All those beautiful memories came flowing back to her. The good, the bad, the worse... And now they had to leave again.
Riyo didn't just feel complete, she felt satisfied for once in her life. Slowly remembering everything had given her time to evaluate not only them, but how they affected her. How they applied to her daily rituals. It had given her a sense of self... And now that she finally had that inner peace within her grasp...
She had to give it all away.
The feline smiled her most genuine smile and closed her eyes. No, she wouldn't feel sad about it. The beginning and the end hadn't really mattered. It was the journey that brought her to this very point, and the journey was what she would have to relive.
Honestly, she sort of looked forward to it.
Maybe this time, instead of just doing it by herself, she'd have her friends to help her along. Perhaps, it would be better than before.
A large sigh of relief escaped her mouth as she opened that letter from the school she had applied to. This would be her chance to delay fate for a little longer. Perhaps, figure out a better way to deal with people so her job wouldn't be so soul numbing. She refused to hope that anything would change, because life had always been on a steady march to the bottom. All she could feel at those moments was the satisfaction that, for once, she had been good enough.
Standing proudly, Riyo had finally done something truly spectacular. She had worn a dress. After years of irrational fears regarding the distinctly shaped attire, she had overcome it with the help of her friends, and now she was going to win that bet with Titus come Hell or high water.
Her mother was gone. Her father had been gone. Riyo was alone now, left with a legacy that wasn't hers. Yet, in the morning, She still managed to stand. She still picked herself up, cleaned herself off, and continued walking. There were no other options. Even if the weight of the world was on her shoulders, she would still find the strength to move forward, inch by tedious inch.
Her heart almost leaped out of her chest the first time she had managed to play the song correctly without screwing up. Riyo stared at her violin in awe, filled with a determination to continue forward. Her hard work had paid off. She had managed to hone her skill into a shape, now she only needed practice to sharpen it.
As Riyo smashed through the office building with a rusty led pipe, she could feel her chains rust and snap apart flimsily. Everything that had held her back for so long was breathing its final breaths, and from it's ashes would come a new beginning. She could not say what the future would hold. All she knew is that it would be hers, and hers alone. The thought of forging her own path gave her hope.
She hadn't gotten a chance to tell them how much they meant to her...
"... I can't take away the suffering... Or the pain. Or the insecurity, but... You don't have to suffer by yourself." It seemed like such a measly thing when she put it that way. It made her stomach clench in pain. The bitterness. The desire to let him suffer alone. Her bottled up anger.
But Riyo had made her decision, and there was no way she would go back on her word now.

She couldn't remember herself, that made her scared. She named herself Renayk after scrambling some letters flashed by her mind.
She couldn't believe she got a rare weapon, it was a beautiful bow.
She chose to align with Longing for the warm sweet smile on the Goddess's face. The second blessing from offering the orbs was also a warm one, she remembered she was searching for something....
She hated to fight, she scared to fight, but sometimes fighting is the only way to protect someone.
She was so confused and helpless. Inside her was restless soul that yelled for something. Something she well forgot. She needed to seek, she was afraid and alone.
She felt more comfortable when she was there, though both of them disliked battle. Those foggy creatures were so scary.
She got lost so easily, but luckily each encounter gave her new friends, nice and warmed her heart.
She didn't expect to win any battles, but she did with helps of other figures.
She needed help, that creature was too strong for her to take alone. Two figures appeared when she was at the worst situation.
She got a pistol, but she felt throwing stones are more fitted for her.
No matter what he did, he couldn't manage to push himself up after the Processor's last strike. He couldn't do anything--the monster had won.
Watching the tea memory play out, Elium couldn't help but smile at the interaction between the sisters. It was...sweet, and something he hadn't truly experienced since being pulled from the void.
The Goddess Paranoia had taken more of his memories, and he couldn't even bring himself to be angry about it. What was it he was missing, anyway?
He had won. For the first time, he'd killed one of those twisted monsters, and he was ecstatic.
Elium couldn't stop now--the Guardian was almost felled, and he was making cut after cut into the gigantic knight's armor. It was either him or it, and he had no choice--
Landing that final shot on the Mimic made something very clear to Elium. He wasn't weak anymore.
The glider took off without a hitch, and Elium couldn't help but be surprised. This was the first time he'd tried flying, and yet, it just...felt so natural.
As he neared the top of the cliff, Elium stopped abruptly, watching the harpies before him soar on wings of mist. If he wasn't about to have to kill all of them, he would have considered such a thing beautiful.
He felt himself nod, and the cleric seemed pleased by his understanding, crouching down to get to eye level with him. "You are of the Alzar wing, and we will take care of you. Do not fret, youngling."
"We are your wing." Another beat of silence. "...your family?" Hesitantly, they were no longer alone. This...could have been a sign of things getting better.
Can't trust anybody right now. This's...not good, not good at all.
Other people's memories danced before his eyes, and Elium could only sit and watch as he was immersed in them. The silver clip was brought before his eyes, and he marveled at it, caught up in the illusion--
The looming enemy was back again, calling out to them in a raspy voice as they ran. There were more of them this time, and the pair carried the corpse awkwardly between them, not entirely sure why. Something about it seemed...important, as if dropping it would ruin everything--
"Elium, you know what you must do. It is your time to become Chosen, and--" "But what if I've changed m'mind? If I don't wanna join in with the cult?"
He drove the dagger into the shadowy figure's heart, eyes locking with its own as it staggered back. He wasn't prey.
His wing was in wartime now. There were new prisoners, new Rotted, and he'd been told to put them in their place...
"Nice shot!" he'd called, watching as his fellow combatant had finished the tangled beast off effortlessly. They were done now, and he felt a grin worm its way onto his face.
"Hello hello hello hello hello--" Alright, that could stop right now. At least killing it was easy enough.
His glider sunk into the clouds, and Elium could feel his heart drop as the voices grew louder and louder...
Ramithal was dead. He held his mask between his hands, staring down into the empty lenses. His friend wasn't coming back.

This was it, this was everything, it was broken, and now she had to make a choice. Everything around her bent and tore, swirled and dripped it was horrible, she couldn't look at it. She closed her eyes and tried instead to feel with her heart, she reached deep, deep down to the promise.
She promised, she could remember, she could hear her voice, she had promised to help protect, to save, to sacrifice her memories for this. Excalibur promised to return them, but she had to choose now to sacrifice them again.
Her body trembled, she couldn't, but she had promised, she had to and yet evrything had been so hard, she had endured so much for those precious snippets that belonged to her!
Like a miser with his gold Sin slowly hesitantly started to surrender her memories, sacrifice them in the hope that it wuld be enough, in the hope that Excalibur would keep the promise to restore them.
"We've chosen, you'll attend Amityville Academy, it's rather prestigeous Sin and you'll have plenty of hances to make strong alliances with other demons while being exposed to the other races."
Her fingers stroked the frightened minipet and soon it calmed under her touch. She pulled it's leg free of the scarefari trap and offered it some FEAR candy she had made. "Don't be scared you'll have a new home with me." She had a way with minipet's, a gift for training them to be more docile, except of course for her two spoiled babies.
She twined her fingers with Rosc's and looked at him hopefully, after all they had endured together and apart she just wanted to think that a time of tranquility was coming. She hoped that someday things at school wouldn't be so perilous and that when they had a little scareling of their own they wouldn't have to worry about them the way her parents worried about her.
She fought back, the tree had her in it's grasp it was battering her, but she wouldn't let it beat her. Despite the way the snow clung to her skin making it sting she lashed out and her heel struck the cheerful tree dead on. As she pulled herself back to her feet and brushed the snow off she glared around her, this place wouldn't beat her she was stronger then she appeared.
It was precious to her this fragile trust he'd given her, and so she was careful. Her fingers moved gently over his scars, when her hand came to touch his cheek she was slow. She loved him and she wanted him to understand how much he meant to her.
Sin knew she had another memory, but she couldn't sacrifice it, creation was too precious to her, the memory of the grail was something she couldn't surrender. Instead she kept it close needing it for herself and terrified that she could be tipping the scales in in favor of destruction.
She gathered up courage and started to sacrifice again, other memories, precious memories, memories she wanted to cling to desperately, but knew she couldn't.
This is where you remember, this is where you come to pour out how you feel about what's been done.
The taste lingered on her tongue, it was bitter and harsh and she quickly reached for another cup to banish it.
It was love, it lingered on her tongue, it infused her senses, she was loved and no matter what the memory of Rosc would not be banished from her heart.
She was merciful, but she could afford mercy after realizing how much power she really had inside her.
She was in the cage, she felt her heart pounding, she had to get out, get out before they came and turned her into...no she had the promise of safety, but she didn't believe it, there was no safety.
She stared down into the chasm and her fingers ached, he heart ached with the knowledge of her failure.
Everything glowed blue, this was it, this was the end, but she didn't care beause what was the point in living if everything you loved was taken?
Her hand moved across the paper as she struggled to hold the tears at bay, if he had to read this it would be hard enough without seeing the stains of her tears on the page.
She swam, she struggled, it was so important but she didn't dare give up no matter how futile it seemed when so much was at stake.
She touched them, each deep blue bubble, memories of him, some sweet some bitter, but she gave them each lovingly because she knew how special they were, knew the power of her love.
He was there when she fell asleep, he was there when she woke, and she knew that he would always be there for her.
Drained of all but the one she waited and hoped it would be enough to save all she held so dear.

She had trusted him and he had betrayed her...
...making her first slash miss...but not her second...
Gwyn plunged her scythe into the creature's head killing it.
The wall could only hold things at bay.
Her mother picked her up and hugged her close...
Then the creature smacked her with its tail, so she cut off the tip of its tail with her scythe. So there.
...Wyng launched her glider and, for the first time, flew.
She was a candidate to be a goddess...
Having never seen a glider before, Wyng tried to figure out how to use one.
Walking out of the shrine, Wyng wondered what had caused her to cry, what she had forgotten.
Wyng wanted to melt the machine down...
...then she felt two strong hands gather each fragment of her memories and make her whole again.
Cautiously, Wyng approached the goddess...
She had managed to learn to transform quicker than her mother!
At first, she was a part of the fog, swirling emotions and memories.
Dodging under the monster, she slashed at its legs.
Not heeding the advice of the wisps, Wyng's glider dove into the water.
...the voice drew her in and demanded she sacrifice herself to it...
...Wyng left the forge, knowing she would be back soon...
Wyng played every thing she remembered playing from the day before.
Wyng finally made to the island where the blessings were!
...she had successfully embroidered a celtic knot!
Knowing it was kill or be killed, Wyng plunged the dagger into the figure.
...she had never seen her mother again.
Give me your heart.
...and then the goddesses spoke...
...the goddess took the memory of the nightmare...
...Wyng looked back to see if she could go back the way she came, but the path was gone.
Returning to the theme park, Wyng tried to remember which button she had pressed...
...Wyng desperately tried to pull out of the nose dive...

Collecting those shards, bringing them to his Goddess--these actions had made him feel more whole. He felt...deeper now, as if he was almost ready to fully exist. Could he do that?

"The heir has been chosen among those eligible and will begin training proper once she comes of age."
"I am Yvette, the great Tanuki demon who doesn't give a s**t as to what you think because I'm way above that."
It'll just be you and your father from now on Yvette. Mummy is so sorry that this has happened but please be strong. For his sake and yours..."
"Do not be mistakened. This is not a gift nor some stupid sign that I'm destined for greater things in my life."
"This world is in grave danger. Come, we must gather our comrades and unite together to prevent the calamity that is nearly upon us."
No matter how many times she fell, she would pick herself up again and again so that she could eventually reach her mother who was smiling and waiting for her.
She knew not where these creatures came from, only that she had to fight in order to survive and discover more about her current self.
The blessings from the goddesses brought some measure of peace and fulfillment to her but it still was not enough.
It took her awhile to gather what she needed and before she knew it, she now had a simple spear made of brilliant gold to protect herself and her newfound friends with.
It wasn't an easy task all in all and many a times she even doubted that she would make it, but she eventually did it nonetheless when many others before her had failed and with that she claimed her victory and the blessing that came with it.

Oh the decent red scythe, that's the best moment for him.
It felt good to remember all that had been forgotten, to truly know who she was. Tori knew what she had promised and she wasn't going to go back on her word as she wanted to protect all that she cared for even if it ment forgetting again even if a little part of her didn't want to. Tori knew what must be done to which she gave Excalibur her own memories.
"I bet it was only for what I knew,"
"Ceridwen, I will become strong! Like you were and I will never forget you and what you did for me," Tori said while pouring liquor on to Ceridwen grave, like every year since coming of age.
Every book that she got her hands on were read and remembered mostly. Most people were amazed on how much she knew and told her that she was gifted. Hardly believing that she was gifted like they said even if she was just a little since she just told herself it was because of all the reading she had done.
Everyday Tori went to the training fields to practice as she was really bad using her weapon. Her weapon, Aklin was hopeful that she would get better as he taught her what he knew about fighting.
'Every step made, every choice chosen, those that travel along with you and those that have been lost are important to who you are. Never forget that my Little one.'
Twirling her chain around and letting the ball fly to only have it miss the target and laughter urped in her head as her weapon laughed at her as she had pulled the chain back to only have the ball smack onto her foot. Oh so needing all the practice in the world.
"You will do what I have told you and nothing more"
Just wanting time to stop.
Wiping her eyes as she just wanted to forget.

Howdy, partner~ I’m Kit. I’ll be in your care from now on~
He smiled as he held up her grade report. “Alaska, this is great. Keep it up.”
She rolled her neck as she stared at the lad in front of her. Eyes were narrowed as Alaska pulled back her fist and swung.
”And the class president is…Alaska Burns!” “Of course it would be Alaska.” “Captain of the basketball team.” “Perfect grades.” “She has everything.”
There had never been much for her to pack to begin with. She snapped her small suitcase shut and headed for the airport. Hunters, huh?
Her hand ran over her fresh tattoo. Alaska winced slightly, but now people would know if she ever met Nevada again. They would know Alaska was Alaska.
Adults were liars. The realization punched her in the gut. She recoiled, curling into herself and throwing up a shield.
Head down, she reluctantly grabbed her mother’s hand.
Alaska heard her name. She raised her head and looked at the transfer student.
Her face flushed red as she stared at her sketch. It was a perfect imitation of him.
He looks up and laughs. Her cheeks flush red.
Alaska climbed up the tree and looked inside. Pause. She couldn’t do that to him. She left.
She screams. “Don’t touch her!”
”Nevada! I can’t believe…!”
”Honey, you need to work harder. You need to study more.”
Pencil brushed against paper as she drew. Alaska smiled.
Her fingers brushed over the piano keys as she practiced and practiced.
Laughter. “Wow. How abusive—“ “Hmph.”
She smoothed out the crinkles in her dress. “Hold on Alaska honey, I’m almost done.”
”Nevada.” Alaska held back laughter as she answered, “Do you need something?”
She walked down the street and watched them dance. Intrigued, she stepped forward.
When Alaska woke up, her body ached. Groaning, she slid out of the pod.
”I hope you’re ready for this.” She took off her ear cuff and suddenly the familiar weight of a weapon fell into her hands.
She walked into the kitchen and stared at her father.
The warmness from touching the orbs, it made the blue-glowing heart grey figure comfortable. She decided to touch more. The Goddesses offered her purpose of her existence.
Who is the greatest in her life? Utterly her uchitels. They were so amazing. They sheltered her from all the dangers. She especially realized that when she's in danger alone. They told her what's dangerous. "Arynek, stay away from the boils. They will eat you."
She was never strong to begin in, she just knew how to hide behind someone and let them took the damage. She hated seeing others got hurt, sometimes she just braved to shoot, to protect someone she liked.
She wasn't good at fighting, but she liked singing. Uchitels always told her that her voice made them so calm and comfortable. Just like a soft lullaby.

The spotlight shone on her. Amarus felt its brilliance like a beacon; prom princess? She had won something? For some reason, it made her happy, and it made her proud.
There was nothing so terrible as facing your foes and being unable to do much of anything at all; Amarus did not intend for that to happen. She stood before the Queen, alongside a team she'd met, and tried very hard not to damage her dress, as per Freya's request.
No matter what happened, the bond between them should remain: Amarus texted Freya and Kettil, asking them for their assistance. The strength given by the love of friends.
"I can take your worries away, I can make you sleep," she promised. She'd just have to bleed for it. But it was a gift.
Never give up, never forget. In searching for the solution, Amarus had met Na'ima: a vine with beautiful flowers twisted up, trying to latch onto her face.
Neil went feral, biting into the boxes, ripping them apart. His tail was wagging.
The punch bowl hid the once-functioning electronic device she had used to keep in touch with the ones she cared about.
"What are souls?" she was trying to ask, "and is it possible that I... have one, or must I be resigned to emptiness forever?" Was there any saving her, is what she wanted to know, and she had hoped Mort would have answers.
Amarus stood there, feeling something similar to ashamed, as Sparrow tried to tell her she could not pick fights with others so casually. He had called it "cathartic release," as if it was a bad thing.
The writing implement jabbed into Amarus' stomach, and she watched it, faintly in shock. Ricci.
"Ah! See, everything is good now, Amarus!"
She heard Freya's voice, "Is just recently I decided teh says yes for once, hah!" Amarus felt a sense of elation, for her dear friend.
" Soul kinda . . . is there? Is like . . . Battery! Like battery." Watt was still missing, somewhere.
She tried to focus on the screen, on the text message, to decipher it. In the memory, she couldn't, at first: Who could ever love her? She couldn't love anyone else, certainly.
In another time, and another place, Amarus stood in the Area and watched the light glint off her needle-thin claws.
EXTREME CUPCAKES, Amarus heard, or something along those lines-- she was busy trying to show Xiu her handiwork.
Amarus watched as Olivia hurled a rock at the Insanity Phoenix, striking it once-- she felt an immense sense of pride, in that moment.
We loves yeh too! ... and Amarus felt it, the love that took over her whole life in that moment: Kettil and Freya were there for her. They were there to keep her safe when she could not do it alone.
She was sitting in a tower, being asked to go to Scarentines-- someone wanted her, no one else. Zel. And she wanted to accept.
FAUSTUS, Amarus yelled, watching the paper screens of Conquest catch fire. Incense: never, ever again.

He was being recruited. Someone wanted him to be a part of them and their purpose. Despite the shadows.. no... because of the shadows, he would have a goal and people to work with. He was being chosen. But for what?
She was born to be a leader, Feng totally believed that. He trusted her to guide him and protect him as he made his way through the ranks. His mama Candace, great and powerful. Her face went blank, and then no one was there at all.
A constant voice in his head. Constant, calm, guiding. Shang the strong, always there for him with the right decision. Always there through the battles. Suddenly silent.
Weapons training. Dozens of different types of weapons. Daggers, guns, shields. Most importantly, meteor hammers. A dozen different skills. Forgotten. Sacrificed.
Laughter. Pure, strong, giving Feng hope that he wasn't as alone as he though. Solia's bright grin. The sound faded until he couldn't remember what it was like anymore.
Hours of translation. English blurring with Chinese until no words made sense. But at the end, something great. Information hard earned, for someone who needed it. But the words blurred, and he couldn't remember what he'd read.

[ Maple ]
It all flooded back to her, that life merging with this one. Things made more sense, things hurt a little more but she understood why she was here. There were so many memories spiraling in her head, but some of them she was just willing to let go.
Quote:
"YOU," she shouted, pointing dramatically at a random witch, whom she then ran up to and grabbed by the arms. "Play this game with me? Pretty please?"
"You did very well, sweet thing. Thank you for helping Demi, he really did need it." She cooed quietly to the ghoul, giving her a bright smile. "Don't cry! You were a good ghoul."
Though, she wasn't too sure about the small little jar that was passed to her. Courage and strength? She had read about such a potion before perhaps, but probably passed over thinking there would be no chance of working for her.
She looked over towards her brothers and sister as they practiced their spell work with their mother by their side, nothing was exploding and nothing was going wrong. She was not gifted with such traits apparently and only seemed to be good with sticking her nose in books.
Whoever this Maple was, Palem hoped the words helped her. If they were memories, hopefully they did. The shadow smiled and pulled the last fragment close before turning to go give them as offerings.
Like before, the drink was cold to the taste but in itself refreshing. And from it she could feel her memories shift and settle anew, rearranging themselves to make "more" sense.
Quote:
There was not much left of this place, being taken over by decay and rot and what might have been crumbling buildings. It was hauntingly pretty really, from what she could gather as she stepped into the new place. Different than the last. Scenic maybe.
She always felt like a scavenger, firing one single pathetic shot from the back and then scurrying away after picking up loot.
She let out a squeak when the arms came around her, unsure of how to react. But it felt nice and it felt like it was rejuvenating her.
She felt a rush and warmth within her core. Filling her with purpose and almost as if making her so close to whole. She felt... solid as the wave left her, featured.
The first tear took the last remaining breath right out of her in a gurgled gasp. The pain sharp. The second simply released a fresh set of silent tears down her face. She couldn't even ask why. Simply fell on the ground below her, the last images flashing before her eyes as it held her beating blue heart in one hand and a pair of rusted scissors in the other.
All she seemed to ever do is run into the cats that said 'hello.'
There was something familiar about the boy, and she hoped she would be able to run into him again sometime.
She just has to practice, that's that they told her. Practice and she could get better.
Gripping the gun felt awkward, she tried to shift it a little before she fired another shot.
The pole arm felt more familiar in her grip, like it was a better extension of herself then the gun could have ever been.
The top. She had made it. Palem wanted to lay down the instant she was there, relieved and so happy.
The pink jar so far hadn't lead her astray so she chose the pink cup and sipped.
Some of the memories she would be sad to see go, they had filled her with hope. But those too, along with the bad, drifted away from her leaving her with a gentle smile on her face.
"This was the very first book I read, same as your grandmother and before her. Our first spell book. From here you will learn," she was told, her eyes wide and excited. "All these books are for you to learn, you'll be an amazing witch yet."
No one tried to comfort her as she finally gave in and fell to her knees, silently crying (daring really not to let them see her tears, her anguish and wail in her defeat. She would only give them this...)
Move!
But she didn't, too unsure... to confused. Scared really to do much else. But it was too late anyways.
Amphi was right though, trying to sneak along had been terrible, they had been caught by so many guards and so maybe just taking this guy on was the best route. The girl swallowed and pulled out her weapon, her own one she had finally managed to obtain. And found.... she had a broom instead.
