"Mm, sea urchin, also very good. I can't seem to break away from eel, but I'll get you some urchin if you like."

The sushi place was small and away from the crowded main street, actually behind it. It was baren as was the perimeter of the shop. Enju hopped up on a stool, twitching his ears to hear where the manager was.

Kage stared off at nothing from his position ontop of a wooden barrel on the street. His back ached slightly, pronounced only more clearly by a sharp burning in his lower lumbar. Staring, he was good at. Watching no one at once, the Gehaka's wings shifted a little, the swords at his side shifting as he tilted them, otherwise not moving much. Kage was a freed Gehaka, in a sense. His pack was resting at his feet, and he kept what was left of his money tucked away on his person, not that anyone would be able to pickpocket him without losing a limb or two... He was not particularly tall, and not particularly muscled, however he was lean and fit, long black hair pulled into a tight ponytail at the base of his skull, black tipped ears twithcing a little at some of the louder sounds around him in the bustling street.

Noriko moved down the street in a quick, swaying motion. His lids were lowered and he was watching his feet, not really where he was going. Only another Haka would dare bump into him, and only if they had a reason to. Or were being oblivious to their surroundings, like himself. Though he doubted that possible, when you stared at your feet you often found you could see just a little around you, and it was easy to avoid walking into another set of feet.

Though staring at your feet also made it impossible to see items coming at you! Suddenly he heard a shouting of 'duck' and 'heads up', which seemed to stir the fine hairs on the back of his neck. His face snapped up and his eyes widened as he gave a little yelp of surpise. Headed right for him was quite a few fruits! Why was anyone throwing fruits around? He dodged to the side, which was a very dangerous thing to do in geta sandals, and seemed to loose balance. Oh this shop owner would pay! He was being made a fool!

He gave a strangled little shout as he toppled sideways, right near Kage.

Kage heard the yell, his ears swivelling forweard towards the sound, and focusing his eyes to see what was going on. The fall was easy enough to see coming, and he slid down from the barrel and caught the Haka before he hit the ground, not picking him up entirely, but righting him instead, trying to be as gentle as possible of course, because Haka hated having to accept help that they hadn't asked for in the first place, and he knew quite well he could get yelled at if he didn't tread lightly.

Noriko hissed slightly, though he was thankful he felt hands supporting him, and not the hard ground against his deligate bones. As he was righted he brushed himself off, furrious. His hair was slightly messed, but nothing that ruined the beautiful, blond strands. His eyes cut sharply around for the shop keeper, but he couldn't spot him. Further more, most of the Gehaka were headed away as fast as their legs could take them; they'd have no part in this.

So had it been another Haka with the gehake who'd spilt the fruit? Perhaps. He turned fully about, eyes landing on the one who'd cought him. Instead of thanking him he decided to question the other. "You, did you see who's fault this was?" He asked, his tone icey. Well at least he wasn't screaming and demanding to know who'd done it, right? Despite the fact that he should have been watching where he was going in the first place.

He considered that for a few seconds, letting the words sink in, staring down at the Haka, his ears slowly moving back a little bit, not quite into an afraid posture, but not one of rebellion either- he wasn't that stupid as to think the Haka had no hold on him. He looked back over across the street, and then he said "I believe someone tripped, he was carrying a crate... " staring off a few seconds more where the incident had happened, trying to replay what had been in his sight, then adding "I did not see quite what he looked like though." glancing down at the Haka, and then giving a faint incline of his head "My appologies."

Noriko prused his lips together, trying to decide if he was covering up for whoever did it, or honestly didn't see it. His eyes swayed toward the fruit, bruised now and a slightly dirty; nothing he'd eat, but still a waste. "Pitty, people should be more careful with their products." His voice was less icey, he was calming himself down. He hated seeing those Haka who threw fits and got angry at the silliest of occurances, true he did that, but he was learning to take control of that anger.

One hand slipped up to a temple, fingure tips brushing his skin. He was trying to recall why he was here, why he'd come to the market area. "Why are you standing idly about, boy? Gehaka who let time run free often get punished for it." Well, 'owned' gahaka that is.

Kage blinked at him, and replied "I'm sure he will be held responsible for his misdeed." waiting a little bit and then letting an ear flick slightly at the harsh question "My mate died a few months ago, I have no job, my time is free and no one will suffer for the way that I spend it other than myself, Honorable one." which was why he was spending all his time doddling about, doing things he had always thought he wanted to, back when he had no free time. (work, gotta run.)

(see you!)

Noriko coughed lightly, hand covering his mouth. Ah, well that had been a mistake then. "Oh, I beg your pardon. Oviously spend your time how you'd like, then." Even though that wasn't his dicision.

His tongue ran over his lips, paying careful attention to the dryness of them, he needed some type of moisturizor. His eyes fluttered to the skyline and he sighed, why did the days pass so quickly, recently? He should have brought his First with him. "I did not realize it was getting so dark.. I must hurry along." He huffed. "If only.." He trailed off, seemingly lost in his thoughts of what he'd needed to buy.

Shinku walked though the main street slowly in the dainty sandals. He had to be careful, the sandals though keeping his kimono from the mud where difficult to balance in. He looked down at the sandals to grumble slightly at them. If he had his way, he would not be wearing the sandals.

He flickered back to his list. He had to get a kimono his mother comissioned. He wished his mother would allow him to comission his own kimono's, but his mother was controlling.

User Image Shizuka was particularly busy today in the marketplace; His mother had ordered him here to buy supplies for the boatshop and to deliver some old material she had left over after making some sort of frivolous Haka object... Unfortunately for Shi, the box in which the material was laying was rather large and he, being the clumsy one, never saw the incoming Haka headed straight for him.

Toppling forward over an unfortunately misplaced stone, he threw the box into the air and sprawled out onto the ground, mud covering his bright skin and dark green trousers. Cursing loudly, he scrounged around trying to pick himself up, not even noticing he had knocked someone else down...

User ImageBefore he knew it, he was flat on his tush, in the mud, and his head ache. Shinku set his hand on the pounding ache and pulled back; his jade eyes wide at the spot of mud and he swore, loudly, not at Shizuka but the wound.

He attempted to stood and winced, damn shoes, his ankle had twisted. Well, there goes shopping for today. He pressed his lips together and stood tapping his foot gently on the stone. "Owch..s**t.."

He always thought the sounds of the streets were just as beautiful as those of a crafted insturment. But, he had more important things on his mind. He had managed to get enough money to last him a few days, and he was searching for just the right restaurant to spend the last of his change in.

Fingering the silvers in his pocket, his hand rubbed against a torn piece of sketchbook paper, and he almost smiled.

User ImageShizuka quickly checked himself and found that he was, thankfully, uninjured. It was quite the source of annoyance when he did get cut; the bleeding like nuts, the having to run away if in a public place, the hemophelia. Shi sighed audibly, but then heard the loud swearing. He visibly tensed, his wings pulling closer to his body, his ears perking, his back arching.

Slowly turning round, he gasped and thought to himself - Oh, no, you've done it now! He knelt and said, "Oh my! I'm - I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to! I'm such a clutz!" a spew of apologies gushed from his lips as he offered a hand to the injured Haka. "Are you hurt? Can you walk?"

He was clearly panicking. (How typical of him.) But at the same time he seemed genuinely concerned for the Haka's well-being.

User ImageThe haka looked up at the Gehaka groveling apologies to him. "It's alright, my sandals caused most of the trouble." Speaking of which, he was missing one. He glazed around and sigh seeing it tilted upside down in a puddle. "Lovely."

He held his hand out to the other. "I'll be alright. Stop panicking, please. I am not going to eat you for knocking me in the mud." Though he now needed to find some new clothing. "I don't know about the walking though. My ankle twisted, slightly, mind you but still."
