His mind was snapped out of his downward spiraling thoughts as loud knocks erupted onto the tower door, his first instinct from home going straight into his mind; with a tight grasp, Edge was quickly in hand and a dark chain snaked its way up his arm before the Anima ran to the door and crouched protectively. With his left arm and a great deal of effort, he creaked the door open and pointed his weapon at the silhouette before his eyes widened a little, recognizing Liliana. Trying to maintain a general amount of calmness, seeing the expression in the seer's eyes, the Anima stood up and made a movement to place a hand on her shoulders.
"Whoa there, Liliana. Slow down, and explain things first."
”….and to the Shadow, we will return.”

Liliana stumbled forward, at a loss with the door suddenly removed from her reach. "Sun burns of death. A wave is coming to drown us. The Hand of Grix laughs as the souls pile at his feet. Infinite sands to touch the skin of the gods." Liliana couldn't even notice tears streaming down her face as she repeated the things she had been seeing. Her wild eyes darted around, desperately searching. "The Lord of the Dark Domain. His breathing Shield. The pure turned corrupt. The guide sent against the warriors unto this world. Death rides higher in the sky. We are loath to move. To rise and face the Hand."

Kinetav's words rang true, and louder still within his convictions. The young Anima would do well here. His would be a life of struggle and suffering, but Krayth saw the true faith his kindred spirit held in The Void. He hoped it would be enough to anchor Kinetav's resolve. The winds of change blew oft and hard. Krayth knew as well as any man how easy it was to be swept to darker places...
But his wordless reflections were battered away by the beating on the door. Small hands, hitting hard. The Anima's eyes glanced to Kinetav as he moved to the door, but The Void Lord himself did not rise. Beyruun slithered down from Krayth's neck, over the front leather laces of his jerkin and back onto the table where it returned to the shape of a slender knife; long and savage in its construction. It glistened like fresh ink as Krayth slid right hand over its handle. They both waited there, until the moment that Kinetav ushered Liliana through the door. Her garbled words might sound like madness, but not to The Void Lord. He'd learn too much of "Fate" and prophecy today to ignore he words.
-Bounding through the tunnel's dark-
Krayth rose from his seat, and as he did his dark frame suddenly faded. For am moment it seemed he'd vanish altogether, but a faint shade of his figure remained. The black that clung to the ceiling rushed abruptly downwards; filling the tower chamber like liquid within a vessel; the aphotic mass of shadows swirling to reclaim their rightful place within their Lord's chamber. Now, the Void Lord was out of sight. He remained in that near pitch darkness, glimpsing to what was beyond. His eyes rode upon Andalusia's blackest venues until they reached The Hidden Causeway. Open, facing the rising sun, illuminating the carnage that had dawned upon The Desert.
"VALDIIR!"
Adellos' voice pealed through the ghostly light of the cavern outside of Ul'Thran. The Void Lord's words matched the unseen Were-Beast's exclamation in all but tone.
"ANDALUSIA IS UNDER ATTACK!"
"Andalusia is under attack."
The Anima's outline could be seen again, ghostly among the near-lightless space that now embraced them all. It moved straight for the door as Adellos threw the tower's portal wide once more. He was human once again, and the sheen of sweat lit his silhouette with the glow of the fungii just outside the tower. Neither of the creatures' faces could be seen in the dark. "Telara and Uskarr are there now. We must hurry!" The Cimmerian Lord moved past Adellos as he responded. "Meet me there, Adellos. Bring Sephra's head and mirror with you." The Were-Gunner did not question the words. He did not even stay to acknowledge them. Adellos sprinted ahead of his former Lord, and Krayth followed in the cavernous echo of The Last Son's bootsteps. Even as he moved into the tower and began to make his way towards the tunnel back into Andalusia, sleepless and exhausted, his stride was sure.
The beasts responsible for Azur's were at his door. He would send them all away. "For Azur," The Anima said. "For Azur..." Beyruun hissed back.

Azura crept through the cavern, hunting...searching...smelling every scent in the air. She remembered well the scent of her former host and was eager to see her again, then use her for her own desires...tortorous, evil desires. Azura continued onward.

((In order to get to the Tower, you have to go through the tunnel and into the cavern. That means you have to go through Krayth, as he is at the mouth of the tunnel entrance. Also, the door to the Tower is currently open, with Kinetav directly in front of Lili. Please read the thread's first post then edit yours accordingly.))

Someone-thing- different... he could see its taint upon the creature's soul. The creature Cain von Cairn. The Anima didn't know how to react immediately. He was needed above. He needed to be above. He would not tolerate this plague's presence in The Desert anymore. He needed to eradicate it at its roots... but there was this... the miasma of sick and hate that oozed out of the Gunner Lord's purple flamed soul. There was danger above... but now there was even greater danger below, in the heart of his city. It had hid in plain sight long enough. It could not get any further. It couldn't get to Liliana... and without time to waste, The Void Lord was out of options for discretion.
"Lord Cain," Krayth intoned loudly; the Lord's name echoed eerily off the cavern's distant walls, as his shadowed face locked directly with Cain's. Krayth marked the Gunner's soul then and there, preparing for the worst as the Anima extended his arms out from his sides; his leading leg advancing a foor to brace himself against incoming force as Beyruun glistened in the dark at his right, watching...
"You will stop where you are." The Gunner would have little choice. He would not be able to move around this obstacle without it reaching him immediately. Cain wasn't fast enough, even when fueled by so much fury. The once-Seer would have to stop, or force his way through.

The demon laughed as he continued forward slowly, the gas turning toxic with each step, melting through the stone slightly with each push forward.
"Azura...stops for nobody...the seer will be mine once more....."

Liliana jerked into a turn to face back out of the tower. Her mouth gaped before she took off. She knew that presence. Her aura lit up, brighter than it had ever been before. "I know you parasite," she growled as she ran.

As she approached from behind him, Cain -Azura, as he called himself- stalked ever forward without signs of stopping. In another time, rested and ready for battle, The Void Lord might have been able to employ more insidious powers to stop the deranged Gunner... but there was a war upon the surface, and he could not overexert himself down here. He was running out of time. His solution was simple, and straightforward.
They were in the deepest, darkest reach of Andalusia. There was more darkness here than light could hope to banish. It masked the whole of everything -their bodies, their limbs; their faces, their weapons- in its tenebrous embrace. Here, at the mouth of the cavern, the faint glimmer of the cave's moss did nothing to alleviate the oppressive black around them. Krayth moved his extended left hand from his side to his front. Its fingers were straight and closed together; its palm faced "Azura" in a gesture to stop. A gesture that commanded action, but not from the Lord of Ernya.
In such darkness, no manipulation was needed. The black space around Cain became blacker -not in color, but in the definition of its substance. The darkness surrounding the Gunner froze, and with it would freeze the Lord of Ernya's body. It was no longer simply air. What was once intangible was now as solid as stone, and stronger than steel. It wouldn't matter where Azura sought to move. The way back was obstructed by the transmuted darkness that sought to bind him. The way forward was the same, and beyond his inky prison was more darkness. This malevolent spirit was trespassing in the darkest corner of Rykros' darkest city, in the presence of its Cimmerian Lord and two other Dark Avengers. Every inch of this place could be used against Azura.
Outside Cain's black prison, Krayth's eyes remained focused on the man-sized column of darkness that marked the Gunner's position. To the others, it would appear as little more than matte black on black. To Krayth, his second sight revealed the darkness' unblemished surface. He watched for cracks, and prepared. Cain was strong, but whatever Azura was was clearly stronger. If the prison did not hold, The Void Lord would be as ready as he could be. Beyruun remained at the ready; the black knife poised at Krayth's side as he finally addressed the Seer, "If you know then explain, Liliana. Now!" His words were not angry, but their urgency was unmistakable. The passing seconds could not be more precious. ❙❙❙❚❚❚❚❙❙❙❚❚❚❙❙❙❚❚❚❙❙❙❚❚❚❚❙❙❙❚❚❚❙❙❙❚❚❚❙❙❙

Transmute Darkness
RANK C ---- 40 Energy
Drawing on their powers and the knowledge granted to them, a Dark Avenger is capable of giving form and mass to all manner of darkness and shadow. Transmute Darkness can be used on any shadow or dark area, limited to the range of the Dark avenger's Shadow Manipulation abilities. A Dark Avenger pays the cost of this skill every time they transmute another shadow, and may only transmute up to two shadows in a single post. The hardness and attributes of the transmuted darkness varies by rank, as listed below:
Master - Transmuted darkness can only be broken by S ranked attacks or higher, or with a Strength of 10
Attempts to break free of transmuted Darkness using either brute strength or melee attacks requires a full post dedicated solely to breaking free. A Holy/Divine Light-based ability equal to or greater in rank than the Dark Avenger will render Transmuted Darkness back into an intangible state. Light-based abilities of lower rank than the Dark Avenger will drop the properties of the transmuted darkness down by one rank. This effect does not stack. Transmuted darkness may still shaped using Shadow Manipulation, as the material is still the stuff of darkness.The effects of this skill may be dismissed by the Dark Avenger, which can be done the post after Transmute Darkness is used at no cost to the Dark Avenger (except that the shadow cannot be manipulated until the post after the darkness reverts to its natural state) After 5 posts, transmuted darkness reverts to an intangible natural form. There is a 6 post cooldown that triggers after 4 Shadows are transmuted.

Cain's voice could be heard as Lili approached.
"No! Lili....she wants yo-"
It was muffled out as Azura resumed control, laughing maniacally and powering up. The aura was starting to amass within the seal and pushing out, slowly cracking and seeping through. Azura roared and with a terrible shriek like a wild banshee, smashed through the barrier. Luckily, it managed to keep her from moving for a short while, so she was open game.
"Hello there my little wh*re~ Have you come back to your master~ Or maybe...maybe you've come to see your loved one wither and die like the rest of those around you~ Either way, I will have you!!!"
Azura laughed more. The moment Cain heard those words, his body pulsated within the confines of his mind, stuck behind the prison of poisonous miasma. His anger swelled, getting ready to make a final push to regain control. He needed strength, and there was only one source. He breathed in the deadly poison gas, consuming it. His eyes glowed red, and Lili could sense it. Something was changing inside of him, an aura of darkness and fear.

(( Master [rank] transmuted darkness can only be broken by S ranked attacks or higher, or with a Strength of 10.As a Nightmare Gunner without an approved True Form, Cain has 6 Strength without using his gun, and 8 with. Unless you muster the energy for a real S Rank attack or have a documented way to buff Cain's strength to 10, he remains trapped through the next post. He could hear two voices within. One was Cain's; the other was not. Liliana's words did not comfort him. The Anima glared back at her in the darkness. "He will suffer the Law of the Desert if he harms any of my people. See to it he does not." He wanted to say more, but there was no time. With a glance back into the tower, Krayth hoped that Kinetav and Krona would act with wisdom and prudence. Hope was all he could offer them as he sprinted away through the darkness of the cavern's tunnel and back into Andalusia.
