February 26th, 2019: Lanzer Deus de Charity Name Flairsbefore Feb's release of name flairs, lanzer said you guys had special details and new ideas for name flairs. was releasing 3 at once, and then also releasing the ones that didnt have name glow, what you meant? or is there more in the works, but you werent able to get to it? i know lanzer responded to my post before about this idea, but is any of it something youre planning to implement as part of the 'new details' you mentioned?? - keeping all of the name flairs available, no exclusives of limited time then gone forever - theyre $2.50 direct payment when released and after their initial launch month, but then afterwards become available for the equivalent price in gcash?? - i know i originally suggested a price hike, maybe 5$ would be too much, so maybe just an even 3$? that way you can get it for cheaper if you buy during its initial release, but then you get just a bit more afterwards for those who possibly couldnt get it in time for one reason or another [and it becomes a selling point of 'well its cheaper if i get it now' but also if its 3$ in gcash only then it helps people use their gcash if they werent able to directly buy, because a lot of people dont have that option, so they can still get it] - they can go into one of the lesser-used gcash shops?? no need to create a new shop. maybe put them into loyal's bizarre once theyre available for gcash after their initial release on the pledge page? i think thats a great "loyalty" thing to put in! =D Yes the extra flairs were mainly additional flares to be given away for special events. There's always a debate towards how we should handle payment since day one, for the time being we having come to a consensus on changes, as resources are still tight. If we select the link on the front page, when we try to purchase any of the flares the page just doesn't load. If we click a link of the page that has been put in a post, then it will let us purchase. I wanted to mention it here to make sure that it got onto your guy's radar so you won't miss out on too many people attempting to buy when it won't let them. We'll look into the problem today. Not as far as I know, I think the prizes are changed moving forward, and we might add other ways to earn the old items later on. Hi there, We are working on a way for you to access the Daily Grant if you close it. Keep an eye out in Staff Updates! The way the feature is supposed to work is that you get a grant for the days you log in and click on it. The grant is progressive: The first time you click on it, you'll get the first reward, the next time the second. This means if you don't log in on Monday but do on Tuesday you will get the first reward. If you log in on Wednesday you would get the second reward. If you don't log in again until Friday you would get the third reward. Meanwhile if someone else had been logging in every day they would be up to reward number five! I didn't notice it yesterday that I had to click on it when I logged in, I just clicked elsewhere on the window like usual to close the grant window. So if we logged in and didn't click, does that mean we are out of getting a days' prize? Hi there, You do need to click on it to get the grant for that day. We are working on a way so if you close it by accident you can reopen it.

We are working on fixing the Daily Login issue, sorry it's taking longer than expected. The prizes will change over time, but won't be a grab bag only format moving forward. That way people who can't do the direct payment can still use their gaia cash that they paid for in order to pay for them =D I also know gaia cash is still inflated, so it would be a great way to get some small payments going through! Because it's a casual enough buy, I think people would enjoy it. You can keep the price point the exact same [250gcash] However I think a very small price hike would be just fine [300gcash] That way, if you do the direct payment, you get it SOONER and CHEAPER But the price hike isnt so much that it would be unheard of or unfair. This way people who support gaia by buying gcash, don't have to choose between buying gcash, or buying a flair. Because let's be honest there is a definite disparity in those choices, most would go for the gcash. But then it would be useless towards a flair. Dont make users choose how to support you.... if theyre supporting you, it should be enough! why turn down people using your premium currency??? I'll run your idea by the sales team. I think initially the team wish to keep to how we used to handle MC, where items werent' re-released. I don't know all the details but will make sure the team hear about your idea.

March 26th, 2019: Lanzer I Noticed You Features - PledgesHey staff! I hope your week is going well as we head into spring! I have discovered something where when you buy a Pledge for $2.50 it shows up on the Gcash purchases log....but along with it is a credit of 250 gaia cash in the log (but not for real, you dont get that gcash) It really confused me as I was checking my logs as my balance was wrong. Maybe fix so it doesnt say those purchases grant Gcash? It's kind of hard to read the new app data to find new resources since you're using a socket D< There's no plan to remove the old API's, so you should be fine. We are building new API's that follow a more unified standard but that won't affect the old API's. We're not using GSI's at the moment as there are backend issues that makes it harder to develop.

So, for example, Monday you get plat/gold. Tuesday you get an item, then Wednesday you get plat/gold again & so fourth. Also, thanks for reading my idea, and keep up the good work ^^ We have plans to change it up from time to time depending on the week/season/events that are occurring! It took me a bit of time to prep the latest mystery grab bag and learn how to change stuff in the back end! Thanks for the feedback, I'll pass it on to the team! June 10th, 2019: Lanzer Knight Yoshi Feature: New GSIIn order to not slow down the 712 GSI requests further by adding more information returned, would you be willing to add a new GSI that takes an item ID and returns all of it's children items' data, like what gets returned with 712, but for all of the associated children. Example: I give it the Anima Adamantea ID (#31825) and would returns data for all: Anima Adamantea (chest gem) (#31869), Anima Adamantea (metal egg - in arm) (#32337), Anima Adamantea (glowing bracelet), etc... While I can get the parent item data from the item_search table, it is not currently possible to get the child item data. https://www.gaiaonline.com/marketplace/itemdetail/31869Thus if I were to get the data, I'd have to scrape the marketplace one-by-one, and given the sheer amount of child items there are, that's not practical. We should have GSI calls to get child info, if not, I can slip that into 712 or make a new GSI call with it. Lanzer Knight Yoshi Information QueryThe 712 GSI returns a thumbnail and thumbfile property. The thumbfile is what's used for the item's icon. What is the thumbnail image for, and how would I access it? For instance the Angelic Halo (#1404) "thumbnail":"m_head_69_thb.png","thumbfile":"7620e03a57c.png” Thumbnail is actually for internal use only. Only the thumbfile is put online. We did not want anyone to dig for unreleased items so all names are encoded. I'll remove it when I work on that gsi call again. Lanzer Knight Yoshi Information Query #2Game items have a "class" and "subclass" property, some of these come back as numbers. What is the value of the numbers, is it suppose to be a foreign key in your database? Only class is used in a meaningful way and subclass is always used for sub-systems that usually aren't useful.

July 2nd, 2019: Lanzer Purrsuasive FeaturesQuestion: For the Kitten Star pledge I am wearing, is the glow supposed to be intentionally super light? I see that it has a yellow glow if I look closely, but it's barely noticeable on the white backgrounds on forums. Was wondering if you guys could make it more noticeable like the gold in the zodiac flair (that's yellow)/dango flair/angelic halo flair. (Super nitpicky question I know, but someone else in CB was talking about the pledge glows and pointed out that it would have not been noticeable as a gold glow if I hadn't brought it up.) I'll ask about the glow with the art team. I believe the light glow was intentional.

As obviously they are volunteers who are very busy and sometimes things will come up in their lives which means they may need to step away from this position, are there any steps being taken to bring on new users who are interested and meet the requirements? We do have some new mod applications, and once we get organized the training will begin. Separately we are making other changes to gain new members.
