Humans.
Argos snorted at their sudden interruption, abandoning his banter to follow the trail of creatures all crawling forward for rewards with his eyes. It was as though they were a flock and these insolent beings were there to sate the hunger. Unfortunately, they weren't trying to feed him Kip, and that was about the only thing he could be persuaded to being interested in at that very moment. Still, the more the merrier.
Or something like that.
The large dragon followed after, bending his head down once he was close enough that he could stare at the humans all flopping over themselves to pet the smaller creatures - like Fluffy. Embers crackled between his teeth, setting off a warm glow in the hollow of his throat when he opened it to rumble quietly.
<You're being beaten by a dog.> He announced in wry amusement, turning his attention skyward to Kip. <Poor birdbrain. Not all that interesting after all.> The dragons lip curled, embers crackling out from between the maw and turned his head downwards again, pushing his snout against the back of one of the handlers.
If they were here, they would at least feed him. Quote: Name: Argos. Species: Red Dragon. Physical Description: Large, heavyweight dragon. Argos's scales are dark red with a black underbelly, and his wings, tail, and forelegs are all spotted through with dark green patches. His horns are large and curved with smaller, less prominent ones surrounding them, big enough that when he sleeps, birds and other creatures can pretty much perch there. (search red dragon on dA for ideas hahaha /lazy) Brief Character Profile: Perpetually ill-tempered, lazy, territorial, vain, possessive, and protective. He doesn't like being disturbed, but even when he is, he is either too sluggish to do anything about it, or he's half-hearted in his attempts to get back at whatever has caused him grief. poke mattix hi barry your dragon wants food neutral

Humans.
There were always humans. Perhaps they should have been something he was excited about. Maybe they should have been something he was indifferent about.
But instead the Nue sat crouched, staring at the new group passing by with a small bare of his teeth. The gesture only lasted a few minutes, however, before he yawned, sniffled, and then settled in, continuing to watch them with more interest than he himself would ever be looked at.Quote: Name: Sheng Species: Nue Park Location: Monster Mountain Physical Description: Face of a Baboon, body of a golden tiger, and a rainbow boa for a tail. It's recommended that you wear a mask around them because Nues tend to make people sick.Brief Character Profile: Sheng is a sickly thing, constantly coughing or sneezing, but seems to be apologetic enough for it. Sometimes. However, sometimes out of spite he might try to get you sick on purpose.....

Kip's feathers ruffled more at Argos' snide remarks. He didn't want attention. He just wanted the snacks and he wasn't getting any.
:Stupid Argos! Big stupid dragon with tree dropping sized brain.: He puffed his chest out and waddled across the top of the SUV, making soft clicking noises, before he slid down the windshield and onto the hood of the vehicle. Where he remained, with feathers set to maximum poof, and sulked.

While Fluffy was busy searching for food, he wasn't too busy to hear the remark about being called a dog. Again. HE WAS NOT DRAGON FOOD! But he did win.
[Right, Cerberus are much better at getting snacks than birdbrains!] He gave Kip's sulking figure a quick look before returning to his rooting for more snacks. Because one meant more.
They always had more.Quote: Name: Fluffy Species: Cerberus Physical Description: Large wild looking black dog. On all fours comes to around the shoulder height of an average to tall height of a man. "Bloody hell..." Was all Barry could say at first, but he was sure he would be able to come up with a few inventive ways to curse in a few moments as he saw the Basilisk was attracted to the bright light of the camera. "Hey, hey come back here, nothing to worry about there-" He started off to try and get it's attention back to him and not a possible meal, but things just began to snowball quickly. The cerebus was approaching the vehicle now too. Though at the moment they weren't being aggressive, a small blessing. With Zane having snuck up behind him, the handler nearly jumped out of his skin. Oh yea, thats right, they could move about to. "Umm, ah, well." He coughed to give him a few precious seconds to answer the question while he watched every beast decide the cars were just so interesting. "The park is open to people of all ages, but we wont be letting children anywhere near these guys. For safely reasons, obviously." In actual fact he was thanking Zane for bringing up such a good point, one he was going to press at the next staff meeting. Not to mention others, such as taking the flash of all cameras in the park. "Well also make sure children will be supervised at all times-." He didn't get to finish, as all sights were on the large dragon approaching him and Zane. Nope, not enough swear words to cover this. His gaze racked over Tavast's posture, his lowered neck. He tried to think of what animal would make such a posture- ah, elephant. Usually when they were about to charge. But he wasn't. Maybe a defensive posture? "Easssy there big fella." Barry had his hands up as he tried to coax the dragon into being a little less angry. "We didn't mean to disturb ya. No need to get upset." He of course tried to keep the dragon between himself and Zane, though with his big head this was nearly a impossible task. Thankfully Rin came over to distract him too. Damn, she was gutsy. Walking up to a dragon and telling him to back off. And he actually did. Barry was gobsmacked at how the dragon laid down as in defeat. She just...wow. He needed to put in a good word. Seriously. "You just saved our backsides." He muttered under his breath to Rin, his hand at his belt as he went to pick out something good and rewarding. More pellets, and a nice chunk of raw chicken. "There you go, easy there." He dropped the food in front of Tavast. "Thats a good dragon. Good, good..." And then he felt a nudge at his back, and he turned around to see that another dragon had approached him. He was pretty popular today, wasn't he?" "Suppose you want some tucker to, don't ya?" He kept his tone very friendly as he gave Argos some pellets and raw chicken as well, his eyes being drawn to the bright glow of fire in the dragons mouth. Oh great, this one could breath fire. Just what he needed. Carefully he placed the food in front of the red dragon, watching him carefully and hoping....Hoping to whatever deity would listen to him the dragon wouldn't decide to incinerate them. But then, at least he would have nothing to worry about. Since he'd be dead. But, while Zane and the others were about, he might as well explain what these were. "Now, these fine fellows here are what we like to call, dragons!" No s**t sherlock. "Quite amazing things, really. While they appear to be giant reptiles, they are more related to mammals. Their body structure is set more like a dog or cat, allowing them much more movement then other reptiles, like the komodo dragon. They also sport six limbs, which are the four legs and the two wings. The wings themselves are structured just like a bats; with the membranes spread over all 5 digits of the bats hand, and the fingers extended, all but the thumb which can be used to hold onto uneven surfaces, like the side of a cliff." That was right...wasn't it? Zyphiris BARRY WILL PROTECT YOU..MAYBE Raja OH GOD DOES INSURANCE EVEN HAVE A WORD FOR THIS? Quote: Barry Warren: (Staff/handler) Tall guy with a Akubra hat. Wears a brown shirt and long brown pants. Has a mullet

A strange sort of screeching laugh came from Banshee as the blonde one scooted away. There was a strange exhilaration that filled her with utter joy whenever one of the tiny humans was scared. Kip joined her, and she gave him a little scowl. Stupid bird. She hated this bird so much.
Unfortunately, then one humans decided it was photo time. She shook her head, dazed and confused. Sadly, in the same movement she whipped her tail just a little too hard, knocking the birdbrain onto the ground. Once she came to her senses, she couldn't say she was displeased with the result, but an apology still had to be made. < S-Sorry, Kip. It was the human's fault. I will seek justice! >
She then leaned over and bumped her head into the humans camera. Not enough to damage, but enough to bother. He was just lucky she wasn't stealing his glasses. Though she was definitely thinking about it. Either way, his glasses were getting fogged up by the mist she constantly admitted. Frost wyrm problems.
< Argos, get him to share with me, > she demanded of the red dragon. < Or I will freeze your wings together. >Quote: Name: Banshee (given her to by keepers without ... consideration ...) Species: Frost Wyrm like black skeletal icy dragon thing idk ;_; <3 Physical Description: She's kept in half humanoid most of the time. Currently in dragon form, as picture above. Half humanoid: Black hair dip dyed blue. It's straight and drapes in front of her face something like this. She's mostly skeletal with a glowy blue core, glowy blue eyes- its a deep saturated blue. Outfit is something like this w/ blue/black color scheme. Black skin with skeletal parts. Horns, wings- dragon-y stuff. Also has a foggy fog emitting from her body just to add to general ~spookiness~. When she's not half-humanoid, she's a frost wyrm, as pictured above. Brief Character Profile: Banshee has a very strong sense of justice. She's very calculated, often thinking in percents and proportions. She has a really strong sense of what's right and what's wrong she is the law. She's relatively friendly, but can be somewhat stagnant to interact with. She likes technology and other things she can take apart and put back together. Has a hard time breaking out of her shell, but not neccessarily unfriendly. A speaks-when-spoken-to sort of person.

Argos snorted at Barry's reaction, blowing long curls of steam from his nostrils and straight into the mans face. If it felt as though the temperature had just risen a few degrees... well at least he knew why. The dragon consumed his offerings in one huge swallow, blowing embers out of his mouth in appreciation of the food, long talons digging into the ground and marring the soil. That was much better. But still not enough.
The man that had fed him was babbling now, but babbling about what he did not bother to try and understand. If it was important - well, but it wasn't. He pushed his muzzle forward as Barry continued to speak, knocking into the other and snorting into his hair and all over his clothes. Where was the food? Talk was boring, and that was at best a tiny morsel of a bigger meal. Where were the cows? The deer? Where was something big and crunchy and worth hunting? Did they think they could snuff out his interest in running prey just by feeding him pellets.
Letting out a low sound like embers crackling and irritation, Argos swung his head and pushed it into Zane's body instead. Maybe this one had more food.
This was only stopped once Banshee's voice entered his head again, and Argos reared up, embers crackling at his mouth. <Banshee! What have you done to my bird?>
Exhaling, he leaned over, caught his teeth carefully in Barry's shirt, and picked him bodily off the ground before dropping him at Banshee's feet. <Here. Make him feed you.> He snorted, pushing Zane bodily over with his snout as well. <And I will melt you if you try.>
Satisfied that he had pleased the frost wyrms demands, he swung his head to Kip.
<Are you playing dead?> Irritation swelled in his tone.
<Kip.>
When he got no response, he leaned over and picked the harpy up in his teeth and rolled him over on his tongue, clamping down gently so that only the lower part of Kip's body dangled from his maw, the rest being slimed over by dragon breath and steam.
<Wake up or I will eat you.>

There was no talking from Kip. Just the sudden realization that, no the sun didn't just fall out of the sky, but he was in Argos' mouth.
At first his only reaction was to go completely still--more than he already had been. But shortly after his feet flailed about, wildly trying to free his upper body, until he caught hold of the red dragon's lip with his feet and yanked on it.

When Barry gave him the trifle of food he devoured it hungrily - then looked up at the man expectantly. He should know by now that wasn't near enough. He was with Argos - where was the good prey the kind that ran and tasted all the better as it screamed and kicked and thrashed as he ended its life... He rumbled a laugh as Argos lifted up Barry and brought him over to Banshee. Rising slowly he watched the Red Dragon with interest and then snorted. < Good show!> He could approve of the other Dragon. Between the two of them they might even manage to get the handlers to properly feed them. When he started to mouth the harpy, he sank on his haunches and roared with laughter. < Eat it! Yes, Eat the bird!> Quote: Name: Tavast Species: Obsidian Dragon Park Location: Monster Mountain Physical Description: He looks pretty much like this: DRAGON! He's about 15 feet tall from ground to horn tip. Wing span is about 30 feet, and is about 20 feet from snout to tail. Brief Character Profile: Tavast is a very laid back - if curious dragon. Though honestly, he's more likely going to spend his time sunning himself near the crater lake or singing to the stones to build himself a proper den. He has more interest in other creatures than humans however, but will watch humans from a distance as long as they don't approach.

"Now another interesting fact about these dragons, is of course their ability to breathe fire." Barry said as he whipped his face with a hand - gee, it was getting pretty warm here- as he continued on. "From the hours of research we've done, it's believe that the dragons are able to do this by- woah, woah, steady!" It seemed that the small morsel of food he had given the red dragon hadn't placated his appetite, and he was nosing around for some more. "Are you still hungry?" He forced a laugh, trying his dam hardest to pretend this was a everyday occurrence and - Oh s**t what the bloody hell was going over near the car. Inwardly he was wondering where the other handlers were. He could only do so much by himself, and the Wyrm was getting far to close for comfort to the guests. Oh, and the Harpy had been knocked over. ....He'd get to that. Eventually. "Hey - hey Don't bump the camera!" the hander called out, but was forced to look back at the dragon who had reared up. "W-woah calm down there mate!" He stepped back to try and search for something to calm the animal down, but instead, he had a lovely view of the dragon's teeth, and felt his feet leave the ground as he was literally, picked up. Barry could of sworn his heart was going to leap out of his chest as he saw the ground move away at a startling rate. s**t, he really as screwed, wasn't he. With shaky hands he went to grab the remote bucked in, but just as quick as it happened, he was dropped. In front of the wyvm no less. A little shaken up he looked back at Argos, who was now trying to move Zane. He was starting to wish he had been eaten at this point. "No! No he doesn't have any food for you!" He jumped and waved trying to get Argo's attention. Of course the original dragon was back again, wanting some food, too. Inwardly his concerns grew at just how much these dragons could really eat. He had already feed them this morning, not to mention the other handlers might had feed them again, And they were being fed now...Seriously, he was going to have a word to the higher ups about this. Hurriedly he pulled out more raw chicken and pellets, throwing them to the wyvren as he turned and saw the dragon was trying to eat - Okay ******** everything. "OY! BAD DRAGON! BAD!" He made a mad dash for the red dragon while he shouted. "PUT DOWN THE BIRD. YES, PUT IT DOWN OR YOU WONT GET ANY MORE TREATS, YA HEAR ME?" He had a hand on the remote as he ran, but he needed to make a attempt to to calm down the animals without resorting to force. Because if he didn't, he was gonna be up the creek.

Another SUV drove up - and almost hit a tree. The driver was clearly a clear headed and capable staff member. "UH." s**t. She pulled her hands off the wheel as she stopped the SUV, and took a deep breath. "We're here, Monster Mountain. Eeeverybody out." She unlocked the doors, and hopped out, to hold one of the back doors open. It looked like other tour groups were here, which meant the monsters were already out to play. Good, the easier the better. There was no food on this human. Life. Sucked. He sucked. Fluffy might or might not have knocked Ian over in his searching, but he was done. This thing had nothing else he wanted. No amount of scritches would make up for not having proper snackums. [BOOOO!] He pranced off from the human with a bit of a sharp bark to offer for his annoyance, tail slashing back and forth angrily as he stared at what had happened while h was busy frisking the guest.
Kip was being eaten, handler was freaking and... NEW CAR! NEW FOOD!
Fluffy scampered over at full speed at that point as soon as the door opened and happily shoved his head in the first open door, tail wagging and panting a bit like an over excited dog. [DID YOU BRING ME SNACKS?] And this was the greeting those guests got.

He saw that heart, Mel. Oh yes he did. It had him grinning perhaps a little wider then the situation warranted while he spoke with their group of unicorns. of course his attention jerked around the driver of their car real damn fast when it suddenly lurched towards a tree. Hazel eyes wide, he stared at Melanie as she pulled the car to a smoother then necessary stop and removed her hands from the wheel with care. He then continued to stare as she announced they had arrived at their location and then exited the car. At this point his brows lowered, lips twisting into a thoughtful frown, and stepped out of the car as well. Quickly walking around it, he gave the handler a pointed look before hitching a charming smile back onto his face for the guests as they shuffled out as well. "Welcome to Monster Mountain! Here you'll find all manner of great beasts, including, but not limited to, dragons of all shapes and sizes. A Big foot, and a giant gelatinous cube." The smile widened into a full fledged grin. "There's a visitors center if anyone is hungry, tired, or needs to take a pit stop," he offered, pointing towards the building not too far off. "But, if everyones ready now, we can just proceed with our tour and begin seeing some amazing wonders." Speaking of, their resident cerebus had come bounding towards them. "Ah, may I introduce you all to Fluffy?" He made a sweeping gesture with his arm to indicate the great beast of a three headed dog.

Les' look got a sheepish grin from Melanie, and a shrug. Who can say why she suddenly almost killed everyone? ~It was a mystery~. As Les introduced the mountain in his smooth, tour guidey voice, Melanie watched for approaching monsters, which was why when Fluffy stuck his great big head into the door, she leaned forward and put her arm around his neck. She made a hissing sound with her teeth, to call attention to herself, and rubbed behind his ears. "Fluffy. Hhhhsst. Look at Mel, Fluffy. Be a good boy now, show the new people what a good boy you are. Can you sit for me boy? Come on, sit Fluffy. Sit!"
