I've pretty much figured I'm not the kind of person who likes programs like Insanity/P90X. Not because they're hardcore, cause I'm all for the hardcore workout. I just feel pressured to not miss a single day, and I have a life. If I want to make this change to my body permanent - then it'll have to be with things that I have time for in my daily life/schedule. You can easily lose that weight (and keep it off) by August, and I'm sure you know it. It's great you have a workout bike (that's good for the cardio). Have you asked your bf to workout with you at all? Like walking, jogging, biking? Or your other friends? It might be helpful since they probably have the same major/classes as you - so you have similar schedules. You could make time together to go for a walk...or crunches, or whatever you want. When you decrease the amount of fat on your body (not lose really, since the cells just shrink) it comes off of everywhere (including organs)! So it would come off your stomach/legs, etc. If you're looking to target your arms more, then buy some free weights (or use soup cans from around the house - be creative)! There are a ton of exercises you can do at home that don't take up too much time. Personally, joining the gym here was probably the best for me. If there's a gym/work out area on your campus, that might be good to join (or go to if it's free for students). But it's really what's best for you, and your lifestyle.
As for healthier eating - it might be better to wean yourself off sugars. Or set up the weekends as days where you can have more of those. Orrrr just eat more fruits since they have a good amount of sugar - and it's not fake. Apples are pretty badass and so are bananas. Drinking water like a beast curbs hunger too. I understand how you can be sitting at a desk all day and maybe be bored-hungry (since I pretty much do that 5 days a week for 8 hours) and want to snack. Fruits are awesome. Granola bars (that aren't just full of s**t) are too. There are a ton of options - you just have to figure out what you like. I hope this comes off as helpful and not like condescending >_> You can always text me/email/PM me for inspiration.

We do have bikes though that we bought last summer, so I know I'm going to go bike riding with him. As far as going out with friends. I just finally made friends this year because I'm a commuter (takes 2 hours to get to school). I do have one day of the week I could go to a hip-hop yoga class with a friends of mine... but I need a better job if I want to do that every week. I've just recently got away from the sweets. So hopefully I'm back on track with not eating candy, cookies, cake, ice cream, etc. And I've been drinking a lot of water. I just really need to start working out (which means you'll at myself in my head for 2 weeks to get up and do something) and I'll be good.

Sagebomb xxXSleepy_NinjaXxx Okay, I need someone to help motivate me. Checking in, hows the focus? staying on track? crying I'm not really on track yet. I have been trying with eating healthier. But I haven't really been working out which I really should. I know I have plenty of times during the day where I'm doing nothing but being online for hours when I could be working out even if it is for 20 minutes.

You just need to follow the calander and choose a time each day to do it...and then make yourself do it. Eating good is good. Just got to set a goal and then keep heading for it.

But I'm sure I'll get back on track once I settle down. Its just since you said you have hours where you were doing nothing. Do you not find working out actually makes you less stressed and helps you focus more? (positive brain chemistry and such) http://www.forbes.com/sites/jennifercohen/2012/05/08/6-ways-exercise-makes-you-smarter/ http://psychcentral.com/news/2012/10/29/exercise-makes-you-smarter/46766.html http://news.menshealth.com/ace-college-finals/2012/12/06/ Remember exercise makes you smarter, more energised and various other positives. As the studies show...students who get As tend to exercise more than those who dont.

I should really get back into it and stop making up excuses.

xxXSleepy_NinjaXxx Yeah, I noticed that when I was doing Insanity for that one month. I should really get back into it and stop making up excuses. Health is weird. When you are unfit, you dont feel like working out, you feel like eating food thats bad for you, and you want to sleep more, and feel tired more. When you exercise you crave good food, you sleep better, you have more energy, and feel better. Its weird how bad habits encourage bad habits and good encourage good. Indeed its just getting the motivation to get started and keep at it.

I'm motivated to keep going and don't have to push myself to do things anymore.

Once established routines is much easier to keep. Although before each insanity workout I do have to hype myself up...since there is a form of dread. But its more just anticipation of knowing whats coming. Still its always good after XD
