The arena began to catch fire, the snapping sound of silk webs breaking seemed to follow Hana, and every turn had another furious pokemon firing off an attack. She was lost and alone in the thick mess of sticky webs. How long was this horrible exercise?! Azurill couldn't do much more in its current state of exhaustion, and Hana's own adrenalin was running out. It was a line or string shot nearer to the ground that finally got her. She tripped; her foot caught and tangled the moment she tried to shake it off. Stray flames crept overhead and ate through the silk structures and swung down. Azurill hopped into action with its scald, cooling most of it to smolder. Though... it lost power with azurill's tired state; and the firey swing slammed it back before bouncing off and onto Hana. She screamed out in absolute pain, trying to shield herself withe her hands and not strong enough to push it all the way back.
Lél looked back at the noise from within the tunnel. Vern was outnumbered with venom packed pokemon. "Elek," He motioned sternly for his pokemon to crawl in quickly. "Sár Felvetel!" The crab pokemon blasted out mud to shoo away the wild pokemon in aide of torkoal. Lel looked to his roommate approvingly. At the very least, he knew he could rely on Vern. The hail let up, but an awful burning smell began to creep around the arena. Considering Lel's smoking habit, for it to smell bad to him was probably less pleasant to anyone else. He tapped on Vern's shoulder, motioning for them to get out of their shelter. Just as soon as they thought they found safety, another probable danger was invading. Then there was that horrible scream--Hana's scream!
Fire? Burning webs? s**t! Lel did not have to tell Vern twice to get out of that tunnel. Vern's Torkoal, however, was still trying to fight off the horde of Pokémon, alongside Lel's Krabby, spinning around and around and around repeatedly with constant Rapid Spin attacks. She had been given strict instructions to not use and fire-type attacks, so she used Rapid Spin and Skull Bash as much as possible.
Then someone screamed.
Vern whipped his head around to find a mass of burning webs headed straight towards a frightened little Japanese girl: Hana. "Lavenia! Protect!" Vern barked out his order without even thinking. In a split second -or less- Vern's Torkoal had flung herself in a Rapid Spin towards the burning web. As soon as the furnance-tortoise was in front of the screaming girl, a glowing white forcefield appeared and surrounded the both of them. The fiery web clung to the sides of the impenetrable barrier, crackling and sizzling; through it all, Hana was safe. "Good job, Lavenia!" But then came another problem, the horde of bugs was still surrounding he and Lel!
"F*** my life." He grumbled, realizing his predicament. If only he had Vilna with him, then his Graveler would be able to just smash/squish all these horrible, pissed off bugs, to smithereens. As soon as Hana was deemed "safe", Lavenia let the burning web burn to ashes inside of the furnance on her back, then came back over to Vern and Lel.
"Skull Bash!" Vern barked out another order, directed at an Ariados coming straight towards them with its Venoshock.
Lyra looked at the time and the chaos below, debating on when she should act. "Tigan," the jolteon look up at her. "I think it's time to let 'em loose. Rain dance." The electric pokemon trotted and danced, thickening the clouds and calling up rain to douse out the fires and help wash the webs. "Aim you shadow ball. Just give the kiddos enough space and time to get themselves out. We'll get the pokemon out later." She gave off a wink, and her her pokemon barked up happily. A careful and steady aim shooed away various pokemon and cut through string shot structures like butter. "Alright sponge cakes! You can leave! Next week's lesson, I'll advise you bring a jacket. Or eight! We'll be going over hypothermia--Heeheehee!" She cackled as she dismissed the class, unlocking the gates and watching to make sure the wildlings didn't get out to cause trouble. "See ya later munchins!"
Hana whimpered and cried from behind Vern's torkoal, tucking in and fidgeting with her hands, her arm, and a small part of her cheek. She curled up in pain, weeping. She was burned across her hands, across her left arm, and beside her left ear. Burned. "Sore ga itai! Itai...! Itai!" She kept crying. "Keliikoa kun! Itai! Itai!" She kept weeping. Azurill looked at her helplessly, all its power sapped and with no idea on how to help. "Sore ga itai! Itai!!"
Lel dashed in a flat out run towards the torkoal and screaming girl. He didn't say anything. He just picked her up. She felt limp--like a dying deer--but light. Given her tiny size, that wasn't much surprise. He could probably have carried her in a single arm if it wasn't for the simple fact that he didn't know if she was hurt worse than he saw. He stopped in front of Vern, Hana crying in his arms, and jerked his head to the side, "Noorse? Dohk? Vhere?" He asked. He hadn't been by the infirmary wing, and time was against him (or anyone else hurt).
Yukira barely had time to react nor did Quilava as most of the structure was torn down in a instant by the teacher. Inside this killed Yukira a little, she was so useless. she barely even heard what the teacher said for next lesion and returned Quilava to her poke ball. sighing she headed for the exit as quick as she could. She needed to change to her normal school clothes before heading to her next lesson 'history' well Mythology but same fish different kettle Yukria thought to herself. Heading back to her dorm for a quick clean up and change she headed back to her next class.

Tojuro leg was caught in a web and brought up side down. It was just him and iris and honestly he had no idea what was going on. Once he and iris were pulled down he herd a familiar voice and wanted to, well barf at what he said. But for now he have to deal with it since it was either spiders or jason and he rather not be poisoned.
As he listened to jason and devin talk, devin was... Well smart as hell since he confused tojuro and riolu. As devin gave the plan on what to do all tojuro and riolu did was look at each other with raised eye brows wondering what was going on. Long plans and bad scenarios did not mix all that well with tojuro.
How ever before they could actually do anything it began to rain and he herd the teacher and ran off before that window closed. As tojuro stayed out of the arena along with the hole class he spoke in a slightly tired yet not tired tone "Well, im off to my next class. If you guys need me after first optional class, i'll probably be in the lunch room working on my project." he chuckled a bit as he walk off and turned around and look at the three.
"Maybe i'll make you something special." Tojuro said in a kind tone but he didn't make it clear on who he was talking to, jason, iris or devin. Only tojuro would know as he ran off in a hurry with riolu on his shoulder.
Lydia squeaked as she fell free, her stomach turning over in her gut until something took her off course and brought her to the ground more safely. "Huh?" She looked up. "A hitmonlee?" She blinked. Watching it go back to its trainer, she was even more confused. Though, questions would wait while Luna clung to Lydia's leg and cried. It's leg was red and sore looking, probably having a bad encounter with one of the bug pokemon.
Before she knew it (and could really do anything productive), class came to a screeching halt. Cries and screams were heard all around the arena, but what Caught Lydia's attention was Lel's mad dash over to someone. He didn't look in the best of shape, all bruised up, but what got her running was the sight of Hana--a crying and burned mess. "Oh no!" She ran over. "Lel! She has to go to the infirmary!" Her voice became urgent, barely noticing that her teddiursa still managed to be clumsy enough to get stuck in fine threads of web. "It's this way! Hurry up!" She commanded. Something she'd regret later when she realized that she tried to command on of the biggest guys in the school. A quick recall of her pokemon and she ran in the direction to lead on, lookingback only to make sure they would follow. [exit to infirmary]
Vern walked into the battle arena, rubbing his eyes still a little and drinking some black tea he'd made earlier. Class was an hour or so from now, but he'd gotten up earlier at Lel's request to have a battle. It was hard to argue with a guy almost the size of his tankish father, and could pummel his face into the ground with one foot if he wanted to. Besides, he hadn't really had a chance to test out Valene as a Haxorus yet, so now was the perfect opportunity! Rubbing his black hair, he yawned a little, then downed the last of his caffeine. He would be awake very soon. Give it about two more minutes for the chemicals to kick in and he'd be more than awake... especially since he didn't drink caffeine very often.
"You said you wanted to battle right?" He placed a hand on his waist, leaning on the other side. "Double battle, was it?" Vern asked, more just for confirmation towards what battle plan he should try. "Awesome, 'cuz I need to train my Shieldon that I got from last year's fossil dig. Poor girl, had to stay at my parents' house while the day-care was filled up." He picked up his Pokeball and Heavyball, looking pretty sorry about leaving behind his Shieldon for so long, especially in the company of his father.
"Valene, Shirudo, girls, I need your assistances!" Vern tossed the two pokeballs into the air, and two beams of redlight created two vastly different shapes. One of a ginormous dragon, and the other of his tiny little Shieldon.
Vern smirked a little at Lel. The guy had never battled him before, and the young man could admit to himself that he probably didn't look very intimidating. "Challenger goes first."
Lél smiled as he watched Vern come in. Already in his gym cloths, he rolled up his pack of cigarettes in his sleeve (reminding himself to get more later in the day) and put out his nearly finished one in his mouth. He stomped it out, nodding his head eagerly. "Lasht battle, Elek gut out too shoon.," He explained, holding up his krabby in one massive hand. "It needz to learn," He finished, setting it down and calling out his precious Miksa to take his second spot.
Looking at the pair Vern had chosen, Lél's smile intensified. He'd been wanting to fight that dragon, plated in hard armored skin. And with the given move, he didn't waste time. "Miksa! Flame Vheel!" The dog pokemon instantly curled up its muscular body and charged in at shieldon. "Elek! Mud Shot!" The smaller krabby aimed and fired off at the larger, clad dragon. The battle had begun!
It was strange seeing the Hot Hungarian Hunk smiling, almost giddy with excitement actually! He almost felt bad that Valene was level fifty-one against his Growlithe and Krabby. Almost. Shirudo, fortunately, was closer to their levels, only two or three stronger.
Watching the first two attacks come at them, Flame Wheel on Shirudo, and Mud Shot on Haxorus, Vern's battle strategy drifted towards Misses Lyon's lessons about using status attacks to change the tide of battle. Well, Vern Lykaios Keliikoa was about to do their battle teacher proud! "Shirudo, Iron Defense and take the hit!" Vern ordered his Shieldon, especially since he knew that her speed would not be able to out run Miksa, it was time to play the defense card. Misses Lyon had mentioned on a handful of occasions, that sometimes the best offense was a good defense... Or something like that. Lucky for him, Iron Defense increased his Shieldon's defense stat by two stages, which was a lot, and Flame Wheel was a physical attack. Next was the tiny little Krabby, which was admittedly pretty damn cute, using Mud-Shot towards Valene the Haxorus.
"Valene, take the hit and use Swords Dance." Swords Dance had been one of those examples their teacher had showed them in class, and was one of the best offensive status attacks you could have on a team. Especially on physically-based Dragons. Right away, Valene's tusks and claws glowed and sharpened intensely, indicating her attack stat had risen by two stages. Vern grinned some more at his roommate, especially since the two attacks directed at them hadn't really done much. Sure, Flame Wheel was super effective, but taking Iron Defense into account... Well, the math was pretty easy to solve. "Misses Lyon is right, stat attacks are great!"
"Megyünk!" Lél accidentally let slip out. Still, both pokemon pursued their opponents, keeping the rampage of attacks. "Elek! Svich!" he called for his water type to change its target. "Miksa! Back!" The water type stopped, taking a moment to think before registering its order. Lél wasn't a fool, well aware of the change in his opponent's status. The problem was that he didn't have something to counterbalance it, and had to change over his strategy. Teaming up for one at a time might be a better plan. With Elek's attack in the front, and Miksa's attack in the back, it was a better strategy. Not the best, but better--given what he had to work with.
