Shinji showed an incredible amount of restraint waiting for the others to get started before he charged into the combat he longed for, but mostly that was due to David's presence and the enjoyment he got from bantering. Once Enro launched off towards their foes however, Shinji's hunger was awakened and his smile grew to the usual level of amusement and elation battle brought him. Impressively, the larger man seemed to know a thing or two about combat and seemed to be surprisingly quick in his reaction speeds for the average Genin, but then again, these were civilians.
Either way, once the woman made a run for the backdoor, Shinji took one last look at David, his smile curling up into a playful grin... "Guess it's my turn... you don't mind if I take your share of the civilians, right?" Without waiting for a response, Shinji charged across the field with his usual speed, traversing it faster then any Genin, or even most Chuunin could directly past Enro and into the building. From outside, looking in, the events that followed would be hard to see, but Shinji's voice and the noises inside rang out clear.
"Hey! I found the party! Where's Kenichi?... You're not Kenichi!" The comment was immediately followed by some large crashing noise, followed by a scream which was suddenly cut short with a loud thud as silence fell over the room once again. Some movement was heard, a crash as if a table was tossed accross the room as Shinji's voice rang out once again... "Oh, please! No!... Not that, anything but a KNIFE! How did you know my only weakness! Please don't..." The banter was cut off by a sudden roar as it seemed someone charged in a fury, but the sound was followed only by a few quick grunts and thuds before suddenly a body came flying out the doorway which Shinji had entered, soaring right past Enro before it hit the ground with a thud.
A quick glance would reveal that the flying body was a civilians who lay unconscious in a heap on the ground as the dust cloud of the impact rose above him. Anyone whose glance looked to the man would be quickly jerked back to the building by two sudden cries for help from inside. Begging for mercy and not to be killed, the voices rang out only to be answered by Shinji, whose voice had a somewhat cruel tone to it, which he was using simply to play with the men, though to any outside observer, it might seem that Shinji had lost control amidst the battle and was about to land a killing stroke!...
"Mercy is for the weak! You shall pay for your trangressions!" A loud tang was heard as if a blade met a hard surface and rang out through the air as two cries of terror were suddenly silenced.
Anyone who walks into the shop would see Shinji standing over two heads which stuck out of the ground like prairie dogs whose holes had caved in around their necks. Right between them, Shinji's enormous sword was stuck into the ground and above Shinji wore a smile of absolute joy, bordering on laughter as he relished the situation and the play he was able to make with these civilians, hoping to teach them a lesson. Behind him, a man hung suspended from the sealing, some random tubing which was once part of a ventilation system wrapped around his torso many times as he hung unconscious, spinning and swinging slowly in the air.

David's eyebrow raised at Shinji's question, but he gave no response, simply rolling his eyes and watching as the large man, Enro, charged the door. he had to admit, he'd been expecting more use of tactics from the man who seemed fairly controlled in his actions, but then, they weren't really needed against civilians, right? The boy's eyes turned to the female of the group as she went around behind the building, but as he didn't want to follow her, he lost track of her quickly. Turning to Shinji again as he spoke once more, David's eyebrow rose again, this time giving the intentional impression of a wordless question. "Do you think I care?"
As if to enforce the image that he really didn't care, David leaned backwards, as if he were sitting down. As he did so, several thin disks of sand formed under and behind him, which he settled onto as they maneuvered into positions to make a chair of sorts, simply floating in the air.
Now floating casually in the air, David didn't bother repress a smirk as he listened to Shinji's antics inside. It wasn't as if anyone was looking his way to see the break of character. Now, the question was, how would the others react to the boy's antics?
Just a note, David's actions thus far don't reduce the post count. Sorta lost inspiration near the end of this one...

Enro silently marveled at the speed of the young man who moved past him and into the building. The girl was also quick to run into the alleyway, possibly to come in from the back. Judging by the commotion the white haired boy was causing. He used his foot to roll one of the groaning looters onto his back, frowning at the blood bubbling from the man's shattered nose. Perhaps he'd struck out with too much force?
The thought was banished from his head when a body soared from the doorway skidded across the sand. A quick glance assured him that the man was out but his attention was quickly drawn to the building where the cries of civilians reached him. He glanced back at the Kazekage as if to gauge his reaction before moving into the shop, his pace completely relaxed.
the sight he met within the shop drew a slight smirk and a raised eyebrow. He was impressed, that much was clear. Four men defeated in the same time it took him to defeat two men. And somehow he trapped two of them within the earth. Enro looked at Shinji and simply nodded his head. " nicely done,"

She finished off the knot that tied the man's hands together, leaning in close to his ear. "Stay still." The woman whispered threateningly. It hadn't taken long to disable just one person, but there should be plenty of them left inside. It was surprising that no one else inside trying to escape, but with the rising commotion and screams she doubted their availability to do so. Reiko thought she detected a bit of laughter in all of it, but most of it was terrified yelling and mockery by the voice she recognized as the white haired person from earlier. Rambunctious was a good word for him.
Disregarding her earlier command herself, she grabbed the man on the ground and pulled him to his feet. One person out of the entire group probably wasn't that impressive and wasn't likely to reflect well on her effort, but there was little she could do when grouped together with someone who bull dozes straight into the building. With a sigh she began walking away, intent on presenting her single capture so that they could affirm that everyone was there; however, she was caught off guard when a pair of arms began their way around her torso.
Someone must have managing to sneak through out the door while her back was turned, and all of the noise inside had made it hard for her untrained ears to hear him. She let go of her prisoner and kicked him forward, preparing to slip through the grasp of her assailant. Just as she decided to begin moving, her face became flustered as she realized that her bosom wouldn't let her escape. "Let go." Reiko growled. Her lack of weight would allow her to tip him forward either.
Frustrated, she stamped one of her heels into the man's foot, whereupon he let out a groan and a weakening of his grip. Taking advantage of the situation, she wrapped her leg around his and jerked backward, knocking both of them onto the ground with a thud. He was still being stubborn and not letting go, so she dug her nails into his arms had enough to draw blood. Afterward she slid his grip down more toward her waist, getting her into a good enough position. She raised her foot again and with just enough flexibility, brought it down onto his groin. That seemed to do the trick, and she successfully broke out of his grasp, tossed a kunai into the back of her last victim, who was trying to get away. Turning around, she placed one of her heeled feet on the neck of man number two.
Shinji turned to Enro and smiled as he watched the large man step into the building and was pleased with the man's expression. From the words that followed, Shinji could tell that the man was one of few words and little reaction, but was pleased enough with his own work and the comments he received to pick up the slack... "Heh, just a warm up really. You didn't do so bad yourself. So what's the plan here boss?... this seems to be your operation. We wrangle up the citizens and whoever else the girl got and leave them here for the ANBU to process?..."
Shinji would have continued on, but his thoughts were suddenly interrupted as he heard Reiko's voice through the hole in the rubble which blocked the back entrance. "Let go!" Reacting instantly, Shinji shot off in the direction of the voice, but stopped at the wall of rubble. The space wasn't big enough for him to get through with all his weapons on him and blasting the wall to pieces could harm Reiko on the other side. As a member of the Iwagakure however, Shinji saw the world around him differently then most. Without thinking, Shinji knew the quickest possible route outside was through the earth itself, and as such, he launched into a quick set of hand seals, ending in a single seal which he held in front of him as his body went stiff.
"Doton: Tsuchi Gunjikoudou no Jutsu" As soon as he had spoken the incantation, Shinji sunk into the earth at lightning speed, moving underneath the surface of the desert ground in only a second or two before coming up out of the ground on the other side. The situation he found however was much better then he had thought it would be in his haste. Arriving just in time to see Reiko kick the man in the groin, Shinji flinched a bit at the sight, but then allowed a small grin to creep over his mouth as he watched her stop the man who tried to escape and then trap the other by placing her foot on his neck.
Continuing to smile, Shinji relaxed his posture and walked over to Reiko smiling... "Lookin good there beautiful.., always nice to find a lady who can take care of herself in a fight. Might want to be careful though," he said with a grin as he pointed at the man whose neck she had her foot on and was standing over... "Give a man like that the view he currently has and he might see his punishment as a reward." Letting his innuendo-laden remark linger in the air, Shinji gave Reiko a wide smile, obviously pleased with his own comment and walked over to the man who lay motionless on the ground with a kunai in his back.
Crouching down, he assessed the man's wound and saw that though it was bleeding, it wasn't a fatal wound. In fact, the kunai didn't seem to have gone too deeply into the man's back and after prodding the man in a few places, receiving a response from each, he deemed that the man had not been paralyzed. Observing him closely, he could see clouds of dust whipped up from the man's mouth as small bits of gravel moved in and out through his labored breathing. "Well, seems like you followed orders well enough... he's still alive. Though, next time, you might want to aim for the leg. If you're not looking to kill him, it achieves the same effect and doesn't have the possible side-effect of paralyzing a man for life."
Standing up, he turned to Reiko, still wearing the same smile he always seemed to have on and motioned to the guy at her feet. "Whenever you feel like he's had enough, why not bring him inside? We'll round him up with the others, give them some shade from the desert sun and let them wait for the ANBU to arrive and process them, or figure out how to deal with them ourselves." Crouching down next to the man with the kunai in his back once more, Shinji placed his hands in a single seal and concentrated on bringing forth the Katon: Ni technique to his right index finger.
Once complete, Shinji removed the kunai from the man's back, then immediately followed up the action by placing his finger on the wound. As soon as his finger touched the man's flesh it burned him, creating a sizzling noise as the man let out a cry of pain. "Oh calm down ya baby..." Letting his finger probe the wound for another second or two, Shinji removed his finger and inspected the area. As expected, the heat created by the technique had cauterized the wound and blood no longer escape from it. Satisfied with his work, Shinji then slung the man up over his left shoulder and carried him to the front of building to place him inside with the rest of the citizens he had neutralized, fully expecting Reiko to follow his lead and rejoin the group.

Not soon after she had subdued both of her prisoners, the white-haired man appeared out of nowhere again. It came as less of a surprise this time, since she was quickly growing used to it. She nearly frowned after his lewd remark, but when she looked down at the man beneath her heel, he found that what he said wrote true. "I'm wearing biker shorts." Reiko mumbled to herself. The offense stroke similar nonetheless, and took her foot off of his neck just long enough to deliver a swift kick to his jaw. "Pig." Internally, she would have said much of the same of Shinji, but that would've been a little too harsh for just one remark. He would just be labeled as a lewd man for now. Rambunctious and lewd.
When she looked back to Shinji he was knelt over the other man, establishing a quick fix to the wound he acquired to his back. It was true that where she'd thrown the kunai risked the danger of paralyzing him, but at the same time even with paralysis, the man wouldn't be dead; though she supposed that aiming for the leg would be a good idea if a similar situation were to ever happen. As he departed with the man she gave him a silent nod, turning about to see the pervert still holding his jaw in pain. She sighed, and grabbed both of his arms, dragging him over the sand toward the front of the building to rendezvous with everyone else.

Enro reacted to the girls voice in the same instant as Shinji, snapping his head in the direction of her voice and immediately realizing that the way was obstructed by rubble. Unlike Shinji he possessed no method to circumvent the obstacle and could only watch as the white haired boy sank into the earth.
His patience was rewarded with the sounds of conversation between the two as well as the cries of the wounded civilians. He breathed a light sigh if relief and exited the shop after untangling the man wrapped in wires. The man was easily tossed over his shoulder and unceremoniously deposited him onto the looter Shinji tossed out. In the meantime he leaned against the wall and waited for the two to return.
Once they came within speaking range Enro indicated the two men buried up to there heads in sand. " We can leave those two where they are and tie up the others with the cables hanging from the ceiling. Thanks for the help. If you still want to stick around all I will be doing is storing debris in here," ((Phone posts yaaay))
Turning the corner of the building, Shinji looked back at Reiko to see her dragging her prisoner across the ground and chuckled a bit at the site. He surmised that perhaps this was just easier for her then picking the man up, but still he laughed at the difference between how they had each dealt with the situation. As he looked back to Enro, he could see the large man carrying the man Shinji had tied up, putting him on top of the man he had thrown out of the room.
Placing his own unconscious citizen next to the two, Shinji nodded as Enro spoke and seemed to agree with him. "Sure, that works. Those two in there aren't going anywhere." Walking inside the building, Shinji took down some of the tubing from the ceiling and gathered up a few more materials they could use and dragged them all outside, dumping them in a pile around the time Reiko joined the group. "These ones we can tie up for the time being, but instead of gathering rubble, I suggest you use your wagon to transport these men to the authorities. This is the desert after all, we can't just let them sit out here and bake. As much as they might deserve it, we need to get them out of the sun and into the hands of whatever court the Sunagakure has for such criminals."
Shinji took some time tying up the unconscious men around them so that one hand was behind their backs and the other across their chest. Not the most comfortable position perhaps, but it would negate any chance for them to use their hands to do something, or use ninjutsu if they had a rudimentary understanding. Tying up four of the individuals, which he considered his share, he left them to Enro to move as he wished. "I don't think I'll take your offer just to stick around though. I'm sure this is just one of other instances of this sort of activity. I'm going to see what else I can do to stop this looting situation. Maybe I'll run into you two again. It was quite nice working with both of you."
Shinji then gave a mock salute to both of them before turning on his heels to go find some more looters and mitigate the situations he found. He was not walking so fast however that the others couldn't respond, or follow if they wished.

It took a bit, but eventually Reiko was able to drag the man all the way to the front with everyone else where he was promptly tied up with the rest of his accomplices. He had a small trail of blood leaking from his mouth, probably from biting his tongue or losing a tooth or two to her shoe. That's the least of what he deserved for taking advantage of his position, and while looking at him, she noticed the familiar color of her belt. She reached over far enough and quickly undid his hands to retrieve it. From his pained position it didn't have much of an effect on him. It didn't take long for her to fasten it about her waist as it had been before, thankfully clear of any dirt that may have marred it's, and as a whole her, appearance.
Silently, she agreed with Shinji on his decision to leave. Cleaning up even more scrap didn't really seem like something she wanted to do. And so far Enro didn't seem like that interesting of a character. He was tall, intense, and was of few words like she preferred to be. There wasn't much that she could probably lift from him in terms of interesting conversation. Besides, this brief scuffle with the looters was sure enough effort to have been considered credit to the mission. Maybe the red-haired boy would come along and help him with the debris. If he didn't, Enro was more than capable of doing the work himself with his muscled figure.
Reiko finally decided to herself to take the more interesting route and turned about to jog after Shinji, pulling out her water bottle in the process to take a quick sip from it. Despite his comment earlier, he was full of energy and wanted to get things done, which is something that she could agree with. Eventually she caught up with him and slowed to match his walking pace. "Hey, what's your name?"
Not long after he began to walk away, Shinji could hear the sound of footsteps jogging after him getting closer as he continued to walk. Keeping his gaze forward as he scanned for more signs of looting, Shinji grinned in secret as he could tell that the footsteps pursuing him were light, not those of a large hulking man, but more likely those of the woman he had worked with. Instantly pleased with himself for whatever juvenile reason his mind interpreted as success, Shinji let the grin turn to a smile as she caught up with him and looked over to her after she asked for his name...
"Shinji." he said with a smile as the two matched pace and walked together, "I am a shinobi of the earth country, though I would consider myself 'on loan' as it is to this village's service. My home village of the Iwagakure was destroyed if you were not aware. I came here seeking to continue my training and be of some use until I can return to my homeland with enough strength to begin rebuilding that which was lost." Shinji let but a small moment of silence follow his story as he looked about the landscape of the marketplace, scanning the area for any signs of trouble, but seeing none, he turned back to Reiko...
"So how about you? What's your name and story?" Slowing his pace down a bit, Shinji's eyes darted over to a spot behind one of the buildings where he thought he saw some movement, but seeing nothing there for the time being, he allowed his attention to drift back to the woman walking beside him, though he now kept an eye on the area where he thought he saw a flicker of movement in the shadows.

Reiko silently nodded here and there to show her attention to his conversation, also keeping a steady amount of eye contact.
"Oh?" She replied initially, taking a moment to absorb what he'd said. "I hadn't heard. I've been... busy since I graduated from the academy not too long ago." Taking a brief moment to glance around the surroundings just as he was, Reiko failed to spot or notice anything unusual aside from the lack of other people. Aside from those that they just left behind for the rubble. "Likewise, my name is Reiko, but I don't have a story to tell." It took a moment or two for her to realize that her left hand, farthest away from Shinji, was fidgeting in one of her pouches. She was quick to remove, attempting to cover it up my stretching her arms a bit.
"What exactly are we planning on doing? Just patrol while Mr. Universe cleans up?"

David's interest in the scene quickly faded as the fighting drew to a quick close, the final bits occurring behind the building where he could barely hear, much less see them. He got the treat of seeing a kunai fly into the back of a fleeing man, and sighed. With how quick the newer genin were to let kunai fly in the vicinity of civilians, the village would be lucky to have any left within the next few months. And he would be swimming in the paperwork and reports involved, since the ANBU felt it necessary to report every such incident to him, in triplicate forms. Most of the incidents recently seemed to be related to a Raphael Saki. First he drew a kunai to attack a pickpocket in the middle of Market Street, during the busiest time of day, and nearly impaled a passerby. Then the boy apparently attached some sort of human tracking seal to a kunai while on rescue operations, and did impale a passerby as a result. And during a hostage rescue, he threw a number of kunai at one of the hostage takers, missed, and sent them flying straight into a crowd of civilians. He was seriously considering taking away that boy's kunai privileges.
But now there was another, one of this group, that apparently intentionally threw a kunai into a civilian's back, looter or no. Sighing again, he decided to ignore the incident for now. The scene was quickly becoming boring. Shinji and the girl wandered off to look for more looters to beat up, Enro's leadership seemed to have ended to moment the operation began, and now the man was alone, apparently preparing to transport the captured looters someplace. Probably back to the administration tent, where they would be tied up in the red tape and just get in the way making things even more annoying and complicated.
With one last sigh, David released his "Chair", and stood up, one hand raised in the air over his head and flashing through a short string of signals. Moments later, a small group of ANBU materialized around the pile of looters and vanished once more, taking the men with them. Without another look at the scene or Enro, David turned and walked away. A few steps along, he decided to head back and see how the library was coming along. He fully intended to start his training again the minute the library was operational once more.
"No story?" Shinji repeated back to Reiko in an incredulous tone, "How is that even possible?... everyone has a story." Shinji did not press beyond that though, taking a moment to look at her was a single raised eyebrow before turning his attention back ahead of him. Out of the corner of his eye, again he caught a slight movement, but this time he did not move his head, but began walking towards a line of stores just as Reiko asked him what they were doing.
"Looking for trouble I guess." Shinji said with a shrug... "Seems strangely quiet though, don't you think Reiko?" Shinji turned to see what Reiko thought but then quickly ducked into an alleyway between two buildings, grabbing Reiko's right arm abruptly dragging her into the cramped space along with him. Raising his finger to his lips to quiet any response or protest she might give, Shinji allowed his glance to move to the back end of the alleyway and then moved into a small set of hand seals as he closed his eyes, whispering an incantation with only enough volume that Reiko could hear it... "Jihibiki Kansei no Jutsu"
Reaching out with his chakra, Shinji was aware of all movement on the earth around him and cancelling out Reiko's and his own impact, he was able to detect 6 other patterns not far away, behind the buildings they had passed. Opening his eyes once more, Shinji looked at Reiko and his quiet face suddenly grew to a smile. "Are you ready to have some fun? There's a small group of people over there... I saw flashes of movement out of the corner of my eye and I can feel them now. I can't be sure what they're doing yet, but I need you to confirm it for me. I'm too conspicuous and well-armed to not cause alarm."
"It's too soon to know if they are looters, but the fact that they are hiding from plain view is suspicious enough. Still, not all of them are necessarily being an active part of the thievery. Apparently, some have even taken hostages in the area to accomplish their means." Shinji stopped quickly and looked behind him to make sure they haven't been discovered and then turned back to Reiko with a coy smile on his face... "You on the other hand are the perfect lure, if you'll excuse the label. You've got more then enough going for you to distract the senses and if you can play it up right, you might be able to get close and figure out if there are hostages before I charge in and put anyone in danger."
Taking out a cloak from a pouch hidden beneath his clothing, he handed it to Reiko to disguise herself as more 'common' then usual, and then looked intently at her... "Can you do it?... Once you are in position, tap the ground three times... I will feel it and will arrive where you stamp your heels in a second. If there is a hostage, it'll be your job to protect them while I take care of the rest." Shinji then waited for a response, hoping Reiko would agree to all he had said.

"I su-Eep!" Reiko tried to speak by was interrupted when Shinji grabbed her arm and abruptly dragged her into an alleyway. Annoyed by the sudden forceful jerking and her now uncomfortably close proximity to his person, she prepared to protest. With a stern glance she was about to speak, but quieted herself upon noticing his non-verbal signal for silence. What reason could he possibly have for pulling her into here and shushing her? She stared at him quizzically and waited for an answer.
And as she listened, she was none too happy with what he was proposing. He wanted to have her walk out there as a lure, and attempt to learn their reasoning for being in the area. It was a great idea, though not one that was received well since she was the bait. There was nothing for her to grab on to argue with except that she didn't want to do it; but, being a coward and backing down from a mission wasn't something that she considered to be within her abilities. Now was a good opportunity to participate in a simple espionage mission and, with his assurances for back-up, would be an easy score for credit. Something that she could write down in her diary.
"Fine." She accepted. "But you better arrive as soon as you can." Reiko let out a steady breath to ready herself, and stepped back out into the open with the cloak in hand.
