"The reason I was planning on you staying behind," Darian explains, "Was because you can't fight and it would be safer for you if you stayed behind. Jay would probably kill me if I let anything happen to you."

The bluejay glances at Darian before nodding his head in answer. He knows that he would not like it if anything happened to Kitara, especially when carrying their child. He whistles something to her and she lowers her eyes.
"I know, Jay. I wouldn't want to cause you any pain just because I want to be with you, especially when it means that I may get hurt," she says quietly to him in bluejay as she once again lays her left hand on her stomach, "I have to tell Uncle and Aunt Moonleaf so I can get their thoughts on it."
She raises her eyes again and extends a hand to her cousin, "Here, let me help you up. We're off to your parents' house. After supper, I'll tell them the news and ask them for their thoughts, as well as for a blessing on Jay and me."

"Thank you," Darian says, lifting himself up. He did not like the idea of Kitara coming on this journey. Had she been able to fight he would not be so nervous but he did not want to see his cousin get hurt because she was defenceless. "Well, let's go."

As they walk, the blue-eyed elf thinks to herself, noticing her cousin's mood. A silence is between them, one she cannot bear much longer.
She sighs, "If it would make both of you guys feel better, I'll stay at home."
After averting her eyes from both of them, she mutters quietly to herself, "It sucks to be expecting. Can't go out with the guys and travel like I want to...."

Jay nods before whistling something to Kitara. She nods, staying quiet for a while, before shrugging.
"Oh, what's your mom going to say when I arrive home with two surprises? First, guiding her only son home then telling her I'm pregnant," she chuckles, "As long as she still loves me, I'll be fine with anything she says."

"Not to mention me surprise of having found someone I love." Darian remind his cousin. "With all these surprises I hope my mom doesn't have a heart condition that I don't know about."

She laughs, "Yeh, but I think you should be more worried about your father than your mother having heart troubles, knowing how healthy she is all the time. However.... Maybe your mother would be more likely to faint from the happy news."

"Yeah," Darian says thoughtfully, "All that travelling sure was tough on my father's health. That's why I'm going to get a house as soon as possible after going back to the town Margem works in. Well, that and because I can't ask her to marry me if we don't have a place to live now can I?"

His cousin shakes her head, "No, you could if you wanted to. She'd understand either way, from what you tell me."
She blushes, "That's what Jay did, but he lost the ring beforehand. So, technically, we are engaged and we have been travelling though we are thus. However, we always have the home next to your parents that we bought from them since it was their property beforehand. There are others nearby too, if you wanted to stay near us and your parents."
After a bit, Jay chirps up in English, "True true."

"My future cousin in law speaks," Darian says, laughing, "But anyways, you have always had somewhere to stay. Neither Margem nor I has a house that I know of. I think she may be staying with friends, either that or at the resort she works at."

Kitara smiles, "He's working on it. That's one word he knows how to say of about fifty words."
She shrugs, "Maybe she's at the resort. I mean, resorts and hotels and places like that usually let their employees stay there. It sounds reasonable to me.
"But, your parents still have about two other small houses that they own. Maybe they'd let you have one, since you are their only child."

"They might," Darian replies, "Of course either way I'll have to go see her in order to propose. That and I just want to see her again. I'll do that as soon as I can after Jay and I get back."
