Venice had mentioned something about a beach party at practice, and although not
technically invited,
Porsha had decided she was long over due for a day at the beach and some fun in the sun. Excitement didn't really keep her from arriving a little late though. She'd had to go digging through boxes to find her summer clothes, then even deeper for bathing suits. Eventually she'd found her black
pirate themed bikini, and after a quick job of packing a bag with a towel and anything else she might need for the day, she was on her way.
The beach was packed when she arrived, and it was no small task hunting down her teammate among the mass of scantily clad bodies. Finally she spotted the other woman snatching a cupcake from another girl and running off with it... And devouring it, wrapper in all.
The teen was shaking her head as she made her way over. "That was kind of impressive, but I'm pretty sure cupcake wrappers aren't good for you." I soft prod to the rackabillie's stomach followed this declaration, along with a good natured grin. "I was a little worried about crashing a party I wasn't invited too, but I'm kinda thinking no ones even going to notice."

Meanwhile,
Lydia had been debating whether or not she wanted to go to a massive party on the beach with a bunch of people she didn't know, and only a handful of those she did, but eventually the promise of sand and surf won the ginger over. So after calling Grant to invite him along as well, she got herself changed, packed a bag, and headed down to the coast. As expected, it was absolutely packed, and not for the first time Lydia was glad she had taken a cab. Not that she really had many choices, other then the bus, but Lydia had never been much of a fan of being stuck on a large, smelly vehicle with numerous other people all trying to avoid one another's gaze. Or worst, trying to catch. The very idea was enough to make the girl shudder as she stepped free the cab.
Her swim suit was new this year, a
yellow and black paisley print bikini that did wonders to accent her pale skin and strawberry blond hair. Her curls were all piled up on top of her head, and she'd added a lacy headband to round framed shades to pull the whole look together.
After checking to make sure still had everything after the cab, she scanned the mass of bodies for the most familiar one, and found her after a moment or two along with another semi familiar face. As she watched, Quinn raised a super soaker in her other hand and gave Arilee a heavy spray of no doubt chilly water. It was enough to make Lydia hesitate in joining them, but with there being no one else around she really knew, she had little choice. As she started walking over she was relieved to see Quinn's interests turn from water wars to snack food, and it sped Lydia's pace considerably.
"Hey guys," she greeted as she neared, palm up in a universally lazy wave. "You look like you've been having fun." If by fun, she meant being absolutely drenched..

I hope it's alright to have Lydia already having met Arilee once, to get past the meet and greet? o wo
