Volpeo said while observing the Stairs cautiously before setting a path.

He would suddenly proceed to held Milla Bridal style before Activating Aether spirit so he would ignore his hunger and exhaustion for a bit, granting him a movement speed buff while he dashed their way through the stairs.
" Aaaand here we are ~<3"
He replied while placing Milla gently back to her feet. Once they reached the top.

Milla was just about to take a step only to be caught into a princess hold, which made her blink in confusion "um.." she began only to watch them run up the stairs when she was put down she did not know what to say "thats..the first time someone actually did that...it caught me off guard" she admitted rubbing the back of her head looking at him "lets..just go then" she said as she walked to a dinning room which was begining to fill with kitsunes

"thank you" she responded as he pulled her chair out "though id be abit careful..there are many kitsunes who still attempt to ask me out...you doing things like that might make them jealous of you" she whispers chuckling a bit at the words. when the kitsuens stopped coming in it was a sign that all except the ones who had family dinners and other stuff were there, soon the food began to get brought out and placed on the table

The kitsune would proceed to pick some of the food and eat as well.
" hmm..."
He savored the food while listening to Milla's explanation. He paused, then proceeded.
" That would explain why you pretty much won most of the festivals. You have some natural charm to it. And, well anyone can fell in love with your kindness. It's really unique and admirable. "
Expressed the kitsune before taking another bite at his food.
" My god this is delicious, I haven't eaten home food for 19 years "
He expressed with tears of joy.

she couldnt help but smile "it may be true i have some sort of charm to help me get likes..but really im just a normal kitsune with an average beauty" she explained soundign convincing, but many would always disagree, "hehe..of course it is..we have good cooks who cook all their lives and enjoy doing it" she said to him seeing him cry with happyness

Volpeo would feast upon the delicious dishes the famous cooks would so marvelously prepare for the event.
Still, with his ears attending every of Milla's words he would pause here and there for small replies.
" really? Perhaps its your average beauty that's been preserved over time what makes you more attractive. "
He said, pausing to finish that slice of bread.
" It is because you are a constant variable within life, they knew you when they were looking for someone special and found your beauty, which had persevered over time. I on the other hand... "
He paused to take some of those addictive sweets.
" I'm sorry, on the other hand, I always saw you like a mother like figure... eventually to a goddess perhaps. someone who can always made me smile, someone who cared about me... and someone I cared for. I love you, but my love is different from theirs it's more... like the love between a mother and her cub, maybe it is because I knew you as a child, that my love remained the same as it is today. Maybe, if I was a teen, or an adult back then, I would have found myself in the same position as them. "
He thought most of that out loud, but then again, he felt really comfortable around Milla that he didn't even mind his own words.

milla ate slowly and delicately, almost perfect for a lady, despite she was not trying it it just happened. "or its just the fact my complection remains the same over the years and..many some want bragging rights about a wife who never ages" she said chuckling at the thought "though i doubt that im sure they have more integrity than that" she joked before listening to him "well...im glad you see me as that way, and in true honesty i never wanted anyone to think of me as a mother..a sister..a daughter..or anything of the sort rather as an equal person who loves and cares as mch as they do for this place..buuuuut in the end it became the way i didnt want it to become and it just grew on me to accept most of the love being as a mother...yours expessially ive grown used to" she smiled "but its a good thing you ddnt end up like them..you found someone to be with..wel will be with when your job is done but your happieness is right in sight"

 A shadowy figure remained hidden within the brush watching the Kitsune tree from a far. The figure remained still observing every aspect of the giant tree. "So this is the fabled tree of the Kitsunes? Hmm how primitive. No matter I should be able to gather the necessary data I need. Now go and do not fail me." An ominous voice called. From the brush a giant beast emerged on all fours. The creature was composed of both organic and mechanical parts. The creature pulsed with a strange orange light, which would have caught anyone's attention. The creature quickly made its way towards the giant tree. Despite its mechanical parts the creature appeared quite feral. The beast immediately began striking the tree. Its claws dug deep into the bark of the tree but the question still remained. Why was the creature acting the way it was?

Volpeo chuckled as he was being compared to the other kitsunes. Then taught about his happiness being at hand when his job was done.
" Yup, a lovely life indeed. "
Replied Volpeo, about to continue when the tree began rambling.
" W-what's going on?"
He was about to Jump and take Milla out of the tree for safety when a light trapped his body and his silhouette disappeared.
" E-Elder!!.."
The kitsune was long gone before he could do anything.
