 Talltale stopped just before he reached the cover of the grass. Something was wrong, why ways there so few of his team making it back? Turning around, dropping his spoils, Talltale looked back at the barn. He had heard a gunshot, but didn't think of it. Ears twitching in rapid motions, where was everyone? Sitting up on his hindquarters, he waited to see what was to happen. The farmer was back there, at the barn. He could still do something, but with so many gone, he wasn't exactly sure just what... There were hutch rabbits to keep together. Oh the chaos that was everywhere!

She'd stayed behind. Of course she'd stayed behind. One of them hadn't left. But now the farmer was there with them.
Ducking into the overturned foodbin, Althea looked towards the crate, watching to see if Sandbur would make a run for it.
She never expected to see another fool rabbit run into the barn. Frith help her, these marli were apparently raising fools. Hers included it seemed.
She tried to still her heart as the farmer moved around, waiting to see if there was any way at all she could get everyone out.

Kicking over an empty crate, he started shuffling around in his fury. Perhaps more were in here, hiding.

Pepper noticed the pitchforks leaned against the wall, with crates and all sorts of other things that would make a nice bit of noise. He ran into the pitchforks knocking them over as well as bumping into crates pushing them down.

Apparently that crate he kicked wasn't empty!
Yelling at the critter, he aimed his gun and then thought better of it. Wouldn't do to damage his barn even further. No, he'd try to catch it again. Grabbing the crate, he chased after, trying to drop it back down over the quarry.

Sandbur squealed as she was dumped from the crate. She bolted for the door, but the sides of the crate closed around her. She trembled, afraid this would be the end...and yet, she wondered if this is what her mate felt when he was on the same raid those years passed.

Aythi followed after Pepper and charged in looking for anything she could hit to make noise and distract the farmer out. She saw Pepper go for the pitch forks and decided to make a b line at a shovel and thump her hind legs as loud as she could against the wood of the barn.

GOTCHA!
He dropped the crate back over the rabbit and unhooked his sack of apples to put on top for weight.
But now there was something behind the barn, probably more escaping. He rushed out with his gun raised, leaving his prize to come back for later.

Turning the corner, he came across two rabbits doing... he had no clue.
At this point he was pretty sure everything was just a very, very noisy dream.
Had to be.
Perhaps dream bunnies tasted as good as regular ones though.

 Blackbirch was about to bound forward, attempting to distract the farmer further when a noise behind the barn gathered his attention. That was a better idea, in his opinion.
He darted forward as the farmer ran outside and quickly sunk his teeth into the bag of apples, putting all his weight into pulling the bag off of the crate quickly.
