Adrian chuckled, mildly amused at her slightly embarrassed tone. He doubted she realized he had been teasing her rather than chastising her. He took a deep breath as he pressed his hands on the trunk and pushed, feeling the vehicle start moving slowly but surely; he knew due to the road going downhill it would likely accelerate, though he didn't intend for it to go out of control.

Lillian poked her head out, though didn't mind it because her hair was already dripping from just standing out beside her broken down car, and she asked, "I was wondering, since this is downhill, should I tap the breaks if you feel that it's moving too fast for you? Just let me know and I'll tap the breaks but not before, I promise." She did not want to do anything that would make it harder on Adrian to move the car, but she had to be sure that it did not get out of his control.

Adrian tilted his head. "I'll let you know when it gets going too fast, though it isn't at the moment, fortunately," he said with a small smile. "Too bad we didn't get shampoo or something... save the trouble of using a shower and just use nature's version," he joked as they got a third of the way down the hill, rolling slowly but steadily.

Lillian still had her head out of the window and was alternately looking from Adrian and the road ahead of her. "Ok. I'll be sure to pay attention if you say that it's going too fast for you." she said before hearing the rest of Adrian's statement. Her face turned a bit red and she said, "I don't think that I could... I mean even if I wear my swimsuit I don't think that I'd feel too comfortable with that... Plus it could be dangerous if we're out with all the lightning, if it keeps up that is."
She quickly pulled her head in, hoping that her red face may have gone unnoticed, though seeing as she was looking at Adrian the whole time that she was speaking she thought that it was almost inevitable that the blush was seen; unless Adrian hadn't actually been looking.

Adrian heard Lillian, but didn't see her blush. "I'm just kidding, though I hear that people in Alaska actually do that," he said with amusement. He knew that was far from where they were in southeastern Colorado.

Lillian was a bit relieved that Adrian had been kidding about what he had said, though she was still blushing somewhat. "Well, people in Alaska can just shower in the rain all they like, though I refuse to do it. I'm afraid that I'd catch a cold and I dislike getting sick. Even if it's only a cold." she said before pulling her head back into her car. She thought that it was insane to even consider showering in the rain and then doing it in the rain, in Alaska, would be even more so.

Adrian cocked his head. "I bet you'd look cute regardless of whether you're sick or well," he said honestly, half amused. As he spoke he stepped in a puddle and yelped as he went in up to just above his shoulders.

Lillian Heard Adrian speaking and she felt her face turning redder. She didn't know why he said what he did, he didn't even know her and he was saying that he thought that she'd be cute sick or no? She figured that that it had to be that he was just not used to talking to people and wasn't sure what to say and what not to say. 'Yeah... That has to be it...' she thought. She knew that she was a pretty girl, though she never really paid much mind to it and for the most part she never did anything to her appearance. She never even wore lipgloss because her dad would yell every time that he caught her lips being even the slightest bit glossy. It was true that her dad paid too much attention to detail and was way too controlling, though he thought that he was only looking out for her best interests and not being controlling at all.
As she mused to herself she heard Adrian yelp and that made Lillian stick her head out the window and look back. "Are you all right...?" she asked, her voice sounding a bit flustered from her thoughts.

Adrian lifted his hands and forearms up out of the water, jerking himself up before he gasped, cursing under his breath in an odd and nearly lost language. "Jelä keje terád, I'm a bit stuck... seems there's a broken pipe at the bottom of whatever this is," he said loudly, keeping his knowledge to himself; he wasn't going to reveal that he was unusual in that he had knowledge of a highly ancient race and was adopted into their race though he wasn't technically one of them. I can't tell her that I'm a freak among them... I know their language like the back of my hand and can heal extremely fast on top of being inhumanly strong and agile, but... I'm just as human as anyone else, he thought.

Lillian was waiting for Adrian to say if he was all right and when she heard him speaking she almost panicked after hearing him say that he was a bit stuck. "Is there anything that I can do...? I could go for help, though I don't want to just leave you here..." she said as she pulled her head back into her car, only to open the door to get out. She knew that she had to do something and she was ready to sprint to her home or one of her neighbors' houses to get someone to help if she was unable to help sufficiantly.

Adrian cocked his head slightly, mildly impressed that she wanted to help. "Set the parking brake, then come over here," he said as he took a deep breath before ducking beneath the puddle as it began to overflow partly from his movements and partly because the pipe his foot was currently stuck in was a water main. Beneath the water, his eyes glowed slightly as he shifted his foot, wincing slightly as he inhaled slightly, catching a foul scent in the water he realized was gasoline before his foot popped free, leaving the sandal behind still embedded in the hole partially plugging it up. He surfaced, coughing as he winced, feeling the gasoline making his new cuts burn on his calf just above his ankle. "I managed to get my foot free, but when we get inside I'll have to dry off, then warn someone about the pipe since I think that it may be a water main, since I could feel the water moving past me and there may also be a gas leak of some kind; I could smell it in the water," he said as he planted one hand on the edge of the hole, though he was mildly surprised to feel it break beneath even his light touch. "Köd," he whispered, cursing as he realized that the hole and the road near it was about to give way. "Get the car to the house!!" he snapped as he caught the edge of the hole opposite from her, ignoring that it crumbled beneath his touch before he jerked himself up and out of it as the asphalt for four inches around the 'puddle', now a growing sinkhole, collapsed. Fortunately he rolled quickly, teeth gritted against his aching ankle, to evade the collapsing asphalt as the hole began to grow. Once it was six inches in diameter, it seemed to stop.

Lillian heard Adrian's instructions and she did as she was told, setting the parking brake and getting out of the car. She headed to the rear of the car and was thinking of trying to push it, though she wasn't sure she'd be strong enough. She was a really fit girl, from swimming, but she was not a body builder and had never been one to lift or push things that were really heavy. Seeing Adrian ducking under the water Lillian watched with watchful eyes, just in case there was a chance that she needed to pull him from the water. However, when she saw him come back up she let out a faint sigh. "I think that father may be able to get something done about that, though daddy may contact the owners of this house about it... Wait... there's gasoline in the water...? Do you think that it could be my car? Or something else?" she asked before she heard Adrian saying to get the car to the house.
She was a bit alarmed by his tone and she moved to the back of the car, yet stopped as she realized that the road seemed to be giving way. She jumped back, almost like a cat would and she looked over to Adrian with wide eyes. "I think I'll just leave the car here... I don't even want to risk falling into a sinkhole or making it worse... And you should probably get that cleaned up." she said, pointing at Adrian's ankle, before mumbling something about being glad it was the junky car and not her blue ferrari she had gotten for her sixteenth birthday.

Adrian exhaled. "It definitely isn't your car with a fuel leak; the gas was bubbling up from beneath the water," he said with a sigh, ignoring the fact that they were getting soaked by the rain. He glanced down at his ankle, which was bleeding sluggishly. "I don't think it's too bad, fortunately... probably only a few scrapes thanks to the hardened leather of the sandals," he said with a shrug.

Lillian looked at her car and then to her house. She wanted to get her car home, though she just did not want to have to push it the whole way and she couldn't, no, she wouldn't ask Adrian to push it if his ankle was hurt. "Maybe we can just get someone else to get ther car home...? I don't think that I will be able to move it very much and I couldn't ask you to help move it if your ankle is hurt. Even if it's only a little." she said as she looked up, letting the rain drizzle on her face. She knew that she'd probably end up getting into trouble for letting the car break down, even if it wasn't her fault and for taking in a 'friend' without saying that she was going to be having anyone over. "Hopefully daddy'll be nice for once and not blow up about this... I swear if I didn't know better I'd think that he thinks that I'm a screw up..." she mumbled. "Though it could be that he's just so wrapped up in work, is stressed out and is taking it out on everyone and everything around him..."

Adrian shrugged as he shifted his weight, pushing the car with his shoulder so that it started rolling down the hill slowly before coming to a stop just shy of Lillian's driveway. "Pain is a part of life; it's only when we stop feeling pain we should start worrying. As for your father... I don't know much about him," he said with a shrug as he started walking towards the house, noticing that there was another car he didn't recognize, assuming it was Lillian's mother.
