Ixel tried to climb to the top once more, horribly eager to get onto Santa's lap. This was fun, why not?
Unfortunately, Santa didn't find Ixel's yelling nearly as fun as Ixel did.

Somehow, by a miracle, Serafina was not totally discouraged yet. The next day, almost determined to somehow end up on that lap, she came back, hands on her hips as she assessed the situation in front of her. That boot was large... and long ... but she had to get past it eventually, right? She would use all the might she had in an attempt to get herself up there!
Determined, Serafina cracked her knuckles and approached the boot once again. She rolled her shoulders, cracked her neck, and shook out her legs. She could do this!
... Or ... not.
It seemed that no matter how hard she was trying, or how much she was determined, that boot was her limiting factor. On the third attempt to climb Santa, she found herself stuck at the top of his boot once again, out of strength and stamina, and utterly frustrated with the whole situation. Why did this stupid guy have to be such a Jackdamned giant?!
Giving up, Serafina got down again, heading home without anything to show for her long venture.

Wynter whimpered. Seriously? What were the odds of this occurring a third time? .... well they do say it comes in threes. Wynter eyed the lollipop before handing it off to another monster. He really didn't feel like eating another one. He shrugged and started making his way back to his dorm, it looked like he would be trying another time tomorrow. Hopefully... the result will be different. He wouldn't be able to look at lollipops the same way again.

Standing on Santa's lap Monty shout's out his wish, and next thing he knows he is being slapped on the back and sent tumbling to the ground by a huge hand. He gets up stomps his foot and walks off.

On one hand, he got up to Santa's lap. Progress! On another hand, he got knocked down. Again. By another student. What had really pissed him off though--hey, another body was better than getting smacked in the face with more snow--was the fact the other boil had gotten higher up than he had. Offended on a massive scale, Neithan hadn't bothered to check his flames or limbs too much as he and the other boil got tangled and landed in the snow below.
He'd incinerated the box of lies the reindeer had given him. He was beginning to loath all this JOY crap...

Maple was beginning to wonder if these requests she had been making were supposed to be answered, or if they were simply wishful thinking. Probably the latter, she wasn't that lucky. Bus despite all that, the ghoul was at the site the very next day and daring to make the climb once more.
Procedures were followed, not looking down and just closing her eyes and going up. Somehow, she made it up just as she had the last two times. And once again found the snow coming down on her in a heap. Not before uttering a different request of books (maybe that could be granted).
Lollipop once again. She still hadn't eaten the other two they gave her.

Having regained her energy, Mayaa managed to climb on Santa's lap. Success! Now he HAD to hear her-
The harpy let out a yelp as another student shoved her off, and she fell face-first in the snow, and she let out a muffled sniffle. Why...
A nice reindeer came by and helped her though, and even gave her a present! Opening it excitedly, Mayaa stared at the empty box for several minutes with a look of confusion until she finally understood, and hugged the box tightly.
It was a magical invisible minipet.

Okay. Alright. One more time. He could try this one more time. Third time was the charm, right? Arrakis could pull the strength from his tired arms one more time to try climbing more than thrice his height, right?
Right.
Okay.
Taking another deep breath and puffing it back out, he rubbed his hands together and gave the climb another go. Hand over hand, foot over foot. His arms ached enough by this point that they shook the entire time he climbed. Arrakis was still able to do it, at least, though, and he took that as a bit of comfort as he sat himself, this time, on Santa's lap.
Oh. His lap.
Well.
Perhaps Arrakis hadn't really been expecting to make it that far, because he certainly didn't seem prepared as he craned his head to look up and found words failing him. Mouth drying out, he made a couple of false starts vocally before abruptly finding himself scrambling back down towards the snow. At some point in the process, he couldn't recall where, he had been given a very large candy cane, and Arrakis held onto it quite tightly as he stood off to the side and watched others give it their go.
...What had he even been going to wish for?
Muttering to himself and running his fingers over the surface of the hard candy treat, he sat heavily back down in the snow and tried to ignore the feeling of the cold seeping through his pants. ...Should he give it a fourth go? ...Maybe. He didn't know, yet. Maybe. If he could remember what it even was he'd wanted.

It happened again. This is the third time. Lihua made up to santas knee and got throwned off his lap. She had shouted out loud what she wanted instead of whispering it in his ear. Cormick had done it. After days, DAYS of trying to get to the fat man's lap, he had made it.

What the jack did he wish for...His face paled as Santa Ho'd Ho'd Ho'd him off. Sticking a candy cane in his mouth. He started to chew on it trying to think of his wish...

Back again. Draven was back again, and this time he was determined speak to Santa. More than determined. He even wore his most determined expression half way up those boots. About half way his grip slipped a bit, and he was forced to wear an expression of surprise and then concern, but he was determined anyway.
Getting to the lap was just about as hard as it had been the times before, and Draven took a small moment to catch his breath. Finally. Now he would ask Santa for...
Wow. This guy was huge. And intimidating. Draven gaped up at the giant, jolly guest to their world. Could this guy really grant almost anything? Would he? What if--
A candy cane was shoved in his hands and Draven was ushered off as the next student made up the harrowing climb. Poor boil had been to busy gaping to ask Santa anything.
