Now the pale morning sings of forgotten things... She plays a tune for those who wish to overlook- The fact that they've been blindly deceived; By those who preach and pray and teach! But she falls short and the night explodes in laughter; But don't you come here and say I didn't warn you... About the way your world can alter. Vio saw Nike Lovette approaching before she came right up to her, and assumed it was because she was sick of sitting alone; she seemed to be the only Lovette in attendance, and had probably been forced to go due to Cy being a groomsman. The fourth year was dressed in a sophisticated, older fashion, if the dress was very old fashioned, even for a pureblooded wedding, and while she didn't seem nervous or intimidated by her surroundings, she did seem wary. Which was good. Vio would have advised wariness for anyone dealing with her cousin. "It's alright with me," she said mildly. "Violante Lillantine. Lovely to meet you, Nike." Cy had not yet seemed to notice his fiancee's absence, which was probably for the best. And oh, how you try to command it all still... Every single time it all shifts one way or the other. And I'm a goddamn coward, but then again, so are you. And the lion's roar, the lion's roar- Has me evading and hollering for you. And I never really knew what to do; For now I can only guess what's coming next.

Location: Avery Manor Grounds - Wendy's Wedding Mira was happy that it hadn’t been as bad as Timothy had thought it would’ve been. Then again it was surprisingly not as bad as she thought it would be either. “Glad to hear it.” She said with a smile as they’re figures intertwined. “I love you.” She told him as she gave him a kiss on the cheek. Mira rested her head on her boyfriend’s shoulder as she looked out at the water. A beach wedding was certainly a romantic setting what with the sun shimmering on the water and the sounds the shore made. She loved it. She loved it more because Timothy was there with her. Part of her wanted to say that if she were to get married, a beach setting seemed kind of nice. Of course to admit that would be to admit that marriage was on her mind. She was not her sister, she certainly wasn’t Wendy, and she definitely wasn’t in a rush.
Despite not seeing Timothy as much as she wanted, Mira was otherwise happy. They still had their date nights and she couldn’t pass up flowers. Sure her boyfriend lived with Benjamin but kick him out of the flat for a few hours and it was all good. Though she’d be lying if she said she didn’t mind seeing Benjamin from time to time. Preferable not on date night thought. Status: Happy With: Wedding guests... Timothy Wearing: Seafoam Dress OOC: A new familiar! Mira can't wait!

Nike, as it turned out, did not take long to get to her point. Vio was slightly taken aback by her bluntness; she wouldn't have expected it from a little Slytherin princess, but then again, the girl didn't seem to have the complex a lot of young Slytherins did, which mainly involved a lot of posturing. Still, her question was a loaded one. She might be genuinely curious, already have suspicions- Vio had no idea how the boy behaved around her- or be fishing for information for her parents. Either way, it didn't matter all that much; Vio would be thrilled to hear she'd ruined a betrothal, to be perfectly honest. "Cy has two faces," she said moderately. "Like most people. But you'll rarely see one of them, unless he wants you to. He's deliberate. I would be on the lookout for that if I were you. If he does something that seems... not like him, he's probably doing it for a reason." Yes, she could have just said 'he's insane', but there was no point in terrifying a fourteen year old girl if it ended up being unnecessary. And oh, how you try to command it all still... Every single time it all shifts one way or the other. And I'm a goddamn coward, but then again, so are you. And the lion's roar, the lion's roar- Has me evading and hollering for you. Come here in the duality of time- The things I feel now I never thought I'd find. I wonder if our future was written in our past... I was your first taste, would you be my last? My world split in two; I had to prove I didn't think- I didn't know I could do it without you. ᵉ ᵛ ᵃ ᶰ ᵈ ᵉ ʳ ᵗ ʳ ᶤ ˢ ᵗ ᵃ ᶰ ˡ ᶤ ˡ ˡ ᵃ ᶰ ᵗ ᶤ ᶰ ᵉ ᶠᵒʳᵐᵉʳ ˢˡʸᵗʰᵉʳᶤᶰ │ ᵖᵘʳᵉᵇˡᵒᵒᵈ ʰᵉᶤʳ │ ᶰᵉʷˡʸʷᵉᵈ
Vander stiffened slightly at the mention of his father, and carefully avoided looking for the man in the midst of the crowd. He could have reflected on the fact that he was eighteen, an adult, supposedly a man now, and he still couldn't bring himself to directly contradict Callius Lillantine, but he preferred not to. How his father acted didn't influence him, not anymore. It'd been obvious a long time ago that they weren't as similar as either of them might have hoped. "My father doesn't do a lot of things," he said dismissively, "And she hates him more every year for it." Vander could despise his mother and still recognize that his parents's relationship was in general a s**t show that was a combined effort between the two of them. They might still hold some withered remnants of genuine affection for one another, but he didn't doubt either would drop the other if they saw greener grass on the other side of the fence. He snickered at her wording it as a 'non-traditional hobby', but quieted at the mention of children. Wendy hadn't made it a secret that she wanted him, even if that technically didn't matter, as they'd be expected to have children, and a lot of them, regardless of whether or not they wanted them. Honestly Vander wasn't sure he'd prove capable of parenting even one child, never mind several. He didn't even like children. He assumed he'd like his own, especially if they took after their mother, but it wasn't as if he had any shining examples of parenting to look up to. His father had fathered him, sure, but Vander wasn't so sure he was all that much better for it. "Cursebreaking," he said simply in response to her half teasing, half serious question. "Don't breathe a word about it my parents- I don't want them to know until I'm actually making money." You could hardly complain about gold. Envision me on the frame... Lost in the rules we made to our own game. I crawl myself through black holes- To wind up at your door; more than eyes to find. Didn't believe it wasn't worth the fall... No trace of where; now fully realized this fear.
