((Gah, I've got band rehearsal. Assume I'm with you wherever you end up, Crim. Back around 6:40 CST))

Allem twitched as he recieved the turban. This wasn't a look he really wanted to sport. However, the fact that it was a merchants turban made something click in his mind. The orbs of light were tied to the coins.

"Flare, fly over to Owle and see if you can get her coin piece from her. And bring it back, please. Feel free to tell her about the flower bud in the Guild area, but with the ferry broken she couldn't get over here with her coin anyways.

Stryphe, Degs, we need to find the other pieces I think. Those mercenaries I'd hired seem to know something about it, so we're going to go after them. Maybe they can lead us to the others."

"I see no harm in letting the girl hang on to it for now. ...though perhaps it were better to get it away from her in the combat zone...

"Either way, you and she will need to talk, before I give the piece to you. I'll tell her to contact you mentally...and to be ready. She can get over here as well as I can; her wings are not just for show.

"Oh, and be on the lookout for people with funny hats. One's appeared on top of Owle, too."

Owle had to think a long time on what Flare had told her. Not that she had much leisure to at the moment. But while she was blind and deafened, what else could she do.

Moments later, she contacted Allen.

"One condition," she sent to him. "And I'll give you the coin. If you make it into the temple...and Flare does not...let me see what happens through your eyes."

"Fine then. Come with us, if you'd rather."

And then, motioning for Degs to follow him, Allen did in fact leave through the door. Doing his best to not pay attention to the various activities, and to not let himself be embarressed by his forced headgear. Though his blush was still obvious.

Thankfully, he made it outside quickly, with Degs trailing behind him.

And then two mental voices hit him in rapid succession, though he only saw fit to respond to Owle. And even as he gave his answer, he twitched a little. But it was the only way to get the piece without a fight, he knew.

'I agree.'

"I can move faster if I don't wait for you..." Flare replied, and jumped out the window, spreading her midnight black wings as she hit the air. Allen was in the hands of his friends; he didn't need her there to protect him. Her debt partially repaid, she felt free to go about her own business...

She would bring him the coin. But if her flight happened to take her past the Guild Sector...well, that was that.

She soon left the Gambling District, heading to the Beach or the Boardwalk or wherever would get her to the Ferry.

"Thank you," Owle responded, and that was all he heard.

Letting Degs climb into his car, Allen moved back to the alleyway, to take a look at the motorcycle there. And if he didn't know anything about cars, he at least knew how the bikes worked, and could manage to hotwire one.

Which he did, even if it took him a minute or so.

And so, climbing onto his shiny new bike and ignoring the angry yells as it's owner ran into the alley, Allen sped off towards the Boardwalk. Degs would follow.

Dae followed after them as they left because I totally told Hex that that's what he'd do if I couldn't get on in time... Evidentally Hex forgot the birdie was their new companion. xp

And before Degs would follow, Stryphe would have found a pair of scissors in the drawer of the bang-room (just in case of some sort of erotic emergency) and managed to chop his crappy hair off, leaving himself with short- extremely messy, untamed black hair. The halberd barely fit in the damn car.

Onto the boardwalk!

((Crappy post, but necessarily crappy. The catch-up game's a b***h.))

Allen came from the direction of Gambino's Mansion, moving quickly. Not quite running, nothing that urgent it seemed, but moving quickly. After all, either he had a guy chasing after him or he had to get to the temple. and he was really trying to not look too suspiscious, though it was hard when he had a glowing blue sword.

He kept his eyes open for a bike he could steal though, to speed his trip up.

And then, he saw a bike.

The exact bike he'd stolen from this area earlier. In the exact same alleyway. This was just too convenient. I mean, what the hell was that place, a spawn point?

Still. allen ran over to it and, as he'd already done this earlier, was able to hotwire it in seconds. Then, both he and the motorcycle were off, back out into the street. He had a vehicle now, and alot more speed.

Oh, and yes, he still had the glowing blue sword.

And then, since the guy chasing had to leave and the previous post was already edited, Al sped off to the Boardwalk.

Some people were to drunk to notice - some just did not care. These people really did not last long at all. The smart ones had long since started heading in the opposite direction. In the end though the really intelligent ones were already heading for the port.

It moved like a massive spider in a way. Its head and body were shaped much like an egg and lacking a neck. The lack of connection certainly did not keep it from spinning around every so often.

Blackened charcoal skin and massive azure eyes got enough screams in themselves. The giant gnashing teeth in its' seemingly endless grin got another. Honestly though it was probably the limbs. This thing's arms were far too short. They seemed near useless and just waved ever so slightly.

Though the huge dragon-esque 'wings' sticking out of its back seemed to handle this. Again and again they came down like scythes into the ground as it moved. More then once they came down right through a person. To flex all the way over its shoulder - way out of angle - and down to kill.

It moved kind of like a tank. Short dinosaur-esque legs just a bit longer then its arms - running across the ground. Overall the thing barely beat the height of three feet with body. Once you counted in those wings it seemed to hit a more even ten.
