"Ah," Fallow glanced over at Clyde, curiosity welling in his gut, "sandy? That does not sound very pleasant hmm."
The Púca gave out a snorting laugh and shook his head, neon bright ears waving towards Aurian when she spoke to him. He looped his lasso lazily around his hands and smiled at her in return. "Yes, very fun!" He chirped cheerfully, "I am glad you think so too." He rumbled in a delighted purr, eyes pulsing a vibrant neon green glow, his tail swishing back and forth in pleasure that someone else shared the same view as him. Back in Conquest, things had been so, ah, serious.
Oh right, Conquest. Clyde.
Fallow turned his attention back to his companion, lips splitting into a grin. "That sounds very odd, though I imagine there was a good reason for it." The question about classes made him giggle as he scanned the crowd for a final person to lasso. "Hmm. We put together... incenses. And then we tested our luck." He waved a hand slightly, glancing back at the other, "we also practiced manners with birds - adaras, if you will. They were not very pleasant, and cheated on us more often than not." Scoffing at the remembrance of his two-timing bird, the Púca's ears folded back. "And dancing." Which he remembered with mild irritation; especially the clothing.
"Ah, but what did you do?" Fallow grinned at Clyde, taking aim at another student as he did, "Famine must have been so different than Conquest."
He only looked back in time to see if his lasso made it around Sparrow's head.
It barely made it, but that made three!

"I most certainly was not," said Sparrow, rolling his eyes at Vaith as he pulled the lasso away from the redhead and swung it again, this time in the reaper's direction.
Just as he lassoed Vaith, however, a rope came down around his own head, making a nice, neat little line of chained together students. Sparrow peered over his shoulder at the culprit.
"Ah, hello," he said cheerfully. "Nice shot."

Different was a good way to put it. Abnormal sounded more correct in his personal opinion, but that's to be kept a secret.
"Famine is very different from Conquest. Dear Jack, for the whole week we were either working on a single charm or growing a dead seed that turns into a reed. We had to use rotting corpses of dead minipets as fertilizer or something for the seed and...I think the others used pelts? I don't remember. But yea, Alchemy, strange thing." Clyde could still remember the smell of the classroom and tried his best not to make a face. He eyes followed the lasso Fallow threw as it landed. He gave the Púca a thumbs up. "Now you're done!"

"Pfff, don't be silly, Vaith!" Aurian disagreed. "Of course you're already a great Reaper." No teasing this time, it appeared that Aurian was quite serious. ... But also easily distracted. She listened, rapt, as the horse-boil who'd just lassooed her talked about his time in Conquest. "I was wondering what the other Clans would be like," she piped up. "I was in Death Clan last week. We had things with incense, too, but mostly it was about making jewelry and putting FEAR into gemstones. It made battle so much fun!" Aurian still regretted that the students' gems hadn't had enough FEAR to last beyond that one week. It would have been so useful for student life - it seemed they were always fighting something or other. The others were still playing, so Aurian decided to keep going as well. She aimed another lasso in Vaith's direction, since she hadn't caught him the first time she tried. It worked this time and she cheered. "My prisoner now," she teased Vaith. Imryn was trying not to laugh at the interaction between the two Horsemen while watching and listening to the class introduction. So far the War Clan seemed quite a bit less.. stuffy... and proper when compairing them to the Death Clan, where she'd spent her previous week. Everything was out in the open and up in the air, and for once, she was somewhat happy that flying was her main mode of transportation. Getting around was going to be easy and there was no need to worry about falling through any holes in the flooring in their sleeping areas either.
However, she was a tad bit worried about their first assignment... glancing down at her claws and then over at the baskets filled with ropes and vines. Floating over to them, Imryn peered inside a little nervously while picking up a piece and going to try working it into something similar to what they were shown. Which apparently was harder than it looked to keep it in place, her first attempt unraveling right when it seemed to be looking about right.

Double lasso-ed by Sparrow and Aurian.
Vaith gave both of them the glance.
"I do lean both ways. Or really, I lean just one."
Maybe he was leaning left as he tried to get out of the ropes.

Sparrow arched one brow.
"Or really," he said to Vaith, concealing a smile as he glanced at the ghoul who had also lassoed him. "How interesting, Vaith."
He pulled the lasso from around the reaper and flung it again, trying to loop it around Mort this time. It went around a completely different person, but at least this time it was someone Sparrow knew.
"Ah, Jack," he said, and grinned. "I see you're on this island too."[ STUDENTS LASSOED: 3/3 (West, Vaith, Jack) ]

Oh.
"Hello there."
Fallow tilted his head at the chain of people lassoed that they had just created and his owlish stare split rather comically into a toothy grin. "Oh oops." He rumbled, trotting over to Sparrow to undo the lasso he'd made around the man. "Oh, and," Fallow leaned back, peering at Sparrow with neon glowing eyes, "thank you. I'm not usually the best with aim. I'm glad I didn't hit your... ah, well, anything else." Rumbling in amusement and grinning at Sparrow, Fallow retrieved his lasso and settled back, rocking onto the balls of his feet rhythmically, tail twisting around and around as he turned his eyes to Vaith, who had been the other part of the random-made chain.
"Nice shot as well." He rumbled in amusement, "you seem to have a knack for capturing others."
Looking over at Clyde, his tail wavered back and forth, quivering at the talk of what they'd been doing. Fertilizer? Dead things? How interesting. But then again, how... "The stench must have been horrible." Fallow rumbled, wrinkling his nose at the thought. "But at least you were not spending your time trying to butter up a bird, and not for eating either, sadly as it were." Fallow grinned at the idea, and laughed, roping his lasso around his fingers in mindless knots and patterns. "Yes, yes. Though I can only imagine that tomorrow's class will be - ah - even more interesting."
An ear cocking towards the sound of Aurian, Fallow turned and grinned at her, listening with rapt attention at the way she described death. "Gems?" He repeated with the slightest hint of materialistic longing and possessiveness. "Ahhh, Death sounds like such interesting fun. I wish we'd had time to visit all four. Conquest had many... ah, jewels. But most of them were embedded into their halls and trimming their robes instead of being used for - battle?" The Púca's ears perked up immediately, and the word left his lips with a shiver of envy and intrigue. "Ahhhh, you must have had so much fun! I am jealous; it would have been so interesting to see that sort of thing. Conquest was more interested in our... manners and luck with things instead of battling. And scents. They did enjoy smelling things. And frowning at our feet. Constantly." He remembered Kumiko as well, and nearly missed it for a moment before realizing how boring it sounded in comparison to the trials faced by students visiting Death.

They... would be lassoing each other? While Julian thought this was odd, if it prepared them for the classes ahead, he would do what he was told. They would be learning how to fight while riding? He'd never ridden anything before, not living anyways... Well, not in his humanoid form. He remembered resting on Tahki's back when they were both trapped as creatures in ChristmasTown.
So he started trying to tie the noose like Radha had done.

"Yeah, no, I only lean one way." Vaith replied to Sparrow, while turning to Aurian to smile and hold out his hands ina sheepish gesture. "Well, prisoner means you gotta keep them for longer than a minute. Which .."
He gestured the rope he had untied from himself.
Temporary bait might have been a better term.
Vaith tried again.
"Apparently, Sparrow, I might lean the other way too." Vaith grinned, as his rope finally stuck to the other reaper.

Walking over towards the group, Clyde nodded at the smell statement. "Yea, the Famine class smelled like a bunch of things died in there. And...lots of moths. You can ask those two, they were there too." Pointing at Sparrow and Vaith, they had been on Famine as well they can probably fill in the rest of what he missed. "I think every other isle had a much less dead related class then in Famine."
Clyde's eyes followed Vaith's lasso as it landed on Sparrow. At least, compared to the Famine isle, they were outside with fresh air and exercise. Sitting around wasn't his thing...even though he seem to have finished the one week class rather well.

Kettil peered at Mort and grinned a bit, "I bet you got all the ghouls swoonin', eh? Not just the horsemen," he teased lightly. He couldn't help it. The boil had set himself up for a light gentle congratulatory ribbing.
If an Owl could grin Endzela probably would be, "If he even listens at all~. He is a very naughty boil and difficult to keep in line~." She chattered at Amarus cheerfully as if none of this was out of the ordinary and as if Kettil wasn't right there hearing them.
"Thanks, Sparrow~, you got a pretty decent aim. Glad ya conquered the knot tyin'." He said in a chipper tone to the other boil.
Kettil nodded toward Mei, "It was a pretty full week. I wouldn't have traded it for anything," he said happily, "what did you do for the week?"

Aurian frowned. "Most people lean all ways, Vaith. What do you mean, only one? Are you injured?" She stared at the boil. He didn't seem to be listing in any particular direction. Did he maybe have a bad knee that kept him from leaning on it too much? ... Clearly, Aurian may have learned to flirt, but some insinuations still went right over her head. Aurian held a hand to Fallow. "I'm Aurian," she introduced herself. "Yes, there was a lot of fighting and things. Some meditation and offering of prayers. They're very big on praying, there. But they had some really amazing weapons in their forges, too." She still dreamed of that black scythe. So what if it seemed more fitting for a Clan Heir - Aurian dreamed of owning it anyway. She laughed and rubbed at the back of her head. "Conquest about luck? I think... I would have done very badly." Luck wasn't one of her strong points. Not today, at least. "Ah, I have to lasso one more, right?" she remembered. She was standing too close to Fallow for it to be fair, so instead she targeted a boil who'd been talking with Vaith. It struck home and tightened. Aurian quickly ran over to help free the boil, grinning the whole time. "Sorry," she apologised to Sparrow. "It didn't hurt, did it?" "Mrrr, yes, would not trade," Mort agreed eagerly and, in rising to Kettil's teases, draped an arm around Amarus and Mei with a large grin. "Yes, yes, cannot keep off. One leans all over, other ropes in! Take notes, is good for life tips. Am like man from commercial with cologne: smell like a man, man."
A new brain did wonders for Mort's level of confidence.
