Zak grimaced, but shifted his weight. He still didn't fully get the point of Constance's sort of training, but he did know that, sadly, it worked. Something about fighting a legendary pokemon apparently helped keep you on your toes. His pokemon curiously watched from a distance as the two engaged, and Zak moved, dodging and pivoting, actually striking at the pokemon, and trying to avoid letting his arms get grabbed, or his legs scratched. That wasn't all; the pokemon used moves, subtle ones, that made the earth shake, or rocks fly at their trainer. It certainly wasn't just trying to fight off a dog attack, that was for sure....

Admittedly, Rufflet and Stranny had... sort of already found the egg. They didn't dare return yet, though, as their trainer struggled against the pokemon that had been sent out against him. Zak was getting scratched and a bit beat up, but the idea that he'd be done, and done with this search, and on a beach, at a luau, SOON, was enough to get him through it. He got knocked back, rolled to dodge, kicked Sal away, and jumped back to his feet. "Just how long are planning on keeping this up?" he muttered. Constance was looking at his feet. "You're almost done. Try widening your stance, a bit, and get your right foot further forward."

Zak stared after Constance, even after she was gone, a frown on his face. He wasn't sure how seriously to take that.... She was just as likely to be exaggerating to make him paranoid, as she was to be giving a serious warning. ********. He needed to check on Lidia then, too. She... might have something on it. Information, or... something. He shook his head, moving to grab his soccerball, and pausing when he noticed his pokemon. Just watching. He rolled his eyes and strode over, snatching the egg from them, and recalling them both before heading to the pokecenter to get washed up. Zak arrived at Cinnabar and rolled the sleeves of his loose sweater up, pushing them over his elbows as he looked around with narrow eyes. He went from a very cold location, in a battle with freaking hailstorms, to a god damn island near a volcano. Perfect. He might have done well to have thought ahead, but honestly, he couldn't have been bothered with it. He wasn't in the mood to give any of this any more attention than it absolutely required to get it done, and fast. He wanted to move on-- to what, he wasn't really sure, but he didn't care to be locked into this. Especially not with what had just happened.... the last thing he needed was Daeva being called out in a heat of the moment battle or situation, and having her ******** turn on him. At least he got his pokemon healed up....
Recalling Braviary, he checked his watch, looking for any messages from the four he was supposed to meet up. Jinx, one of their infiltration deflector agents, and.... Well, he didn't really care to think beyond that. Just getting close to the thought had a scowl on his face, as he swept the area for any sign of them. This couldn't be over soon enough....

Flying at high speed meant that you got to your destination, no matter the distance, in decent time. It also meant that you couldn't read any messages sent to you, or anything other than hold on to the only thing keeping you from falling thousands of feet to your death. For Jinx that was Tanzanite, specifically her neck, and as they touched down onto the island the young woman was forced to play catch up. She wiped at her cheeks to clear them of their dried tears, then took two cautionary steps forward only to quickly realize her legs weren't in working order. She'd need to rest, if only for a minute. Jinx performed a quick perimeter check, and once she found that there was no one else around she sat down in the sand.
While she gave herself time to recover Jinx read over the file that'd been sent to her. The more finer details had been stripped away, leaving just the bare bones of the mission, which was all she really needed. They were there to collect a weapon (already her interest was piqued), though collect was too kind of a word. They were here to steal some type of weapon, and Jinx would be providing... as a distraction, a waste of her talents but she'd comply, with some other member whose name she'd never heard of before. Which would give enough time for Zakhav and Adam to 'retrieve' the target. Jinx picked at her lip absently, did she know Adam? The name sounded familiar, but it was a common name. She shrugged the feeling away. Zakhav, on the other hand, was an unique name, and one she remembered; she could put the name to the face and everything. She... liked Zak, they had a few things in common and she'd worked with him before. He was in a similar department as Kaeden, so-- oh! Adam. Kaeden had mentioned him before, they worked together from time to time.
Now that she'd established that she two-thirds of the people she was working with Jinx stood to her feet, unstable at first, before releasing Opal and Sphene. Opal, so she could hand off her communicator to her and let her get an understanding of what was going on, and Sphene to take care of the pokemon that'd shuffled into view. It was the same as the one back in Veilstone, were dragons just that common? Leaving him to take care of the problem, Jinx walked ahead, it'd be good to familiarize herself with the island now, while also being on the lookout for any of her 'teammates'.
Jinx was halfway done with her first task when she spotted a familiar figure, standing with a pale yellow, floating toaster oven. Was that a new gadget? It took her drawing nearer to realize that the 'gadget' was actually a pokemon, the discovery putting a wane in Jinx's interest. "Zak." Zak's gaze swept from the horizon to Meebus as he noticed the pokemon spark and shimmer slightly. "Somezing to say, Meebus?" he guessed, brow furrowing slightly. The pokemon wasn't looking at him, and remained quiet a long moment after the question was asked. ".... I still do not believe this is a good idea," was the simple, and flat response he eventually got. It didn't sound chiding, just... a statement. Still, given... everything, Zak's eyes narrowed, and he looked at the pokemon. It was a little too late to really investigate this, but thinking back, Meebus had voiced his displeasure with this mission a few times. He'd always given off a vibe of disagreement with it any time it was mentioned even when he didn't speak up, but up until recently, Zak had still been pretty determined to ignore the rotom's influence.
Diverting his focus, Zak glanced down as one of his pokeballs -- Daeva's, in fact -- gave a very violent shake, and his scowl deepened, mostly to hide any other reaction that elicited from him. He wasn't scared of his own pokemon -- obviously, duh -- but having her suddenly force her way free would be incredibly inconvenient. Especially as a familiar voice spoke up, and he jerked his attention up from his waist, to settle his gaze on the blue haired girl walking towards him. Dropping his arm back to his side, he let his head tilt to the side, and a lazy, appraising look glide over his expression. He wasn't exactly happy to see her -- he was in too much of a mood to be 'happy' -- but at least it was her, and not someone else. "Jinx," he returned, and after a long moment of consideration, gave a nod and added, "Privyet." He looked around, then back at her again, placing his hands loosely into his pockets. He was starting to settle into a begrudging compliance with the situation, while he at least had someone to talk to. He gave a short inhale as something caught his nose, and he paused, btu decided not to ask. "Have you came across any of our uzzer 'teammates'?" he drawled, his voice heavy with sarcasm at the end.
"I don't suppose you mean us?"
Zak's expression immediately darkened, and he started working his jaw as his fingers slowly curled by his sides. His sight remained on Jinx, but from their peripheral approached Adam, a quirked eyebrow on his face as his head tilted to the side and he eyed Zak's expression. Lovely. That was incredibly reassuring. His face relaxed into a polite smile, though, as he shifted his focus to Jinx, his hands in his own pockets as he approached. "Jinx. Pleasure as always. You hear from Kaeden recently?" he asked conversationally, happy to strike a similar note while they awaited their final member.

Jinx cocked her head to the side upon Zak's utterance of a certain word. She recognized it as Russian, if only because she knew he spoke Russian, but she couldn't understand it. It wasn't worth asking for a translation, so she'd chalk his answer up to 'none of your business'. Which it wasn't, she'd just been making conversation. Because he was one of the few people worth doing so. Another voice, from directly behind her, prompted her to tilt her head back juuust enough so she could watch a red-headed figure walking towards them. In her position she could only the dark red tresses, though once he'd actually joined them she could see their entire person.
Adam, the man with hair the color of low-burning embers; it was how she remembered him. With little to discuss with him, and not in the mood to coax Zak into a conversation, she settled into slipping into her own thoughts. That is until Kaeden was brought up. She came back to life, eyes snapping to Adam to study him. There was some interest in her gaze before she looked away to consider something, then they returned to him once she'd come to some conclusion. "I talked to him right before I came here, he's the one who told me about this mission," she answered, a fondness in her voice. "He sounded busy though, so we didn't get to talk for too long." At that she paused, her brow furrowing gently as she scrutinized Adam once more, whatever conclusion she'd come to before hadn't been completely satisfactory, and was still debating something.
"Adam, you see Kaeden more than I do." It was clear the words were a struggle to get out, and she'd begrudgingly wrestled them from her lips. Even if it was a fact, she was now out in the field and both Adam and Kaeden stayed at HQ, she didn't want to admit it. That someone could possibly be closer, even if it was just by proximity, to her brother than she. "How's he doing? He's not under too much stress, is he?" she asked, concerned.
Any talk of Kaeden was a sure-fire way to capture Jinx's total attention, and as such she no longer acknowledged Zak's presence, for the time being, nor did she notice the third individual silently approach the group. Though, that wasn't entirely her fault. The young man who joined them wasn't notable, an average individual of no noticeable build. After taking note of the conversation Jinx and Adam were engaged in he turned to Zak, and to him gave a nod of greeting. "I see we're all here," he spoke, to himself but at a volume that all could hear -- if they were paying attention, which Jinx certainly wasn't. "We can start going over the plan then."

Zak moved his gaze further from Adam as the two started talking, which was honestly probably the only reason he spotted the last member of their party walking towards him. He didn't know the guy all that well, but seeing him relaxed Zak a bit. Not for familiarity, reassurance, or the guy's reputation proving some sort of consolation, but rather because that meant they were all that much closer to getting this over with, which was quickly becoming his primary and only goal.
Adam, however, was more engrossed in his conversation with Jinx. He raised his eyebrows a bit at her comment. "Do I?" he returned, seeming surprised. Honestly, he wasn't, if that was the case, though he hadn't been sure it was. It made sense though; he and Kaeden rarely did field missions, Jinx more often than not did. He offered a kind and reassuring smile at her concern, though, giving a slight side nod. He didn't know her quuuiiiiite well enough to reach a hand out and give her a pat or anything, and he wasn't about to give some flirty response given what Kaeden had, uh... told him about her, but he could provide some reassurance, at least. "I think he's fine, last I checked. You know how Imperium is-- there's always something to do, and something to be done, not to mention side projects and such. I think he's managing it all fine, though," he replied warmly.
He blinked when he heard a new voice enter the conversation and looked over, offering another welcoming smile to the guy, this time with a hint of interest. He wasn't too familiar with him, after all, though from what he'd read in the report, he wouldn't be getting much of a chance to work with him a lot, either. Unfortunately.
"Thi--""Da. Let's hurry up," Zak interrupted, having apparently noticed the other much sooner. Adam shot him a disapproving look, not just for the interruption, but because accent. He didn't bother correcting him, though. "Right.... Well, I'm sure we all got the same general briefing, but the two of you will be presumably heading in first to start with a distraction," Adam started, then paused, quirking an eyebrow, "... Do you have a plan for that?"

Zak gave a very exaggerated roll of his eyes that, when Adam sent him a sharp look, he turned into a roll of his head as if stretching his neck, looking so annoyed it was hard to tell if it was even supposed to hide the action, or exaggerate it. Adam rolled his eyes in turn, and shifted his focus back to Jinx and her teammate-- he knew Zak was listening, even if he acted like he wasn't. And on some level that was... true, but Zak's attention shifted as he lifted his wrist and opened his watch device. He needed a distraction, and while he didn't exactly need messages going off during this whole mission, he knew he at least needed something to... "look forward to". Heavy quotation marks. Something to think about. Something other than the a*****e he was going to be climbing through air ducts with, or however it was they were going to be getting in.

It wasn't much, especially considering they hadn't talked at all since that little festival and subsequent get together off in that tropical region, but it was something. He glanced over when he noticed Meebus hovering irritatingly close, and gave the rotom a distinctive, questioning but annoyed look. The pokemon's gaze moved up just too late to meet Zak's gaze before the russian's sight landed on him, but his expression remained blank and unreadable. Zak rolled his eyes, and dropped his hand down, turning his attention back towards the group. As he did, Meebus looked down at the communicator again.
... And disappeared inside. His communicator fell to the ground, some of the soft dirt quieting the fall just enough, that no one seemed to notice.

"Mm." Jinx gave just the slightest nods of the head, before she turned her thoughts inwards, indicative by the way she turned her chin down and absently directed her gaze to the ground. It wasn't the in-depth, detailed description of her brother's status that she might've wanted, but it was the most realistic answer one could expect. Besides, even if it lacked detailed, it wan't entirely useless. So, whatever small comforts there were in that, she'd indulge herself in them. "Thank you." Keeping with your manners were important, in information gathering scenarios like these; i.e. asking about your brother.
Their conversation died away upon the arrival of the fourth, and final, member of their 'team' arrived, and with it so did Jinx's interest. She knew what part she played in this mission, and that was all that mattered. This general debriefing/sharing of ideas was unnecessarily time consuming. So, she zoned out, easy to do with this partner's of hers level monotone. "I do." The man (whose name was Jordan, as the files had stated) confirmed, before crouching down onto his knees. From off his shoulder, he gently set down a duffel bag and began to unzip it, from the confines he pulled out a building plan, the dark blue paper marked by pen-made circles. "What you need will be in the lab. So, Jinx and I will plant C-4 at four different locations. Here, here, here, and here." With the knuckle of his right pointer finger, he indicated to the four circles he'd drawn. "To start off, at least. It should be enough to pull all personnel, and security, out of the building. That should give you two enough time to get in, and out with what we came for," he explained.
Meanwhile Jinx, who'd 'miraculously' tuned back in, edged her way over to the duffel bag just behind Jordan's feet. With her left hand she gently pulled a corner back, before gasping softly at the familiar off-white brick that peeked out from underneath. Without hesitation she scooped down to pick it up, and with great glee discovered its many brothers and sisters directly underneath it, before turning her attention solely onto the block in her hand. C-4 was great~ It was perfectly light, and wonderfully squishy (or malleable, if you wanted the 'proper' term), but most importantly it was destructive! Even ingesting it was fatal. Jordan, pausing in his explanation, glanced back at Jinx, who cradled her block as delicately as a newborn chick, doe-eyed look included. "You know how to use that without killing yourself," he spoke, flat tone forming it into a firm statement, rather than a cautionary assurance. He waited for Jinx's off-beat head nod before turning back to Adam and Zak.
After several moments had passed Jinx returned the block to the duffel bag, but rather than zip it back up she began to count how many there were in total. 1, 2, 3.... She counted in her head, the pads of her fingers gently running over the surface of each. 14, 15, 16. With a grin, she confirmed a total of 16.

Adam just gave a nod to Jinx at the thanks, mostly because it was, unfortunately, time to get down to business. He moved over as Jordan pulled out the blueprints and they started going over the plan. "Mm, and we'll be using that distraction to get our way into this piping, here, if I recall correctly," he remarked, pointing to a large vent system that came through the side of the building, large enough for them to walk through with minimal discomfort. He glanced over from studying plans to notice, with raised eyebrows, Jinx's enthusiastic interest in the C4, something Zak had been staring at with flat attention the entire time. "... Right." Adam straightened up, adjusting his communicator. "You two can contact us if you need to, but otherwise, we'll wait for your signal, before making out way in," he decided, tapping away at the mobile device. Zak smirked a bit, proudly feeling the weight of his more compact, convenient watch communicator on his wrist. Of course, Adam's had different features....
Once the plan was clear and everyone was, presumably, on the same page, Adam and Zak slinked off, neither noticing the small yellow zap from Zak's wrist. They casually moved off, before shifting to a more stealthy approach as they began scouting out the building, and moved to wait for their signal. Zak glanced over with a frown as Meebus hovered up beside him-- he had apparently dropped his plug, but at this point, Zak wasn't really going to question it. Meebus might have been odd, but he wasn't sure he was careless enough to actually lose something like that, which meant it was intentional. And in a way, he trusted his judgement? He was still figuring that out. Some part of him thought maybe the pokemon did just lose it -- maybe didn't even notice he had -- but he wasn't going to press the issue at the moment. It wasn't the time. Besides, the pokemon being smaller, and not an oven, might not have been the worst idea for a mission like this.
Once the initial explosions went off, they two swept forward, quickly darting over to the vents, where Adam went to work undoing the screws. Zak leaned over and helped take off the grate while the redhead pulled himself in, and Zak followed, holding it in place but looking over his shoulder, down the tunnel, while Adam got it back into place. He kept the lookout while the other worked, and only spared a glance when Adam pulled away, and moved around to take the lead. Honestly, he wasn't looking forward to this. Any of this. He was avoiding thinking about it or even glancing at his partner, but now came the worst part-- the walking. Just... walking. The silently waiting had been bad enough, but at least there had been anticipation. Now was just.... quiet... strolling along, through this vent shaft, listening but otherwise simple navigation, no distractions, no need for keeping an ear out for a signal... nothing. If something went wrong, it would be obvious.
A few moments passed, before Zak got restless, and sighed, glancing around, and grumbling, "So, can you tell me again vhy you and I are in zis particular channel?" He kept his head bowed as they walked through the large piping, his eyes sweeping around for any signs of... anything. Anything else to look at, or distract himself. Honestly, he had hoped Meebus would strike up a conversation or something, but, no such luck. "Seriously, can you not keep your accent down for even... five minutes, now?" Adam answered distractedly instead. Zak scowled. "And you know why. Just like you know why I'm here, just like you know how Imperium works, just like you know why so stop asking." With anyone else, that would have sounded impatient, but somehow, Adam made it just sound wary, like a very tired parent begging their child to stop throwing their toys. Zak frowned and finally shut up, at least for a while. Meebus floated along beside him, an odd energy to him.
"Perhaps you should not be so aggressive, Zak-hav. It is good Imperium is entrusting you with important missions, isn't it?" the rotom pointed out. Zak shot him an annoyed look, missing the glance they received from Adam. As always, the pokemon was looking straight ahead, even as he addressed him. "I vouldn't exactly call zis 'important'," Zak muttered. This time, Adam made his look back much more obvious, a disbelieving expression crossing his face.
"Seriously?" he spoke up, incredulous. Zak shot him a look, but ignored him, focusing instead on Meebus. "I still encourage you to take this seriously. You believe in their cause, don't you?" Meebus pointed out. Zak frowned. "You mean, having absolute control and power over everysing?""You know it's more than that," Adam suddenly interjected, stopping in his tracks and turning to look at him with a frown. Zak turned a dulled gaze onto him. "Right, I forgot vat a pet you are to zem," he drawled in return. Adam sighed, then turned. "Accent," he reminded flatly, instead.
Zak rolled his eyes, before looking back at Meebus with a suspicious, appraising look. "You, on ze-- the other hand, I don't recall being a big fan of Imperium," he pointed out, "Or this mission." Meebus maintained his unblinking, forward stare.
"I believe they will take care of you," he replied simply. Zak raised a skeptical eyebrow, before bringing his gaze around.
"Not ze impression I got..." he muttered. Adam looked back again, staring at Zak, then Meebus, before turning ahead once more.

Off in her own world, of explosive putty and the destruction it would cause, Jinx paid little mind to her teammates' planning. Or, rather, Adam and Jordan's planning. Zak was contributing as much as she was, with his staring, not that the bluenette would've noticed; there was only enough room for one in the land of C4, after all. She was eventually called back down to Earth with a sharp tug of the elbow, and she looked up to see Jordan staring disapprovingly at her. She met his stare with her own, and without breaking eye contact she pulled her hand away and straightened up. "Alright then." Muttering to himself, Jordan took Jinx's place crouching over the duffel bag, blocking her view of it as he unzipped the side of the bag and pulled something from it.
Jinx stretched onto her tiptoes to try and peer over the man's shoulder, curious to what it was he was fiddling with. But, before she could get a good look, Jordan was already standing back up. "Take two of these, and place them at these locations," he instructed, and with a jerk of the shoulder he indicated back to his blueprints. Jinx reluctantly directed her gaze in the direction, before giving in and walking closer to the plans; it was, probably, imperative that she get the placement right. "Wait until you hear my blast before setting yours off. Then, meet me back here." There was an unnatural pause in Jordan's sentence, and was enough to urge Jinx to look back in his direction. "If you have a flier, it'd be quicker for you to make it there, than on foot," he eventually concluded. He sighed, before stepping closer to place two bricks into Jinx's arms, now decorated with colorful wires. "Electrical wires," Jinx identified, a grin quick to rise.
"Have fun, I guess," Jordan simply responded, before including a detonator into Jinx's collection. He grabbed his own 'supplies' before, suddenly, disappearing from the air. She blinked, then looked around the, now empty, area. Bah, teleporting psychics were no fun, there was no thrill to it. But, she had a job to do! A sharp whistle was all she needed to call for her own ride, and within seconds Tanzanite was by her side. The two took to the air, though with Jinx's urging (after all, they were carrying a precious package) it was a much slower trip into the air than usual. But, Jinx made up for it by making quick work of her placement, and firmly, albeit lovingly, placing each brick against the wall. The duo were back in the air within minutes, with Jinx's had impatiently hovering over the detonator, and it was up there, from the safety of the sky, that the two had the perfect vantage point to watch as a sudden eruption shook the very island itself, a plume of smoke, mixed with an incredibly deep shade of orange shot up into the air.
A laugh fell from her lips, full of delight and absolute wonder, as she all but slammed down onto her detonator, and with eyes sparkling like diamonds (or rays of sun bouncing off of broken glass) she watched as a corner of the building collapsed within itself, as the sound of shattering glass joined in with not one, but two explosions.

A silence fell over the group as they walked, and Adam knelt down at a grate, popping out a pinhead shaped object from his pocket. Zak watched apathetically, then frowned as little legs popped out of it, and a small body emerged from below the head. "... Cute," he muttered, as it scurried through the vent, and began undoing the screws. Adam gave him a slightly annoyed look. "Did you come up with that in your spare time?" the Russian sarcastically drawled to follow up. "No, it's someone else's," Adam muttered, drawing back a bit, but grabbing onto the metal grate so that once the screws were undone, it wouldn't fall. A moment later, the little insect-like contraption returned, all four screws magnetically attached to its pinhead shell.
Adam pocketed the little creature (and the screws) and gave the grate a short jerk to get it free, before carefully moving it away, and looking around. And then froze, at the man staring right. Back. At him. They were high off the ground-- he'd thought they might have to find a way down, but as it turned out, there were walk ways up and down the room they had just entered. It was large and spherical, and stretched well above and below their entry point. The room was largely empty, but of course, people still moved around, some guards, a few individuals with clipboards and some with parts. The man standing before them seemed to be a guard, and just as he was removed from the shock of Adam's appearance, and started to move, something crawled over Adam's shoulder, and promptly hit him with a powerful Psybeam attack, successfully knocking the guy out. Adam slipped out, turning to Zak, who was already on his laptop, hacking away at the system. The moment Adam got the grate open, he was in the system, waiting for the signal before he would begin shutting things down. He dropped onto the platform, not even looking up, and promptly input the commands through the system.
Doors started shutting down, and Adam's Espeon darted off, her eyes aglow as she prepared to knock out any others the same as his spinarak had. Before she got far, though, a series of events suddenly exploded-- Zak jerked away as Meebus suddenly turned and electrocuted him; as he stepped back, the ground under them groaned and screeched before collapsing in an explosion of reddish light, metal rending and buckling under the impact. The structure fell away, Adam's eyes widened, and he fell. Zak slid as the metal he stood on folded, but didn't fall, and he managed to grab onto anchored railing in time. And in a flash, Adam's Espeon was at the edge, and Zak felt the echo of her call ring in his ears as Adam lit up, and stopped halfway to the ground. He'd never seen the man look so scared, but as he hovered, it was clear he thought he'd been about to die. His spinarak looked up, stringshot to the most stable beam, and his Espeon let go, darting over as Adam grabbed the silk, and looked down.
Zak was still as everything soaked in. He... had absolutely no pokemon that could have caught him like Adam's had. Braviary, maybe, if he'd thought to release it in time for the pokemon to actually appear and catchhim, but... the fall was far, far enough to kill, maybe only break bones, but not far enough to have enough time to release a pokemon and give it a chance to react. If Adam's pokemon hadn't been as strong as they were, Zak highly doubted they could have caught him.
But... what the hell had caused the explosion in the first place?
It all happened in less than two seconds, but it felt like minutes before a familiar robotic voice broke his shock. "Zak-hav! Move! Meebus appeared in front of him, and Zak looked at him with a frown. When the rotom moved away, his gaze fell to the answer to his question-- a weapon, pointed directly at him. It was like a futuristic cannon of some sort, with a highly reinforced barrel already powering back up. "Please dont' tell me zat's a lasor," Zak muttered, quickly scrambling off, and bolting down the remaining walkway. He pulled out Braviary's ball and tossed it up, releasing the bird into the space beside him. As the weapon swiveled after him, and fired again, Zak hopped the railing and landed on his pokemon's back, just in time for it to pull its wings in and plummet, barely missing the bolt of red light that blasted into the walkway. The room filled with the screech of tearing metal, and Zak snapped his head back, this time catching a better glimpse as the walkway twisted and turned under the sudden disappearance of its structure. Whoever was firing had just disintegrated a key structural component, sending another stretch of the walkway groaning and bending down towards the floor, while broken pieces and melted remains clattered to the ground.
"You're not the only ones with psychics, assholes!" came a shout from below. Zak was too busy ducking debris to get a look as Braviary swept underneath the carnage of the above stairway, but he guessed it was the shooter. He craned his neck to try and see how Adam was fairing, only to find him sliding down a ladder that led towards the floor. Good to see he'd gotten his footing somewhere further up before diving into the fray of guards below. Zak dropped down once Braviary was close enough to the floor level, but let the monstrous bird stay out, as he quickly caught onto the situation and immediately began plucking guards off the ground and lifting them high, high, hiiiiiigh into the air.
Zak hit the ground and moved to stand up, but jerked back when he suddenly found the weapon swung around, and facing him. Again."s**t! Zak, get down!" He heard Adam's voice, but even if he could have reacted fast enough, there wasn't enoguh time. Everything happened... fast, but it felt slow. Before he'd even seen the weapon, some part of him had noticed the yellow blur beside him. There was a surge of color racing towards him. And then Meebus was in front of him before any sense of what was happening could trickle into his consciousness.
"NO!"
And then he was gone. Meebus was gone. It had been a flash of red, and the rotom... ceased to exist.
