Letting out a shaky breath the woman nodded, "Okay.... okay." She squeezed her eyes shut for a moment and then opened them to try and meet Evan's, avoiding Sasha's gaze as much possible. "Most of them have been sent to the buyers, we've been using room service to distribute them. The last one's in the room, but I don't know how long they'll wait for me to get back before running."

Sasha finally rose from the woman's lap, all feline grace and purposeful motion. "When and where is the transaction to take place? Who is the buyer?" She stretched lazily as she moved towards the window near the desk where the dossier sat. Sasha paused to run her fingers along the description of the artifact that had been given to them by the doctor. If she was the buyer, the solution would be an easy one. There was an odd thrill that shivered down her spine at the thought of pretending to be Vivienne.

It was a relief to see Sasha abandon her perch atop the other woman--being out of arm's length meant the blonde was safe, for now. Still, Evan turned to keep Sasha within his peripheral vision, just in case.

"Tomorrow night, we're having dinner again," the woman answered more easily this time. "If I'm not there she'll know something's wrong." And then she finally looked at Sasha and smiled.

"Something is already wrong," Sasha crooned softly, reaching out for Evan so that they could move away from the woman for a more discreet conversation. Only once they were out of earshot did Sasha whisper, low and lethal, "We cannot wait until tomorrow night. We go to the room, take what we need, and leave. If she has the knife, we must assume they have other weapons at hand, as well. What do you suggest?"

Evan looked over his shoulder at the blonde as Sasha pulled him away, giving her a once-over before turning back to Sasha. "At this point, it may be the best option. Weapon aside, she's not a soldier, and now there's only two of them. We know what we're looking for--I can hold them off while you grab it. But she mentioned buyers, as in multiple, staying here in the hotel. You think we should go for them, too?"

"To what end? We're here for one thing. The artifact that the doctor wants, along with the manuscript." Sasha glanced over at the blonde. Breaking her neck was going to be so, so satisfying.

The blonde looked ready to either burst into tears or vomit.

"Because," Evan said, angling his body to interrupt Sasha's line of sight to the thief, "do we really want a bunch of potential artifacts in the hands of people who already have access to stuff like this?" He waved the knife for emphasis.

"That wasn't part of the mission, Evan, and if the other artifacts were of any importance, the doctor surely would have mentioned them. He did not, and so we will take what we have come for -- and if anything else happens to fall into our lap, we will take them, as well." Sasha gave Evan a mighty frown when he blocked her view of the blonde. "I think we should go to the room - if need be I can masquerade as the buyer, and once we get a feel for the situation, we strike."

Evan turned his head to frown over his shoulder at the thief. He really didn't want to have to clean that up. "Okay," he, said, turning back to Sasha, "but you'll at least put it in your report, right? So someone else can follow up on it?"

"Of course I'll put in my report," Sasha crooned, slowly edging around Evan with a hungry look in her eyes. She very gently patted his chest. The decision had been made, then. Something would have to be done about the blonde. "I'll take care of this mess if you'd like to relax for a little while, Evan. Doesn't a hot shower sound nice?"

Evan nodded, satisfied with their compromise. He didn't like knowing there were other potential artifacts in non-Deus hands, but they only had intel on the one they were after anyway. "Guess I should clean up a little more if we're going down there," he said, his hands still smeared and dotted with blood. "I can be ready to go in 5." He pressed a kiss to the top of Sasha's head as he made his way into the bathroom, taking the knife with him.

As soon as Evan was out of sight, Sasha moved towards the blonde with a quickness that told of her superhuman status. She nimbly avoided the rank vomit and leaned in to thread her fingers into the babyfine hair at the blonde's temples. "I'm very annoyed with you, darling." The blonde would never speak another word, as with a quick snap-twist, Sasha effectively severed her spinal cord. She fell to the floor in her own vomit, and Sasha stepped back and dusted her hands off. "You shouldn't have cut him," she hissed softly.
