"I never said it'd be big," she hissed under her breath. "You should've looked indoors, idiot." She shot him a glare, directing her own frustrations at poor Lex who hadn't done anything but help.
Annoyed by a lack of success, Ami ducked under one of Lex's bullets and followed its whistle back into the fray. After all, she couldn't stand back idly and let Kat and Lex get all the glory!
She had become quite agile through her training and weaving through the yeti's arms was almost no problem. Almost being the case because the yeti was quite angry and quite destructive at the moment. She grinned as Kat joined her, and began timing her attacks with the other girl's, creating a nice rhythm. Almost enjoyable.
Then, like Kat, she ran back to cover, ducking behind a bank of snow some moon hunter had built. At least now she could catch her breath properly.

 The yeti was lagging badly, struggling to keep itself upright with its broken and fractured body, stumbling once or twice to pull itself back up with a furious roar. In the prime of health it was impossible for it to imagine defeat but it looked like it was impending. With a furious grating bellow it lunged for the unfortunate form of Lex. Lex gave Ami an indignant huff, brushing off her slight. She more than likely meant it, but he couldn't let it get to him during the mission. "Ami, this book is pretty powerful. I'm willing to bet it's massive." He argued, left with nothing after she ran off with Kat.

Too late. With a massive strike from the creature, Lex was sent soaring into a pile of packed snow.
"Christ almighty..." He grunted, pulling himself up. This thing really packed a punch.

"IS IT DEAD YET?" Dakota had taken the hit hard when the monster had attacked, and thus was laying on the ground debating on why he was here.
Life choices.
Well he was here for Rep, and he was here to help the hunters get a base back.
And Stormy was being all cute and stuff so that was a bonus as well. He snorted at her joke and narrowed his eyes behind his googles.
"You think that's what it is?" He pushed himself up, looking at the mist trainee. "Well I am the ladies man..."
He hesitated and then felt the sharp sick heat from Chama, the runes on the sword lighting with fire. the last time they had used this move had been on Rep and since then, Hadn't had a chance to try it any further then that. He sucked in a breath as he batted his sword like a baseball bat at the Yeti. the end result was a wave of fire like a solar wave, sucking right into the Yeti's fur. Ouch.

Whatever book the two were bickering about, Kat would leave it till later to inquire more about it. Like when this Yeti was finally down and out for the count. With the snow beast literally moving from hunter to hunter, it wasn't long before it retreated from Dakota to attack Lex instead. "Good Lord, will this thing just die already?" Grumbling, she prepped her next shot, aiming directly for the Yeti's legs. "You alright, Lex?"

She giggled a bit at his exclamation, wiping at her goggles with a sleeve quickly. "Close, maybe . . ." It looked like it was starting to sway on its feet, and with its attention diverted from Dakota for the moment, she took the chance to run in an dig her sword into its leg. Maybe if they got it to stop running amok, they could finish it off for good and no more violence and yes.
"Though hopefully being a ladies man doesn't mean more of the harem pops out . . ."

Ami peeked out from behind the snow, looking for where the yeti had gone. She could tell by the excessive amount of bleeding and ragged movements that the beast was close to defeat. A sickly sort of grin cast on her face- eradication. Excellent.
Just as she was about to go forward and attack the beast, it barreled towards Lex. Ami saw the movement too late- she was on her feet but the yeti was faster. She only got a few swipes in as the monster came back, angry and vindictive.
Turning back to Lex she spat, "Idiot! You left your guard down!"

Lex gave Kat an appreciative smile, nodding that yes, he was okay. Regal had taken care of that, fortunately. He pulled himself up and brushed the snow off his coat, taking aim at the Yeti yet again.
And again, a total and complete miss. What did he even expect?
Ami's words stung, as did Regal's chiding agreement with his petite girlfriend. That last shot really did make him look like an idiot.
"Right, because I could defend against a raging snow beast." he muttered, moving to get out of the thing's range.

"If I can do it without anyone you can do it with a ******** pistol," Ami said grouchily, rubbing her arm while she hid her feelings under rude words. The cold was beginning to wear her patience thin, and the fact that her boyfriend had just been in danger wasn't helping. So if Lex was going to be short with her, Ami was going to be cross back.
With her temper unsatisfied she borderline snarled at the yeti and went in. Junpei, of course, was loving the fuel that Ami was feeding him. With a click her glaive snapped in half and she began pivoting around the yeti in a strange sort of blade dance.
She dodged a meaty hand and ducked towards his backside, smashing in the yetis face with her club. That'd teach it to maul over Lex.
Ami landed back onto the ground, her breath somewhat ragged after using up not one, but two of her charges. As she came off her strange little bout of irritation, she let out a little 'hmph!' of triumphant pride. How incredibly unladylike.

Giving the petite woman a massive roll of his eyes as she charged off to unload some massive damage, Lex got into "proper pistol form" as Regal would call it, pivoted and put one arm across his chest. Taking aim for the space between the snow creature's eyes, the Life trainee squeezed the trigger and, finally, landed a solid hit.
It was pretty satisfying, even if everyone else had done most of the work. Such was life, however.
"Well, that's that." Lex said, keeping Regal summoned. For all he knew, this Yeti's female friends could be on them at any time. "And for the record, I'm not an idiot." He looked to Ami, a little smirk catching his lip.

The blood from the various injuries all across the creature's body started to steam and smoke, fading into dying wisps of what looked like fog as its fear started to falter and break. The shield which gave their weapons such vigor seemed to be having the opposite effect on the massive creature. Ami's strike sent it to the snow and it seemed like it might not rise again, but some mad glint in those beady black eyes kept it moving, kept it fighting, and even dissolving, losing it's shape, it let out a screaming roar as Lex's final shot landed true. It reeled back, fell with a massive thud and this time, didn't move. As it dissapated it left behind what looked to be a very chewed up hunter coat. Inside a pocket there is a keycard marked outpost labs, lower level.

Ami watched the beast dissipate with glinting eyes, glad to see that their work was finally done. A look of curiosity crossed her face as the coat was left behind. With a frown she realized it had probably belonged to someone who'd been eaten, or worse.
With a thick grimace on her face, she knelt down and looked at the disgusting thing. Chew marks and a bit of slobber remained on it, and quite frankly she didn't want to touch it. "Eugh disgusting." The first pocket had nothing except a pouch of slobber which she frowned and wiped off in the snow.
The second pocket on the other hand, had a small card that Ami recognized somewhat. It was a keycard, much like the ones used at their labs back home. Seeing as the rest of the coat was useless, she simply left it there and trotted back to Lex, key in hand. "I believe this is yours sir. The spoils of war and all," she teased, holding the card out to him. "And you are an idiot. One with a good shot." She hesitated for a moment. "Ah, we should probably give this to Rep, don't you think?"

Watching the beast dissipate like that was oddly pleasing to the man, who was a little lost in the feeling until Ami came up to him with a keycard that held a bit of residual slobber. Yuck. He took it and held it like a first time father holds a freshly used diaper, very glad he'd invested in a pair of shooting gloves during his holiday shopping.
"Ah, yeah. He'd probably like to know about this." The Lifer grinned, before shooting Ami a little fake pout. "And I'm not an idiot, Ami. The Doctor doesn't exactly keep idiots in his division." He argued, shaking his head. One thing calling him and idiot constantly was more than enough for the Vegas man.
Finding the ginger Hunter wasn't all that hard, and Lex gladly presented the still slobbery card to the man. "Ami found this; I'm pretty sure it'll come in handy."
