which was a little funny. It only meant that the trees were low again, and his throat felt parched.

Perhaps Hachi could provide that love. Or learn to provide it? He wasn't really sure. The Vocivus changed so often, and, well, he was an Aeterna. They could go anywhere they wanted, on Earth.
He didn't know what it was like to grow accustomed to a place.

Oh, this agony...
It still couldn't be as great as that suffered by those who couldn't find their own way to the Vocivus, though. They needed Aeternus like Hachi himself for that!

He wondered briefly why that soul seemed so determined to flit past him. Didn't it know there could be an end to Earth? There was a place where it could control its surroundings. Didn't it long for that?
Perhaps it longed to not make decisions. Sometimes that sounded like a good thing, to Hachi. He just liked to listen.

He ran his fingers through his hair with a frown and swung about the lone taller tree in the area - not that he could really grab it, but, well. He could pretend!

He wanted to rescue a fourth soul from the mountains, and returned to the desert-y ones to give the place a chance. Perhaps he'd like a habitat like this in the Vocivus? His own changed daily.
(Hachi already knew in his heart of hearts that he preferred locations altogether a bit colder, but still!)
As he arrived a little soul was twisting round a tree - but the moment his appearance interrupted its dance, it seemed to dissipate. How rude. Didn't it know it could play with Hachi for eternity, if it so wanted?
