DIROPS LOG, FEBRUARY 12 Another day.

Replacements are made.
On the Ukranian border, roughly equidistant between the Russian town of Shakty and the Ukranian town of Mariupol, a new day dawns.

Getting their cooperation was difficult, tensions still remain high, and heaving this much weaponry around scares them.

Despite the significant monetary investment in this facility, we were still ridiculed by the locals for setting up shop in such a location. I believe we're going to keep the nickname.

Facilities prove costly, as expected, and construction will take time, but by the end of February we will be ready for basic levels of interdiction. Research facilities are being prepared for a large transfer of personnel from DEMACIA, which will become our main manufacturing site. A garrison will be set up.
Operative input on codenames is appreciated. They will be contact team ARAM when fully operational.
DEMACIA reaches capacity in order to make the final push on research.

It pays off. Construction begins.

We get paid. More importantly, a good showing early on has netted us more monthly funding. Nob jangle needs to get up and running soon so we can keep up the trend.
We get a visitor off the east coast.

Sadly, they're already outbound out of the atmosphere by the time we're on site.

When living space is set up in Nob Jangle, I put it to use.
We begin constructing stores adjacent to living quarters.

And recoup some of the monetary loss.

This one is hovering near music City when we spot it. XCOM operatives are banned from making Elvis jokes.
Oddly, when it spots us, it breaks directly towards pursuit.
The tactic nearly works. It blows by interceptor 2, piloted by ILI.

Dogged pursuit, however, forces it to flee to ground.

UFO 6 is currently being shadowed by ILI outside of Port-au-Paix in Haiti. Contact team Maniac is en route. Operative Kath is benched, Operative Haru is back in the Ranger. New operative Kriel will be joining as a sharpshooter.

And while not every rifle is ready, we have enough for the squad to do a field test.

And hopefully we won't toast the fallen this time.
