It was official. Between getting thrown off, slipping in feces, nearly being bitten and now looking like an idiot just kicking an unresponsive horse, Lenore had gained a disdain for the equine monstrosities.

Seriously, forget horses.

Then, Lenore had an idea. A terrible one, but an idea nonetheless. Pulling herself forward off the saddle, she grabbed the reins tighter with her left hand and reached her right hand out above and in front of the horse. The horse's attention snapped onto her hand, and its mouth tried to do the same. Finding itself out of range, the horse began to trot forward, trying to catch the twelve year old's hand that continued to stay just out of range. The girl guided the horse around the lap, careful not to allow her hand any closer to the hellbeast she was riding for fear of losing it.

Deciding to give it a try after all, Larisa turned Scout to ease out of the outer walkway, heading for the first jump of the hurdle course. The horse had been so good at listening to her so far that she was sure they could do this too, no problem, but obviously she'd gotten too overconfident. As they neared the jump, Scout balked, moving back and away. "Eh? W-wait, what's wrong? You were supposed to jump!" Scout just kept backing away, though, and then turned to run off towards the other horses instead.

Larisa stared down at the horse in pure confusion. There was a limit to how sociable her horse should be while she was riding it!

"Let's go!" Deciding to make a second lap, Jeong-jae nudged his horse into starting up again. He tried to pay more attention to the standard controls so he could practice for the hurdle course. It was probably beyond what someone of his talent level could do but let it never be said Jeong backed down from a challenge! He trotted Toby around the edge of the field to try and lap Hwan for bragging rights.

"Need a ride?" Teasing the other boy, Jeong-jae stopped his horse beside Vivi until she was ready to go. Then he completed his second lap alongside Hwan while taunting him about how hard the floor was going to be that night.

While Farvardin had gotten Libby under control and taken a firm hand with her, she felt that she was pushing her luck with the horse. She directed her back to the rest of the horses and saw a few others were available. She hopped off and handed the reins to someone else. "Watch out for her!" She called as the horse glared at the new rider.

She then looked at the other horses trying to decide which one she should choose. She noticed a friendly looking one who was staring at her intently. She walked up to her and was told her name was Scout and that she's really social. "We'll see about that." Farvardin muttered under her breath.

Scout snorted at her when Farvardin approached but made no malicious moves against her. She stood still as Farvardin mounted and then took the lead to the track. She had seen the hellish ride the girl had before on Liberty and was going to show her how a real horse behaves.

"Gonna try the hurdles next." The twins finished the basic lap with ease now that they'd semi figured out how to move the horse. It was a bad idea to move on so quickly to the next step but they were impatient, wanting to do the cool stuff the more advanced riders were trying. Plus making a horse jump would be a necessary skill once they went out with the scouting legion and had their lives on the line. He still wasn't looking forward to combat with the titans but was here to make sure his brother lived. And maybe once they were out there and saw the rest of the world this would all be worth it.

"Hey, so uh... could you show us how to jump again?" Steering his horse over to Ervette the boy asked for further instruction once he realized he didn't know what signal prompted the beasts to leap. Toby brightened at seeing the woman and began to speed up a bit but Jeong-jae managed to keep the reins in his hands and under control, stopping neatly at a respectful distance from the instructor.

Ervette perked her head up, the first out of the bunch to flag her down. She gave the taller male a curious look, before stepping her own horse forward and gently taking Tobi's bridle and patting the horse who had greeted her with excitement. "Sure thing. Jeong-jae?" She squinted at the twin who had spoken to her, having to furrow her brows deciding she was half certain she was right.

"Right then. Timing and patience is the key. Jumps should always be built at a distance which works with the horse's stride." She was already mounted on a horse, giving a little click and applying pressure with her thighs the woman urged her mare forward taking off into the center ring. "Now, this is what you don't do." She demonstrated keeping herself seated in her saddle, without lifting off the horse noting as it clumsily knocked over a hurdle.

"When you press your weight into the stirrups, you will want to lift yourself off the horse and lean forward with the motion." She looked sheepish, even if she's blundered intentionally.
