Landing in Geosenge Town Simon went into the Pokecenter to heal his team up. Pidgeot was a good Pokemon to keep using but Simon was going to try to train up Mankey as much as he can. Once Mankey evolved Simon would trade out Sandslash, Pidgeot and Primeape out for another three Pokemon to train up. Out in the tall grass the first Pokemon that appeared was Golett, so bad for Mankey as the fighting Pokemon would have no effect against the ghost.
Battle
Turn 1 Simon switches out Mankey for Pidgeot (350 HP) Golett (150 HP) uses Astonish - 30 (-20 buff) - 10
Turn 2 Pidgeot (350 HP) uses fly, soaring into the air Golett (150 HP) uses shadow's punch, but it misses

The next Pokemon that appeared in the tall grass was a Emolga, much like the ones he battled in Unova against the electric Gym. Worried about Mankey Simon decided that he wanted to try out Sandslash. Sending out Mankey to his side to watch Simon then sent out Sandslash in order to counter the electric moves. It was a good choice as the electric Pokemon fired off a blast of energy that didn't effect Sandslash at all. Rolling into a spiky ball Simon ordered for him to rush is and use crush claw.

Jacque followed the group out of the cave, his head bowed to listen to their footsteps and the echoes they made around the cave. He kept his hands shoved into his pants pocket, his hat pulled down to shade his face, even in the darkness, with his pokemon walking along behind and beside him. Gamma was keeping his place at Jay's heal, and Machoke strutted along behind him, arms stiffly at her side with her shoulders rolled back and her head up.
The walk was quiet, and tense, but as they started to near Geosenge Bonnie sighed. "So, Jacque... Where you searching for something or just training? In the Cave and in Geosenge," she commented, apparently trying to make polite conversation. Jay frowned, not taken by it. "Both," he uttered lowly, turning his head a bit as he heard Ralts trip behind him. 'Yew okay? Wanna return t'yer pok'ball?' he thought, assuming the little pokemon was in his head. There was a moment of quiet, then Ralts nodded, and gave a small telepathic response to confirm. Jay returned him, turning to look ahead again. "Oh yeah? What pokemon were you looking for?" the other guy asked, glancing back towards him with a curious look.

Jacque frowned. "Why's it matter?" he muttered back. "... Well because we could help you find it," the guy replied, a bit of strain to his voice as he rubbed his temples. Jacque quirked an eyebrow, unimpressed by his tone, but admittedly-- cautiously-- curious. "He's right," Bonnie spoke up, "We have these flutes we can use. We can figure out the right song to play to attract whatever pokemon you're looking for." Jay's frown didn't let up as he considered this. "Yeah?" he uttered, thoughtfully. Hm... He was having a hard time figuring out how this could turn out to be some kind of trick. Sure, they could be trying to get his pokemon out to battle whatever wild pokemon they conjured up, but... he'd kind of already done that, and they didn't try anything then. "S'pose it can't hurt t'try," he admitted after a moment, "Ahm tryin' ta catch sum've thuh eevees that'r s'posed t'be 'round here."

Though Jay obviously couldn't see it, the two exchanged somewhat surprised looks. "Eevee? Really? Well I guess that's not surprising... they're fairly sought after," Bonnie remarked thoughtfully, though she still seemed a little curious. "Well, we should be able to help you with that," her friend added lightly, "I think we've got their song pretty much down. We can go practice if you want to heal your pokemon up and everything." Jay paused a moment, not really wanting to let them out of his sight-- or... perceptive range, rather-- but gave a wave. "Yeh alrigh', ah'll see ya out there 'na sec," he agreed. He wanted to get Annie to the Day Care, and probably rearrange his team a bit.
After a few minutes in the pokecenter, he re-emerged, lifting his head to the sound of music, and turning to head in the direction. As he neared, he heard one of them stop playing, and a voice call out. "Hey, c'mon! We got one!"

Picking up his pace, Jacque strode over, grabbing Heracross' pokeball. Eevees were normal type, he knew, and though he'd had Machoke with him, and still did, he hadn't trained Heracross in a while, and he was sure the mega-evolved pokemon would appreciate it. Zoey started up a series of supersonics to help him see, letting him maneuver his way over. He bowed his head, listening as the music stopped, an eevee call sounding nearby. He enlarged Heracross' pokeball, turning and releasing the pokemon onto the little creature.
"Take it easy onet, Her'cross," Jay instructed, hooking a thumb into his pocket, "Jus' use Rock Blast." Heracross drooped a bit in disappointment, but then puffed back up, leaning back before hurling forth with the attack.
Battle Summary Level 14 Eevee Heracross used Rock Blast! Skill Link maximized 5 hits= 125 + 20 [level buff] = 145 x 1.3 = -188HP to Eevee Eevee fainted! Jay Caught the Eevee!

Before wandering into the next area of tall grass Simon kept Mankey out to look over his moves. Since Strength was a decent move for an HM Simon removed the disc and let Mankey learn the move replacing Leer. Another TM he used was TM #52 Focus Blast, a powerful fighting move for the young Pokemon. Once that was done they entered the grass and were attacked by a wild Nosepass. The rock Pokemon was actually weak against fighting moves so this should be quick.

With one punch the blast knocked out Nosepass. Spraying Mankey with his potions they started to look around some more when there were several female Nidoran coming out to surround them. If there was one Simon would trust Mankey but at such the low level he sent out Noivern instead. Flapping steadily he would take some hits but with Boomburst be able to take them all out at once.

Thanking Noivern for his help and healing him up the next Pokemon that appeared was yet another Golett. The worst Pokemon to train Mankey up again. It didn't matter, he'd keep Noivern out to handle this ghost Pokemon. As he switched out Mankey for Noivern the ghost Pokemon launched a shadow punch at the flying dragon. It barely hurt because of the level difference so Noivern launched back with his own wind attack of hurricane.

The next Pokemon was a wild Electrike and even though it was a higher level Simon healed up and returned Noivern so that Mankey himself could take it on. Taking the tackle of the wild electric Pokemon Mankey shook it off and focused his thoughts before striking a powerful blow to Electrike. Glaring at Mankey Electrike used leer but it didn't matter as another Focus Blast took care of the battle.

Arriving in this town Simon came to train and to possibly catch another Eevee however considering the Pokemon around here were super effective against Mankey it might not be a good idea. Maybe when he was training up a dark Pokemon or something that was strong against these Pokemon he could look for another Eevee. This was mainly because the next Pokemon that appeared was another Golett. Letting Mankey watch as he sent out Noivern again Simon decided they would travel somewhere else to train his Mankey up.

Healing Noivern up and petting him Simon knew it was time to go as the next Pokemon that appeared was Sigilyph which was super super effective against Mankey. Once again Noivern swept in in order to defeat the Pokemon. It attempted to increase its speed enough to go first but it wasn't enough as Noivern whipped up a hurricane that sent Sigilyph flying off into the distance.

According to the Map application on the Pokenav Glittering Cave was nearby and the Pokemon in there would be around the correct level for Mankey to train against. Returning Noivern Simon went back to the Pokecenter in order to heal his team up just in case. Outside Simon sent Noivern out and climbed on letting him know that they were heading to Glittering Cave and with that they flew towards the entrance of it.

Jay took the ball as Heracross handed it to him, sending it to the PC and giving a lackadaisical smile of amusement. "Well, ah guess ya weren't kiddin'. Them flutes do call up pokemon..." he commented. That, or they'd gotten mighty lucky. "Yeah, no kidding," the guy commented, the other two playing. He started lifting his flute. "Here comes another one," he alerted, and Jay turned his head. He'd heard it rustling through some of the flowers, but he wasn't sure if it was an eevee. Sure enough, though, once it had emerged, he was able to confirm it on his pokedex, and once again send out Heracross. He wondered just how many he'd be able to get...

Jay quirked an eyebrow a bit-- the eevee had done something odd-- the others would have seen it shudder, but he didn't really know what it was. He checked the pokemon's information-- apparently it had the ability 'Anticipation'. Noting that, he sent it on to the PC, putting his pokedex away temporarily. "Jus' how many've 'em can ya get t' come?" he asked, folding his arms over his chest. He heard another rustling nearby, but kept his pokedex in his back pocket for the moment. "Depends," Bonnie answered, taking a break from her flute, "But usually only three or so." Jay paused, then nodded a bit. "Alright." He had Heracross go forth for the final eevee, who emerged, shuddering, before lung forward at Heracross, only to get knocked back by the first of his five Rock Blasts.
