 Palian Only when you walk the line of nothingness... Do not speak such poison It will only cause rot Stop spreading lies Of what you know not
The words were a deep rumble in Tsukiko's mind. From where he knelt, Palian growled as he heard all of it. It seemed that his attempts to destroy the witch within her had failed after all. And just like before, the leech sought to destroy all that it could not manipulate.
"This is not the last we will speak of this," he countered coldly to the boy who looked amused as hell beneath him.
"No, I suppose not," was Nemo's reply, although he sounded entirely too at ease, which unsettled the demon. "Now go back to what I brought you here for. And . . . tell her I'm sorry for what I said," the dreamscaper added with an air of dismisal.
"No," Palian said, unused to this new sense of freedom and wondered just how far it went. "I will not apologize for you." Then he darted back across the room, heading straight to where Tsukiko currently retreated to. He saw the glint of silver as she tossed the locket halfhazardly. With no effort at all, he cought the charm as it bounced off one of the collumns. Following her in silence for a moment, he thought about the thoughts that were flitting through her mind.
"You really should take better care of your treasures," he murmured as he rolled the charm in his fingers. Taking a few of his more longer strides, he brought himself around to face her, cutting off her forwards progress.
"I've pulled myself from a realm of nothingness into the realm of physicality. Died. And done so all over again. For you." His eyes narrowed as he studied her face, lips tight in a serious frown. "And I would do it as many times as it was required of me."
"But what I really want to know, is why you wanted me back?" he posed quizzically as he dangled the necklace by its chain in front of her. "And how could you doubt me now, when I've gone to such lengths to come back?"
... Can you truly understand the difference between life and death. (KB NOOOO!!!!!!) ((Sorry guys, I wasn't going to post as Palian so soon, but Kiko is moving in a direction we don't want her to. KB how could you!?!!! lol Thank goodness with Palian I can be as straightforward or cold as I want, cause he's like that and everyone seems to respond to his "take no crap, or beating round the bush" attitude. XD)

 Ⓕxყxŧxε 風 Change the tears and pain into the stars, let's ignite a light to light up tomorrowIt wasn't until Nemo cupped her chin with his hand did she realize just how cold she was. Confused, she gave him a quizzical look, but still smiled gently. He was safe, and that's all that really mattered to her right now. Gently, she placed her hand over his, as if she couldn't get enough of his warmth. A breeze fluttered through the entrance, causing her to shiver. She was soaked, head to toe, and the excess water dripped from her hair onto whatever was underneath her. She flipped her hair over her shoulder, lest she drip it all onto Nemo. As she did so, he pulled away his hand, much to her disappointment. Still, some things never changed, as his face heated up due to them being surrounded by others who could see their displays of affection.
Another quizzical look crossed her face when he mentioned her getting hit. Fyte tried to think back, tried to remember just what he was talking about. Within a minute, it came back to her in a flash; the stalagmite, the boulders, worrying about Nemo before everything went blank. Eyes widening, she hand flew to the back of her head to where she was hit, only to find the tiniest of bumps on her head and pain that was like an old bruise. "Huh..." She murmured, flexing her hand as she stared at it. "I'm...alright, but why doesn't it hurt like it should?" Fyte looked back at Nemo, confusion written all over her face. She leaned on him then, resting her head lightly on his chest.
"Sorry for scaring you." She apologized softly. She had hoped to not make him so worried about her, at least not so soon after they'd made up. As Palian came over, she stayed where she was, not willing to pull away just yet. She half listened to their exchange, not wanting to butt in on anything. When Palian turned to leave, she mustered up the courage to ask a favor of the former demon. "Take care of her. Please. You're probably the only one she'll listen to now."
Watching him go after Tsukiko, she turned her attention back to Nemo. "He has a point, y'know. Apologies only carry half the sincerity if someone else does it for you." Fyte gently chided Nemo, but cuddled closer to him. As another breeze rolled through, she gave a small sneeze.
…Let the two of us put our small hands together, and let's search for stardust and a bright shining eternity 風

ẴxŁxəxşxšxấ ֆ In this great length of time that has no limit or end… A huge sigh of relief escaped her as he played with a lock of her hair and she couldn't help but smile down at him. "Really, that's the first thing you say after you've been hurt?" Alessa chuckled, smoothing down his hair. Her face hardened as Ace continued with his tale of events, worry and concern etched on her face. It didn't take much to figure out who was behind this incident, especially if it was something that affected Ace when he had stopped time. Only he could hurt Ace during that time, since there were no other time walkers on the island. Her expression darkened, as fury brewed inside of her. Her vision began to go red, and she couldn't help but clench her fist. She would make him pay a hundred times over.
His question snapped her back to reality, and she gave him an apologetic look for not paying attention. "Only a few minor scrapes and cuts as far as I know. I think by far, you've suffered the worst." Alessa answered, leaning over him as he used her lap as his pillow. She didn't really care that there were others watching, she was just so relieved that he was alright. …Even if the two of us get separated someday, I'll find you ֆ

Ace couldn't move to well and could feel the wind start to make him shiver. Alessa was sheilding him pretty well, but he couldn't help but blush as she covered him with herself for the most part. It was like a warm, motherly kind of feeling. He didn't really know that feel anymore, but at the same time it was different as it was coming from her. He tried to think of something to say, but could not as it seemed like she was actually enjoying herself a bit.
He decided to start off after a few moments of silence by answering her question "Well, what did you expect me to say? Oh great Alessa, thank you for coming to heal me you benevolent leader of peace and justice and all I hold dear!" He says with a chuckle as he pokes her nose. "Hey mind helping me out of this water? It's kinda getting cold and I need to dry off. You said the others are alright and they seem to be having some romantic developement going on." He says with a grin looking at Nemo "I wouldn't wanna interrupt my buddy in his prime." He says struggling to force himself up and holding on to the violet haired girl. As he gets a little bit more legging he looks Alessa in the face "So... You aren't the real Alessa!" He says in surprise as he almost lets go.
It was hard to tell, but he could now tell as he had enough time of physical reaction with the girl to notice the difference in touch, smell, ect as creepy as that might sound if he had said it out loud. Wait, if you aren't the real Alessa then where is he says looking this one up and down as he holds on to her a little closer. "GAH! Let's go, it's cold, wet, and I am hurting." He says looking towards the area where they came from.

Ҭ s u ӄ i ӄ o ☾Forgive me for those words, I know they’re but a cliche to you❄ "Because our relationship isn't real Palian!" The words came out fast and much louder than she intended. "One minute you didn't exist, and then next thing I know...you did. I wasted so much time wondering when I'd see you again. Every time our pathways cross something happens. Nemo's almost died how many times now? You died last time, and you think I can just forgive myself for that?" She gripped her fists as she looked at him.
"You want to talk about a realm of nothingness? I'd gladly take it over the pain I've dealt with since that night. Those friends of mine over there, the other people that came to my supposed rescue...do you think they even looked at me after the fact? No one knew how to deal with me, they didn't even attempt to try until a few days ago." Her shoulders were shaking, but she didn't have tears to cry.
"I hate myself, I hate living. Did Nemo really thing five minutes of sweet words and hugs would change the past? I didn't think you were even that naive." As she screamed at him her hair began to change. The silver began reflecting color, and warmth began to shine in her eyes.
"You said I could only protect myself, an guess what? You were right, and I...I was dumb enough to think you knew what love was. You...the dream of a little boy, you the one person that is so much like me because you are so different. That's why I love you, you didn't give me false hope...I gave it to myself...Yet I'm cursed to be alone...why can't you all realize that. I can't bring myself to hate anyone...yet no one would just sit and listen to me talk...no one cared if I got better...tell me...why do they care now." She had her arms around herself as she tried to prevent the shaking in her shoulders.
"I wish everyday dad would have taken my powers. I could have gone on to live a normal life...and never worry about magic every again." With the her legs collapsed and she fell into the water. She was to weak to even absorbed the powers from the water. "I wanted you to love me back, I wanted proof of my own existence, but how can I ask the from someone who was trying to exist in the first place?"

 (you are making this so hard for me right now. XD I don't want them to fight, but it seems inevitable. That Tsukiko won't accept anything else. X.x I hope she's ready.) Palian Only when you walk the line of nothingness... Palian stood still with a look of contempt and disgust growing on his otherwise impassive countenance. He had to give it to her, she could spit venom like Nemo when she wanted to. Not as good, but good enough. Some of her hurtful words cut, in ways he felt both raw and unexpected. Slowly, he lowered his hand that held the necklace, squeezing the pendent until he felt a sharp pain as it pricked his skin. He didn't even take the time to revel in the feeling of pain, small as it was.
With a motion that was almost an afterthought, he slapped her across the face. It wasn't a forcefull blow, merely a means to get her to cease this senseless ranting that only served to work her into a manic depressive state. She was very good at talking herself into a corner where she thought everyone had free reign to beat her, which she felt she deserved.
" You are so pathetic," he growled coldly. It was only near the end, the last few days, that he started to pull a sense of self to the fore of Nemo's mind, looking in on what had been done in his absense. What he saw was displeasing, in many ways.
" You want proof of your existance? Validation? Here I am and I'll gladly tell you how I see it." Palian cocked his head to the side, all the better to lock eyes with her in case she thought she could not meet his gaze. He wanted her to know that the time for games had passed and this was him, at his most serious.
" What we shared was no illusion," he began in a softer voice. "It hurts, hard as that is for you to accept, for you to dismiss our relationship. And that you would give up on it, more cutting still."
Slowly, he straightened himself, black wings flaring slightly in response to the wind. It was tempting to take a moment to enjoy the sensation of simply being swayed by the breeze, but he kept himself focused on the more important things.
" Tsukiko you demand too much. You excpect understanding and yet you yourself refused to try to do the same. How could any of them know the depths of your pain, if you chose to hide it from them?" he pondered, shuddering as he felt the connections he'd made with those he'd met. So many hearts, clinging to fears and hopes. It sickened him.
"I thought you were selfish," he stated simply. " It was one of the things we had in common, always wanting more. Taking what wasn't ours, because it pleased us to do so." Then he snarled, his teeth all razer points as he turned his back to her in disgust.
"Why did you have to turn tail and start giving it all away, as if what you took could be returned?" he asked rhetorically. Looking back at her over his shoulder, he spat to the side as if the thought left a bad taste in his mouth. Her expression, it seemed, did not please him, for he spun around and grabbed her by the front of her shirt, lifting her into the air.
" If I could take away the weight that leadens your heart, I would. If I could stop these delusions of everyone despising and plotting against you, I would gladly do so.
"Tell me what to say, what words would you believe? What words haven't been said, in thought or action, what prayers have not reached you? How can you not see what has been happening around you and be blind to the plight that you are a part of? All the wallowing and self pity has deafened you to what is really happening. " Suddenly releasing his grip on her shirt, he looked down on her with a hint of sadness.
"About the only thing left is the one thing that I wish you to not ask of me," he growled, eyes glowing an electric azure. " I will release you from this mortal coil, if that is your earnest wish."
... Can you truly understand the difference between life and death. If today was your last day

Ҭ s u ӄ i ӄ o ☾Forgive me for those words, I know they’re but a cliche to you❄ "At least I'm alive..." she muttered to herself as her face stung. Not the first slap in her life, surly not the last. He could abuse her all he wanted, it wouldn't change things. "I kept my promise, or were you so quick to forget my devotion to you." She looked up at him with such hatred. With her hands in the water she felt the room become very cold. "If I wanted I could end every pathetic life in this cave. Every child I've worked so hard to protect." In a flash the pool of water shot out in all directions in a thin sheet. The minute it contacted the wall it froze as she stood up. "You know what I want Palian, what I want is for someone to tell me that not matter what...that no matter what." She couldn't do it, even now she wasn't brave enough.
"That everything was't my fault." She looked over at Fyte and Nemo. "For so long you avoided me, no one ever came by my room to check on me. I waited and waited, and no one every showed up. So many of the people here blamed me. They called me a fake, and said I was hiding along side all of you to protect myself. No one credited my Hexes powers anymore. YOU ALL SAW ME FOR A WITCH!" As she scream the ice she had created shattered. "So many blamed me for getting kidnapped. They blame me, and say I'm the reason we couldn't stay at school. When Nemo was kidnapped, and when he tried to kill himself....we all helped. You all came to save me, and even though you got me back...I wasn't in pristine condition anymore...you all threw me away like a rag doll. None of you could look at me with out frowning."She bowed her head and tried so hard to keep it in, but once the truth started pouring out it refused to stop.
"You can't just decided in a single night, three months later that you want to try and help me. It doesn't work that way. You all think that if you suddenly try and talk to me I'll instantly get better. That everything will just be put in the past. None of you understand that I get to relive the events every time I close my eyes. In three months do you want to know who came to visit me? Miya and Ryo...big shock there right."
She turn her attention back to Palian and frowned, she was hurting. All she had wanted was for someone to hold her, but that hadn't last as long as she dreamed. "I never expected to see you again. I never expected you and him to work together..." She turned and looked at Nemo. "I am grateful, I understand this is your way of trying...but why didn't you just stop by my room? That was all I wanted, you didn't have to hug me, or even say anything." She used her magic to project her voice to them, she didn't want screaming and yelling to confuse them.
She let her shoulders drop and looked back at Palian. For a moment she looked down at the ground. This was partly what she wanted after all. She looked up at him, standing on her own two feet. "I want you to stand by me...not as a protector, but as an equal. I want to work together, and talk hell I want to see if one day we can make you exist as close to a real human as possible. I want to teach you all about the magic I've been learning while I was alone......I want you to stop leaving me...you don't have to do thing by yourself. Wouldn't it be better if all of us, every single person here learned to fight together?"
"Lastly Palian....I just want you to say you love me...no heroic acts...nothing like that. I just want the Palian I knew to show me he loves me...in whatever why he can that I'll understand."

Jareth
Jareth looked at Kry, amused by his sudden sense of caution. With a shrug, he clapped his hands together once. Several flat discs about the size of a frisbee rose from the sand, stacking just beneath his hands. Reaching out, he used his finger to write on the top most disc, which then transferred to all of the others. Then with a flick of his wrist, each disc shot in a different direction. They would travel the span of the island, to each camp or cluster of people. All would see the words
Party on the south beach. Essential personnel requested. lvl 3 and 4 powers only. Kry gets first dibs on treasure.
After having completed the task, he nodded his head at Kry before settling back onto the ground to continue meditating. The message was sent, all they had to do was to await a reply.

Nɇmø Someone once told me that life was too precious to waste. . .
"You're right," he admitted when Fyte chided him. There were some things that would always go better when done in person. As the thought hit him, he lowered his head to sneak a quick kiss from the girl cuddled against him. And there he remained, for a little while at least. The problem, however, was that the reunion was not going as well as he thought it should. Tsukiko was projecting her voice, essentially damning them for what they had not done. He already knew what was being said without her help, being so tightly linked with Palian at the moment, but he thought the projection was a little much. Nothing like a catastrophe to make everyone start to air their dirty laundry.
He wasn't about to run all the way across the cave mouth, just to keel over when what he really wanted to do was to explain to Tsukiko how she had the wrong of it. He couldn't speak for everyone, but he knew at least for his part, it wasn't that he had abandoned her. He never shunned her. So instead he spoke to his liaison, knowing that Palian would relay the message.
"Come on, we'll freeze if we keep still all wet like this," he said softly to Fyte after a moment. It felt nice, to let go of what he had kept silent about since they got there.
"Can you stand?" he asked after he rose to his feet and slapped the sand off is pants and shirt.
. . . I wonder if I can return the favor.

 Palian Only when you walk the line of nothingness... Palian heard her both directly and as the echo of her projection. Then he heard the whispers from Nemo, a message that was to be conveyed. The words were soft, as if the dreamscaper was afraid to confess even to his own creation. With eyes widening in surprise, Palian closed the few steps that separated them, snagging Tsukiko in a crushing hug.
"It was never your fault," he said in a steady voice. " None of you asked for this to happen. None of you asked to gain these powers, or to be outcasted by society, or hunted by madmen." Inside he was glad that she had not taken him up on his offer. "Only the biggest of masochists would even think of it, let alone go in search of such trouble," he added with a hint of amusement.
"But it looks as though you owe someone an apology," he murmured as he rubbed his face in her hair, still loving the feel of it and happy to have the experience again. "While you've been in your self induced exile and the rest have been either vying for power or trying to organize a semblance of normalcy, a certain someone has been doing some very interesting things."
To be honest, Palian wasn't at all surprised. It was certainly a Nemo thing to do. How else was the boy to test his mettle? He wasn't stupid. Always thinking beyond the current move.
"He wants you to know that he knows where they are. And that all this time, he's been hunting them down." He couldn't help smiling as he spoke, feeling a dark malicious glee that he hadn't known since that glorious battle.
"It is not public information, very few in fact know anything about it. He would appreciate it if you kept it that way. But he felt you had a right to know." As he spoke, he delved into Nemo's mind, pulling a few images from the young man's memory. It seemed Nemo had a very dark side, which made Palian a little annoyed that he'd missed the fun, but anticipatory because he knew the hunt wasn't over.
"Someone had to make an example so that no one came looking for us," he whispered in her ear, his breath tickling across her skin. " That someone made them pay for what they did to our own. To you, Fyte and Nemo too. No one will dare come after any of you again."

Ҭ s u ӄ i ӄ o ☾Forgive me for those words, I know they’re but a cliche to you❄ "He'll get his apology. Along with some some well deserved teasing." She murmured into Palian's chest as he hugged her. Her own wings reappeared on her back and shield them from prying eyes. Wrapping her arms around him she continued to press her face against him. How she did miss him, and how happy she was to have him here with her. "As much as I wished to stop existing...I wanted to see you again." A part of her wanted to cry, but she was to happy. "I'll have a talk with him in length another time, but Fyte and him need some time alone." She looked up and smiled at him. "Are you going to call me snowflake as well?" She ask with a little humor in her tone.
"I will get with him and have a long talk, we have several things we need to discuss. I doubt you want me to practice what I'm going to say to him on you. As for my exile...it's feel a little better knowing that there was reasoning." She took a deep breath and let him go, now wasn't the time she felt for hugs and cuddles. As much as she wanted them, she still wasn't sure of him sometimes. "If you'd permit it, I'd like to have a long talk with you. There are things I'd like you to know, and maybe you could help me understand somethings as well?" She asked a she pull at a strand of her silver hair. "Also I have to know if you prefer the silver or brown?"
Looking at the disc that appeared next to them she took hold of it and read it to Palian. She didn't trust the group, but Miya was often hanging out with them. "Want to go on a treasure hunt, my sister would be interested in meeting you if nothing else?" There would be time later, more time to talk. They understood her message, and it felt like weight had been lifted. Without realizing she once again collapsed into the water. Her knees buckled below her, but is wasn't so bad. She had the support she so badly needed now. There were people looking out for her, and that made her so happy. As much as she wanted to run and hug them all, she was to weak at the moment.
"So I'm not alone anymore, right? Even when I am alone...all of you are here if I need you?" She had been so afraid of the losses, her lack of control in herself. She had failed before, and she wanted this to be different. Tsukiko wanted things to change, but she was Tsukiko. The same girl who couldn't guide herself out of a brightly light room, as if she wore a blindfold. "If I get lost again...do you think everyone will be there to guide me back to the right path?"

Ϻ i ӌ a ✮Where it's all a blur, you are the hard line.✮ "I'm surprised the thing came down that easily, or were you just trying to make me feel good about myself boys." She gave them a cheesy smile as she took her jacket off and wrapped it around her waist. Looking at the invitation sent out by Jareth she smiled hopefully. She secretly hope Tsukiko would show up. "Yeah, I have some people that would love to go." She said softly as she placed Mimi back in her bag.
"I'd invite my older brother, but he's so stubborn. He can't stand being around other guys. Sometimes I wonder if it threatens his masculinity. He's a mangy mutt so I doubt you'd even want him to join us." His ears would be burning now, and he defiantly would drag Tsukiko out with him. When he wasn't looking she could steal her away for herself. Tsukiko hadn't really wanted her attention this past months, and Miya hadn't been able to track down or push her friend to come visit her. Some knight she'd turn out to be, all those years in the academy wasted.
Putting her hand on her hip she looked at Kry. "So if I'm correct weren't you one of the first to arrive at the school. Tsukiko said a boy was here before her, and I didn't care enough back then to stick around. Tell me...what do you know about her powers?" How many times had she asked this question to various groups. Miya could associate herself with people that sought to tap into Tsukiko's powers. It was dangerous to her for people to know to much about her sister's powers. Magic and the Hexes Gene were linked to some degree, and Tsukiko held that link.
✮In the disorder, you are the peace sign.✮

ẴxŁxəxşxšxấ ֆ In this great length of time that has no limit or end… She recoiled a bit at his finger, flinching a bit as he poked her on the nose. She stuck out her tongue to his long winded response, but regardless, she was still happy to know he wasn't hurt too badly. Standing up, she helped him out of the water, but only realized just how close he was when he peered at her face. Unnerved, she could only stare back with a weird expression on her face. She didn't reply to his revelation, only looked away. Following him out, she gave a quick glance back to make sure everyone was alright before leaving.
It wasn't until they were alone that she heaved a heavy sigh and started to speak. "You caught me..." The clone started, flipping a stray lock of hair behind her shoulder. "The real Alessa decided that she had more pressing matters to attend to. Like finding out what caused this." She swept her hand to the side, gesturing to some stray rubble that littered the hallway floor. "Right now, she's probably somewhere outside. But once she gets more details....I'm sure she's going to practically make a declaration of war on Kry. Or at least try and beat him to a pulp." The clone sighed again. Since she was calmer at the moment, she was worried about her real self taking on Kry. His powers were on another level, and Alessa hadn't been able to keep up with her training since moving to the island. It was a wonder that she'd been able to squeeze in practice with her clones, honing it so that they needn't disappear to send her information. Still, she was probably out of practice. Fidgeting the clone continued to follow Ace to who knows where, making sure he kept out of trouble.
~~~~
"Always doing what you want, never considering the well being of others. Some thing never change, Kry." Her mocking tone rang out above them, soon followed by her landing in the sand. Standing up, Alessa shot figurative daggers at the small group, eyes landing on Miya. She narrowed her eyes, recognizing her as Tsukiko's friend. "Don't think that anyone else will be joining your side, Kry. We know how you work, not caring about the weaker students, always doing just what you want. Running things as it were a dictatorship." Unsheathing her sword, she pointed it directly at the group. Its steel glinted in the morning sun.
"You don't even know the damage you've caused with this little stunt of yours, have you?" Alessa growled. Not that it really mattered to her what his answer was. He had hurt the people whom she was trying to protect, and she was going to make him pay. Without another word, she dashed towards them, intending to go after Miya or Jareth first. They were hindrances to getting to Kry, and she wanted to use as little energy against the group as a whole before trying to defeat him.…Even if the two of us get separated someday, I'll find you ֆ
 Ⓕxყxŧxε 風 Change the tears and pain into the stars, let's ignite a light to light up tomorrowBefore she realized it, Nemo's face was really close to hers, and in that moment, the small distance that separated them was closed. Fyte felt something soft and warm against her own lips for a moment, before she closed her eyes and returned the kiss to him. She was embarrassed, of course, but not enough to ruin the moment. What did cut it short, however, was Tsukiko projecting her voice, causing Fyte to feel ashamed. She had her reasons for neglecting her friend, but at the moment, she felt that it wasn't her priority to go running off to the water witch to explain herself. No, what the silver haired girl needed was much needed alone time with Palian. He would be able to calm the girl down and comfort her, Fyte knew.
Suddenly, she realized something; she had just shared her first kiss with Nemo. Instantly, her face turned pink all the way to her ears, and one hand instantly went to cover her mouth in embarrassment. Mutely, she nodded to Nemo, getting to her feet in silence. Unsure of what to say, she looked down at the ground, cheeks and ears still burning.
"A-achoo!" She sneezed again, shivering as another breeze rolled through. "C-c'mon, I think my room's closer to us." Fyte sniffled, taking the initiative to move away from the cave mouth.
…Let the two of us put our small hands together, and let's search for stardust and a bright shining eternity 風
Jareth Jareth didn't even bother to move when Alessa first made her appearance. Every so often, someone would show up with some stupid line or other, condemning Kry. Always looking down on him for making a stand, when so many were simply too confused to figure out the order of things. The strong ruled over the weak. He didn't even have to voice his opinioin on the matter, knowing that his very support of his friend was proof enough of his ideals. Which, to them, automatically made him a villain. Jareth never really saw himself as evil, more benign, and not stupid.
However, when the girl pulled out a sword and started to charge at them, he couldn't simply chalk her up as a simpleton bent on complaining that things weren't like home. Definitely a fool, he thought.
With a dramatic flourish that was rarely seen, he leapt to his feet and met her blade with one of his own. The metal sparked as the edges slid along one another. He was a formidable opponant, having at least a good fifty pounds of dense muscle and several inches of height over Alessa. His free hand ached to unsheeth his second sword, but he wagered it unecessary. For now, at least.
As he forced her strike away, he positioned himself between her and Kry, just in case she try to switch targets. Miya was not as important, but he hoped she was smart enough to stay out of the way.
