Connor moved closer to the group as it seemed they were to make their escape. The Distortion World sounded like a horrible place to be...was that really their only escape route? "Tch! Just our luck. Ember!" Connor told Torchic, the tiny bird unleashing his fiery projectile upon Toxicroak and Scrafty. If anything, it should help keep them at bay long enough. He proceeded to return his pokemon afterwards since everyone else was doing so.

"By the power in vested in the King's Guard by his majesty, Lumiose Tower is now on lock down. The elevators will no longer operate and civilians are ask to remain calm while the apprehending of a dangerous and illegal Pokemon is complete." A voice would sound out over the loud speaker informing everyone that they were stuck here. It was as if the voice had pushed a button that triggered something in everyone there as the civilians began to do just as Sub had feared, riot. Pushing began right away, and soon that pushing would turn into fighting. Fortunately the guards were now distracted themselves as they were turned on by the civilians, the Pokemon Connor attacked stunned briefly as they then disappeared into the crowd.

"That's the guy that caused all this!" One person shouted from somewhere as several people in the crowd now faced Sub. "Looks like he has friends too!" Looks like Sub was about to be another focus of their anger, along with those with him. "Let's take that Pokemon from him and get out of here!" Another shouted. "See? I told you guys! Now go!"

Atlantis_Darts
Darts looks around at the Snagems surrounding him, Amaranth, Odd, Reno, and the others, as Sub finishes outlining his plan. "Alright, I hope you know what's going to happen..." And then, as if like magic, Darts' lack of confidence vanishes entirely, his spine straightening, his breathing slowing as he moves to the center of the surrounding group. His body was unconsciously preparing itself for the gamble, where most people would have their heart race, Darts' blood runs cold in the heat of the action, but he loved every second.

"Now, I'm not quite sure," he begins, gesturing around at the Snagems surrounding him. "What exactly is going to happen in the Distortion World. I do know one thing for certain, and that is you are going to need me to get back. Which is a bit of a problem, all things considered, because once I take this jacket," Here he tugs at the gold and black garment draped over him for emphasis. "Off, all bets are off. This is my dimensional anchor to this world, here. As a Giratina hybrid I am constantly drawn towards the Distortion World that overlays our own, and somehow, this jacket when I was cursed has become a mental and physical tether for this world." He pauses. "The coffee helps too. Regardless, when I take it off I get sucked into the Distortion World, and theoretically so will you. But it's a backwards place where water will scald you like fire, and poison will heal you like medicine, and, unlike here, things that seem solid and real are just phantasms and vice versa. It drives you mad. Drove me mad. But the other thing is certain, as soon as we get there I will be in full hybrid rage mode, and I will not be happy."

"Let's go, let's go, let's go!" Odd shouted to the others as he attempted to throw the crowd off of Sub's trail for a few seconds. In all the chaos, he slipped into an illusion of the Snagem Leader, holding up a "Master Ball" which was, in reality, just his own fist disguised by illusion, which contained a minimized empty Heal Ball. "You want my Mew, fine, come and get it!" He exclaimed as he grabbed Darts' arm and dragged the Giratina hybrid to the other Snagems, allowing the man to see him through the illusion while everyone else would still see him as Sub. Hopefully the rouse would work because as soon as he had the other Snagems collected, he threw the disguised Heal Ball off the tower in hopes of the "police" chasing after it, thinking it to be the real Sub's actual Master Ball.

"Take off the jacket! We need to get out of here, immediately!" He'd growl to Darts as soon as he let go of the ball, praying everyone had heard Sub's plan like he had and was holding onto Darts when he did.

"Alright! Sheesh everyone's a critic." Darts growls, taking his thermos of coffee out of his jacket to drain the last dregs of it before tossing the cup aside. "Hold on to something. Well, er, uh, I guess in this case me." He wastes no time hesitating as he sweeps the jacket off of one arm first and then the other, the jacket swaying and attempting to stick to him like a congealed ooze as he peels it off of himself, revealing his shiny silver skin underneath the coat, along with his almost-never-noticed black tee. The coat squirms and struggles, the golden flecks at the bottom and along his collar bones winking furiously as he rips it off, and then with a half sob tosses it on the ground, a single tear winking in his eye as he gazes at his jacket on the ground for one brief instant.

Then, in the world we know as our own, an enormous roar like the scream of a vacuum pushed past its sucking limit would ring through the tower, and with a burst of blackened energy and a rip within the very fabric of being itself, Darts and the other Snagems would vanish, swept away to another state of being entirely, leaving nothing more but the haunting echoes of a sound unheard by mortal ears, unless they had encountered Giratina.

--

The Snagems who came with Darts would appear to have landed in the same room as they had been in before, in Lumiose. However, there was a couple things distinctly wrong with where they had ended up. In Distortion World, not everything was backwards, some things were the same, as the world shared similarities, being two halves of the same coin. For instance, their feet would still be rooted firmly on terra firma... for the moment, gravity in this place seemed to be content to work properly. However, everything around them had an odd shimmering quality to it, as if to vanish at any moment. The second thing they would notice is that with every pull of their lungs at the air, every cacophonous beat of their heart, and every moment their bone flesh and sinew existed in this world, they would feel themselves in if not intense pain, at least intense discomfort, like their bodies rebelling against the agony of living. In the Distortion World, life is not the natural state of being. Death is.

Darts, for his part in things, was holding himself together pretty well for the moment, though his hands were shaking as he looks around. As a Ghost, and being already at least partially deceased, he would be the least affected by the world. By being a Giratina hybrid, he would be the most affected by the Distortion. "So. So here we are...." He manages to grit out, his silvery trembling hands clenching and unclenching as he fights to keep control. "I would... I would not stick around too much longer, if I was you...."

Reno would collapse upon entry, the realm's very essence screaming against the psychic energy that was a part of him. Decidicing now would be a good opportunity to take advantage of what he had on hand. Placing the hoverboard out and crawling onto the floating object, Reno was prepared to claw his way along after the rest of the group. Leslie, unsure what just happened to Reno, let the extreme unease she felt simply fade into the back of her mind as she walked next to Darts, hands already on Pokeballs in case any emergency happened in need of extreme force.

The crowd was briefly distracted by the fake Sub, but once the fake disappeared it would only be a matter of time before they spotted the real one again, who was scurrying towards the black jacket that had just hit the ground after the others were torn to another dimension. "Gotcha!" Sub said as he snatched the jacket up, quickly throwing it out, and scurried towards the glass windows that allowed one to look out at Lumiose City. He was getting ready to smash a window and jump, but something stopped him and he wasn't sure what. The jacket, what is wrong with that jacket he put on? Something wasn't right, his body froze suddenly and he had no idea how to make it move again. He had to move, and soon, else wise he would get lynch. Despite knowing of the dire situation, he could not move. The jacket is...Darts?

Holding onto the group, the dark haired teen couldn't follow what exactly was happening. There was a chilling cry and then, darkness. Upon entering the Distortion World, Connor was overwhelmed by the feeling of...well it was hard to describe. It was as if life itself was trying to kill him and it was very uncomfortable. He attempted to look around at the place to take his mind off the discomfort. Looking to Darts after he spoke, it didn't seem he was taking this too well...at all. Connor backed away from the hybrid, sensing danger coming from him. He felt his hand clench Torchic's pokeball, perhaps harder than he realized as this place was throwing him off.

Well, so much for Sol getting in. He'd soon find the elevator was unusable. Hearing the loudspeaker, he had a feeling of what probably happened. "Hm, a shame. I won't be needing that, then." Quickly, he ran out and decided to start flying his way up the tower. Or at least to the terrace. Getting inside probably wasn't going to happen, but he was at least useful as a distraction. Or maybe to break a window. Whatever worked.

Amaranth, having too much to worry about if she stayed, grabbed Darts' arm and immediately wished she hadn't. Part of this was because of being whished away with such fanfare, to a place straight out of her nightmares. If her nightmares had a dose of reality-altering craziness, that is. She backed up a step afterward, slowly retrieving the Master Ball from her pocket and opening it.

Cera would emerge from it, looking absolutely livid. "Okay, whose bright idea was it to cram me into that ball- oh god, I think I'm gonna hurl." Having acute senses to energy sucked to this day, though at least she didn't have to worry about it affecting her as badly as they once used to. She did, however, have to worry about a place like this affecting her, the realm's weirdness immediately driving her up a wall and making her sick to her stomach. Plopping onto the ground, she heaved and lost what little lunch she had earlier in the day. "Uuuugh... I think that's passing now... maybe... Ammy, where are we?"

"I... don't know." Amaranth spoke up, all but frozen in place. She wanted out now. "I don't want to know."

Odd would likely be the least affected by the world around them upon arrival. Being honed in to the energy of the dead, he'd been, in a sense, preparing for something like this for some time. He did feel the extreme discomfort from the very act of existing here but it was not so profound as in the other Snagems. Thanking his lucky stars for the fact that his life was also a sort of unlife, he moved towards Darts with a slightly jerky movement, his body not wanting to work quite right as his half-life-filled body was being fought against by this dimension and it's very core purpose.

Looking to the others, he figured he would need to create some sort of portal through which Darts could carry them. The stories he'd read about this place said it was connected by mirrors and other reflective surfaces so something reflective might give them what they needed. "We need a mirror! A big one!" He called to the others, his voice weak as his body fought against this world and it's effects, only managing to keep it partially at bay. It would seem that he was just barely keeping himself under control as well.

"I heard Sub tell him to focus on his jacket to return to but we need a way for him to return to it." He tried to explain, though at this point, he was trying to help Darts remain in control, attempting to channel his own undead energy into the Giratina hybrid as a way to potentially debuff the Distortion World's influence over him.

Sub was finally successful in shaking off the strange vibe the jacket was giving off, allowing himself to finally move again. Now mobile he would release Monstressor, his Tyranitar, causing the mob to gasp in shock as the rock monster swung his tail to get them to stay back. "Monstressor! Break that glass!" He ordered. As commanded Monstressor would swing its thick tail at the glass window, a loud thud sounding out upon contact but regardless of the blow the glass was unharmed. "Crap, that's some pretty strong glass or whatever it is." Sub grunted, noticing the crowd was releasing Pokemon after Pokemon to attack him and his Tyranitar.

Fearing for his life he returned Monstressor and began to climb on the window which sat at an angle so that people could see the ground from high up. Now completely against the glass and nowhere else to go, he had no idea what to do. "Ladies and gentlemen! Let this day go down in history as the day you almost caught the master thief, Darts! ...Sub! My name is Sub- holy...!" He wasn't sure what compelled him to say that, especially in the situation he was in but he did. Regardless his audience didn't have time to admire his speech as he suddenly fell through the glass he was sitting upon, like a ghost.

"What the hell!?" Was all he could say as he began to free fall, Darts's jacket flapping in the window as he wore it. The tower was very tall, fortunately, and once Sub recollected himself he thought to release a Pokemon. "Pallas! I'm going to die if you don't get out here!" He shouted as he threw out one of his Dusk Balls, not even caring what would happen to it.

"Buzz!" Cried the vulture as it appeared from the ball, instantly noticing her falling trainer. The bird would flew out a ways and make a u-turn, dive bombing down towards her soon-to-be-a-pancake trainer and grabbing a hold of the jacket with her talons. Sub would have slipped through the jacket easily as Pallas pulled it but for some reason he was holding onto it for dear life the moment he fell, as if it was the only thing keeping him connected to reality.

"I'm alive...ha! I'm alive!" He cackled as Pallas struggled to fly with him dangling below. "How did I fall through that glass? I didn't break, I know it didn't." He mumbled to himself as they slowly went down towards the ground, the tired bird unable to keep them aloft. "Oh, sorry girl. Let me down on the ground." He told the Mandibuzz who promptly did so, the pair landing in some ally. "Okay, I'm alive. I'm out of the tower. Now, how the hell do I get those guys to come back?" He pondered slightly worried as Pallas perched on a nearby dumpster. "Man I could use some coffee after all this...an entire pot of it."

The energy appeared to be helping Darts, as he growled and struggled to keep himself together. "Yeah... a.... gnn.... a mirror could work...." Without his jacket, he was just barely holding himself in check, black tendrils beginning to form on his back, spiraling outwards slowly. He was trying to resist the Origin Forme, but the longer they stayed here the less likely it was going to be that he was going to be able to prevent that. Once the Origin Forme took hold, he was going to unleash all sorts of chaotic hell. "Everyone... search the other rooms, see what you can find...."

--

Darts' jacket flaps on Sub's back in a forlorn sort of way. Separated from master, it had taken a new host for the time being. One who was not nearly caffeinated enough for its liking. It begins subtly transmitting more and more caffeine urges into Sub's pleasure center in his brain, attempting to get its host to hurry on the coffee.

Sol turned to see Sub fall through the glass of the terrace, opting to make himself scarce from there in a hurry. He dropped down without a moment's hesitation, spreading his wings to slow his descent and land a little easier. He was quick about following Sub, eventually catching up. "You know, I heard that bit of bravado, Darb." He quipped. "Or would it be Sarts...?" Suffice to say, Sub wasn't going to live that down.

Amaranth started backing up as Darts, only to get pulled by Cera seconds later. "Ammy, you heard him! I dun think either of us wants to see the rest of... that." She spoke up, the two taking off for another room in the distorted Lumiose Tower.

Thank Arceus for Odd keeping Darts calm, if only for a little while longer. "The last thing I want to do is fight a Giratina hybrid. Not that it'd be much of a fight..." Connor sighed solemnly. He minimized the pokeball in his hand and pocketed it for now. According to the ghost channeller, if they wanted out, they needed a mirror. "I'll see what I can find" the teen complied, taking off around a far off corner. Time was of the essence but running felt even weirder than walking. He checked every crevice he saw but they turned out to be apart of the walls. And every opening he approached was blocked of by...whatever that was. "Tch! What gives with this place?" the teen growled. In frustration, he tried to kick a wall, only for his foot to pass through it like a ghost. Recalling what was said about this place, he stuck his head inside to find a different room. Low and behold, a large mirror...rock...thing. Whatever it was, it was too big to move on his own. "Hey! I found a mirror!" Connor shouted loud enough for everyone to hear.

Reno, slowly rising to his feet after the last bout with intense, brutalizing pain, felt his essence settle into a tense state versus the screaming in agony version it had been. Hearing the order to search for a mirror, Reno decided that if the realm had accepted his essence, he might be able to use Serene Senses to good effect. The second it turned on, the wrongness of the world came to a sudden screaming clarity of wrongness. The smell of the world felt like it was touch, taste suddenly became the way to feel emotions, hearing the taste of meat and agony, and feeling the words that were now reeking through the world. The complete reversal of normal life and the pure...mind breaking potential made Reno scream at the sky, agony ringing out in his voice as this sensation even went into his mind. "I will eat your unhappiness!!!" The man screamed, struggling against the feeling to point at his bag for the people around. Collapsing to the ground and continuing to scream bloody murder, the words "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh C'thulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" slipped into the screams, the strange chant repeating indefinitely.

Leslie would flee from her surrogate father, watching as Reno descended into madness over something imperceptible. Glancing to the line pointing finger before he finally collapsed to the ground with images of horror crossing his face. Breathing deeply before crawling to the bag, she picked a Pokeball and thre it, yelling, "Ice Beam!!" Tesei appeared and obliged, a sheen of ice covering the area nearby in an attempt to give a reflective surface. Hopefully that might work.

"Man I'm thirsty." Sub complained as he recalled his Mandibuzz, wandering out of the ally way afterwards. He had no idea where he was going, his body seemed to move on his own. Before he was concerned with everyone coming back from the Distortion World, but now all he could think about was how thirsty he was. "Hey, a cafe." He spoke aloud as if someone was with him, but alas he was all alone. Without a thought he immediately entered the cafe and had a seat at the first table he could find.

"Hey! Coffee!" He shouted as he slammed a first on the table, impatiently waiting to be waited on. "Wait, I don't like coffee..." He would mumble to himself. The man was about to get up and leave but before he could a waitress brought to him a single cup of coffee. "Here you go, rude." The waitress huffed as she walked away. Sub just stood there in his half sitting half standing position, staring down at the cup of coffee, its aroma captivating him.

As if by reflex alone he quickly snatched the cup up and chugged its entire contents, slamming it back down on the table once finished. "Refill!" He shouted as he seated himself, this time remaining there as he kept knocking the table until he got more coffee. "I hate coffee..." He could't help but think to himself, his body acted otherwise.
