The Kraken retreated and the seas began to calm. Overhead, the sun was setting.
... As for the sandcastle ...  IT LIVES (( OOC POST:
HP mistakes due to my math failz, got my calculator out and did the tallies
BOSS HP: 12
Sandcastle HP: 31
Since DHS has yet to roll, -5 HP for both BOSS and Sandcastle per roll
FINAL TALLY

Edel, now back to her normal size and made slightly sharper by the onslaught that was the kraken, seemed to have regained a little bit of her sanity.
"...I think i shall head over to the spectator's tent... would be good to get some shade..." the frost demon mumbled, a little specifically to Moure. "Good job there..." she spoke softly, leaning in to plant a quick kiss on the patckwork's cheek before heading off to the tent.
Alright, maybe she wasn't completely well yet. But that's ok.

He'd seeeeeen it. Roch was staring blankly at Moure even as Edel walked away. "Wait--what--you--that--did she just KISS you?" he yelped. "What the hell is goin' on?" he asked. "I thought Edel and that owl boil--"
He was so confused @.@

When they started to become their correct size, Moure lept from the shambled remains of his 'attack platform', clearing it just before growing. Now the correct size, he looked back at their rather pitiful (but still standing!) mountain of sand. They'd done it! They'd fought off a kraken and won! Sure, it was barely a victory (when one looked at the condition of their castle), but it was a victory none the less.
Moure looked over to Edel, a slight grin on his face. "We did it!" His expression faultered slightly she spoke, noting how tired she seemed. He gave a nod, still concerned for her icy-survival. "Of course. It seems we have some break time, so..." When she congratulated him on his good work at protecting the castle, his face became a little redder and his grin came back. He was about to thank her when she leaned over to him.
And then she kissed him on the cheek.
His brain was trying to click all of this together, and didn't seem to succeed for a good second or two. The shock and joy finally clicked together, alerting the patchwork to what had just happened. Then, Moure's face grew a little warmer (a strange sensation considering he was dead and all), and his grin became one of blissful giddiness. He practially beamed and he looked back to watch Edel start off on her way toward the Spectator's area, one hand reaching up to feel where her cold lips had touched his cheek.
Had the entire trial been worth it to reach this outcome?

Moure looked back to see a rather confused looking Roch. Still kind of giddy, he tipped his head. The purple-haired reaper seemed awfully confused. Moure's enthusasm couldn't be tamed though, not even by how Roch had reacted. "She did!" He gave a happy, perhaps giddy, chuckle, and spoke again, amusement and joy still across his face. "You didn't know? Edel and I have been kind of...together since after the field trip." Moure didn't know anything about any owl boils, but Moure just knew that Edel had kissed him. Edel had kissed him~
Moure looked back toward the refreshment area, grabbing his shirt and shoes from the sand where the umbrellas had originally been, tucking the shift in his pocket and slipping the shoes on so he wouldn't have to carry them. He gave Roch one last, still giddy nod, "Gotta run, I'll see you later!"
Happily, Moure charged off after the frost demon, "I'm coming Edel!" He raced to catch up to her. He arrived at her side and, like the good boilfriend he was, swept her him into his arms in a princess carry. She shouldn't have to walk in her condition, and Moure was so fully of giddy energy that he was going to make sure she didn't have to. He just barely resisted the urge to spin around, but Moure was still giddy as could be.

Roch stared after the patchwork, wondering why he felt a bit relieved. Maybe he thought Edel with Moure was a lot less disturbing than the menage e tres he had been picturing earlier.
Then he stopped, looking over the beach and groaning. He had to go over there, didn't he? It didn't look like he had much choice. With a sigh the punk boil tried to brush the sand off of him, then trotted off to go deal with a problem.

Aksaja just happened to still be in the air when they changed size and he made a startled noise, actually starting to fall for a moment before catching himself. He almost muttered something about warning them first, but then it registered a moment later that they had been "warned". Well . . . whatever.
With a soft huff, he landed beside their very sad-looking but still existing "castle"/mountain/thing. They'd survived. Hopefully that counted for something. Grinning, the lightning dragon followed the others over toward the spectator stands.
