Oh what a word, "heroic"! What a marvelous influence it had on the battered zomboil who, upon hearing it from Sin as well, felt justified for his actions and gave her a warm smile and a thumbs up.

Noting the thumb was skewed to the side at an awkward angle, he popped it back in place. Yin could judge all he wanted, because Mort was totally a hero now.

Now the zomboil was a touch nervous as he watched Mei navigate through traffic as well as go back for her follower, and at a few points he even looked as though he was about to jump back in the fray to snatch her out of it in a similar way he had done for Bells. But Mei, agile as ever, managed to get through without looking too bruised for it, and he gave a small sigh of relief once she made it to their side. "Good goin', Glitter Ghoul!" he cheered with a grin, managing to clap a few times even. In a way he was glad he had taken the worst of the cars; it meant no-one else had to take on the title.

And then, the clincher: shopping. Which of course, due to more troll dice Mort was unable to actively do, having neither followers nor gems. Granted, the idea of eating anything from Valentines right now made him a little queasy, but he didn't like the notion of coming back from a field trip without something to prove for it. So it was tempting to take Danny's offer, and he almost did - but a different idea came to mind when he glanced about their group. "Mrrrr. Thanks," Mort told him, leaning in conspiratorially as the ghost gave him a slap on the back (ow). "Really, thanks; cars were pretty big bastards, yeah. But have better idea than wasting candy on me. Said was interested in Sin ghoul, yes? As wingman, s-suggest that give to her instead. Doesn't seem like has gems of own to spend, so would prolly really appreciate the gift." Kindness for kindness, right?

Granted, Mort had no idea the succubus already had a boilfriend. He was just trying to do right by the guy.

With a return pat on the back that was almost as much an encouraging gesture as it was a nudge forward, Mort turned to Belladonna and pocketed his hands. "Ah, s-see anything like yet?"

Glad that everyone had successfully made it across the street, the witch beamed at Mei and gave her a little cheer when she joined their group.
"Excellent work! You and Sin will have to teach me your techniques!" Belladonna chirped to Mei and Sin, her eyebrows momentarily furrowed in jealousy. They got across so easy, how come she had so much trouble? But, it was wonderful that they had all made it across, so she didn't let her expression stay dark for long. Well, except... But, Desu-chan! Hadn't she seen her dearest Mort's heroics?! Hadn't she witnessed the power of love firsthand? No pat on the back for Belladonna?!
Completely crushed by this revelation, the witch pulled out her phone and shot off a text to the Trick or Treater.



Thankfully, they had shopping to perk her back up to her normal, bouncey self. With glee the witch rushed into the shop, her eyes all sparkled over at the idea of candy. And she even had a gem she could buy something with! Silently, with a fist clenched around the gem, Belladonna thanked Ricardio for his sacrifice.
Sure to take her time, the witch idly looked at all the items for sale, considering each. They just looked like regular candy to her, not nearly as tasty looking as the ones from Halloweentown, but her sweet tooth certainly wouldn't care.
"Anything I like? Not sure yet, they look so strange." A scrunched noise sealed her opinion. But Belladonna whirled back to face the zombie, a smile plastered on her face. For whatever reason, the image of his hands shoved into his pockets caught on her heart. This stupid town really was getting to her. It took only a second of careful consideration, but quickly Belladonna reached out her hand palm up, the gem glittering in the shop light.

"Here. You take it. You earned it, after such a dramatic and heroic display." She smiled warmly to show her conviction.

"Luck!" Mort obliged him before Danny went off to do his thing. He was gonna need some to avoid not looking like a pervert for staring at what lied beneath the rather thinly-vailed costume Sin was wearing.

Apparently he wasn't done with the offerings just yet, though, as now Bella's own gem was being gifted away. "Mrrr. Guess should be more dramatic n' heroic then," he said with a grin as he took it. "Thanks. Now lesee . . ." The booths had a wide assortment of candies to pick from, but most didn't settle well with him one way or another: chocolate was great but having coconut or being so dark not so much, lemons drops and cherries were too sour and fruity respectively, why the hell would he buy rose petals when he already smelled like it thanks to Mei's horse perfume, red hots were far too hard on his unstable innards (or what was left of them), and . . . who bought breath mints as a romantic gesture?

Really, he had no other option but the sweethearts. "Can share!" he told her, even though he definitely was not in the mood to eat right then.

Espying Yin's bag, Mort gave a low whistle. "Pretty good haul, Yin! Think can eat all've it yourself?"

She shot a grin to Mort amd Bells before shuffling into the shop. "Perhaps when we get back to school we can hit the gym and I'll give you a few gymnastic lessons, Bell."

Hmm hmm hmm.

Mei scurried up to the counter. Plopped her two gems down onto it and eyeballed the candies. She'd never had Valentines candies. Just Halloween candies. Was there really a significant difference?

What to choose what to choose.

Eventually she picked out the cherry drops and candied rose petals. Exchanging her two gems for the candies. Her followers sacrifices most certainly would not be in vain now. It got her some candies!

She rejoined the others, bag in hand with an accomplished smile on her face. Hopefully these candies would be worth all the pain she felt in various parts of her body from being hit by the cars.

"Darling, I do not think I could handle any additionals heroics." Belladonna replied with a wink, but toddled after Mort nonetheless as he picked his candy. Of course he was kind enough to share, so the witch happily nodded before she leaned around him to peer at Yin.
"Why wouldn't you eat them? Desu-Chan said they were safe!" In a manner of speaking, she had. Yin was such a silly thing! Always so serious and with such judging eyes. But her attention was quickly diverted back to Mei, who she beamed at, hands clasped under her chin.
"Would you really teach me gymnastics!? I've always wanted to turn a cartwheel!"

But all conversation drew to a halt when Sin approached and the strange need to help rose with a great force within the witch. A warm smile was bestowed upon the succubus and Belladonna skipped around behind her to place both hands on Sin's shoulders.
"Not to worry! I'll get you all fixed up!" She chirped, though she swelled with pride at the compliment and couldn't help but stick out her chest a bit more. The shop was small, but she managed to find a back area that was away from prying eyes. "Mei, would you mind being a dear and making sure none of the boils come over here?" Here she leveled said boils with a glare and a quick point of finger, though her gaze seemed to linger a bit longer on Danny. "If I catch you, I shall hex you so hard you won't know what's up or down." Then she pushed the succubus to the safety of the back room.

Quick fingers made quick work as she kept Sin facing the back so all they would see was the witch's back and maybe a glimpse or two of Sin's. With speed the witch untied the remaining knot and let it loosen around the girl.
"I'm going to make it a bit tight, so if you'd like a little extra oomph, adjust yourself now." Which was, of course to mean, if Sin wanted cleavage she was going to get it. Ghouls looked out for ghouls and things like this were meant to be shared!

Sin smirked a bit and gave Belladonna a grateful smile as she warned the boils off, good that ought to hold them off. She looked at Mei grateful for the extra line of defense and followed Belladonna. Oh great, there was still sparkles all over the place including behind the sash. As the witch undid the loose knot and let the sash come down Sin quickly tried to brush away as much glitter as she could. Extra oomph? She didn't need extra oomph, as it was Sin was pretty sure she had too much oomph it was no wonder no one found her scary! Still she didn't want to get squashed painfully so she bent and did her boob bounce© to get the ladies in place before Belladonna confined them properly.

She glanced over her shoulder at Mei somewhat envious, no doubt that ghoul probably didn't suffer these sorts of problems and when she met a boil they probably took the time to look her in the eye first. Ah well, Sin couldn't complain after all she was a product of generations of succubi, incubi, lust demons, and the like so of course she was 'gifted' when it came to curves. She was pretty sure she had never met a flat chested succubus…wouldn't that be something?

"Thanks Belladonna…most of my dresses come with built in features to prevent this sort of thing….but apparently this costume was designed differently." Of course odds were these costumes hadn't really been designed for them at all but rather for the more Valentines minded citizens.

Oh no, Yin did not wish to eat candy. It was exactly tasty, and highly suspicious. Now if there were meat flavored candy...then he might debate things a bit more.

He was all well and good with just standing there staring at anything but Miss Sin as he had the entire time that they had been on the trip but then Miss Meixiang was there, falsely accusing him of being a pervert.

Or was it false? He had kissed Alexander at one point or another. He was no chaste being! Mortified, red enough to match the red hots in his bag, he mumbled something inaudible and looked distressed.
