Through his wandering, Kaje found himself at the bottom of the cliffs (how did that happen?) and looked up, the fog obscuring his view, and the roar of the waterfall was near deafening. He didn't know why, but he had an urge to climb.
Starting to climb up some of the paths, his foot had broke through one of them, and he frowned, trying to keep his balance while prying it out. What a hazardous place.

With some effort, he had made it to the top, panting slightly. Had that shadow also followed? He placed a hand on his chest to catch his breath, and noticed that there was something resting against it. This was... Fingers brushed over the glowing pendant curiously. Where had this come from?
Well, he didn't have time to dwell on it now, he had to move on.

She followed him to a cliff. A tall cliff with a large path. For a moment, something in her mind flickered, but it fell away like so much moondust before she could even focus on it. It...would be interesting to see what was up the hill, and that was where her friend had gone, so that was where she went.
The path was difficult, not like her home had been, but still difficult. She thought once or twice she might fall, but her feet stayed under her.
It was work, tough and difficult, but she found her way to-- A bridge. Well. It was progress.

The bridge ran across a large expanse of open air. Rhryse did not like it. The path was thin and did not look stable. Still, it was the only way to go. She had come this far...and if her friend was ahead, she didn't want to be left behind. She missed the companionship.
So, she put one foot on the bridge. Then the other. Took another careful step, then three quick ones. She paused after that, a creak stopping her in her tracks. This was a bit scarier than she had thought it would be. But it was too late to turn back. Forward. Onward.
She scurried across that bridge, and she never, ever wanted to know how close it came to falling away beneath her feet.

Nush was back, ready to face these cliffs once more. He wasn't willing to let them defeat him. His beginning was a little rough, as he managed to get a foot stuck in the rickety wood that these scaffoldings were made of. Furrowing his brow, he jerked his foot out and shook his head.

The sudden movement apparently shifted something above as a rock came tumbling down and smacked him in the shoulder. Letting out a hiss of pain, he glared upwards. No. That was probably the doing of the harpies more than anything.
