Ready, Ferros said tersely, his glow pulsing like a heartbeat. Jordan stepped back and lifted Ferros horizontally in front of him, steadying the hammer's head with his free hand; Ferros's glow brightened, and then a cloud of steam hissed out of the crack patterns on his barrel. The steam swirled in to surround both of them, a soothing heat that renewed a portion of their shield. Much better, Ferros said, sounding satisfied. "There are demons in the shadows~" Jerry mumbled under his breath, "Who creep and kill and fright~" The battle raged around him, and he ducked a bit of flames from Dakota. "We'll bring those monsters to the gallows, but they'll put up a big fight-" His own cannon was raised, the creature was weakened as Jordan's hammer came crashing down. He pulled the trigger. "Watchout! Here we come!' The force of the blast once again sent his legs crumpling as he tumbled across the charred and blood-stained grass. "W-watchout... here... here comes the... sun...!" "WHAT?" Jerry repeated before blinking at Jordan's gesturing and tried to concentrate on the rest of his words... Earplugs. Yes, that would be logical for a weapon that shoots blasts of sound.
p***y. Fear'll heal it.
"Says you," He grumbled under his breath before sticking a pinkie in his ear to try to relieve some of the ring. "Is... is it over?" He turned his attention back to Jordan, watching his lips intently for the reply. "Roar's... blasts are like... way stronger than usual..."
Says you- I'm always this strong. The weapon scoffed. Jerry ignored him.

The most Dakota received from Kat was a look. How he got a yes, from her wanting to drop the topic, she'd never understand. Then again, it was Dakota. She really shouldn't be that surprised.
With the creature 'down' and hopefully for good, Kat eased up a bit, but kept her weapons summoned. She honestly wouldn't be surprised if the shadowling, or something else came back to give them all crap. As Jordan said: its just how things went around here.
Lifting one of her guns to examine, she looked it over carefully, as if hoping to find some sort of defect in the object. She would at least like some answers as to why her weapon was suddenly crap. Though whatever it was, she didn't appear to be the only one effected.

"Right... right!" Jerry's voice was still a bit too loud, mostly due to the fact he couldn't hear his own volume. "We... make sure everyone's in one piece, no one's Fear Shields are too low, and wait for command to give us the all-clear, I suppose! What's our Bandage inventory??" Feeling like he accomplished something by shouting out orders more or less, he turned back to Jordan with an apologetic look. "I ah... saw what looked like Harrison's unicorn-thing there... I'm... I'm sure it was an illusion." The guy probably was already still upset about the whole killing him thing... helping to kill his pet probably didn't win him any points with the Moon Hunter.

It was time. Something else set it off, a feeling, a moment of trepidation. The ground extended outwards at all points into a thick, black rectangle of a crater before something crawled out, painfully slowly, a sphere radiating nothingness for a second before- - It unfurled, long black claws extending outwards first, followed by antennae, legs, a giant hollow heart sigil in the center of its chest. It was like watching something exhale for the first time, watching it create form from emptiness, watching as it towered high, high over everything else, easily engulfing anything in its way. What can be destroyed will only come back strongerOOC: BONUS EFFECTS BONUS EFFECTS APPLICABLE THIS ROUND: gaia_crown [ No Pain, no Gain! ]- All players no damage whenever they attack! There was a audible sigh from relief from Jason as they downed the massive shadowling, the moon trainee feeling relieved that it was gone. Because now they could all get patched up, work on fixing Deus ex, and all that fu- ..Or, maybe notBeing the manly person that jason was, he let lose a shriek before clamping a hand to his mouth. Okay he was scared, but Solia was one and...oh god please let Solia not hear him she didn't need to know what a coward he was.
Jason didn't have time to comment on his weapons banter as he went about his medic duty.
