Ethelfleade: Ethelfleade's world was full of pain...and she couldn't even discern where from! It hurt to just move, so Fleade simply stayed where she had been...until she almost made someone trip. That person seemed concerned at least, and got her on her feet and was taking her towards camp when the other yelled out to someone else. That voice...sounded familiar. Ethelfleade forced herself to be more aware of what was going on, and made herself put one foot in front of the other and tried to keep up with the one who had helped her. She was conscious enough to look around now, at least, and noticed it was one of the people she and that one Alkidike had found and talked to momentarily. "You...you're Aminah...right? Thank you for helping me..." She tried to take as much weight off Aminah as she could and tried to walk on her own, which proved futile and she still had to have Aminah's help, but not has much as before.

Natsu post 15Natsu paused at Finnley's open question, and turned to her rather sharply. He meant no aggression in this action, but his face was far from soft at this point in the game. "We may have fallen behind, but we're far from through, Finnley." He said. "Don't lose hope now." Viveka post 15Viveka shot Natsu a glance, as if to say to keep his tone down, and heaved a heavy sigh. Positive... Stay positive... Just stay positive... "We... We don't have time to look for Rastian and the others... Do we?" He muttered, biting his lip.

(Rastian's bad arm is crushed and he looks like a bloody mess. Love really does help people overcome all obstacles. |3) Rastian post 11The last thing the Monk could remember was Yaholo's muffled voice spouting curse words as he flagged down a runner to pick his fallen friend off the ground, and fighting the urge to join in on the foul mouth train. Thankfully the runner hadn't far to run with the flopping sandbag that was Rastian upon his shoulders and he was safely handed off to someone for the remainder of the journey to Neued. All the while as he was being carted around Rastian remained as conscious as possible and gradually regained focus upon his surroundings. Finally, after what seemed like forever, he was able to stand up and lumber around on his own, despite constant pleas from the person who had been carrying him before. "Oh, do keep quiet." He grumbled, waving the woman off with his good arm. He moved towards the remaining tents and shuffled inside, his eyes growing wide. "Senja!" He cried, waving his good arm. "I'm back, more or less, do you need any help?"

Tahigwa post 11As soon as Tahigwa heard the word "retreat", she was making her way back to the campgrounds like a bat out of hell. She didn't care if she looked like an idiot, stumbling over things in a frenzy, but when she wanted out, she wanted OUT. "ILYRA!" She screamed, once she found the camp again. "EVERYONE'S MOVING AND I... I NEED YOU!"

(Quoting all of you because your characters are there, too. XD) Ogbonna post 11"Excuse me! EXCUSE ME!" Ogbonna shrieked as he tried to squeeze his way through the crowds. He was so short compared to most of the fighters returning that no one knew he was there, and it was the most frustrating feeling ever. He finally found a space large enough for him to pop through and barreled is way into the camp. Where was Nua? Where was his buddy? Did he survive the attack? Was he okay? The guard fussed with his gauntlets and tapped his feet together, before deciding it was best to race through the remaining open tents to see if Nua was still being tended to. Tent one, no one, tent two, supplies, tent three... "NUA! OH MY GOSH NUA!" Oggie cried, nudging past Uquin, Mella, and the others in order to reach Nua's hand. "I was so worried about you! Where does it hurt the most? Let me make it better!" And then he paused to give a grim, intimidating look to the others. "Why isn't he better yet?" He grumbled, clenching his fists. "Have any of you actually tried to heal him?! HOW HARD COULD IT BE?!"

Yes yes, everybody was lost without Peyla! Peyla was a good sprite! She put on an official and important air, leading Pahana much like she led her Alkidike to... Actually, where was she going? She pretended she knew, but she had lost track of her Alkidike completely... Oops.Dyakida could feel the chaos, and knew she would be left behind if she tarried. But, she also knew she was forgotten in the chaos and... well.. Virtually useless. "Peyla?" she called. If they were retreating, she wanted her guide. Being left behind was NOT an option. Peyla heard her name! She chimed, waving with a free hand, despite knowing full well that her Alkidike would never be able to percieve it. She chimed again, leading Pahana to her Alkidike with renewed fervor. Yes! Yes! This way!Dyakida had no words to describe her relief when she heard her sprite's chime. Thank Aisha. She was all right. She clutched her cloak around her and took up her staff. "Come here, Peyla. We need to go to Neued..." through the vibrations of the movement everywhere, she was not able to detect anything but what she heard. Peyla didn't know where Neued was, but she'd take Dyakida to where all the people were going! She chimed again, tugging Pahana towards Dyakida. Her Alkidike was there, there, and she'd been DOUBLE good by taking Pahana to her AND coming to find her. Triple good because she'd gotten Pahana yummies.
She preened, crooning. She was a very good sprite. Very good. She tugged Pahana until they were within touching distance before she released Pahana's hand and alighted on her Alkidike's shoulder, chiming again. See? Good sprite.

( Note: Pahana has reached 2 versatile points as of this post) Pahana post 14Pahana allowed herself to be tugged through the crowds by Peyla and smiled as Dyakida came into view. Oh, it was the girl that Kaalnia had introduced to her earlier, right before things went crazy! She sighed, fussed with her hair, and placed her hand on Dyakida's shoulder. "Hey, s-sorry about earlier..." She said, chuckling awkwardly. "I saw... So many things I wasn't prepared for, and..." She paused, moving around to stand at Dyakida's side. "Your sprite is wonderful, she lead me back all this way." Pahana's eyes studied the Alkidike at her side, a light blush on her cheeks. Why did all Alkidikes have to be so beautiful? It made her wonder just how gorgeous their Mother was, the one that Yaholo always chattered on about that lived across the water from Andile's shore. "Her eyes are white... How different..." She thought, before leaning backwards. Oh, she had been staring straight at her! The leaf girl chuckled and wrapped her arm around Dyakida's side in a quick hug. "Sorry if I'm crowding you! I'm just a little woozy from all of this."

Uquin - Post 13Retreat. It wasn't just moving back, it was a full on retreat. Dread pooled in Uquin's belly, and as he fully stood and moved to the mouth of the tent with Nua on his back, he also felt like crawling into a hole and crying. Blood and gore he seemed able to handle, as long as he didn't recognize the faces he treated - but the prospect of losing the war chilled him to the bone. He was startled out of his close spiral to panic by a man... boy? A young looking man clothed like a guard came bursting into the tent, right as they were making their way to leave it.
With Nuawahn being carried on his back, when the mystery person grabbed for his hand Uquin wavered a bit, adjusting his grip on the wind boy's legs so he could keep him upright. But it was a relief that someone who was looking for Nuawahn had found him - Uquin didn't want to think about what would have happened if they had moved on, and the poor man had not known where his friend was.
Of course - the moment he turned around and started chewing them out, Uquin felt a flash of annoyance, his features sharpening briefly. It took everything in him not to just snap at the man, but he fought to keep it professional - it was NATURAL that this guy was concerned. "Right now his biggest concern is his concussion, and that has to heal naturally. So many things can go wrong if a spell was used on the brain." He adjusted Nuawahn again, then took a step past Ogbonna, out of the tent to stand in the grass.
Throughout all this Uquin had only been out of the tent once, but now -- now the camp was a wreck. He saw, for the first time, the pile of bodies in the clearing - the panic of everyone trying to retreat. He was frozen for a split second, wide-eyed, then shook himself and turned back to Ogbonna and Mella again. "Right now we need to move. If you want to help Nuawahn, get those bandages, dunk them in water and tie them around his head, but I'm moving on - now."

Gaddok brought up the rear off the field. He was uninjured, but a few scrapes and bruises, the least he could do is hold off any following Oba so others could make it back to camp. Everything happened so fast, he didn’t have much time to process, his body moved purely on instinct. Keeping his head down, his arms straight to his side, Gaddok drug himself into the hectic bustle of camp. They were packing up and moving farther into Jauhar, he assumed.
Catching a glimpse of his war worn body in the reflection of a puddle he closed his eyes in disgust. Blood smeared across his face, speckled his clothing, and coated his hair… Yet somehow he remained unharmed. He watched the injured lean on one another as they followed the crowd. His gut churned as he couldn’t help but feel a hint of guilt. Had he not done enough? Could he have done more? The thoughts bombarded his already fraying mind.
No time to focus on what could have been done. Pushing himself forward, Gaddok looked over the crowd and caught the glimpse of a familiar sight, “Sathe…” He breathed. It was good to see she was alright. Sheathing his sword he tried to wipe some of the dried blood from his face, and then sprinted on the outside of the crowd to catch up. Only losing sight of her once, Gaddok came up behind them and noticed a mage he had seen on the battlefield dragging along an injured Ice girl.
He came up between Sathe and what appeared to be a sibling, “Would you like some help with her?” Gaddok phrased his statement as a question, but there was a hint of demand in his voice. He hoisted the Ice girl into his arms and cradled her, “I’m sorry if this hurts you, but do your best to relax. I’ve got you.”
His eyes met Sathe’s briefly, and gave a soft smile, “It’s good to see you’re safe.” His words were sincere, though he doubted it showed. Gaddok was mentally and physically exhausted, but there was no way he would let it show. He was far better off than most and would do anything asked of him to assist in any way.
Turning to look at the mage he forced a chuckle, “I didn’t mean to be rude earlier, but you looked like you could use the help.” Gaddok knew there would be time to exchange pleasantries when they got to wherever they were going… “Where exactly are we going?”

Suhuba In case anyone wants to poke at Yaho because of his glaring a pet dino Yaho scooped Ikuri up! XD Yaholo post 11Yaholo abhorred the fact that they were retreating when there were hostages being taken left and right. He held back a snarl towards Yansa and the other elders, opting for a damning stare of disapproval in their direction each time they passed him while they ran. He couldn't give two bits if they were being overpowered, they were abandoning their people to the clutches of the Obans, and it was an incredible dishonor to the efforts that they had made. He kept to the side as they reentered camp, his eyes still filled with distaste and unrest, and wandered to where he had last seen his boys. The Massif, bruised and splattered with blood, sheathed his hammer and knelt down beside the group of children before him, cracking the best smile he could manage. "Alright, kids, we've gotta split for safer ground." He said, scooping Samoset, Kennet, and Ikuri up in one swift motion, before facing Aysun and Chandra. "Oh, are you two-" He paused, blinking down at Ikuri, laughing. "Three! My goodness, I'm sorry honey! I didn't notice that my boys were holding onto you!" He patted her on the head and sighed. "I haven't been this scattered in years..." Samoset post 15"DADDY!" Samoset cried, practically digging his hands into his father's dreads. "What was it like out there? Did'ya get hurt?" As his father paused to comment on Ikuri's presence, he turned his attention to Aysun and Chandra, and pried one of his hands free to wave them over. "Our daddy can take you to the safer place, too!" He exclaimed. "We can hang out more when we get there!" Kennet post 15Kennet pressed his face against Yaholo's shoulder, tears welling up in his eyes. Finally, his father was back, safe and sound! Tiny hands grasped Yaholo's ponytail and lingered, before grasping tightly at Samoset's suggestion. "NO!" He screamed, before relaxing again. "They have parents that will look for them and get worried, they should wait for them!" Then he turned to Ikuri and gave her a soft smile. "But... You can come with us." He said. "We'll find your sister first!"

Scarlett Arbuckle HEALING IS GLAMOROUS UQUIN [Nuawahn] "I'm Nuawahn." Nuawahn affirmed, feeling very certain about this. Everything else was strange but he knew who he was. It was silly to not know who he was! haha.
"And I don't feel so good..." he blinked, but everything remained foggy and fuzzy. He didn't know why a wet rag was placed to his lips, but when the cool water touched his tongue with its sweet refreshingness, he realized he was very thirsty and his mouth tasted of bitter, evil things he didn't want to think about. He drank some of the water from the rag.
"Or mebbe I do.. I dunno..." he said, as the fog crystallized into sleepiness. His eyes lidded, closing slightly. He was sleep. So sleepy, and everything was so hard to think about. Everything was just hard. He felt himself being moved, feeling his head and stomach float about in concert with Uquin's movements. "Safer's good..." he said, resting against Uquin's shoulder and trying to remember the name he'd just been told.
He'd been sort of half asleep against Uquin's shoulder, drifting in the fog that wrapped around his mind, when a familiar voice roused him. His eyes opened and he tried to focus on the shape coming towards him, but something was wrong and it was still fuzzy, shimmering like a mirage on a hot day or like a reflection in a rippling, clear pool. "Oggie?" he murmured, trying to at least keep his eyes open long enough to recognize him, but exhaustion was his master now. He didn't know if he was happy or upset to see oggie, if that was him, and he didnt know why he couldn't be both anyway.
But he was loud. Nuawahn flinched. "Mmmph...." he groaned weakly into Uquin's shoulder, closing his eyes as the sounds bounced off his head. Everything was spinning again and the sounds made him feel sick. Really sick. Pressing his face into Uquin's shoulder made it feel slightly better, but... not really. He felt something rise inside him and, before he could quite comprehend what it was, it was out. All over Uquin. "Sorry..." he murmured, closing his eyes. He was so tired, but at least he didn't feel that kind of sick anymore, just woozy. "Mmmph." whatever he'd said was lost in his murmur as he drifted back into half-wakefulness, limp against Uquin's back. La'amu stood up to move, following Uquin out. She looked up at Ogbonna as he ran in, paused, and moved closer to him, giving him a gentle, but firm bite on his leg. She Murrred, leaning against Ogbonna in a rare show of appreciation. He was concerned for her boy, and she understood that and was grateful, but she also understood that shouting was bad right now. It would be okay. But he needed to be quiet.

[Ikkio] Ikkio gave Rastian a slightly poisonous look as he approached the shifter woman next to her SHE was helping. HOW DARE HE HORN IN ON HER JOB. She looked him up and down. At least he was interesting!
He looked like when Loxy stepped in Zuzu's poop that one time. Not the Mammu's expression, which had been funny, but the poop. Smushed. Gross. Icky. She stuck her tongue out when he wasn't looking. Uggggly. Covered in blood and his arm was all weird. Weird weird weird.
She finished wiping the wound, glowering at it before turning to Rastian with her most angelic mother-manipulating expression, her yellow eyes wide and innocent, but full of calculating coolness. "I'm helping!" she said sweetly. She offered up the bloody rag as proof.
Zumurundi paced nearby, uneasy, and she gave him a look. He was supposed to be a good boy and sit and wait! He sat.
But, she did notice that people were moving. She had heard the announcement, but didn't quote understand it. "Where's everybody going?" she asked. She hadn't understood because it was inconceivable that her mother could lose anything. She was useful that way. Her mother was in this battle, so clearly they had won, so... why were they leaving? Why did people seem upset?

[Dyakida and Peyla] "Thats fine." said Dyakida quietly, "I understand." for very different reasons, of course. She didn't have to see the world around her to know it was going to hell. The vibrations of panic and fear in the air told her that, along with the smells of death and blood and other raw, unnamable things. It felt like loss. It felt like failure. She was very familiar with that feeling, and she understood. "She is a very good sprite..." she said, reaching to touch Peyla. Peyla crooned. Yes yes! She was good. She hovered by Dyakida, chiming. She was ready to guide! She was a good guide.Dyakida felt the arm curl around her, and, through it, could feel the unsteadiness in the other girl. She shifted her staff, making room to use her own arms to help support the girl. "I think most are a bit... hmm... out of it. Let us not get too far behind. I'll help you if you help me..." she said, smiling gently as she solidified her hold on Pahana, "Lean on me." she said, "My sprite will lead the way." Yes yes Peyla would guide them! Peyla was a good sprite, better than Amadi. DOUBLE better because she was guiding two people! HAHA. SHE WAS THE BETTER SPRITE. She chimed. she couldn't get to Dyakida's hand, which was a problem. She could tug her Alkidike's hair, but Dyakida's hair was not very long, so it wasn't very useful. Peyla shook herself out, not unlike a dog. That was fine! A bit difficult, but no match for her spritely wits! She'd just make sure Dyakida and pretty were going the right way. She'd chime a lot, check back a lot, and give them little tugs and pushes. And then she'd nap when they got there. Not now. Now she was awake and had a job to do. She chimed again, beginning the task of leading them forward, along with the mass exodus.
This way!

[Kaalnia] One step after the other, after the other, after the other got her there all right. She set down her burden in a safe place in Neued and looked back to where, far away, the battle had taken place. Now that she was here, she realized that she very likely couldn't go back to try and bring back others. The thought rattled her a bit. There were so many back there, and she could do nothing but hope someone else, someone who'd actually thought to take more people, had gotten those who had been missed. She sat on a fencepost and waited, hoping that, in the stream of soldiers filing back, she would see her sister...((Lash is out cold so do with him as you see fit.)) [Ruelash] Ruelash was dimly aware that he had been moved, handled, and was lying down. He even had a dim knowledge that he was being observed, and that there were voices about. Other than that, though, he was out, not likely to wake up for a while. If he was concious, he would have leapt right back into battle, so it was probably a very good thing that he wasn't...

Sauron was still on fire from the war even though his muscles informed him that they could use a bit of a rest, he was so hopped up on adrenaline that he wasn't really in touch with them yet. He stomped over to Kelina's bed once he demanded to know where she was he then strode over to her bedside and sat in a fluid drop. He took her hand. "I leave you alone for twenty minutes with a madly enraged animal and look what happens, you are lucky you are not a beast charmer." He smiled and kissed her lips gently. Then he snuggled his head into her neck, hiding his eyes, though he knew she could feel the warm salty drops land on her perfect skin. "I am so glad you are okay, its because you had to rescue my sorry butt that you are hurt, I'm so sorry. I want you to know because of you, I never even got a scratch, I don't know what came over me, battle lust I expect and then Nibby flew over and I knew, knew you had been injured, I made sure you were carried off to safety before I went back. We didn't win, only a few of us made it out without well...bandages and bedspace." He raised his head and looked over her wounds. He shook his head. "Were you with the archers when this happened or were you making sure I got out okay? It doesn't matter you wasted energy saving me, I'm so sorry I could not protect you the way I should have, after you saved me."
