"Anytime," Evan replied to Stormy as the huntress expressed her gratitude. The knowledge that he had been useful at all made the laser grids and crawling through vents and taking bullets for the team all worth it. It brought a hesitant smile to his face.

Until Ami decided to use him as a pack mule.

/AHAHAHahahahahahaha heeeeeee she just called you fat~/ Gir cackled in Evan's mind as Evan accepted the Codex.

This is all muscle, mutt, Evan thought back even as he slouched a little. He really wasn't that big, he thought, but Ami was just so, so tiny. "Yes, Ma'am," he grumbled as he shifted the Codex in his grip to hold it under one arm. He shuffled uneasily under her glare but followed the group when commanded, deciding that between more guys with guns and an angry midget leader, Ami was the lesser of the two evils. Probably.

Evan paused as Ami ordered them to go on ahead. "I can't just leave you here," he said, torn between following orders and a need to throw himself headlong into danger.

Personally, Evan didn't think Ami could handle two wet cats, let alone two possibly armed guards, but he was at least smart enough not to voice that opinion. It wasn't in him to leave a man--or woman--behind to face a threat alone, but she had just given him a direct order, and he couldn't disobey that, either. He frowned, but nodded. "Be careful," he said, turning towards the exit.

Pasha stumbled forward after the others under Ami's orders, moving hurriedly towards the exit. It wasn't necessarily a fight or flight response kicking in - she just didn't want to be on their leaders bad side anymore. When she got nearer to Stormy, she looked over at her, tugging somewhat blankly on Táo's ornate pin. "I don't particularly feel like a mister," She returned thoughtfully. "But I'm not quite sure I want to be miss either. Maybe we can simply settle on first names?"

She smiled and shrugged.

Escape plans were always the perfect time for small talk.

[Moving to D4]

Jake was drowning in snakes. Literally.
He ALMOST preferred the piranhas.

"Some HELP would be nice, you guys." he muttered, angering the creatures more by killing some with his weapon. It was a lose-lose situation.

Though when Stormy arrived and nearly toppled in herself, he frowned. Snakes were enough, he didn't need more stuff to deal with, like catching a certain mist trainee if she did fall in, and having TWO useless hunters stuck in a pit. Nope.

He eyed the snakes still ganging up on him.
"Some bandages would be nice too."
Too bad he didn't think of bringing any before. Good job, Jake.

Evan moved closer to the exit.

Looking around the room to make sure that nothing would up and surprising her since she didn’t want to end up in a pit of snakes that Jake had fallen into. With her back to the unicorn statue as she quietly walk forward and all that Tori heard was a twanging sound then a sharp sting to her butt. Tori eyes went wide with surprise as she held in any sound as not to bring anymore attention to herself and she knew right away to what had hit her butt.

Turning her head to see there was indeed an arrow in her butt but since it didn’t hurt all that much and glad that her Fear shield has taken most of the force. Touching it to find that it was mostly tangled up in her coat and clothing but it still hurt some but not enough to bandage and Tori dislodged the arrow from her person since she didn’t want the arrow get any deeper.

As Tori had been working the arrow free her mind wandered a little to pass events and some how her mind wandered on the topic of vines maybe it might have been because of the snakes that Jake was currently dealing with and just the mere thought of those vines Tori started to freak out along with her flapping her arms while sorta doing a little dance. Ok don’t mind Tori she just let herself get freaked out over horseman vines, nothing to see just let her calm herself down.

Tori took a few deep breaths to calm herself as she dropped the arrow to the floor since she didn’t want anything more to do with it. Alright not what she wanted to do in front of others but what’s done is done with her weapon laughing softly in the background of Tori’s mind.

Tori did smile a little at Stormy’s comment since it was true and something she was good at now days. “Well I have had worse, but I think I will deal and bandage up later on,” Tori commented back since it was always best to save them for later just in case. “Sure I can do that,” she replied on the subject of Jake needing some bandages. “I can bandage you up just, Jake,” she said to Jake while moving close to where Jake and Stormy were but she wasn't getting to close to that pit of snakes.

What was that noise? Deryk looked up and to his dismay, he saw the ceiling slowly lowering.
