Now with the training done, Alex walked through the city. Luckily he had been there before, so finding the pokemon center was easy for him. His attention turned toward Eevee as he spoke to the small pokemon while walking. "It's good to be back in Cerulean and actually ready to challenge the gym. Glad it didn't take long to go to Pewter and back." Eevee was happy to see that her trainer was prepared to take on the second gym already. After this, it would probably just get harder for them, but it was nice for the time being.["Just don't get too far ahead of yourself."]The normal type pokemon spoke, before closing her eyes and relaxing on Alex's shoulder. The water pokemon trainer, couldn't help, but grin as Eevee acted as she always did. It didn't take much longer for Alex to make it to the pokemon center. He entered through the door and headed for the counter to have his pokemon healed up.
OOC: Hey, I quoted the both of you, cause from what I read, I think your characters are both in the pokemon center. If either of you wanted to reply to my post, that's fine. If not or if you aren't at the pokemon center, then don't worry about it. I can just go about my own adventure. lol

Stretching, Mitsu decided it was best to go back alone and train Asuka and Hanataro. Ezra already said he didn't mind if he did, so he didn't have to worry about offending the blond. Smiling, the young scion took a seat next to Ezra and kissed his cheek. He really liked making him blush, the poor innocent fellow."I'm going to head back. Call me when you're done battling Misty and let me know if we should meet up again. See you around, handsome~!"Standing again, Mitsu knelt and picked Mizu up as Hanataro jumped up to curl on his head. Flynn followed Mitsu as the young man left the Pokémon Center and headed for Mt. Moon again. It was dark, so this would be interesting. If they ran into an angry Onix during the nighttime, Mitsu would probably just give up and drop dead. It was a bad enough experience during the day.

Alex Cross Water Pokemon Trainer
Alex let Nurse Joy take his pokeballs and head into the back in order to heal them back to full health. Now it was just a matter of killing time, before he'd be ready to head for the gym. As he pondered what to do, he couldn't help, but overhear another trainer mention a fight with Misty. Alex glanced in that direction, but then back toward Eevee. He decided to whisper to the normal type. "Sounds like somebody else wants to battle Misty too... guess I might need to wait, he was here first, it's only fair." He wanted to take on Misty, but he wasn't the type of trainer to rush and cut in front of another trainer. Though, it also seemed like a good way to potentially make a new friend. Eevee shook her head slightly at hearing Alex's words.["At least you'll get to figure out a plan by watching."]The pokemon was used to Alex not wanting to upset other people, so at least they could make the most of it. Alex looked back and the other trainer was alone, it seemed like his friend had left while he wasn't paying attention. That didn't really matter, so he decided to introduce himself. He walked over toward the blonde haired trainer and stopped a few feet away, Eevee still perched on his shoulder. "Hello, I couldn't help, but overhear that you were planning on battling, Misty too. You were here first, so I figured I could wait until after you to try my luck." Alex said with a smile, trying his best to be polite.

Having been confronted like that, Ezra sweatdropped as he gave a slightly forced smile."Ah....Thanks. I appreciate it."Man, now what? My team can't take on Misty right now. They're not ready. But, I can't keep this guy waiting forever. He'd just have to go with it. If he lost, he would just train and try again.

Alex Cross Water Pokemon Trainer
Alex was glad that the other trainer at least seemed nice enough from first impressions. It felt like he could get along with him. For now though, it would be a good idea to introduce himself. "It's not a problem, I know it's tough enough facing a gym leader, so I'd rather not rush another trainer. Anyways, my name is Alex Cross and this is Eevee. It's nice to meet you." He said the last part while gesturing toward the normal type perched on his shoulder. Eevee wasn't much for introductions, but she knew it could be an issue, so she just went along with her trainer as she nodded her head slightly.["Hello."]Eevee added simply as Alex was always happy to try and meet new people.

Alex didn't need to wait a whole lot longer as his pokemon had been healed back to full health by Nurse Joy. As usual, the experience with the pokemon center was great, but that really wasn't a surprise. (Didn't like that last line, oh well. lol) With his pokeballs back on his belt, he was ready to finally get a chance to achieve one of his dreams. Being from Kanto, he knew quite a bit about who the gym leaders were. The fact that he wanted to be the best water pokemon trainer, of course he knew about Misty and her water types. He was ready to try his luck and hopefully win another badge, though there was no chance he'd want a type advantage over Misty. It would be more of a challenge than getting an electric type and using that. Obviously, a gym leader wasn't worried about that type of thing, so with that in mind, he made his way out of the pokemon center. Luckily this wasn't the first time in Cerulean City, so he knew his way around the city. With that knowledge, it didn't take him very long to reach the gym. Alex took a deep breath, before heading into the gym, right away, he felt at home as the vibe was clearly all about water types. No matter the case, he walked further into the gym, getting closer to the battlefield. Much like he usually ended up doing, he spoke a little louder than usual. "Hello? I'm here to challenge Misty." Alex said, before looking toward Eevee, still perched on his shoulder as usual. "This is exciting." He whispered, while the small normal type rolled her eyes slightl, her trainer not having to say something so obvious.

As Alex entered the gym and called out for Misty, one of the swimmers in the pool made his way to the edge and pulled himself up slightly, adjusting his goggles and swimming cap. "You want to challenge Misty?" He asked, thinking he'd heard Alex right, but he wasn't sure. Voices got really distorted when you were underwater. Before Alex could answer though, one of the girls sitting along the walkway with her feet in the water giggled and glanced over to the other end of the pool. "Miiiiisty~ You've got a challenger!" She called over to the orange haired girl with a towel around her neck. "Huh? Oh alright, I suppose I have a few minutes to spare." Misty shrugged, turning to Alex with a challenging grin. "Hey! If you want to battle then come this way." She instructed, sending out her staryu. "I'll take you on as a warm up for my next swim!" She proclaimed, clearly feeling rather confidant in spite of what little she knew of Alex.

Alex Cross Water Pokemon Trainer
His attention turned toward the swimmer who made his way to the edge of the pool to reply to him. This reminded Alex of his days when swimming was all he did, this really had to be his favorite gym so far. Before he could reply, a girl sitting along the walkway called out to Misty. Alex nodded a bit to the swimmer, at least acknowledging him, before continuing forward as it appeared that he was about to meet the gym leader. He looked toward the orange haired girl, knowing right away it was Misty. This might not have been the first time he had seen her, but this was the first time he met her. Even though the gym leader seemed very confident, that didn't bother him at all as he moved forward into position to battle. Though, first he had to speak as Eevee jumped down from his shoulder, not wanting to get in the way of her trainer. "My name is Alex Cross, it's a real pleasure to meet you, I'm a huge fan. I've been looking forward to this gym for a long time." He said, before continuing. "I feel the same way about water pokemon. First up is, Marshtomp." Alex spoke, while sending out his shiny purple Marshtomp.

Leader Misty
Misty grinned as Alex introduced himself and admitted to being a big fan of hers. "Oh? Well thanks, but don't think I'll take it easy on you just 'cause you're a fan of mine!" Misty insisted, noting that he claimed to love water types as much as she did. That explained a few things. She watched as he sent out a purple colored marshtomp into battle, and looked intrigued. There was a pokemon she didn't see very often, much less one that was purple. "Glad to see that you're a fan of water types. This should be an interesting battle then." She nodded, glancing to her staryu. "Staryu, let's give them a taste of our water pulse!" Misty commanded. Given that the water attack was their strongest and between the marshtomp's water and ground types it was neutrally effective, it was their best shot, especially if the marshtomp ended up getting confused.

Saturdays are my busy day, so that's why there was a wait again. Hopefully this week will be smoother with replies so we can enjoy this battle.
Alex Cross Water Pokemon Trainer
Alex was glad to hear that Misty didn't plan on holding back. This of course was expected from a gym leader. "I wouldn't want it any other way, this battle means a lot to me." Meeting somebody he had always been a fan of was really something special, but he couldn't let that take away from trying his best in this gym. "They really are my favorite type. I've been around water as long as I can remember, so I feel like I can understand them." He said, before blinking a few times as Eevee had nudged his leg slightly. "Don't worry, Eevee, I want to feel the same way about other types too." Alex said with a weak laugh, but then almost seemed to change gears as his attention focused on the battle. He watched on as Marshtomp took damage from the water pulse. Luckily, it didn't confuse him, which would let them counterattack right away. "Hang in there, Marshtomp, lets start off with a tackle." it wasn't the strongest of attacks, but against a water type, he'd have to only attack with really power water moves. Marshtomp didn't have any of those yet, so they'd have to make it work. The purple pokemon ran forward and tackled the Staryu. It didn't seem to hit very hard, but it was a start. Alex did have a plan for if things didn't quite work out, but he did want to keep his own word and match types.

So sorry this took so long! I've been getting so many notifications lately. One time I woke up and I had 13 notices, and I think your quote just got filtered out and I never saw it @ w@
Leader Misty
Misty nodded in agreement as Alex seemed to hold her kind of mindset. An all out battle was the best kind of battle, they shouldn't be any other way, or it was just boring. Alex apparently had quite the history with water types too. "Well it's good that you're sticking with what you know and love." Misty nodded with approval, though the eevee at his feet seemed unhappy that he was getting left out, being a normal type, causing both Alex and Misty to laugh a bit. "I can't say the same for your eevee though." She teased, though Alex assured the normal type that he wanted to grow that comfortable with other types too. "Well you do what you want to. I think water types are and will always be the only type for me." Misty grinned, commanding her staryu to attack. The marshtomp was hit pretty hard, but managed to keep himself from getting too disoriented by the attack to pull off a tackle to counter. Misty's staryu made a hissing noise and rotated it's arms a bit to straighten back out. "Huh. Not too shabby. Why don't you harden your body staryu, that should help buff up against a physical attack like that!" Misty commanded.

That's fine, you are the Captain, so I imagine you have to do a lot of stuff around here. I've had that happen in the past and sometimes gaia just doesn't wanna show you everything.
Alex Cross Water Pokemon Trainer
Alex nodded his head from the comment about sticking to what he knew and loved. "That's exactly right, I don't plan on not training water types after all. Eevee just likes to keep me in check, which I probably need." He couldn't help, but say the last part a little quieter Alex was of course happy to hear that Misty didn't plan on using any other types. He definitely didn't want it any other way. "I'm glad to hear that, cause I know you can inspire other trainers like me." He finished with as now he had to get serious about this battle, so far it was going alright, but Staryu was obviously quicker than Marshtomp. Despite her next move, harden which would weaken any further physical attacks, he was prepare with a counter to it. "Nothing less from a gym leader, but if you can't land any attacks. Marshtomp, use Mud Slap." The shiny water type had been waiting for the next instruction. He sent a stream of mud out of his mouth toward the Staryu. It didn't look to make a dent even, but this was sure to lower the pokemon's accuracy.
