Valentine listened to the conversation they were all having. Not being much of a talker himself, he didn't take any part in it for the moment. It was a bit weird to have all the build-up before the battle, but apparently there were some connections here. The girl who was shaking a minute ago, but seemed to have stopped now, was Anne-Drew's sister. It looked like they disliked each other... hopefully they downright hated each other. If Anne ended up going soft on her sister, he or one of the others would have to step in and finish her off. But hopefully it wouldn't get to that point.
On another note, Mr. Hatter, as he has been dubbed, and Dakota didn't seem to be getting along... at all. Well, that would probably either throw off Dakota a little bit, out of anger, or get him even more riled up and ready to fight. Preferably the latter. When Mr. Hatter sent out his first attack, Val smiled a little bit. A shadow user. How cute. Anne-Drew or Demetrius could teach him a thing or two. Though, Dakota would probably want him, which was alright too.
Val pulled himself out of his thoughts to start doing something, when he realized that one of the four of them was missing. Or rather, was hanging from the ceiling. ...Wait, hanging from the ceiling!? He held back a chuckle at the Hatter's reasoning for hanging him there. What? It was funny. "Oof!" Val let out a grunt as Dakota was thrown on top of him. He tossed a dagger from his pocket at the Hatter after Dakota's light ball, hoping at least one would hit him. He accepted Dakota's help getting up, then glaring at the Crimson Hatter. Soon, more than just his hat would be red. "I'm fine." He said, glaring at the boy for a moment then looking at Dakota to assure he wasn't mad at him. "Just a bit more ready to get rid of this pest." He said with a smile that was extremely obviously fake. He felt the handle of another knife in his hand. Using a lot of magic would wear him out too easily right now.
I'm glad Val was a good cushion for Dakota, XD Lol, I don't know where he keeps all these knives, but he's got them. (he'll run out eventually though)

Pain...
Such a beautiful thing
Demetrius Donavan
Demetrius grinned "not nearly as intriguing; she is a cheep imitation" he shook his head and "your composer" he snarled at Dakota and when he was lifted up and flung down he was going to have to watch both Anne-Drew and Dakota but right now Anne-Drew seemed better off "only one of your poor composer would be such a thing as mad" he was thriving of the feminine man's and Dakota's anger.
Isabelle couldn't help nod slightly in agreement with the blonde hair boy calling Kasper adorable but noticed the dagger young man had his guard off and lunged at him with her dagger hoping she would be of at least some help.
Demetrius noticed Anne-Drew's shadow seemed off so he readied his shadow ready to stop her sister at any time with his shadow but also knew it was not his battle.
OOC: biggrin I'm trying to be smart and not get Isabelle killed
Anne simply said nothing more trying to keep her own composure. She knew though she didn't really talk to her sister, Aly could sense weakness. She'd sense it in a heartbeat. All she needed to was get her sister back afraid and on the defensive. As long as she was shaking she'd pose no threat. Anne only said two words. "Sic 'em." Her snarling shadow obeyed her charging right her sister. Aly used her telepathy and tried to strike the shadow, but right before they'd hit she'd no longer had her shadow be solid. It wasn't until it had sunk it's teeth in her sister's leg.
But instead of screaming and shaking like Anne expected Alissa used her free hand and unzipped the pouch holding all her kunai. They all feel to the floor with a loud clink. Alissa though seemed un phased by the teeth in her leg. "Anne h-how will you p-protect yourself when y-your shield is over h-here?" Alissa said lifting the knives with her powers and throwing them at her sister. "...s**t." Anne muttered as the wall of knives came closer and closer to her. Her shadow quickly returned to her shielding her from the knives. But Aly was relentless constantly attacking the shield Anne had made. To constantly have her shadow solid was a huge pain in the butt to Anne. But it was the hand she'd been dealt. So she quickly transformed her shadow from a wall of protection to a cocoon holding the kunai. Anne then charge at her sister. Aly quickly backed away from her and kept trying to free her kunai. Anne's shadow wasn't strong enough to hold them so they broke free. This time she spilt her knives in half. Some were aimed dead for Anne the others right at the individual who called her a cheap imitation.
It was a Blackmon Battle to the death. Neither sibling seemed to be giving the other any room to gain the advantage. But it was obvious Aly was starting to tire Anne. Even though Aly's leg was bleeding it was as if the wound was just giving her adrenaline whereas Anne's injury was giving her a serious headache. Anne could only hope no other students were coming soon.

Dakota Faux ☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Kasper looked to the vampiric male again as he'd called his composer poor. The corners of his lips couldn't help but curl into a Cheshire-like grin. "Well, I for one, take pride in my insanity. I couldn't live with myself otherwise." He said with a light chuckle. If it wasn't clear already, Kasper's sanity was hanging by a thread. This, unlike the other times he went crazy, was purposeful. He knew how he was when he let go of his sanity and that seemed to fit this fight. He was not on his toes, clearly, since he just barely missed the ball of light that was aimed for him. However, Kasper didn't see the dagger right away since the glare from the light messed up his vision and it brushed up against his upper arm. He winced slightly in pain. "D*mn it." He muttered under his breath. Kasper looked at the cut which had cut through his jacket, wincing once more. Well that was gonna hurt for a while. Around the spot where he was hit become a darker shade of red than his jacket already was, now bloodstained. He grabbed the knife up from the floor, well he could make use of this at least.
Meanwhile, Dakota was relieved that Val was neither mad nor hurt. He saw that Val was... smiling? Well he knew it was fake but his face was still contorted into a grin nonetheless. He hadn't seen Val smile--fake or real--in a long time. Not since that incident anyway. He smiled back at him and nodded in agreement. He noticed the girl with the dagger coming at Val. Dakota, not really thinking very clearly now since he was a little light headed from being held upside down, did the only thing he could think of doing. He took the bullet for him... Or, the dagger, in this case. There was a dagger through his hand. Dakota couldn't react due to shock. Eyes wide, he merely looked from his hand to the girl and then to the blood that dripped from his palm. Well at least he had a slight advantage being within close contact with this girl. Dakota, with his free and not stabbed hand, formed a ball of light which. He thrusted it at her and aimed for the girl's stomach.
All the while, Kasper saw that no one had yet dared attacked the vampiric one. He took it upon himself to be the first, in this case. He was sick of the blond p***k, anyway. He seemed distracted by the Alissa's fight. Good, that would give him an advantage for the time being. Sinking into his shadow, Kasper crept across the floor and then behind him, throwing the dagger that he picked up at him from his shadow.
A satisfied look crossed Val's face for only a minute, as he saw that his dagger had hit Mr Hatter. Unfortunately, he seemed to be taking the dagger with him. No matter, Val had more. He noticed the knife coming at him out of the corner of his eye, but there wasn't enough time to react. He braced himself for the pain, then stared at Dakota when he realized he had taken the dagger for him. There was nothing to say and nothing that he could do for it, they were in the middle of a battle. He made a look that was supposed to mean "I'm sorry" and then turned to the girl who had thrown it. "Nice shot, but you'll need to be luckier than that now." He said, noticing that the Hatter had now gone to play with Demetrius. That left her to them.
"Please, allow me to return the favor." Valentine said, pulling another dagger out of his pocket.. Behind his back he formed a single small ball of light and shot it at Dakota. It would hopefully take the edge off the pain in his hand. It was the same as his move that protected in defense, but right now he was only strong enough himself to create a small one. And a small one would only cover his hand for a minute. As soon as Dakota's light ball was gone, whether it had hit her or not, Val threw one of his daggers. It was a bit of a reckless throw, so it wasn't likely to hit, but hopefully it would scare her a bit.
Val refuses to call him anyone other than mister hatter.

Pain...
Such a beautiful thing
Demetrius Donavan
Demetrius was about to retort the feminine man's comment but stopped; there was something far more important to him now Anne-Drew was hurting more than she let on for she had not even showed the slightest reaction to his praise, her not responding to his praise was like a feast without food - something wasn't right.
When she said 'sic 'em' Demetrius almost lunged losing his sight on her shadow but she somehow held himself back. He was in a hazy state between man and best. His first instinct was to rip her sister apart but it wasn’t his battle and couldn’t lose sight at the task at hand, could he?
Her shadow hit and the smell of blood pulsed threw him and he was using all his will power to keep control and just as he thought he had his senses secure Dakota started bleeding "arh" he roared as his blood lust increased, even if they won if he didn't get blood soon they would all be in trouble.
He watched Anne shield herself and had a though that maybe Anne-Drew would be fine and he could keep his word too, wrong. "Ahh" he groaned as a dagger hit him dead in the center of the back which slowed him down but didn't stop him. He managed to dodge the daggers aimed at him but the speed decrease forced him to take the daggers meant for Anne-Drew instead of being quick enough to take her away.
His mind had been made, he would portray his word, face Chloe's raft later, but now for the first time in over five-hundred years his feelings were more important than his word "I always enjoyed pain" he smirked as he took out each dagger out; blood pouring from him as he did so, he had taken a lot of damage and his senses and humanity were almost completely out of control but sent his shadow to stop her sisters movements just the same. Dakota's and Valentine's light balls providing good light for his shadow but as to what to do about the feminine man he had to think fast.
Isabelle was shocked at the blond boys courage "very admirable" she said but her smile was turned into terror as she saw the ball of light; screaming she did her puppet move and collapsed all her muscles and fell to the floor dodging it but knew she would be defenseless if someone was to attack right after.
It just was a reflex. When one sensed pain coming one braced themselves. Some froze, some dodged, others braced. Anne was just one of those individuals who closed her eyes, braced, and prepared for the worse. So when no pain came she was shocked. Anne reluctantly opened her eyes and standing right before her was Demetrius. Aly too was shocked by this. Why would he shield Anne? As he began pulling each one out like it was just a toothpick Aly began shaking again. He was clearly mental. Trying to avoid his crazed gaze Aly looked down at the floor. It was then she realized his shadow was after her. Aly though was no stranger to acting quickly and being light on her feet. She quickly backed away from his shadow and tried to keep enough distance to where it wouldn't entangle her. But this kept her attention away from her sister or the others.
Anne was thankful she had the chance to breath, but her mind was elsewhere. Why did Demetrius protect her instead of go for the shard? He protected her even in his own weakened state. Anne didn't know what to think. Mustering the strength she could she mentally made his way in her mind. What she discovered shocked her. His humanity was hanging by a thread yet he still sent out his shadow. He was caught between a rock and a hard place. Man vs beast. Instincts vs humanity. To know he was going through such almost tore her apart. "Demetrius are you alright? Can you even hear me? Save your strength. Don't lose yourself for my sake. I'm fine alright. Trust me...You still owe me a dance remember? You promised." Anne told him hoping to keep the beast at bay as her shadow took the form of a boa constrictor. Instead of Alissa it focused its attention on the puppet girl. Once it had closed the distance between them her shadow began to coil itself around her. But the hold it had on her was not very tight. It wouldn't be enough to cut off her air supply and barely enough to hold her. But hopefully she'd stay still long enough for her to get in a good hit. Anne slowly bent down and picked up one of Val's discarded daggers and began to walk towards the puppet girl.
Val watched as all of the girl's muscles collapsed and his dagger ended up hitting the back wall. What was she doing? She managed to dodge the attack, but... was there some other part to this move? It would be best not to get too close to her, just to make sure. He pulled another dagger out of his pocket and handed it to Dakota. "Try not to use too much magic. It might be difficult with just one hand." He said.
Valentine was going to continue attacking the girl, but Anne seemed to have other plans. There was a shadow-snake or something holding her up now, and Anne was closing in. Apparently she was ditching her sister and moving on. Well, that was fine with him. He looked to the other Blackmon girl to see someone's shadow was after her as well. Probably Demetrius, trying to save Anne. Speaking of which, he was looking very stressed himself over there, but it didn't seem like anyone had attacked him yet. 'Wait, he's a vampire. This could get very bad, very quickly... He thought to himself, realizing that is Demetrius didn't drink soon he'd go crazy. He might just go after everyone. How could they avoid that?
Then, he saw the little shadow moving across the floor. That must've been the Disappearing Hatter at work. Valentine realized after a moment that he had just been standing there for a bit, and decided to continue instead of just observing. 'That was dangerous... someone could've hit me there and I never would have known...' He thought to himself. He followed his first instinct, shooting a ball of light at the Hatter's shadow. Though, if he didn't come up to get hit by it, the ball would probably just hit the floor and disperse. But hey, it would at the very least let him know that there were others that were going to hit him.
Dakota gave a smile back, in response to Val's apologetic look, as a way of saying 'it's okay' and flinched slightly when Val sent the ball of light to him. He looked very confused when the girl collapsed onto the floor. "... the hell?" He mumbled. There was still a dagger in his hand... maybe it would be best if he pulled it out? And so he did, wincing all the while. So know there was just a hole in his hand and the bloody dagger dropped to the floor. When Val handed him one of his own daggers, he nodded. "Right... Thanks." He said with what he could muster of a smile. Blood loss + pain + shock = a not so strong Dakota. He watched as the girl was attacked by Anne's shadow. Served her right!
Kasper meanwhile, silently celebrated when the dagger he threw hit the back of the now half man, half beast's neck. So he either made him angrier or just helped him snap... Nice going, Kasper. That really helps the situation. Seeing now that both of his comrades were getting very close to trapped, he sat back for a moment or two to think. He needed a strategy... He could just run with the crystal or destroy it. But that would mean putting his two friends in more danger. He had no daggers, but he did have his pocket knife... Close enough. He also had his shadow abilities to use. So how would he go about this? Kasper remembered seeing that Aly's sister had retracted her shadow to protect herself... So, with swift movements, Kasper tossed his pocket knife towards her, aiming for her chest. He emerged from his shadow and then ran towards Alissa, who was dodging the man's shadow. Kasper's shadow immediately lunged towards the other male's. A dual of shadows, if you will.

Pain...
Such a beautiful thing
Demetrius Donavan
Demetrius chuckled "what you don't want to play anymore?" The last dagger he pulled out; the one in his back, he licked his blood off it with a sadistic grin "I bet yours tastes great seeing as you share Anne-Drew's blood" his grin grew revealing his canine teeth "careful their sharp."
He was about to attack when Anne-Drew's thoughts stopped him he let out another dreadful snarl as they helped start to tame the best within his glowing crimson eyes of this dulled slightly and his grin shrunk "dance..promise...hungry..revenge.." his voice became colder and his grin grew again as his eyes lit back up, more would have to be done if there was hope for him at this stage.
He smelt her sister's fear and let out a blood curdling laugh, she was of no treat now oh but the feminine man had to go. Just as he turned around to him he was just able to clash his shadow with his but the problem being his shadow held his enemy still not fought at least not yet for he relied on his heightened senses and immense strength. "Blood" he panted and just as he was about to throw his dagger back at him he saw the pocket knife "ba****ed"and instead threw the dagger at the pocket knife to intercept it and charged; teeth bared at the feminine man, he was finally going to eat.
Isabelle screeched in fear as the shadow wrapped around her but the shadow wasn't doing her harm and then she relaxed as the blond boy dropped her dagger right by her now is my chance, I shunt be a burden anymore she threw the dagger at Aly's sister and reformed her muscles preparing for her chance to escape from the shadow's clutches.
OOC: Lol let's team up on my characters razz thanks guys jk.
Aly shook her head. No she didn't want to play. Why did she even agree to come down to the basement in the first place. "You're ******** up!" She screamed out while trying not to get entangled in his shadow. Aly preferred her blood to be in her veins.
Anne knew there was not much more she could do to keep him from slipping into beast mode. But she'd try. He could still hear her so she knew he had not completely lost himself. Sadly there was no telling how long it would be until he did. "Yes Demetrius you promised to save me a dance. You wouldn't break that promise would you? I know you are a man of your word. That's one of the things I admire most about you. I know you're hungry and want revenge. I understand. But you have to keep a level head...No, no blood. Demetrius you'll spoil your appetite. Demetrius!" Anne told him but he'd already made up his mind. In a way she felt sorry for the Hatter. But that feeling quickly disappeared when she felt stinging rise from the back of her neck. All her constant moving had reopened her wound. She could only hope Demetrius could still tell the difference between her and Aly. They both were bleeding now and Anne knew Demetrius was ready to spill some blood. She was forced to release the girl so she could further defend herself. As she backed away from Isabelle she was oblivious of her sister closing in from behind. Aly quickly pinned Anne and now was using her as a human shield. Would he still go for Kasper even when her sister was at her mercy? What of the cocky blond or the boy in the hoodie? Would they still attack her?
The ball of light was a bit off, and missed the Hat-man by a few inches. Valentine had completely forgotten about being exhausted, and as a result, the arm he shot it from was now stinging a bit. He ignored the pain, it could be a lot worse. He threw a dagger in a random direction, somewhat out of frustration but also hoping to scare somebody a bit, and then looked around. Who looked like they were ready to get hit in the face?
Demetrius seemed to be giving in to his vampiric senses. Well, as long as he could control them for a bit and not attack the clan, they'd be fine. But it seemed like Anne was trying to convince him to stay sane, which would also be good. "Welcome..." He mumbled, responding to Dakota's thanks. Valentine noticed that the blond had pulled the dagger out of his hand... and it was replaced with a hole. How pleasant. He turned back to the others and got the pleasant surprise of the Blackmon sister holding Anne like a shield.
He threw a ball of light to their left, and the dagger to their right. It wouldn't be smart to attack with Anne in the way, but maybe trying to scare her a bit would be good. "Oh? Using your sister as a shield? Well, I guess older sister's are supposed to be protective. I don't think that's what people usually mean though." He said, staring at her for a moment. Val looked to both sides of him to make sure Mister Hatter and that other girl weren't attacking, then looked at her and threw another dagger, this one landing above them. "Your move." He said. He didn't want to get too close to them, for fear of Anne getting hurt. Again. Speaking of which, there was fresh blood on her shoulders... her wound must have reopened. This wasn't the best of situations for the clan members.
OOC: Feel free to start attacking Val at any time, XD

Lol, sorry. I was like "who is nobody fighting yet" and Isabella was open so. And then suddenly everyone went after her and then they teamed against Demetrius, XD.
Kasper scoffed as he saw the beast of a man toss a dagger at his pocket knife. It was clear that he had lost his humanity in every way possible. He smirked as he saw him bare his teeth at him and charged at him. "My, my... For someone who had said that he would never stoop to such a level of insanity, you seem to have lost it." He chuckled, retreating into his shadow before the beast could reach him. Well now what? Now he had caught the attention of a man whose bloodlust had taken full control of him. ... Perhaps two could play at that game. Kasper might as well just cut his sanity lose. It always took him awhile to lose his sanity though since he always tried so hard not to go nuts. So maybe that plan was a no-go. Instead, Kasper picked up a bloody dagger on the ground and stuck to his old stratefy: throwing daggers from the shadows. He aimed for the man's shoulder this time. Hopefully he could avoid getting the life sucked from him... Then again, Keepers did just reincarnate so maybe facing death would not be his permanent end.
To put it all in a nutshell, Dakota's hand hurt like s**t now. He could see the disgust on Val's face from what he'd done. Well he couldn't blame him really. He was pretty disgusted by it too. He saw that Val had the Blackmon sister covered. Right, so that left the other girl to him... Good. He had a bone to pick with her, anyway. With his healthy hand, he shot a ball of light at her. "So, tell me... How would you rather be killed? By dagger? Suffocation?" He asked with a sadistic grin. He this was going to be fun... Very fun indeed.
Kasper crept away from the beast in his shadow. and came up behind Aly to whisper to her. "Aly, if you can shake the boy in the hood, I'm going to need your help to destroy the shard. I believe it may be our only solution to this. Do you think you can do so telekinetically or do you not have enough energy?" He asked her. Destroying it seemed to be their only way out of this... And though it might make the Mistresses mad, it would solve plenty of problems as well as get rid of these pests.
•Where am I?: Basement ••With whom?: Alissa, Isabelle, and others •••Out.Of.Cards.: Typing with one hand is so hard... gonk And apparently my writing is still intact when I'm high as balls on pain killers.... Or not. Who knows. After all, you're talking to the person who was saying "blub blub blub blub" all the way home from getting my wisdom teeth removed. xD

Such a beautiful thing
Demetrius Donavan
Demetrius glowered at Kasper "Not there yet"He looked back at Anne...no it was her sister for she didn't carry his sent and shot her an 'oh really smile' "shouldn't be so harsh to your future family" in teetering beast mode he had no stopper on his own thoughts as the blade hit his shoulder he just pulled it out and smiled for it only made him want the feminine man's blood more, he would need more direct hits in order to any serious damage now.
He couldn't figure out where the daggers where coming from for shadows weren't part of his animal instincts, his own shadow powers were forgotten about so he decided to lung at the next easiest meal.. Valentine. Just as he reached him Anne-Drew's voice echoed in his head and he halted holding onto it promised..admire....no blood" his beast receded again but this time only for a minute "forgive me" he went back to bloodlust and used his speed to get behind Kasper and lung at his neck again but at this speed if he didn't get Kasper surly he'd get Anne-Drew's sister.
Isabelle up and backed away from everyone when the shadow released her from he imprisonment but now she had no weapon and the blonde boy sought revenge, she fell back when the light ball hit her but she amused him, she could use the holes in her body to her advantage to stop the dagger "if I am to dye let it be curt by the cut of your blade."
OOC: It's all good. I like the challenge btw curt means rudely brief.
Aly's eyes flickered to and fro as she pulled Anne along as she dodged Val's attack. So far so good. Though she was really starting to shake again she was still upright and had a firm grip on Anne. As long as she had her human shield she'd be fine. Or so she thought.
"R-Related to him? Please let it just be a lie." Aly thought then Kasper's words cut through her fear. If it would stop the attack she'd be happy to oblige. She nodded in response to him signaling she could do it, but then she saw the crazed look in the man who was consumed with bloodlust. Aly simply froze in absolute fear of him. Her sister fell for him? She could crush the shard, but her head wasn't in the right place.
Unlike Aly, Anne wasn't frozen in fear. She was just trying to coax Demetrius back in his right mind. "There's no need to ask for forgiveness. I know you are fighting. But you must fight harder. Dig even deeper. Come on. Where's the Demetrius I know? He's in there somewhere. Remember your training. Come on. Yes Val is not a foe. Yes the hatter. Please I've never needed you to keep your word more than right now...Crap." Anne trailed off as she realized how close he was to her. Knowing Aly would try and push him back with her telekinesis she began struggling against her trying to distract her from the task at hand.
