Whisper entered the Cresting Woods with the expectation of being surrounded by other people- but she was pleasantly surprised at the apparent desertification of the place. Of course, it wouldn't be as good as she thought if none of the teachers were even present. But it didn't seem hardly likely that all of them were out at once, and there was bound to be someone around. She cast another careful glance around, making sure that her assumptions were correct, before she decided to pick her way through the trees. She felt her unease at traveling to such a large city slipping away as she stood among the trees, pausing a moment to draw in a deep breath and sigh in content. Her pale green robes blended in with the lush foliage with only the slightest bit of distinction in color, and the upper hand of having a bit of unplanned camouflage settled her nerves down as she gracefully folded her legs into a pretzel as she sat down on the mossy ground.
She felt just about silly sitting out here all alone, but she also felt one with The Green Lady, just as she did as she was travelling from her home in Gulstarr, where she was surrounded by woods all the time. The city was a bit overwhelming after growing up in the peace and quiet, but it was to be expected. Strange for a temple of Pital to be so close to such a place, but then again, there were reasons for everything. She was excited to be here all the same, and to hone her abilities was something she had always craved, especially since her parents couldn't teach her what she wanted to know. She was one step closer to truly becoming closer to Pital- and to what she was gifted in her race. She just hoped, out of every person she passed, no one noticed what she truly was- the last she needed was someone hunting her down her first day here. ooc: it's eh for a first post. but a teacher would be nice c:

"It's nice to say hello when you enter the grounds," a Kiranu woman said as she dropped directly in front of the young girl. "I take it you're looking for a teacher?" Skye Creed No problem. It's always hardest with that first post.

Whisper wasn't expecting anyone to appear, let alone them to drop out of nowhere from the trees above. When the Kiranu woman leaped down in front of her, she was so surprised that she shrieked and nearly fell backwards, forgetting her legs were locked together in her moment of fear. Feeling a flush of embarrassment creep up on her cheeks, she cleared her throat slightly as she straightened up, looking up at the woman who spoke to her. "Oh! Um.. sorry. I didn't really know that anyone was here," she admitted a bit sheepishly. It wasn't a very good first impression, but it would have to do. "But um.. yes, I am looking for a teacher." She studied the woman for a moment, still a bit flustered, before realizing with a start that she hadn't even introduced herself. "Oh and uh, my name is Whisper. Nice to meet you," she said, offering her hand. She tended to trust those who were partially animal like her- way more than she would those who were more human- or less- than not. She felt that maybe they could all share a kinship under the deity of Pital, but as far as she could sense, she didn't know who this Kiranu stood under, if anyone at all.

Kimmi shook Whisper's hand. "Nice to meet you, Whisper. I'm Kimmi, one of the teachers of the wood." Her tail swished back and forth as she sized the young girl up and down. "You seem like a holy woman. But what..." Her voice trailed up as her eyes traveled up to Whisper's forehead. With a smile and a wink, Kimmi said, "Say no more. We'll get you trained. So, what is your element?" Skye Creed Kimmi holds no deity alignment, purposely being a neutral creature.

Whisper nodded to the woman, who introduced herself as Kimmi, and remained seated as she appraised her for a moment. She gave a small, sheepish smile as she looked to her forehead, where her horn stood out. Sometimes, she forgot it was even there, especially with the way that most looked over it. If anyone who didn't believe in her race were to touch her forehead, it would just be smooth skin, but to anyone else, they may accidentally p***k themselves on the tip. She straightened up though with a bit of pride as she mentioned her being cleric, but hesitated again as she asked if she had an element. "Well.. I don't have one," she admitted, shrugging her shoulders. "I was hoping you would be able to help me with my healing- I haven't learned much yet."

Kimmi looked over Whisper a little more. "To be honest, I'm not the best teacher for healing and such. The best person to go to is High Priestess Emerald. She's the chief healer and head of the temple here in Veriglen." Kimmi shook her head. "And the fact you have no element is rather odd."

" Claire was walking along the trains in this lush forest that the city used as a training ground. She was trying to take the edge off of things, since the flare between her father and herself. Being kicked off her estates left her essentially homeless now. She had all the knowledge attained over the years and currently it didnt mean a damn thing.
She walked lightly down this path, leaving shallow footprints in the beaten trail, tiny motes of dust flaring up around her boots. She was dressed in the only set of clothes she had, and had her family rapier at her hip. The hilt was somewhat elaborate though it was a simple mundane weapon, and the blade balanced to make it exceedingly light for her and easy to handle. The weapon was odd for people that had always wielded axes or heavier blades such as a greatweapon. Even the normal shortsword was a bit heavy compared to this. Youd think that the weight of this weapon would make it highly ineffective, however that is far from true. More and more nobles were dying because of their mouth due to these weapons. They were exceedingly good at going through tiny gaps in armor and for quick light slashes across unarmored targets.
As she walked, her red, small cloak billowed out behind her, matching the rest of her attire. The feather in her hat was from a rather rare bird, and everything about her attire screamed nobility. Though she no longer was, just a homeless rat without a purpose in this world. She took a deep breath and let it out, trying to calm her nerves as she walked, turning a corner on a path and following it around. ♦••••♦••••♦••••♦••••♦ •••• Dodges: 4 •••• Distance: 50 ft Nation: ErnyaXXXXFaction: NoneXXXXDeity: noneXX•••••••••••••••• •••• Skills Used: (The skills that your character used or are active during the current post. Whisper's eager expression faltered as Kimmi spoke, telling her that she wasn't the best to teach healing. And the fact that she was a Kiranu and not a unicorn was disheartening as well, considering that she would have no idea how unicorn magic worked, unless she had trained unicorns before. She doubted that though; most unicorns were healers because it was a heart wrenching thought to think of ever hurting anyone. Nodding at her, slightly disappointed that she wouldn't get trained right away, she got up from her position on the ground. When she mentioned the priestess in the temple in the city, she became slightly more excited again. She knew there was a big temple dedicated to Pital here, and perhaps Emerald would be able to help her a lot more with both her healing, and her faith as a cleric. "Well, thank you anyway," she said, smiling warmly at her. She paused as she mentioned that not having an element was odd, before shrugging her shoulders. "I suppose it is, considering most do now adays. But all the same, it would be useless to me, since most of the abilities used with it are.. violent, at best," she said, cringing at the word.

A white haired anima could be seen swinging from tree branch to tree ranch through the forest, but it was quite a peculiar sight as to how he swung from branch to branch. Instead of using his leather gloved hands like most people, the anima had a bladed chain tail with a dagger end, and he was using the chain to swing around the forest, his arms crossed across his chest as he neared the training grounds. Once he found the Brown haired kiranu woman that had given him the mission to begin with, the anima's expdus would release it's grip on the current branch it was holding, dropping maddox to the forest floor. The young scoundrel would land silently on his feet, despite the height of the fall and the crunchy leaves underfoot. He then reported how the mission went. "I found the draconian as instructed. He was under attack when I found him by carniverous plants. Although I managed to get him out of danger relatively safely, he was considerably injured. Reaver and I dropped him off at the Pital's Grace temple, where a cleric said he would no doubt make a full recovery." Reaver chuckled mentally inside of Maddox's head. I personally think we should've just devoured his soul. It would've made us stronger, and it's not like it would've hurt anybody... well besides him I guess. But still, why did we save him Maddox, we barely even knew him. Reaver mentally asked his brother in a confused tone. Not in a malicious one at all, simply a confused and curious tone, as if he saw no problem with devouring the soul of an extremely injured ally.Maddox responded with a quick and calm explanation. Reaver, we can't just go about devouring the soul of everybody we meet... at least not yet. We are not nearly strong enough for that. What if somebody were to find out about our... actions. I myself am not willing to die over one meager draconian soul, nor would I risk having you destroyed over one simple soul, brother. He said mentally to his metallic companion.

Kimmi nodded. "Violent as they may be, it's always good to have some form of defense. But get going. I'll make sure Emerald knows you're coming." Kimmi heard more people approaching. She turned to see a girl dressed in red before Maddox dropped down near by from the trees. "Welcome!" she called to both. Listening to Maddox's report, she shook her head. "The lady said he would be fine but I knew better with a new recruit. Good to know you made it back without anyone dying. I hereby appoint you as a Journeyman of Ernya and all access that comes with it. Including some of the advance skill books." Finally turning to the new person in red, she smiled. "And you might be?"

As the training grounds teacher mentioned access to learning higher level skills, Maddox nodded. His bladed tail like exodus tail was bristling with excitement, realizing it would have a very good oppurtunity at learning how to further wound and kill it's targets. He reached into his knapsack and pulled out a thick volume of skills, and flipped it open to the scoundrel section. [1/6]
Almost instantly, the young scoundrel found what he was looking for. There was a rank B skill called vicious wound. It was one of the only skills in the scoundrel tree he could currently learn. [2/6]
The scoundrel walked away from the group, towards a rather thick tree. as he neared the tree, he reviewed the skill in his head. This skill is meant to be a quick stab or slash that would cut specific veins and make the target bleed out. [3/6]
Maddox decided that the best way to practice aiming for a specific vein would be to aim at a particular piece of grain in the wood. Finding a small grain no bigger than the size of an eraser, Maddox had Reaver strike forward in a scorpion like fashion, the bladed chain dagger soaring through the air. [4/6]
The dagger struck the grain dead center, much to maddox's pleasure. He then had the chain dagger do a slashing motion against another particular grain of wood. Once again, it was dead on. [5/6]
"The skills of assassination are much too easy for me. Perhaps I should move on to something else." The anima said quietly. Although there was an amount of contempt in his voice, the anima was pleased with himself. [6/6 grievous wound learned]

It had been quite some time since Jasper was allowed to train once more after his injury he obtained during his mission. He partially blamed Liliana, for falsely sending him on a peaceful mission that ended with him breaking two bones in his body. Jasper was strong, but not friggin' invincible. Either way, he failed the mission, meaning he didn't get ranked up. As much as he hated it, he knew it was his fault. Jasper was unprepared, and he suffered for it.
