One thing Eon noticed about the Abra, was it's shared discolouration like Luffy. A rarity she guessed. She was sure normal abra were a dark yellow, like the one the girl from earlier had. In Luffy's case, the dex showed two different colouration, between male and females, but still... those were just like swapped versions of each other. Luffy was completely different. Her interest in the abra was high to say the least.
Suddenly the Abra shifted. It's snoring ceased and slowly it held up an arm. In it's hand it loosely gripped a bent and twisted spoon, likely the held item of the same name. It turned it's gaze over towards Luffy, and without warning a branch flew across the field right for the feline. Luffy easily dodged, only to find himself slapping away a pebble. Soon an entire onslaught of branches and pebbles were being tossed at Luffy's direction. The feline though... seemed to be playing with the Abra. Each pebble he easily dodged or batted away, at one point he picked up a branch mid-air and began batting away the pebbles, not once targeting the Abra with them.
Eventually, the Abra began to tire, and it's attacks grew weaker and weaker until it couldn't help but slip back into slumber. 'Now Eon, Toss a ball at it!' Luffy called from across the field. 'But what if it has a trainer?' She asked. 'He doesn't, he said so himself. I won, so he's yours.' Eon furrowed her brow. Was that why he wasn't attacking? Because Luffy wasn't her Pokemon? He couldn't fight her battles in place of another one of her Pokemon. "You know.... Why don't you join me, officially?" Eon stated, stepping out from behind her protective tree. Luffy floated over, a head tilted to the side. 'Well... Alright., But I'm still the Captain.' The statement came so bluntly, Eon was rather dumbstruck. She'd forgotten entirely that Luffy had once stated he'd be Pirate King. A small smile finally cracked over her lips and she nodded. "Alright, Captain." Finding two Pokeballs from her bag she used them both on both the Abra and Luffy. Two new additions to the team.

She'd caught the Abra, and with Luffy she now had two oddly coloured Pokemon on her team. Letting the Abra out, Eon introduced herself as well as gifted the Abra with a nickname. He seemed... passive about the new name, but didn't disprove of it. Popping out of it's own ball, the Gekkit, the straight up oddity on Eon's team introduced itself to the Abra. Honestly the two almost looked alike. "Well, I'm glad you're making fast friends with everyone. But we should get going." Eon stated. Calling back Fylgia and Louhi to their poke balls, she started for the path that lead through the forest. Saga traveled at her side while Luffy made his perch on Eon's shoulder. "That stone Louhi has, it reminds me of something I've seen before, but I can't put my finger on it." Eon mentioned. 'Perhaps the Professor will know?' Luffy pondered in return. "Maybe. I sure hope so, I hate not being able to pin point something." Eon held up a hand to her head. "It gives me a headache."

Veronica entered the forest alongside her new companion, Teito. She set Buneary down to walk-- er, hop-- with them and stretch her legs. The Woods were dim, barely any light coming through the tree branches above them. It was peaceful now, the area was quiet except for the soft breeze passing through the leaves, rustling them. However, something else started to rustle as she walked along the path. A bush a few feet ahead of her started to move, and suddenly, a Pokemon appeared! Veronica reached for the first Pokeball she could grab and tossed it, a battle beginning.
A wild Pumkaboo appeared! vs. Lvl 8 Torchic, 80/80 : Lvl 5 Pumpkaboo, 50/50
Round 1: Torchic used Ember! 40 (base) x 2 (effectiveness) = 80 damage It's super effective! Pumkaboo fainted!
Veronica used a Pokeball! One... Two... Three... Pumkaboo was caught!

Veronica picked up the Pokeball, looking it over. Well, that was fairly easy. Hopefully her newest team member was kind. It was a Ghost type, which wasn't her favorite type. They were usually so spooky and sometimes they could get pretty mean. She returned Torchic to his Pokeball and looked to her friend. "So... I guess I have a Pumpkaboo now. I never asked about the other Pokemon in your team." As of now, she had only met his Torchic, Ralts and Happiny.

"Alright all, gather ‘round. We need to have a little meeting." Faraday remarked, removing the strap of his bag from across his shoulder and nonchalantly setting it down next to the base of a tree. They’d been walking a bit now into the forest and it was about time he gave them all their little missions for training. He turned to face them all, hands clapping together as green eyes looked from each of them. Calcifer and the Magikit were still shooting glares and Dresden seemed to be struggling to keep Murphy focused. Once everyone had settled down or at least shut up, he began to speak pacing from side to side as he spoke.
"Alright so as you can see, we’ve got some new faces as part of our team." He gave a look at Dresden and Calcifer before redirecting his gaze to Murphy and the Magikit. "Which means they’ll need a little guidance into how our team works. And seeing as how we need to do a little training before we face the gym leader anyways, this is the perfect time to go about doing that." He stopped and spun on his heels to face them, smile on his face.
"Calcifer, I want you to team up with Sissil here and show him what I expect from my ghost like compadres." Both the ghosts perked up, the Mismagius in surprised agitation and the Magikit in confusion. Faraday tilted his head slightly giving a nod. "That’s right, your name is now Sissil." The pokemon gave him a sort of skeptical look, head tilting in questioning at this newly acquired name. He didn’t really get chance to voice his opinion when Calcifer interrupted.
"What?" The Mismagius responded, gaze narrowing as the detective gave him a ‘you know what I’m talking about’ kind of look. "I want you to show him the ropes. Investigation practices, what I expect of him, you know. Basically everything you already do." The ghost a glance at the Magikit before a look of disapproval crossed his face. Faraday just quirked an eyebrow. "He needs to know. Besides, I like the idea of double man power when it comes to info gathering." Faraday was greeted with silence but eventually he saw the Mismagius give a conceding gesture. Good! Because he was right.
"Dresden, I’ll be counting on you to work with Murphy. We’ll get her up to speed to work with us, hm?" The Buneary gave him a weary look, glancing at the mud fish who chirped in glee at the prospect. That… was going to be some work but he’d grudgingly accepted. Faraday smiled, clapping his hands together once more to conclude the discussion.
"Great! Then spread out and find some pokemon to fight." He glanced to his wrist, humming a little as he took in the time. "Let’s regroup in about… two hours. That should be enough time." He looked through the pokemon one last time. "Understood?" Mixed responses of agreement occurred. Good.

With missions begrudgingly set, Faraday’s pokemon dispersed. Calcifer flew off less than enthusiastically into the forest with Sissil barely on his coat tails which the detective couldn’t help but slightly frown over. Hopefully when they regrouped the Magikit would come back; not that Calcifer was the type to just abandon a new teammate. He ******** knew better, especially when it came to pokemon under Faraday's care; but that didn’t mean something else wouldn’t happen. Like the little trickster running away of his own accord. Calcifer could be a bit of a b*****d at times.
Faith was what he had to bid on for their return and for now, he turned his attention to the two pokemon he’d intended to help. Murphy was still chirping excitedly, prancing around through the grass and leaves that littered the forest floor with innocent excitement. Which, while cute and endearing, wasn’t really training. But before he could set these pair on their way, he had to do something.
"Hey Dresden, come’ere for a moment." He whistled, catching the Buneary’s attention. Giving a single glance at Murphy, he walked over, little white head tilting curiously as he gazed up at his trainer. He wasn’t doing it for long though as the detective knelt down, rummaging and producing one of the heart scales he’d purchased. "Here you go, buddy. This is for you." He remarked with a slight smile. The Buneary looked at the scale with a narrowed curious gaze, head tilting a bit. He’d seen them a couple of times in his life but he’d never actually been given the chance to use one. "You’ll be training Murphy so she’ll be part of our team. That means you’ll need a little more punch in your arsenal." Faraday crushed the scale between his hands as he spoke, opening them and gently blowing the fine dust into the bunny’s face. Dresden winced and sneezed, the briefest of glows appearing before he blinked and stared at Faraday in surprise. Some punch was right; instinctively his paws clutched and un-clutched as he thought of the new move he’d learned. This would definitely help him out in the long run.

"There we go, how you feelin’?" Faraday grinned, Dresden’s paws clenching tightly once more as he gave a determined look. "Buneary!" He was feeling great! Now he’d really be working his way up as a guardian; after all, tricks only got you so far. He would be one tough white rabbit. Faraday smirked a bit, patting him on the head as he stood back up to his proper height.
"Well good, then why don’t you try out that new move of yours and start showing Murphy the ropes?" The mud fish had stopped her frolicking to marvel at the strange sight of the heart scales use, giving a gleeful chirp in excitement. Dresden gave a nod, turning and bounding into the nearby grass, the pair on his trail in the process. It wasn’t long before he stumbled across a Slakoth lounging ideally in the shade. Dresden slammed a paw into another. Perfect.

Dresden swiped a paw across his face as the defeated Slakoth very slowly removed itself from sight. He glanced back at Faraday with a proud look, the detective giving an approving smile and nod, hands lightly shoved in his own pockets as he watched the fight. To be fair, Dresden was already fairly tough; he’d had the bunny ever since he was an egg. But still, it felt good to see him so proud to have defeated a pokemon. Maybe this feeling was further invoked by the little cheer of awe Murphy herself gave. She skipped her way over to Dresden, looking at the Slakoth curiously as it fled before giving more cheers at the Buneary.
Dresden gave the slightest smirk that a pokemon of his caliber could muster, his attention shifting immediately at the sound of the grass behind them shifting behind them. He pushed Murphy back a bit as he moved forward to check, staring blankly at the strange silk cocoon he’d found. Had it not been for the eyes staring blankly at him, he might’ve thought it was some kind of strange egg. With a curt frown, he raised a paw to strike at it. Whatever it was, it needed to go.
"Dresden," Faraday interrupted, stepping into the Buneary’s peripheral view. The bunny paused, tilting his head to look curiously at the man who was gesturing with a pointed finger between the Silcoon and Murphy. "I think Murphy could handle this one… let her have a go." He remarked. The bunny glanced to the mud fish as she approached, chirping curiously at the strange cocoon pokemon, her own little look of determination appearing at the prospect of battling it. A brief moment of consideration and he conceded, stepping back and crossing his arms across his chest as indication that it was the mud fish’s turn to battle.

It was no wonder Faraday had suggested Dresden let Murphy take the Silcoon; it didn’t actually have the ability to attack. Instead it just sat there, attempting to harden its shell to defend against the Mudkip’s attack. And while it had worked the first time, it ultimately helped very little in the end. It was actually, a rather disappointing fight.
But not to Murphy. No for her, she had just defeated her first pokemon ever and with the belief that she’d done it with all the same tough gusto that she’d seen Dresden preform his own battle with. Sure, it’d taken her an extra attack to take the thing down, but ultimately she’d won and that was what counted.
And her trainer seemed to agree. "Well done Murphy. A natural at magic and a natural at battle." He remarked with a grin. She chirped excitedly, though gave him a curious look. Magic? Right, what was that exactly? She still didn’t understand all the hubbub concerning that, but the shuffle of noise behind her drew her attention. Before Dresden or Faraday could comment she was off to battle the new found opponent, some strange worm that had apparently witnessed the previous battle. It apparently didn’t approve of it…

Well that fight had gotten a bit iffy right quick. It was probably a failure on Faraday’s part to let Murphy get her hopes up on such an easy battle; but he hadn’t considered that she would become so eager that she would jump at any and everything. He’d have to remember this small fact and train it out of her; he didn’t need his pokemon jumping the gun so to speak. Murphy gave a weak little cry as she toddled back to meet him and Dresden, covered in a mess of sticky web and flinching in pain. That Wurmple had done a number on her and she was feeling it. Sure, she’d defeated it but it had been really close. That thing had really hurt. Faraday frowned, Dresden immediately hopping to the mud fish’s side and beginning to try and peel the stringy mess off of her.
"Get a little beat up there, Murphy?" Faraday remarked softly, kneeling down and gently checking the Mudkip over. She winced a bit and gave another little chirp, a little bit of distraught in her eyes. Maybe, she wasn’t as tough as she thought. Dresden had made it look so easy. "Aw, it’s okay. Don’t look so down; sometimes it gets tough." He remarked, retrieving a potion and using it to heal her up. She winced a bit, staring a moment and giving a more confident chirp in response. With a grin, he gave the side of her face a little pat.
"Take it slow though, alright? You can’t charge everything at least not if you don’t have a clue about it." Faraday wasn’t exactly in a position to suggest she not charge blindly at things –he was a bit guilty of this in his own right- but there was nothing wrong with suggesting taking a moment to consider what you were charging at. He did that much at least.
Standing back up, green eyes shifted to yet another Wurmple wandering from the grass. He glanced down at Murphy, who seemed hesitant to attack. She gave him a look seeming to seek assurance and with a grin, he raised a hand and ushered her forward.
"You’ve got this Murph, go for it." His tone was confident, just the thing the mud fish needed to regain her drive. With another chirp and a glance at Dresden who also gave a nod approval, she dove for the new opponent, this time intent to take it down.

While one group worked through their own training, the pair of ghosts went about their own. Somewhat. In actuality, Calcifer was just flying through the woods at an unnecessary speed, giving Sissil a hard time in trying to keep up. If it weren’t for the Mismagius darting about crazily, it was the fact that he seemed to purposely slip and maneuver in such ways that left the Magikit running into pokemon of every variation. Which was absolutely annoying. What kind of training was this exactly? What did Faraday have this ghost do, fly around like a sociopath for some reason? This was crazy! Sissil didn’t have time to try and give an angry cry out for Calcifer to stop though as a Wurmple stumbled into his path. He had to halt a moment, sprouting his claws and slashing at the thing.

With the bug dispatched, Sissil continued his pursuit of the Mismagius. "Hey! Slow down!" He called out angrily as he picked up the trail of the ghost, teeth gritting a bit as he received only the slightest of glances back, the Mismagius ducking and weaving off to the side once more. The Magikit gave a bit of a scowl, attempting to roll and follow only to fumble into yet another pokemon. This one was a little more alert. It yawned, eyeing him curiously as he scrambled back to his feet. Great, just great.

Well that had been a close one. It was a good thing Sissil was part ghost, else that Slakoth might’ve left him with a nasty scratch to deal with, and it was far too early to be regrouping. At least, he thought it was. He sighed, rubbing his paws furiously at his face as he tried to regain his composure. You know, this was not what he was expecting when he semi-agreed to join Faraday’s team. In actuality, he was expecting to be pulling more pranks, causing more mischief… maybe even learning how Faraday did his own magic, because he was still fairly certain human’s didn’t normally have any kind of powers. The poor Magikit did not expect to be getting hauled through the forest by the same angry ghost who’d beat him up in the first place.
"Well, that was a fortunate avoidance." A voice chimed, and Sissil glared back to see the Mismagius hovering just a foot or so away, watching him with an unreadable expression. Was he judging him? Sizing him up? He was a lot tougher than he looked! This guy’s attitude was actually really grating the Magikit’s nerves.
"What’s your problem?!" The Magikit hissed, paws lowering ever so slightly as he gave a sharp glare of his own. It was a sort of funny picture really; a Mexican stand-off between two creatures resembling witches, hat-like parts titled downwards ever so slightly to shadow the features of their faces, leaving nothing but glaring eyes to speak in the silence between them.
Calcfier was the first to break it, his head tilting slightly. "Nothing. I don’t have any problems." He responded with a set tone, turning around and staring off as Silcoon rolled into view. He made no move to deal with it, instead floating back and glancing at Sissil. "I’m just doing what I was told to do."
