There was only one, and just one conclusion that Salem could have possibly come to upon hearing such words. And he didn't miss a beat as his mind promptly came to that resolution, while unaware if he was correct or not, this man would go ahead with his assumptions. They hadn't served him wrong too often yet. "Oh-ho ho. My mistake, gorgeous." Salem said, nodding his head slightly towards her as a grin ear to ear came upon his lips, putting a hang on his chest seemingly apologetically, "You do have a very good point though. Extraordinary women such as yourselves would nary need the companionship of men with one another, arm in arm." And with that, Salem pivoted rather well on his right heel, to face Hiro with that grin still firmly in place.
"First, you dog. First woman you set on eyes on is paired up with a hottie like that." He began, under his breath, "That's gonna give me pleasant dreams tonight. Ten bucks on the one in purple being the bu-" And then he stopped, and looked a bit more closely at Hiro's face. Probably a bit more closely then Hiro would ever comfortably have Salem at, but it didn't really matter as Salem whipped back around, putting his violin case down. Bringing his hands together, using his index fingers and thumbs to make a box, which he began to look through after closing one eye, focusing on Tae's face.
A momentary glance back at Hiro brought a chuckle to Salem, his face easily giving away that he had caught onto something. What exactly? No one knew, it was just obvious that from here Salem seemed to be planning some sort of mischief. "Well, perhaps my intrusion upon your lovely night together could be redeemed with a song?" The musical talent suggested, opening his box and taking out his rather pristine looking violin, not yet bringing it up to playing position, he did fiddle with the strings. Seeing if they were tuned and tight or not. Which, of course, they were. However raising his right brow, Salem spun the violin's bow around his left hand.
"Of course, if you'd prefer I could just leave. Though poor Hiro here would just be heartbroken being unable to just say hello to the cute thing, hiding behind you miss." Oh, how he could only wonder if she would come to the conclusion of the pretense that Salem had dragged Hiro over with, that he fancied the girl in green.

She seemed surprised as his arrival, not that Kalay seemed to even notice this little detail aside from a faint smile on his face. It took her a moment to realize what words had been spoken, but as soon as she did, her face broke into a large smile, looking at the folder he had handed her. He admired the water, giving her time to look over the folder before she suddenly hugged him, laughing. She released him quickly enough, kneeling down to give Carbuncle a high five. The GF seemed to have no problem being picked up and actually curled against Lisanna as she hugged him. As soon as he was on the ground though, the GF was off, moving into the shadows without any hesitation. Kalay gave it a questioning look as it went before looking back at Lisanna as she spoke. He offered a soft chuckle to her comment. "I suppose you could say that. As for this, I'll hold onto it for now, but you may keep it. It's your report so you should look it over sometime." With that, Kalay pulled the folder under his arm and let her hook her arm with his.
"She might. It's hard to say with her though, she might be too distracted staring at Tae." If Lisanna did not know what Kalay was talking about, she would soon enough. From where they stood they could see the two, actually. Tae and Ellale standing together, though something seemed off. At first it took him a moment to realize someone was talking to them, but even more strange was Ellale hiding behind Tae as one of the young men seemed to be glaring at her. Kalay frowned, a rare frown on his face, as he watched, barely hearing Lisanna's comment. "I think they are..." Kalay said absentmindedly, pulling gently on Lisanna as he started over. He suddenly realized where Carbuncle was now though, the GF standing next to Tae and Ellale, looking up at the white haired boy whom looked a lot like Lisanna with a strange look. 'Kalay...' 'Don't start a fight.' This quick exchange between Carbuncle and Kalay was all that needed to be done before Kalay and Lisanna were close enough to hear the conversation at hand, or at least the end of it.
It did not appear to be as bad as he had original thought as he walked over, in fact the young man whom looked very much like Lisanna seemed to be trying to relax the tense atmosphere. Kalay wasn't too keen on how the other boy was watching Ellale though, and Ellale didn't seem too amused by it either. In fact, he almost wondered how long it would take before she retaliated. "You all seem to be having fun." Kalay said with a upbeat smile, looking at the entire group. Of them, Ellale,Tae, and even the young man (why did everyone look alike here?) that reminded him of Tae all seemed to be uncomfortable. On the other hand, the Lis looking young man seemed very relaxed and... well more like he was trying to entertain everyone. Just what had he walked into. This was certainly strange though. Kalay looked like Ellale, Lis looked like the violin toting male, and Tae looked very similiar to the other male. This was rather... odd. Still, Kalay didn't seem phased by this at all.
"It take it you're playing for the entertainment today?" Kalay said in a lighter tone, smiling as he viewed the group. He was very relaxed giving the air was less than relaxed. "I'm Kalay Laytos, an instructor here." He seemed relaxed enough, but Lisanna might have been able to tell otherwise, something was off, from how Carbuncle seemed to be staring at the blue eyes one, to how oddly relaxed Kalay's tone was. Usually he wouldn't have bothered introducing himself, or saying hello. He was too lazy to usually go out of his way for introductions unless others introduced themselves first.

There was definitely something off as Ellale hide partially behind Tae. This wasn't usually how she acted, and the reason most likely was being embarrassed. It wasn't very often that someone went out of their way to try to elicit an embarrassed response from Ellale, and given the situation it was pretty easy. There was something wrong though, and it took her a moment to pick up on what was bothering her. It was actually the other young man, with red eyes like Tae. He was glaring at her. At first she seemed startled, watching him for a moment before her expression grew a bit harder. What Hiro expected to receive by staring at her was not what he got, instead, Ellale's expression changed to one that was hard as she stared back. She still hid partially behind Tae, but it was pretty clear that Hiro and Ellale was glaring at one another. Ellale took a moment to glance up at Tae hearing her comment, before looking back at Hiro with an annoyed look. She watched as Salem turned sharply and said something quietly to Hiro, but what she couldn't really discern, she just knew she didn't like it whatever it was.
It was because of her focus on the two that she didn't realize a green ball of fluff had started to stand next to them, Carbuncle. When she did notice him, she blinked, noticing how Carbuncle watched Salem, but her attention was drawn back to the man as he tried to redeem his troubling them, not that it required such drastic action, with the thought of song. He played with his violin briefly, as if testing it for it's sound, before saying something more, getting a deep frown from Ellale. "If he wanted to say hello, he should just say it rather than glaring at me." Her tone was sharp as she glared at Hiro. It was rather clear she wasn't amused with being stared at, particularly as it wasn't the most friendly stare. He seemed like he was trying to scare her (ironically so), and it annoyed her. It was about this time that Kalay arrived though, with Lisanna in tow and suddenly they had a rather large group of matching people. This was weird. Ellale shook her head to focus on the task at hand before finally moving out from behind Tae, watching Hiro closely.
It was odd to hear Kalay introduce himself so readily, so much so Ellale cast him a confused look before brushing it off as the setting. Carbuncle was acting weird too though, not that she had any clue why. It just seemed the GF did not like Salem or Hiro, she couldn't really tell where his focus was. Either way, Kalay seemed relaxed as ever, though a bit formal. The good part about this was that it kind of drew the attention away from her, and more to someone else. She didn't want to talk to Hiro, he seemed rude and mean, so this worked well for her. She actually didn't know anything about Hiro though, just that he kinda looked like Tae, well and his name since the musician had said it.┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉ Magic

Lisanna felt him pull her and she fell into step beside him as he led her over to the small group. The atmosphere seemed a little tense and Lisanna thought both Ellale and Tae looked uncomfortable, as well as the young boy staring at Ellale. So when Kalay ironically commented on how they all seemed to be having fun she shot him a somewhat sceptical look, before smiling at the two girls in greeting. ”Oh my, you both look lovely! No wonder you’re attracting attention already…and the ball hasn’t even started yet.” Lisanna said lightly, hoping to diffuse the strange atmosphere. She looked over at Kalay as he introduced himself and though she said nothing, she could tell something was amiss. It was unlike Kalay to go out of his way to talk to strangers like this. Was he simply being a protective big brother? That might explain it. At least he was drawing the boy’s attention away from the girls, which might help them relax.
Since Kalay had introduced himself Lis thought she probably should as well and nodded towards the two boys. ”Lisanna Everett. I’m also an Instructor.” She offered a friendly smile, her gaze drawn to the violin the older white haired boy held. ”Hmm…perhaps you’re not one of the musicians at all, and you’re merely here to serenade all the pretty young ladies. Such deception!” She teased, clearly joking. ”I see through your plan, Mr…?” Lisanna trailed off, hoping he would take the hint and introduce himself, and perhaps his friend too. ”Forgive me, but it seems to me that you are somehow familiar….have we met before?” She asked, giving him a slightly curious look. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬⊰ ✮ ⊱▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬'I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

"Staring is a bit rude Hiro." Salem said, sliding his bow across the strings, a few notes being played, luckily nothing horrible that made one clutch at their ears in horror and scream in terror. Probably not making fast friends with Hiro at any rate, before he could egg Hiro on to at least properly introduce himself, extraordinaire that he was at meeting people, his attention was unfortunately pulled away from the situation he had 'caused to a man with similar features as the girl who disliked Hiro. That was a bit odd, however then again a older sibling looking after a younger one, maybe, was sensible enough. Yeah?
Lowering his violin a bit as Kalay spoke to them, Salem agreed with a simple nod. "It's a funstrrravaganza." Naturally rolling your R's made the nonsense word all the more fun to make up and throw out then it reasonably should have. However as Kalay began to address Salem himself, as the nameless 'entertainment', which was a fair enough thing he would suppose. If he at all cared or was listening to the green haired man at this point. No, right now Salem was being rude himself, as he admittedly was staring at Lisanna now.
Hair that matched his own, and eyes whose lovely shade of blue most likely rivalled his own in brilliance as well. Suspicious rose high in Salem, as did excitement. Though the day might have started off a bit snore worthy, had Lady Luck come by and just given him a bit sloppy kiss? Lovingly so, it seemed, as he didn't even need to guess on the identity of this woman as she introduced herself. "Everett..." He mouthed, repeating her words silently in his head for a moment as tears welled up in his eyes.
Salem now, really lost a bit of his composure, but in a happy way. It was a big, kind of silly happy grin that was slapped across his face as Lisanna spoke to him. By the time she had finished speaking though, Salem bolted past Kalay to her, wrapping his arms around his long lost- or found sister. As, well, he was probably more considerably the 'lost' one of this pair. Anyways, lifting her up in his embrace and spinning her around, he set his sister back down and nodded furiously for a moment.
"Y-yeah, we've met before... Around seventeen years ago." He said, wiping a tear streaming down his eye from his cheek, "It's me." He said, kind of assuming that she knew the full extent of the size of her family, like he did. "Salem," The musician began, overjoyed, "Everett."

Takahiro Limmari Hiro raised a brow at his companion. What was he babbering on about? Arm in arm with whom? Them or each other? Salem had a way with words that often confused Hiro. He didn't like being confused either. It was rather frustrating to deal with. Blinking as his 'friend' turned to him rather smooth like he stared still confused. Did he just call his sister a hottie?
"Yo-" Hiro was going to say but now he became a bit uncomfortable as Salem was staring at him. "What?" He snapped rather quietly but Salem was off being... Salem he guessed. The strange boy making a box with his thumb and index and then looking back at him. Had the boy figured it out? The reason he'd been staring? Or perhaps it was something else. Who knew with Salem.
He was about to say something to get them to leave the girls alone but Salem had beat him to it. Offering a song up to them. Great. Just what he didn't need. He let out a sigh shifting his feet and glancing up at Tae and then over at the girl behind her, who by now was glaring daggers at him. He blinked shocked. Why was she glaring at him? Had he unconsciously been glaring at her first? He hadn't actually meant for it to show, but clearly it had by the look on her face.
It took Hiro a moment to register the words that came from Salem and he whipped his head around. His mouth opening as if to reject the words the boy had spoken when the 'cute thing' had spoken up. His gaze turning towards her. "Heh... I'm sorry... I didn't mean to gl-" Hiro tried to redeem himself so he didn't have to deal with them the rest of the night before someone, actually two people, had joined their group one of them speaking a greeting to them.
Fun? Hiro thought to himself with a look that spoke otherwise. The only person here that was possibly having 'fun' would be Salem. However, he thought it best to keep quiet as the male introduced himself as an instructor. Even though the male was smiling and seemed relax, Hiro couldn't help but feel this was anything but. If he remembered right Tae had spoken about this Kalay Laytos instructor to their mother before.
Resisting all ergs to roll his eyes at the woman's attempt to break the tension he didn't miss her name. In fact it was the same last name as the boy standing next to him. He turned to the male next to him to confirm his suspicions and what transpired next he wouldn't have thought possible. Apparently the two siblings had been a part so long that they didn't even recognize each other. He didn't know if that was funny or sad. It brought him to gaze at his own sister who was staring at him. He couldn't tell what she was thinking and perhaps didn't want to know what she was thinking. He swallowed feeling the erg to just ditch this place. Honestly all Hiro wanted to do was get as far away as he possibly could from his own sibling.
Moving his gaze from one person to another he was just starting to get the feeling of being in a twilight zone. Was everyone in the group here related to someone? Salem and Lisanna, himself and Tae, and perhaps Kalay and.... well he didn't know her name. He'd put his money down that they were siblings if not related some how. Well, he'd had enough family reunion for one night. Perhaps he could walk away from this yet. He was sure, even though she was staring at him, Tae wouldn't stop him if he decided to break for it. He was more than enough uncomfortable with the way things had ended here.

He said pleasant enough words but that could all be front to something else, something that he was hiding and didn't want anyone looking too closely at. She raised a brow as she stated she made a good point. Again with the lovely coded words. She glanced down at Ellale before over at the two males as they were whispering now. This was almost annoying. If she had timed it right they could possibly slip away before the two would notice as the continued to whisper back and forth. That was until Salem turned back raising his hands as if framing them, or just her mainly. Her brow arched again. Their 'intrusion' as the boy so politely put it wasn't so bad, it was just her brother that was starting to make her upset. She wasn't entirely sure why either. As he continued to speak her gaze drew to Hiro, glancing quickly at Ellale as she spoke clearly not happy, before moving back to her brother. It was probably a good thing that Kalay decided to interrupt them at that time before she said something to turn up the fire in the group. She took a calming breath a hand cupping around her rips. The girl let her gaze lower to the ground her eyes closing for a moment before glancing up at Lisanna. A smile graced Tae's face at the woman. “Thank you Miss Everett. You look rather stunning yourself.” She spoke attempting to ignore her brother but that seemed fruitless. Most of the attention had turned towards Salem, as she later found out his name. The two had not only shared similar looks but the same last name. It clicked then as she watched the boy leap at Lisanna, lift and spin her around. He seemed overly joyed to have found her at last. Though, there was a nagging feeling that there was more to it than that. No matter jealousy rose up in her with a fiery vengeance. Her cheeks warmed at the feeling but other than that her expression was nothing but sadness. Taking a breath she turned, ignoring her brother standing awkwardly off by himself, to Ellale. “Shall we head up now?” she just wanted to get out of this Alice in Wonderland feeling. Everyone here was related to someone which was odd. And each sibling had a different relationship, ones that she was starting to envy. “I don't know about you but I'm hungry and I'm sure they have food up there." Even though Hiro wasn't staring at them, mainly Ellale, anymore she felt a protectiveness about the girl around him. It was almost as if instinct told her to putting her body between the two her gaze moving to the elevator. Besides their group was starting to block the entrance to the elevator and people would soon be crowding to get on and up to the floor where the ball was to be held. ღ OOC: ღ

Well, he certainly hadn't expected Ellale to suddenly speak out, snapping at the boy that looked like Tae. It was entertaining to hear her though, showing that she was at least getting back into her usually self as she seemed to bristle at Hiro. While this was entertaining, Kalay turned his attention back to the Lis-doppleganger-boy, Lisanna was complimenting the girls, but he could tell she felt something was off with him. She did good to try to disarm the situation though. She introduced herself like he had, picking on the young man that looked so much like her. She hesitated though, asking if she knew him from somewhere. Well, If Kalay had to say anything they looked related, so perhaps she had seen someone like him when she'd stared in a mirror, but that hardly seemed the time to pick on her about, mainly as the young man seemed to react so strongly to Lisanna introducing herself. A wide smile plastered itself on his face, and he pushed passed Kalay (though Kalay really just turned sideways and blinked) and embraced Lisanna, spinning her around with so much joy that for a moment Kalay wasn't sure how to react.
"I thought you looked awefully like Lis." Kalay commented, though it was a thoughtful mumble rather than him speaking it aloud. So the young man's name was Salem Everett, the same as Lisanna, and judging by how much they looked alike, it was hard to deny they were related. Kalay would go as far as to saw Lisanna's brother, but he didn't know that much about Lisanna's past. He was far too lazy to go digging into files, aside from ones he probably shouldn't. Either way, he knew Lisanna had been an orphan, but that didn't mean she didn't have family. Well, looks like luck had dropped on her today, and him apparently, to be reunited. Carbuncle seemed very puzzled as he looked up at the two siblings though, Kalay chuckling as he shook his head. 'Don't over think it.' He teased his GF, whom pouted up at him before padding over to sit next to his feet. On the other hand, it was clear at this point that Tae was ready to go as she was speaking with Ellale about going up to the ball floor. Kalay cast his sister a smile before reaching down and picking up Carbuncle whom seemed content to be in his arms again, and more level with Salem than he had been before.
"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Everett." There, introductions were completely done on that side of things, though he still hadn't gotten a formal greeting from Hiro, as Salem had called the other boy. Regardless, that seemed like a rather minor detail considering the more major detail of familial relations between Salem and Lisanna. With this in mind, Kalay watched with curiosity to see how the elder Everett would react.

Then she returned her attention to the white haired guy to see him mouthing her surname, looking…well shocked. There was no other way to describe his reaction to her. And…were those tears welling up in his eyes?? That was somewhat alarming in itself. Feeling a little nervous now Lisanna opened her mouth to speak only to be taken completely by surprise as the guy pushed past Kalay and lifted her off her feet in a sudden embrace, spinning her around before placing her back on the ground before she had chance to react. ”Woah..! H-Hey now…” She gasped, grabbing his forearms to steady herself and taking a slight step back once he let her go, her eyes wide with surprise. Being hugged by a complete stranger was certainly not what she had expected when she introduced herself. And then he spoke…
Lisanna blinked, staring at him blankly for a moment before the significance of his words seemed to register in her mind. They had met before…when he’d been born…because they were siblings. ”I-It’s not possible…” She breathed, clearly shocked. Of course it was definitely possible...it was just almost unbelievable to Lisanna that she had a long lost brother, who happened to turn up at the Seed ball. ”Salem…” She repeated his name slowly. There was definitely a resemblance in their appearance, which apparently Kalay had also noticed…was it really true? ”I never knew my parents…I never knew about you…” She said faintly, meeting his gaze. ”How can you be sure…?” She finally asked, wondering if he had some shred of proof….though what, she didn’t know. Part of her was warning her that this might be a trick of some kind, since it seemed too unbelievable to be really happening…but another part of her really wanted him to be telling the truth. Did she really have a family? She wasn’t all alone after all…? She glanced across at Kalay with a slightly doubtful expression, as if she hoped he would reassure her that this wasn’t completely out of the realms of possibility and that she wasn’t simply being naïve. From the way Kalay formally greeted Salem, it seemed he was at least willing to believe it. Feeling slightly reassured by this Lisanna looked back at Salem, still with a vaguely stunned expression. Almost tentatively she reached a hand up and lightly touched his cheek. ”My little brother…” ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬⊰ ✮ ⊱▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬'I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Normally Salem would have chuckled at her question. How could he be sure? Did he honestly come across as the type who even bothered with things like 'evidence' or some such nonsense. No, he was far, far too brilliant like that. He was like Sherlock Holmes or Batman, he figured it out and let everyone else catch up, even if he was lacking evidence. With a sniffle, managing to pull off a smirk as this was one of the few times he actually had something to help prove this. "Evidence for it is kinda hard to pull together..." He said, beginning to reach into his back pocket to withdraw his own wallet, he found his hands fumbling to not drop the damn wallet as he felt her hand touch his cheek.
"But honestly, Lisanna Everett isn't a name you come across twice..." At least not in this world, not that he had noticed. Sometimes common names repeated, but so far in all of his times through the land had he rarely met any repeating names that weren't the bare basics from less then top mark people. And, as he knew, his parents were far from average. However, with her speaking about him being her little brother, he allowed his mind to ignore the fact she was ignorant of her family. Of their bloodline. "Not to mention..." He began, finally opening his wallet and slipping out a picture.
It wasn't too very big, and definitely worn. Small tears along the edges and a diagonal line going across it from where it was bent for overlong. However, the focus of the image, Mother Everett holding Salem, no more then a babe, and Father Everett holding toddler Lisanna, all dressed up for the family portrait. On the back? Small words scribbled out in feminine cursive merely adding context, 'Salem and Lisanna's first picture together.' though whatever else that was written had either worn away or been smudged out. Heck, just what was legible was difficult to read as it was.
However, as one of the few purely comforting things of Salem's life, it always meant a lot to him. As did the fate of his missing sister, whose details had always been ignored whenever he had asked about it. "It's not much, but it's all I got..." He said, his smirk slipping into a simple smile. Finding it hard to keep up any part he had in mind to play. "Hah, even after so many years anticipating this moment... I still have nothing to say." Which was sad, talking was one of the he thought he did well.

She took a deep breath and looked at every aspect of herself. Her long curled hair that was pulled back, her flawless looking face, her dazzling eyes, and how her body fit perfectly in the long blue dress that she was wearing. She had pearls in her hair and long gloves to match her dress. She lifted her gloved hand and looked at it, curling her fingers then uncurling them, attempting to believe she looked like this and that she was going to the ball. How did Nona talk me into this she thought as she pursed her lips and turned her back on the mirror. I should just back out and say I am sick. Though it sounded like a good idea she could already see Nona barging into her room and yelling at her for letting Nona make a fool out of herself then not going to the ball then dragging Sophia down the hall to the ball room. A sigh escaped Sophia lips, coming to the decision that it wasn't worth it. She would go and try to have a good time.
Sophia had originally wasn't going to go to the ball but Nona had expectantly come to her dorm and asked her to help her out. Sophia being submissive and nice accepted without telling Nona that she wasn't going to the ball. Once Nona found out... well there was no saying no. Not to mention that Tae went through all the trouble of doing her hair and making sure she looked perfect. Perfect for who though? A blush appeared on her face when Lloyd came to mind first. Stop being silly! I don't need to look perfect for him! She thought as she shook her head to shake off the blush. It was time to make her way to the ballroom
Once Sophia came to the door of the ballroom she chewed her bottom lip and hesitated when she came to the corner where she could hear everyone. She felt her heart skip a beat and her stomach turn upside down. I can't back out now.. Her small delicate fingers gripped the side of her dress as she walkeda round the corner. Her heals made small clicking sounds into the room that was filed with the whispers of a few people. The ball had not started yet. As people looked her way Sophia gulped and scanned the hall way. Once her eyes laid upon the sweat treats on the table it made its way to a very handsome looking Lloyd. A blush appeared on her face but she seemed to find comfort in him. She pushed a few strands of hair back out of her face and made her way gracefully over to the food table where Lloyd was standing. "H-hey Llyod... You look really good tonight!" She smiled and shyly fiddled with her fingers. Her eyes reverted to the treats suddenly realizing things got awkward between them. "H-how is the food?" Attempting to change the subject.

Even if I can't win against anyone, I won't lose to myself. But for sure, my losses will make me grow stronger! Lloyd had been cheek deep in a stack of lemon bars. This whole ordeal thus far had been quite the trial for him. The more he thought about Sophia the more he desired a "sweet" distraction. He had seen Riyel take a seat near him and he greeted him with a muffled hello. The sight wasn't pretty, as powdered sugar frosting coded his lips and his cheeks were full of lemony goodness. As he was hunched over the table of treats like a mongol, there was a feminine voice speak out behind him. His eyes widened as he slowly turned his head enough to see a stunning Sophia standing there with the sweetest smile on her face. On the other hand, Lloyd looked like a chipmunk in a suit. His cheeks were fully extended and red from embarrassment, his eyes wide, and white powder coated his mouth. Oh god this couldn't be happening! What could he say?! Think Lloyd think! "Muur~" he muttered.

Riyel "The Quiet One" Vicaria Now I think I understand How this world can overcome a man Like a friend we saw it through In the end I gave my life for you Gave you all I had to give Found a place for me to rest my head While I may be hard to find Heard there's peace just on the other side

Riyel looked over to Lloyd, as he grasped the appearance of Sophia. It was obvious that Lloyd held feelings for Sophia, no matter how times that he would deny it and the fact remained that it was even funnier to sit there and watch his blonde friend squirm. At first, when Lloyd tried to talk to Sophia, with his mouth full of food...Riyel...giggled. Then it turned to chuckling at the foolish look on Lloyd's face...and then it erupted in full blown laughter, Riyel's voice ringing loudly as he gripped his chest from the pain of the laughter. It was just...too...much. Riyel kept on laughing, falling out of his seat before standing and walking away, choking as he grabbed something to drink, his face beet red from the amount of laughing. Once again, Riyel was proven correct. Lloyd was indeed....a monkey.
▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§ I hope it's worth it Here on the highway, yeah I know you'll find your own way When I'm not with you

"Headmaster, it is about time." He whispered, eyes closed and expression serene as sculpted ice. "Ah, is it?" As if he had been lost in the time, the older man reached down for a silver pocket watch, flipping it open and glancing at the hands on the dial. "So it is! Well then, we mustn't keep them waiting any longer than we have, I'm sure they're all excited to begin. Gentlemen," Shutting the pocket watch, and looking back at the two men who sat on the other side of the desk, the headmaster smiled amiably as he stood, tucking a hand behind his back and holding out his right hand for either men. They shook firmly, and the headmaster continued. "We shall have to carry out the rest of this discussion at a later time. We can discuss the rest of the details when the ball is over. Until then, do enjoy the party. My grandson has worked hard to see tonight that everything was perfect." Sou-Ho's facial expression tightened for an instant, the serene mask he held cracking for a second before he quickly he composed himself again. 'If something doesn't go right, I take the fall for it.' Sou-Ho thought, opening his eyes and catching the gaze of the headmaster, his grandfather's icy gaze holding his for a moment before turning back to the two VIPs and smiling once more. "Shall we?"
The doors to the headmaster's office opened at last, this time staying open as the three older men, one dressed in the attire of a politician, the other two in military uniforms with colorful medals from their time in the military, and a younger man stepped out, like the latter two men dressed in a formal military uniform, although one done in the style of Winhill Garden's SeeD uniform and bear of any medal or decorations that marked him differently from any of the other male SeeDs participating in the ball that night who had been less willing or fortunate in acquiring a special outfit that evening.
Stopping a bus boy and taking a glass of wine from off of the tray, the Headmaster held up the glass and with his finger tapped on the glass. The ringing only caught the attention of those nearest, but like a wave silence fell over the hallway. 'A tap of the glass and immediately he has all of their attention.' Sou-Ho thought, wondering if all Headmasters commanded such authority. He had met with the other headmasters from the other Gardens, when the Headmaster would take him with him on meetings and conferences, and as a student and an operative in the other gardens he got to experience different ways of instruction, and work under different systems that had taught him to adapt, but he hadn't ever gotten the chance to see them at work. At least, not like this.
"So, before we begin, I would like to give a toast to our young graduates! Congratulations, my young seedlings, on a job well done, and for all of the hard work you have put forth!" Raising his glass, the hall was filled with the resounding sound of clapping and applause, as the young cadets, now young operatives, were all put on the spot. "Now then, while I have your attention, allow me to direct you to the location of our main event."
People parted as the headmaster, followed silently by Sou-Ho, walked with a casual ease down the center of the hall. Those he passed followed, and those who stood before waited to see where he would go. The headmaster directed them group, those going anyways, down a separate hallway to the side, leading them down the curving hallway with it's wood panel walls, red carpet, and crystal wall lights. A quaint hallway, that was refined and distinct enough to fit in with the rest of the floor.
When they reached the end of the hall, coming to a pair of gilded white doors, with crystal clear windows that hinted at what lay on the other side. Pausing at the door, the headmaster turned around, facing everyone who had followed and raising his hand in order to get their attention once more. "Before we continue, I would like to take this moment to give a last acknowledgement. I would like to congratulate my grandson, Sou-Ho, for his hard work these last few days. While recovering from the same mission that all of our graduates attended, he has been working non-stop on preparing for you something very special this evening. While I have normally handled these events myself, I have taken a step back this year to let my grandson take a more active role in the going-ons of the Winhill Garden. With any luck, we shall see the fruits of his labors this night."
There was some applause as the headmaster spoke, but Sou-Ho remained facing away from the people gathered behind, eagerly awaiting to go inside. 'Damned...' Sou-Hou thought sourly, cutting himself off and steeling himself even further before cursing his grandfather further. No, the headmaster. The headmaster smiled again at Sou-Ho, without a doubt aware of Sou-Ho's feelings. "And without further ado..." But before the headmaster could finish, the PA system kicked on, and on perfect cue; the Announcer spoke.
"Annnnnnnd good evening, ladies and gentlemen! It is with great honor that I announce the beginning of Winhill Garden's 11th annual SeeD Ball! This is The Announcer speaking! And having fully recovered from a near fatal encounter, which I have been very, very pointedly, asked not to disclose any information on due to the nature of the encounter, to share with you the line up for tonight! Or at least those of you attending. For those of you not, don't worry! You'll get your chance, if you haven't already! Headmaster, if you could!"
Sighing, the headmaster shook his head, rubbing his temples as he approached the doors. "I will have a long talk with that young man..." He sighed, pushing the doors open and stepping inside, revealing what await beyond the gilded doors.
Immediately, one would have been hit by the intensity of the room. Gold, was the only way that one could possibly think to describe the room. The whole room glowed with a type of beauty that one could only dream of, or perhaps even find in a some fantasy storybook involving a princess and a trip to a ball. The room opened up immediately onto the dance floor, which took up most of the space in the ballroom. Those not immediately taken in by the surrounding environment would have noticed that the floor itself was a decoration within the room of dazzles, the floor painted and glazed over, the image a blown up but highly detailed version of the the highly recognizable SeeD emblem.
Those less interested in the floor, or slower to take notice of the emblem crafted into it, would have likely stared at the expansive windows which covered the entire wall of the front of the room. Dark as it was outside, one would not have been able to see out of it but instead would have seen the golden reflection of the room they were walking in, and seen how the dishes set on the dining tables, tactfully placed on either side of the room near the front, glittered and shown like stars in a sky of gold. Of course, those looking at the window could not have failed to miss the band who stood on the stage before the window, instruments at the ready moments before the group was admitted to the room and playing the instant the doors opened, filling the room with a symphony to catch ones heart and imbue it with energy.
On either side of the rooms, there were stairs which led up to balconies above, which were open to people to go up and walk along if they wished to admire the view of the ballroom from above, or even bring themselves higher up so that they may look up and out of the skylight which composed much of the ceiling, like the window behind the stage reflecting the scene below to any who looked up in awe.
And though no one had found it yet, there were a set of doors, each one on either side of the stage, the led out to an outdoor balcony just beyond the window. Outside, in the cool fresh air, one would have been greeted with a more humble, and quiet atmosphere. A cool and comforting darkness as one explored the stone balcony, with it's lion fountain and little garden made to bring a little life to the place. But what might have really drawn the eyes, were the stars. Bright and shining forth like no other evening, it almost would have seemed as if the stars had come out in full this night for the ball that night, the stars and moon, full and round, illuminating the darkness and casting everything in a serene glow.
Inside, the warm and glowing atmosphere welcome those who entered the ballroom, just like the waiters and waitresses who stood at hand, carrying trays with transient glasses and fancy finger foods stood by, smiling warmly in their sharply tailored uniforms. It was indeed a scene to behold, and one many might not have expect for a garden as small and rural as Winhill.
'Perfect.' Sou-Ho thought, allowing himself to smile in quiet pleasure. Things were exactly as he had planned, if a bit more extravagant than he had intended. It had indeed taken a lot of effort in order to see everything prepared exactly as planned, and one which had taken more time than what the last few days had offered, Sou-Ho having been organizing this since well before the examination.
"On top of the extravagance of the ballroom, which is rarely open to the Garden but for these special occasions, tonight you will all be entertained with bands and musicians who have been brought here tonight in order to perform specifically for you! From classical music, to perhaps something a little more modern (for you young folk), all styles and genres of music shall be played this night! And for those of you who can only dance to a specific beat, don't worry! These talented musicians are willing and able to play whatever songs you request! And for those special numbers they might not, don't you worry! The Announcer's got your back!"
While The Announcer went on, listing off the bands and the musicians who would be performing, Sou-Ho tuned him out as he stood back, close to the headmaster, and watched as people poured into the room and dispersed to do their own things. Both men were silent, except for when someone or a group approached to speak with the headmaster, and stood watching in almost near likeness of each other for all they let on. "Have you assembled your teams, yet?" The headmaster asked, not looking at Sou-Ho as he spoke. Sou-Ho was silent, considering what to say for a moment, before making a motion which might have been a shake of the head. "It will be done tonight." The headmaster nodded, turning away as he began to stride to a different part of the room.
"Don't forget what rides on this mission, and what will happen if you fail. There is more at stake than just children, Sou-Ho. So much more." Sou-Ho remained where he stood, hands clasped behind his back and posture as stiff as a statues. 'It's what will happen if we succeed, that I am worried about.' He thought, fearing either results, and hoping that those who he would be dragging into this would forgive him when this one done. No, even if they did, he would not. Could not. Not for this. Not for... 'I will let them enjoy this night of peace.' He thought, sighing softly. 'They deserve this much, for all that lies ahead.' But just how much, even Sou-Ho could not fathom. Indeed, maybe even no one.

This was starting to not look fun, not in any shape or form in Ellale's point of view. She didn't like Hiro, even though he looked a lot like Tae, and she didn't like Salem, though he was tolerable. Actually, the girl couldn't quite grasp why she felt so much unease about the latter one. He seemed friendly enough, so perhaps it was just her nervous getting the better of her. That was entirely possible. Of course, the entire situation got better with Lis and Kalay, or at least Ellale thought so. Still, Ellale was just as surprised as the rest with the revelation that Salem bore the same last name as Lisanna. Ellale was surprised with the sudden jovial show, but it seemed perfect for what Tae wanted, asking if she'd like to head up now. Ellale nodded, though the nod suggested she wasn't all too sure of what was going on, and hence not fully there. She smiled up at Tae though, breaking away from the actions of those around her as she focused on her partner. "That's a good idea. This is getting really weird."
With that, Ellale tugged on Tae's hand, basically skipping up the steps and returning to what Tae would have no trouble remembering as the usual Ellale. She looked to be in a bit of pain still, even with her free range of motions, but she seemed to be careful so as to not aggravate her injuries to much. As most of the students had already gone up, the reflection pool was almost silent aside from the group standing near the elevators, and the elevators had long since gone silent. Without any hesitation, Ellale released Tae's hand and skipped into the elevator, twirling as she did, her dress reflecting the light off whatever material it was made from making the green color more noticable. She then came to a stop with a smile and waited for Tae to enter before pressing the button for the 3rd floor. With that, the two were on their way to the ball.
The elevator ride was long, so the two were in for a trip when they got in, but it was a rather breath taking sight, no matter how many times Ellale saw it. They got to watch as the glass elevator ascended, moving upwards and upwards, giving a brief look out onto the land that they had been across many times in their time of being at Winhill. With the stars in the sky, and the darkness of night, it was a little hard to see far away, but she could still see the grass of the Garden swaying in the wind. She'd come a far way from the child she'd been upon coming here, though really she could have still been called a child. It was funny how time changed people. "So we're SeeD now... I wonder what it means." The girl pondered aloud, not that she expected Tae to answer as they got closer and closer to the festivities. Perhaps she would get her answer with time though, so Tae would not need to answer her.┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉┉ Magic
