"You've definitely got a hard hitting pokemon, there, girly," he remarked, pulling out his next pokeball, "But my next one should be able to help break through it's defenses! Let's go, Voltorb!" There was no use keeping an injured party member out on the battlefield. There was a reason why she trained three Ground type Pokemon for this battle. If Sandslash needed back-up then it could definitely count on Graveler. Graveler hardly took any damage from the previous fight but it did take a little bit. The Gym Leader’s Pikachu couldn’t do much since any Electric attacks would be nullified by Graveler’s type advantage. With the Voltorb being hurt by Graveler’s field attack, it looked like this ball Pokemon was a bit of a screecher. Surge folded his arms over his chest, his stance wide as he took the effects of the attack along with his pokemon. This one didn't feel nearly as bad as the last. "Shake it off, Voltorb, and Tackle 'em!" he instructed. The pokeball-pokemon spun itself as it recovered, then rolled forward, hurling its body into the sandslash, taking advantage of its weakened defenses. It might have not been much... but at least it was more, and at least it got the chance to attack again.

It was certain that this wasn’t going to go as easy as her battle with Pikachu. With Sandslash’s defense weakened the Voltorb would have an easier time attacking her Pokemon. However, this did not change in that it will not be able to use any electric type attacks. That is what the Gym was known for and the girl came prepared in making sure that no electric attacks would harm her Ground Pokemon. The girl could feel Voltorb’s tackle as well but something about Sandslash’s next attack struck her that it would be Voltorb’s last bit with her Pokemon. ”Sandslash use Magnitude!”

The type advantage was definitely waring on his team... but, so was the gym leader's fate. It was their job to do their best to put up a good fight against a challenger, even when given a disadvantage. The battle was going the way Misa liked it. She still had two able bodied Pokemon to support the next bit of the battle. Though, maybe they wouldn't be necessary with the plan she had in store for the next Pokemon. While Lt. Surge returned their fainted Voltorb and sent out their Raichu, Misa returned Sandslash in order to summon Dugtrio. Raichu was still stronger than Dugtrio, in terms of levels, but that didn’t mean it had the upperhand on her. The girl watched as the electric mouse Pokemon took damage from Graveler’s Stealth Rock move. It weakened it but that wasn’t going to be enough to end the battle. ”Dugtrio come on out!”
