Cheria blushed and looked down, fiddling with her dress, as Skylark draped an arm around her. Was she uncomfortable? A little. But, she felt confident enough that she could trust the guy. He let go of her and sat on a bench, questioning why she hadn't challenged the gym yet. "I got an Oshawott from Professor Juniper and was training her up. I...feel like I should get back to it soon. Are you going to train still, too? I wonder if we could have a battle sometime...."
An Oshawott from Juniper? How did she manage that? Cheria wasn't some conartist, was she? Then again....Skye wouldn't really care! Cheria blinked at Skylark's sudden proposal to a date. She covered her mouth before she started laugh. It wasn't a snarky or rejection laugh. She was just so amused. That was the most unorganized yet most charming date proposal she had ever heard! But, it worked. She was very much intrigued. "I've never been on a date before....I mean, I'm not saying no, but....Maybe we should get to know each other first at least."
Huh? Why was Cheria laughing? Skye tilted her head as she watched Cheria come back from her brief fit of laughter. Was she offended? Or, was she just rejecting the offer? Skye...really couldn't tell. But, she got her answer and was a bit relieved. She rubbed the back of her head with a sheepish, somewhat cocky, grin."Hey. Can't blame a guy for trying, right? I don't mind getting all buddy-buddy with you, if that's what'll make you happy."At least the offer was still on the table. It was just...halted. Skye suddenly let out a shout and fell back on her bottom when a Blitzle jumped out, startling her more than she would ever admit. The blonde took some deep breaths as she looked at the Blitzle with wide eyes. Skye recovered quickly, though, and frowned as she stood, patting herself off."Damn who--horse. Gonzo, I'll leave this to you.""Loin!"
As Gonzo ran onto the field, he was suddenly struck with Quick Attack. Damn! Skye had Gonzo counter with Scratch, which he obeyed without question. Blitzle decided to try and weaken the Purrloin by using Tail Whip, but that only meant Gonzo could put in another Scratch. Blitzle struck with another Quick Attack, but it wasn't enough to take Gonzo out. He still had strength left."Finish if off with another Scratch, Gonzo!"Gonzo leapt at Blitzle, striking it with a final Scratch attack, before jumping back and slumping quite a lot. Poor Gonzo.

Cheria jumped back when a Blitzle came out of nowhere after Skylark said he was alright with being friends until she was ready for a date. She didn't even have time to thank him or anything! The other suddenly growled, and started to say something before he quickly changes his word mid-spoken. Cheria's eyes half-closed and she gave one of those "did you really" looks. Nice save at least. Cheria watched as Skylark's Purrloin battled the Blitzle, but it wasn't an easy battle. Gonzo took a lot of damage. But, he came out on top because of Blitzle's unfortunate use of Tail Whip. Cheria smiled at their victory and clapped before she spotted a Patrat thanks to Lupup's bark. Ah! More training for Ariel!
As Cheria underwent her own battle, Skye knelt and treated Gonzo with some potions before returning him to his ball to rest. She then stood with Corrianna sitting on her head to watch the end of Cheria's battle, her Oshawott coming out on top."Hey. Great work, you two. That Patrat didn't stand a chance."

Cheria used a potion on Ariel before she stood, returning the Oshawott to her ball. Looking at Skylark, Cheria smiled. "Thank you. I'm glad she's gotten so strong. I'll be able to challenge the gym in no time and then move on to collect the shards."
Skye was glad Cheria was so close to battling the gym. She still had a long way to go herself!"Don't you mean, 'we'~?"It was fun to mess with Cheria, though Skye would make sure not to do any teasing that scared or hurt her. That'd be awful.

Cheria blushed at Skylark's reminded, having completely forgotten. "That's right. We. Sorry!" She laughed a little as Lupup looked between his trainer and her companion. Cheria knew this person was a girl, right? Oh! Maybe that was why she turned the date down and wasn't so nervous! "So....If you don't mind me asking, you said meteor showers are amazing from where you live. Where is that exactly?" It either had to be somewhere isolated or up high, like a mountain, right? Viewed from a city or other place with light pollution....It wasn't that great of a show. Still awesome, but not as beautiful as it should be.
Skye shook his head. It was fine. Nothing wrong with forgetting. Skye, at least, didn't take any offense to it. Cheria suddenly asked where she lived, and the blonde smiled before simply pointing up. There was nothing there, of course, but even if the ship was over them, it wouldn't be visible due to the cloaking shield thing."I'll show you sometime~."
