Slowly... ever so slowly, Ev began to tune out the information being provided. She'd been so intently drawn to it, but now.. ah there was something much more important at hand... to her, at least. Her neatly folded hands in her lap fidgeted very slightly as her fingers shifted with a contained desire to pet the soft plumage that the owl had. This was the second familiar she'd met of another students, and was just as enraptured in it's presence as any other creature of nature's bounty. The moths that had landed on the boil walked about daintily, mostly just inspecting him, but a few began to dangle from strips of his hair, only to fall, and catch themselves with ease to flutter back onto a new area. There were quite a few who were bold enough to take a gander at the gorgeous feathered friend in tow! A small amount hovered above her, before casually landing right on the bridge of her beak, as well as a 'horn', wings easing open and closed contently. Tearing her gaze from the little beauty, Ev let her attention rest on Kettil, politely giving a small bow of her head in greeting, "It's a pleasure to meet the both of you~ I am Evelyne-Aglaya Yeva Verochka, but please feel free to call me Ev~" she replied smoothly. The roots that were firmly coiled to form the perfect ghoul legs were beginning to shift as well, due to her outwardly subtle delight.
Receiving a compliment in return made the ghoul giggle faintly, a hand covering her mouth so as not to disturb those around her, or the speaker, "Thank you~ You're so sweet." she replied, mildly bashfully. Looking up to Kettil, not that he could see her eyes... she asked sweetly, "May I pet her?" she asked, giving a glance down to the pretty bird as well for her verdict too.

Shehk was only imagining how it would have been if everybody was carrying around Minipets. Hell, she couldn't even pick between her pack members. She probably would have taken Precious with her.Prolixity Text to Siddie: I saw! But yeah. This.. is kinda nervewrecking. Any idea on where you're going to go first?I'm thinking War and then Death. But we'll see. Hmmm.

Late? Just a little bit. Fortunately, the baku managed to creep into the auditorium undetected, blending into the large crowd of students as if she had always been there. She managed to catch most of Arel's speech, but the sudden buzzing of her eyephone caused her to jump in surprise. Peeking at the students around her, she subtly pulled the phone out from her pocket and sneaked a peek at the screen.
Oh, it was Amphi! And...hmmm. She considered the question thoughtfully for a moment before typing back a reply.
Nyxtsuki Moon Text to Amphi: I guess it means...well, there might be things that we're not used to or things that we...might not like? But since we're guests, we'll have to be respectful of the cultural differences.
...Or uh, so she guessed, at least. Truth be told, she was kind of regretting the fact that she had signed herself up (or at least, she was really nervous about what it would be like), but it was too late for that now.

Sparrow Heartreed stood at the back of the room, peering around for a seat to take, a bit of a frown on his face. He could not see anyone in the immediate vicinity that he knew well enough to sit beside, and Wren was still not feeling well enough to attend the assembly. It made him a little sad, since he was missing her quite terribly, but he pulled his phone from his pocket and sent her a small text:Lilpuffs Thinking of you. As usual. Feel better, my dear. <3 Closing the phone, Sparrow tucked it back into his pocket and went about trying to find himself a seat. There was a loud screech from the podium - he winced slightly - as the school secretary wrestled with the scamplifier, and Sparrow shook his head, sighing a little. Now, more than ever, he wished Wren were here with him, or perhaps Xiu or LW, considering what he was about to do with the exchange program - but it seemed as if - at least for now - he was on his own.
He looked around again, trying to make out any sort of empty space for him to sit. There was a young, dark haired ghoul a few feet away, an empty seat beside her, and Sparrow climbed through the crowded, jostling, laughing, people, making his way over towards her.
"Pardon me," he said cheerfully, tapping her gently on the shoulder. "But is this seat taken? I'm afraid it's a bit crowded in here, and I can't seem to find another place..."

Clearing his throat a little, his eyes had found their way to the little box in the ghoul's lap, the excitement enticing the cat on his shoulders. Although he was such an open people to everyone, he felt a little sheepish starting conversation with just someone in the rows, hoping he wouldn't interrupt her while she was listening to the proffessors, but it was a little boring waiting, most ghouls and boils entertaining each other, or the little phone contraptions in their hands, keeping him a little in a bubble by himself - if you did not include Drei.
"Are you any more ready than I am about all this?" He asked nicely, ears swivelling up a little, hoping he wasn't intruding once again, lifting his hands a little, showing he was being personable.

The little gambling demon turned to look at the secretary for a moment then sighed sharply. "I gotta say, Auri, I think you're right I mean... even watching those trials it was hilarious how badly the school was doing. Good show but for all the wrong reasons. Maybe they needed a better look at the student body as a whole rather than Amityville's finest circus performers..."

Rafe squeaked -- a definite, audible squeak -- but stood his ground, and was pleasantly surprised by the brotherly welcome from the hearty giant of an undead. The touch was familiar and comforting, the sort of greeting and enthusiasm he was accustomed to, although the hands were a bit larger than he was used to. He untucked his own hands from his pockets a bit clumsily so he could shake Mort's; his book fell from one pocket and landed with an undignified smack on the floor, and he ducked down to retrieve it, blushing. "R-rafael," he said, as he picked up his book. A few pages fell out and he scrambled to catch them. "But you can call me Rafe, if you want." Year two students! At the school! And they were talking to him!

Kettil didn't mean to be a complete distraction what with his Owl and his friendly ways but sometimes it happened. It was just how things worked. There was some amusement as he caught the moths as they moved about him and 'inspected' him some parts of his skin feeling them as they moved about and gave him a bit of a once over as it were. It tickled but their touch was light enough that it didn't cause him to make disruptive laughter because of it.
The Owl politely let the 'snacks' check her out without even reaching to chew on them, she was a very well behaved Familiar ... for the most part.
"Pleased to meet ya," he grinned over at Ev as she introduced herself giving him a name to call her by. She was really quite interesting! He should remember her for later when he talked to Lark about his little outing. When Ev asked if she could pet his Familiar he shrugged laughing a bit, "that'd be up to my Endy," he said with a bit of a nod.
Endzela shifted to sit up a bit more, likely disrupting the moth or two that decided to investigate, "You may pet me," she decreed as dignified as she could.

"Rafe! It is nice to meet a newcomer." Herryk thumped his own chest with a fist. "Herryk." A simple introduction from a simple boil. Greetings out of the way, Herryk grew a bit more serious as he leaned closer to Rafe. "Be careful." Short, sweet and to the point. He knew that Mort would understand the warning. Things could turn real ugly, real fast.

Unlike others showing up late, Roch didn't give a flying JACK that he was. In fact the punk hadn't even bothered to zip up his vest. It hung open, showing off his chest. He was yawning as he stepped into the auditorium, his guitar slung over his back by the strap, his hair flopping somewhat to the side.
... He should have used the extra strong hair gel--stupid damp season. He reached up, scratching his chest and looking around curiously for people he wanted to talk to--or perhaps somewhere he could lay down and take a nap at.
A nap would be good--he was half asleep already.

Kaiyumi Text to Xiu:I don't know if I like that idea. What if someone gets hurt? What if someone dies? I don't think I could stand by and just...watch. She rubbed her eyes at the thought of what would happen that would make it hard not to interfere. Amphi was by no means a meddler but...She wouldn't sit by idly by as someone was hurt, damaged or in need of help.
She just wasn't that kinda of ghoul.
Idly, she texted another reply and then sent one to Thana. Because she could see he was in her first class.Kaiyumi Text to Xiu: Please be safe then my friend. I don't think I'll see you during these times.... :'( Dragain Text to Thana: it looks like we have first classes together...Hopefully we can work on the homework together yes?

....Careful? Rafe's ears perked. He straightened, shoving his glasses up on the bridge of his nose, and flipped through the pages of his book, trying to figure out where the missing pages had come from. "Excuse me?" He asked, not even entirely sure that Herryk's warning had been for him.

"Ooh. Hmmm."
The Púca made a noise as his brain actually tried to flutter on in the midst of all the playfunplayyes that dominated his actions when the girl started to talk again. The markings along his face glowed even brighter when her fingers descended on one of the long, sturdy ears, and the horse shook his head, snorting in pleasure at the strange touch. "No. No." He liked this word. Lifting himself away just slightly, the Púca stared at his new - what was the word? - friend with a slight frown.
"There's people who like the bad feelings. People who don't like the good feelings." He giggled and twisted his tail, the thought of touch and feel and pleasure putting him on edge and nowhere near very sane, what with all of the commotion adding to his already less than pleasant attitude. "I like both, any." Ah, yes, the Púca was full of quirks, and less than half of them were very good ones to have. He only gave a noncommittal "hmm," at the a thank you though, ears wavering to and fro at the sounds she created rather than the words she was actually speaking. Rumbling, he bumped foreheads with her again, letting himself rest like that until she moved away and he was forced to either jerk or... well, fall.
"Hmm. Hmmmm." He grinned at the idea of interesting. He could work with that too. "Ahhh, yes. New things. Hmm, new. I like that. What classes for you?" The Púca would be the first to admit that he had the stupidest way of talking, if he were ever to admit anything at all. However, the Púca's train of thought - if it could even be called that - was derailed by a new voice interrupting, a new sound that he knew at once he liked.
Aah, greetings?
Wait. There were common ones?
Fallow scraped his brain for any remembrance of formal ways of greeting, but in between the sawdust and constant monologue chant of funyesplayhmmmmine, he couldn't make anything out. Instead, he allowed his head to fall to the side of the Cu Sith's, bright, glowing neon eyes examining Bongani with possessive intent.
"Hello. Yes, hello." He gave shark-like grin. "Common? Hmm. Hmm. Maybe." The Púca broke off into a shudder of laughter, more horse-like in sound than human.
"Would you like to try it?" He raised a brow at the other, sharp rows of teeth showing, ears pricked to attention. He moved closer without being asked - what were boundaries again? He didn't really like the word, the sound of it, - ah, and then he was very close. The witch doctor with a nice voice. Hmm, how interesting.
"Yes," He hummed cheerfully, "lets try it." Without waiting for consent, the Púca knocked their heads together as well. "Heehee. Hello."

He shook Rafe's hand once with a smile, rubbing the back of his neck a bit self consciously as Herryk gave his greeting and warning. "Yes, ah . . . dunno how much know 'bout Horsemen, b-but can get, er . . . hairy," he tried to explain. "Good to be ready for n'thing, yes. Horsemen r' serious business."
And that was an understatement.
"Are very tough n' strong, so will ask same of us even if only students. Not sure what taught at home, but . . . yeah." And that wasn't even getting into the whole Hunters business!

As she was given the go-ahead to give the pretty birdy a petting, Ev smiled even more, the moths that were fluttering about her like a cloud giving a small twirl as if to convey the excitement that the Grand Bois skillfully kept withdrawn. A hand lifted from her lap, clawed fingers extending as she very tenderly stroked the tips of them along the round head. Such soft feathers... The motion was repeated slowly, placement adjusting at times to brush along another area of the feathered head, "Your feathers are so pristine and smooth~" she cooed. The moths that once rested on the owl now were perched on the back of Ev's doting hand. Kettil was.... almost forgotten... but only for a second, as the demon fell into a sort of mantra with giving affection to the winged familiar.
Her head tipped so she could look to him, second hand drawing closer to let the backs of her fingers gently stroke one of Endzela's cheeks, "Are you going to be participating in the new classes?" she asked curiously. Not having any friends really, she thought it might be nice to at least have a familiar face around there.
