Nyx had kept quiet though the entire thing it was not worth getting hurt over a miss understanding. When it seemed the mellon was done with its rant she spoke calmly. "Please except my humble appoligies sir I did not know who they were for they had never introduced them self's to us. I you could would you please pass my humble appoligies to the future leaders. I hope that we all can leave this miss understanding here and forgive and forget." She then looked at Astra "I think we should go to the lake." she said committing the teens names to memory.

Ah so she was not supposed to be here. she thought as she backed up. "No I do not want to be dragon food although I would like to meet a dragon one day although not in a fight." She said as she put the berries back in her bag. "I know I should not be here but the dead were really instant that I came here. If I didn't listen I would never get to sleep again." she said making sure everything was back in place before turning around and noticing the girl on her knees panting.
Sunny not caring if she would become dragon chow she ran over to the girls side and sat next to her pulling out a canteen of water. "I do not care if your dragon eats me please drink some water?" she said taking off the cap of the canteen and putting it in front of Thara so it sat up right on the ground. "I swear that I am not here to hurt you, I just want to help you so you do not end up killing your self." Sunny said in a serous voice.

If Earthmother's intention was to intimidate Ignatius, it probably failed. He seemed more fascinated instead, the words stopping their rapid tumble out of his mouth for a few moments as he let his eyes scan over what adorned her body. There were scars beyond what his eyes could easily see, and Ignatius imagined that ... those weren't the only ones. Typically, someone with that many outside scars had a lot of ones on the inside, or so his father had said. Ignatius was starting to believe it.
Still, Earthmother's suggestion was a good one. Maybe Criofan had intended his gold to be closer to Mereth Falls than Ignatius was expecting, and if the gold was over in that direction, perhaps they should head over there before Mikasi embarrassed them any further. All too easily falling to Earthmother's suggestion, perhaps an even greater sign of the fact that he was of no real threat, Ignatius turned to Mikasi to suggest that maybe they head that way... that was, before he heard Faroth's voice.
A bit surprised to see the other, he turned over his shoulder and offered a small wave, before stopping in mid-air. Wait. This was ... Earthmother?
Mikasi was just flirting with one of the greatest faunnesses of the Faun society.
Ignatius attempted not to groan in frustration.
Mikasi, though, wasn't really the type to actually listen to anyone when they were speaking, quirking a brow at the name Earthmother. What the hell kind of name was that, anyway? Who called themselves Mother of Earth? That was an awful amount of ego, wasn't it? And anyway, Mikasi was pretty positive that no woman birthed the whole of the Earth. Nor, for that matter, did he think that any woman birthed the whole of Telrunya. Too big of a place to come out of--
--Why yes, he was a fine gentleman--
--and anyway, "Earthmother? Did you birth the Earth?"
Ignatius shot a glare in the other's direction. "Don't you ever listen to Vangelis? She's very important in faun society." A pause. "I'm sorry, Earthmother." ... Again.
The quirked brow Mikasi gave in turn said such things as Vangelis talks? and Why would I listen to him, anyway? and then the knit brow that followed hinted at why he rubbed at his heart. What is repelling me?
"Perhaps I should," offered Mikasi, an attempt to be smooth as he bowed his head to the Earthmother. "I see now why you possess such grace."
Ignatius didn't understand why he flipped on a switch and if he truly thought it would get him anywhere, but he didn't have much time to sigh over it before the ... other crowd showed up. More faunnesses, a fae that reminded him somewhat of Criofan in coloration, and an angel, was it? He hadn't really met many angels despite his own heritage, outside of Takeko anyway.
So he nodded his head in greeting to the new arrivals.
The white faunness mentioned that there was an 'odd feeling in the air.' He had no idea what she meant by being drawn to come there, but he certainly noticed the other bit, as much as he wanted to stand his ground. It felt like it was slowing creeping up his spine, threatening to consume him--
"I don't know," offered Ignatius, softly, to the faun. "But I noticed that, too."

Criofan was tired.
There was a saying he heard when he was younger--early bird gets the worm or whatever it was, he didn't really remember--but he didn't particularly believe that phrase. He had done fairly well for himself and didn't necessarily get up until midday ... sometimes mid-afternoon on top of that.
He understood the point of coming to the Falls--it was, admittedly, a rather beautiful view--but how much he ached just for a nap or something. Criofan had been the last one to wake up, even after his daughter, but that still didn't seem to resolve it, and he was walking at a bit of a snail's pace, deciding to sit himself down on the grassy ground once they had gotten close enough to the Falls to make it out.
What? He didn't have to stand up to see it.
If it wasn't so damn noisy, maybe he could sleep, too. That'd be nice. Alas, it was noisy. It was incredibly noisy. The Falls were great to look at, but what he needed was some cotton or something to shove all the way into his ears and just keep there. It was impossible to enjoy how peaceful it was and take a nap with this infernal--or torrential--racket so close by. It was irritating, and the sleepy Criofan probably showed that with the flatlined expression he was giving, facial expression seemingly lessening in joy the more time went on.
Nevertheless, Kheliot and Zaria were quickly on board with this trip. Hell, it had been Kheliot's idea. As much as he didn't want to be here, it would be rude to tell them no and it would be even more ridiculous to be the only one to sit it out.
Did Ei-Kal have to lean down and shout in his ear, though?
He supposed there was little choice, but Guardians was he loud.
"It's pretty!" shouted Criofan back, certainly agreeing to that much about the view. "Too loud though!" Also, Criofan wanted to go back home and take a nap. And now that they had made it all the way out here, they'd need to make it ... all the way back. This was going to be a long day. Maybe Ei-Kal wouldn't mind Criofan sleeping until the sun was low in the sky the next day, considering he knew Zaria wasn't going to let him get any sleep during the night.
Honestly, the girl didn't even have an off switch.
But then, she wouldn't be Zaria, ooh-ing and aah-ing at everything she saw, eyes shining as she leaned down almost a little too far in an attempt to view what was over the ledge. The noise didn't bother her in the faintest bit, it seemed, but then, Zaria had little issue shouting at the top of her lungs in order to get the attention she needed.
Like now.
"KHELI!" Because calling him by his full name was too formal, Zaria had insisted, she had taken to often truncating her brother's name, leaving him with a nickname that almost sounded rather ... feminine. She didn't seem to realize this, though. "Isn't it super pretty?!" Was she trying to reach out for the water?
Zaria at least seemed to realize this much was likely a bad idea, and moved back a bit, letting herself enjoy the spray from the water instead.
She bounced on her heels a bit, unable to fully keep herself still, perhaps a reflection on the impact that the imp had her during the daytime as well. It was hard to say if she ever really slowed down except when she crashed so hard and completely that not even the imp was able to emerge to the surface, but until then she was certainly at a constant high note, energy coursing through her as she enjoyed the environment.
The woman was attempting to stay as still as possible and still ended up looking rather jittery.
"Oh!" Her eyes caught something red, and suddenly her bouncing stopped, Zaria moving closer to the Falls in an attempt to get a look at it. She leaned over the edge of the cliff face a bit, pursing her lips as she looked into the water. What would be in the water and that red? She couldn't imagine a fish that was that red, at least not that she had seen, and her father had seen a lot of fish. She had seen a lot, too, living on the beach.
Wait! She knew what that was! She loved naiad! They were always so pretty...
"Kheli, Kheli!" Attempting to get her brother's attention again, she got up and yanked on the arm of the nymph, pulling him closer to the edge so he could get a better look. "There's a naiad in there!" She pointed down to the water, enthusiastically, only to look down herself and find that they were already gone.
Yukiko caught a flash of bright color nearby. "Excuse me!" she called after them. She figured if she had to follow her curiousity, the least she could do was not be alone. "Do either of you have any idea what's going on around here?" she asked curiously as she shifted Adelphos into a papoose on her back, the strap cutting across her chest but keeping her son tight against her so he was safe.

Sweetie Belle jumped and squeaked when she heard her sister's voice. "Rarity!?" she asked incredulously and turned to see her. "What are you doing here?" she asked, baffled. This had to be the last thing she had expected to happen. Her sister hated getting dirty or sweaty and here she was chasing after herself and Applebloom. And really, they probably shouldn't be here, but the possibility of getting a cutie mark (finally) was all too tempting.
Apple Bloom blinked when she heard Rarity's voice. How odd, she thought. She was surprised that Apple Jack wasn't with her. Her big sister could usually be counted on to be in the thick of things...she wondered where she was, but shrugged it off. "Rarity, you know you're gonna get dirty if you come with us in that cave, right?" she asked, her drawl sounding a little sarcastic.

The siblings had been badgering each other when a voice called out, they stopped and looked behind them.
"If you want honesty we have absolutely no clue" Bel turned and jabbed her brother hard in the side as she took in the sight of the blue starry pae with her infant before them "My brother here thought we should find that out ourselves, we just saw a bunch of pae more then usual heading into the forest."
The male jabbed his sister right back "Yeah but somepae here dawdled putting things away back at the house and we've lost track of the last pae to enter the forest" it was obvious he and his sister bugged each other and had no qwalms about doing it either
Bel made a face at him and then faced the female again "I'm Beldaran, thats my brat of a brother Darius" she pointed at the male angel as she introduced them.

Coronus was silent she had a veuge idea of what had happened at the ball. What ever had happened her Daughter ended up having twins not that it was a bad thing she thought her daughter needed to find someone to settle down with. She fallowed the others the bad feeling in her heart got worse the closer they came to the cave. As they finally came upon it Coronus gasped. She knew that it was going to be there no she had a bad feeling it would be there and now that she has seen it she knew her worse fears were true. Coronus watched as the princess went over to the female faun that was in front of the cave. Coronus did not know her but she already seemed to have a crowd gathering around her. So she just stayed on the side and watched wondering what was going to happen.

She smiled at them a little and nodded. "Pleased to meet you both. I'm Yukiko, and this is my son Adelphos," she said. Adelphos babbled and smiled at the two new pae. "Would you be open to me joining you in finding out what's going on?" They seemed nice enough, the angel thought.
There was no real debate about this, neither sibling knew how to find the others who were ahead of them in the forest
"Sure why not, I honestly don't know where we're going those so please don't expect me to lead" Darius shrugged looking between his sister and Yukiko
"Nice to meet you Yukiko and Adelphos, ignore my brother he couldn't lead you out of a paper bag if he had to" it was plainly obvious she was making jabs at her brother, oh the joys of sibling rivalry. "Last pae we saw was heading in that general direction but we lost sight of them" she motions deeper into the trees in the direction the siblings had been walking

Looking to her sister, as they had walked to Earthmother, Celestia nodded once in agreement. "I too hope the matter ends soon; I do not wish for you to be away from your little ones for long." Oh... how very jealous the princess had been, and was, of her children. She hadn't noticed the fey's gasp when they had arrived, but it was probably better off that way.
Waiting quietly for the other female faun to speak, she looked around at the clearing. There was an awful lot of activity for such a secluded location; how strange... Wait, one of the others was addressing her. Looking to him, she nodded once in acknowledgement. "It truly is disturbing... That feeling alone makes me wish to flee..."
Astra wasn't about to argue so she followed the dark Faes lead "yes, please, I apologize also for my ignorance and rudeness and please, also pass on my apologies to them as well" she said as she looked to the dark Fae "the lake it is" she said as she started backing away from the scene.

After a moment's thought, Takeko pulled away to pick up her fallen basket. She carried more than just picnic supplies in there, as she did whenever venturing out on the isle anymore. She'd heard the question left unasked, and she looked up to meet Texas' crimson gaze with a look that said 'Later...okay?'
Then, she wiped her eyes, attempted to gain what composure she could, and answered, "Let's go."
As strong as the urge was to give into despair and wallow in sorrow, she couldn't do that if someone needed help. And though it was hard to say for sure, she thought that she'd heard something of that nature in the scream. The feeling seemed to weigh on her far heavier than she'd remembered, but maybe that was just because she was finally letting down the walls she'd spent years putting up. And besides, someone else needed help more than she right now. She had that to focus on as she spread her wings with a solemn nod to Texas before taking to the air again.
It was hard to tell for sure how far away the sound's source had been, but it had seemed to come from the direction of the Falls, so the angel took a wide, sweeping turn towards the falling waters in the distance, trying to scan the ground for signs of any trouble. The first thing she saw was an odd trio of Pae'il, heading for the Falls it seemed. A silver and blue female, who looked to be a Naiad, if Takeko remembered their abilities to travel on land correctly. A blue male with wings similar to Vika's...a nymph then...and he was carrying a green and brown female with leaf-like wings. Was she injured then, requiring aid? It seemed that help may have arrived already, which was a relief. Still, nothing wrong with checking. She glanced about for Texas, then pointed downward with a questioning look. Worth checking on?
The flash of movement as the cloak was thrown to the side was enough to distract the tiger demon from the growing sense of unease prickling at the back of his neck. For a moment at least. His eyes traced her form, but not in the way his son's did, apparently. His eyes sought out her scars, drifting from one to the next, only then taking in the big picture so to speak, the confidence in her stance, not quite arrogance or challenge, but more..the knowledge that if something were to challenger her, she'd be ready for it. He sensed...if not a kindred spirit, then at least one of a fighter, a survivor of another sort.
He thought of the numerous scars that crossed his own form. He remembered where each of them had come from too. Dragnid mutant monkey that had left the criss-crossing scars on his back. Poisonous, bladed hellcats' strike that had left a permanent mark on his leg where he'd been grazed, despite the best work of the Falassion Healing House. The long scar wrapping around his upper arm, the final work of a dying, old elm tree, victim to the first hurricane to hit the Isle with supernatural fury...it tried to take the demonic Pae'il with it.
Did she remember where each of her scars came from as well?
The ghost of a smile touched the demon's expression, despite the feeling of tension and fear that hung in the air like a haze. He didn't often make rash judgments on first impressions, but...he felt he might even like this woman, given a chance to speak with her. Well, a chance aside from this moment. Instinct kept screaming from the back of his mind that this whole area was just...bad. Not a place to tarry. Not if the odd heaviness in his heart was any indication. It was a very unfamiliar feeling; it unnerved the demon. And he wasn't unnerved by much, aside from certain elements of Dragnid Forest, which were certainly for legitimate reasons.
"Faroth," he grumbled, fighting the growl that rumbled in his chest; a defense mechanism. Sharp blue eyes scanned the area constantly for trouble. Something was setting his instincts into overdrive. "I don't like this. Socialize later, we need to leave."
Faroth was basically ignoring Kane for now, attention on the revered figure of the Faun. She seemed about as surprised to see him as he was to see her all the way out here. He hadn't expected to see any other Faun in the area, this far from the Tree. He was used to being a wanderer, but he didn't cross many others on chance on the Isle. He had no idea that Earthmother ventured out this far.
He nodded respectfully, not quite as familiar with her as he was with Rais, and not quite as comfortable being so...casual as he could be when making a fool of himself around the Chief. Even so, simple as he could be, he wasn't so oblivious not to notice the tension in her stance. She seemed worried. And the way she kept looking at his companions, well...Faroth had been a part of certain events recently that had resulted in the new security measures around the Great Tree. He could only assume that was related.
"Business? Not so much, ma'am," he smiled. "Just some old friends," he added with a pointed nod. Would that be reassuring? That he knew these Pae and could vouch that they weren't like the strangers seen around the Tree lately? Would it matter what he said? He continued in a casual tone, "Though, Kane was going to try to teach me to hunt, but..." he held up the sharpened stick, shrugging, "Honestly, I think it's a lost cause." He chuckled slightly, but the tension was starting to get to him as well. Normally reasonably carefree, even if people thought him simple, he was having trouble maintaining a smile. It was as if a weight had settled on his shoulders, growing only more heavy and persistent. He was inclined to start listening to Kane's insistence that they get moving again, even if he was a bit curious why Earthmother was all the way out here...
Make that extremely curious, given the sudden arrival of the Fauny Princesses. Blinking at the two sisters, Faroth was startled into a simple greeting. "Er...Princesses?" he said, nodding briefly in acknowledgment, then looking at the other two winged Pae that followed. Under his breath, with a befuddled look and scratching his head, he mumbled, "Uh, those two I don't know."
Okay, the only thing that would make this any stranger now would be if Rais and the entirety of the Faun Council showed up next. Faroth paused, looking over his shoulder in suspicion...oh well, it was as likely a theory as any. Still, this only confirmed that something odd was going on, especially with all the questions flying about from the new arrivals. Catching onto the conversation, as well as Kane's own insistence that something wasn't right here, Faroth's frown deepened as he looked from face to face. They were all feeling it then? Seemed that way. In a quieter voice, he turned to the eldest faunness and asked, "Earthmother? Is there...something going on?" Her presence here. This horrible feeling of dread and sadness. None of this made any sense to the simple Faun. "Do you...maybe need some help? This area feels very...'wrong'," he finished for lack of a better word. He asked if only out of reflex, feeling it right that he look out for a lady.
Nevermind that there was likely little she'd need his help in protecting herself from.
Still, it wasn't like being polite ever hurt anyone.

Gypsy had decided to go for a walk that morning, staying in that tree was causing her to get a little claustrophobic even though the tree was huge and whilst she would come to get used to it she hadn't so far and so she decided to take a walk in a forest she always did enjoy the serenity of the place and since she was away from Equestria now she had to get used to all new things. So when she had gotten a little ways into the forest, deciding to make herself acquainted with the forests since they were her fave places to hang out, she opened up the bag that was over her shoulder she pulled out an apple and started to eat it, enjoying how quite the forest seemed to be.
She paused a moment after they both spoke to her and dug out a mirror to fix her hair. After she stuffed it back in her pack she smiled and waved a nonchalant hand at the two fillies. "I came to make sure your ok Sweetie Belle. And yes, Applebloom, the thought had crossed my mind so I came prepared." she grinned and inspected a hand before casting a glance at the cave. "I figured you two would try to earn cutie marks...and what better opportunity to hunt for gems? No telling what I'll find in this land, can you just imagine?!" she said with a dreamy sigh and grabbed Sweetie Belle's face to smush it against her own and coo and nuzzle.
She paused then as a thought came to her mind and she glanced at the two. "Where are Scootaloo and Babs?" she blinked and looked around, seeing a million other pae but those two. Strange..... "These ruffians better not get any ideas about stealing my gems....." she then grumbled to herself.
