It was so much work trying to amp himself up to be a great leader that Thackery almost completely missed getting their clue. Thankfully, Ash was there to help him out. Where would he be without him? There was certainly some truth to the saying that 'behind every good king was a pyrami-' Well no, that wasn't how that went at all. Maybe there wasn't really a saying for this. He thanked him with a kiss, inspected the clue, turned it upside-down, and inspected it again. When he was properly sure that he quite possibly had no idea what was going on, he passed the paper to Aymet, clearing his throat. "Yeah, uh, we got this."

Sheridan was standing with his arms crossed, his expression showing a hint (okay more than a hint) of annoyance. Not that that annoyance was in any way focused on his teammates, but rather on the horsemen and their apparent fascination with riddles. Was all of this really necessary? Really? Really? How often was an enemy going to hand them a piece of paper and say "if you solve this I'll give you something special!"? Riiiiiight... His tail twitched as he eyed the paper Sepheran had brought. Hmmm, numbers, of course it was numbers. Normally he wouldn't have minded numbers, numbers usually involved math. But this time, not so much. "Hmmm...I might have an idea of where to start." Maybe, maybe not. Don't over think it Sheridan, REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME! Don't remind me...

Alex basically just stood around with his hands in his pockets looking very unhappy. Scowling. Sulky. Pouty. Whatever. He hated puzzles. He always hated puzzles. Puzzles were the bane of his existance... Or was that fire? Either way, he left it up to everyone else to figure out, because jack damnit, puzzles were not his forte, and it seemed like Taryn and Mort had a handle on it anyways.

Puzzles? Yin had been very...useless really. With the very first clue, a string of numbers, he had realized he had been out of his element. Numbers + mantodae = look to the rest of the group and attempt to be useful until it was obvious that he was not. And then just trying to stay out of the way. Already he was the weakest link of their team. Rabid Ice Weasel QQ I shall make it up to you great leader Ol-j-man Let me distract you from my fail with my zomboil Rown Don't mind the boil fail QQ

Imryn sighed heavily, glancing down at the slip of paper in her claw and then back up at the representative. Right or wrong, they had given it their best shot and all they could do was hope for the best at this point. For not having known one another very long, things seemed to come together pretty decently... though she was still a tad wary of the reaper, as usual. Shoving any lingering hesitation aside, Imryn floated on up and turned in their slip of paper, returning then to the group to wait for the results.

In which there was much discussion, squabbling, writing, reasoning, questioning, re-questioning, over-analyzing, observing, re-questioning again, and flipping of tables.
After which Ren finally turned in their answer.

"Alright, let's do this!" Bea replied to Danny. Though the group seemed small, hopefully that won't put them in too much of a disadvantage. Bea turned her head when she realized they were missing a member. "Gene?" The ghoul was right behind her when she claimed she was bad at numbers. "OH, there you are!" Looking back at the clue, the Ditzies are starting to live up to its name. "uhhhhhh" Bea let out a groan when she realized she wasn't sure how to go about this either. All three ghouls were stumped. With only a few minutes remaining, Bea frantically scribbled their guess at the answer and handed it over to one of the clan members. When returning to her group, she gave Gene and Danny a blank stare, lips stretched from one cheek to another, and a simple shrug to finish it off. What else could they do? Hopefully, things will get better next time.

"Yeah teamwork!" Aymet hooted, undead and somehow livelier than the living reaper. The dracolich was more than happy to take the paper next, imagining he'd have some secret inner insight. It was a treasure map, wasn't it. It had to be a treasure map. He was all about treasure maps. "Uh." If he'd had a heart, it would have sank at the sight of the first clue. His wings drooped, and he gave Thackery the skull equivalent of a doleful look as if hoping that 2nd years had a mysterious and innate puzzle-solving power.

Angenora waved to the boil that was joining the group. "Sepheran, right? I'm Angenora Jewels." She introduced herself as she looked over to Sheridan with a nod in agreement. "Well, what did you have in mind?" She asked as she looked at the paper with the code on it. She crossed her arms as she tried to think about what it could mean.

After some scribbling, shouting, paper ripping, smacking, growling, stomping, pencil breaking, calculator smashing, and carefully resigned printing, West turned in his group's answer.

Thackery reached to give Aymet a comforting pat on the shoulder, yanking his hand back only a moment after. Too cold. Hell-born creatures were probably not meant to mix with really cold bone-dragons.
~*MAGICAL DISCUSSION MONTAGE*~
So excited to turn in their answer, the Cerberus was nearly tripping over himself as he approached the clan member. He handed over the slip of paper, head held high as he walked back to his group.

After a good bit of discusion and puzzleing things out the rather makeshift team thought perhaps they had come up with an answer....or at least the best they could come up with in the given time limits. Taking the slip of paper with the code written on it Zurine handed it over to the clan member.

Siddie blushed, her cheeks purpling a little, and seemed briefly like she was going to demur; but then she straightened her shoulders, nodded, and took the bit of paper from Shehk. "Okay," she said. "I can do it." The horseman clan member unsettled her, but she tried not to show it, handing over the paper with a respectful bob of her head.

Hel, like Mot, was not her usual self as well. No, quite the opposite in fact. She stood off to the side with her arms crossed and a sullen look on her face. With a preliminary trial that involved puzzles well…the reaper was of no help. First, puzzles like that weren't her thing, and second, she really was out of it. She could only hope there’d be some physical trials soon…if any. It was a good thing Riyo was the leader, and so clever as well.
The valkyrie just stood there quietly as the clue was debated out, and seemed relieved once the task was done, whether they’d get it or not. It would also be good to note, she was acting like Mot and Titus didn’t exist right now.

It really figured that while Riyo was in a chipper mood for once, the generally chipper and optimistic valkyrie was on the opposite end of the spectrum. Cat hood flipped back for now, the feline practically glowed as she watched Titus turn in their answer. Yesss. This would be good. This would be great! She felt confident. CONFIDENT.
Riyo was on something, wasn't she?
"... Something wrong, Hel?" The ghoul asked, trying not to smile at the valkyrie's blight. She needed to be supportive... As the handbook on leadership said. Supportive.
AND CONFIDENT!
"You should be happy. We're gonna kick a**. You like kicking a**, right?"
