Man what a b***h. Clint almost wished he was with Piglet instead of this chick, at least Piglet was quiet until he cracked up. "If any of us are alive after this, you can put whatever the hell you want on my tombstone," he said quietly. "Hell, grow the damn things on it, if it makes you happy." It was times like this that he wished he'd taken up smoking. The agonizing wait for the next monster to show up, the annoying people that thought it was smart to make "friends" on these missions, it was worse than fighting ever would be.

Stepping over towards Cathy, Julio shook his head before giving her a bow. "Please. Just Julio is fine," he grinned, "I apologize that my barrier wasn't quite as effective as planned. The creature was weaker than I thought it would be. But! It is the thought that counts, no?" With a pleasant smile, he took a step back, then leaned against his weapon lightly.

Not seeing anyone else of any particular interest right now Jess shot her gaze back at Clint.
"Hmm, good reason at least not to die. Getting to desecrate the remains of a sunflower sounds like fun." Burying him and growing sunflowers was the last thing on her mind. Her brows furrowed a bit as she keenly sized up the shape and size of his skull. An edge of creepiness to her stare. At least she hadn't kept it up for too long.
"While I'd love to p***y around with you some more, I've got a job to do." With that she stood and attempted to start walking back towards the portal and prepare herself there.

What sucked... what sucked so much that he almost groaned aloud over it, was that he didn't have anywhere else he could be except standing in front of that same damn portal, waiting for the same damn thing as she was. Reluctantly he followed her, since he was patched up as well, and stood a few feet away, checking the links of his chain meticulously. "p***y," he said abruptly. "Is that what you call what we were doing?"

She stiffened slightly at the bow; great, he's being friendly. Now what?
"Uh, okay, Julio," A nod followed and she paused, looking at where the creature had been a moment ago; sometime told her that it was too easy... Maybe those were only the babies. She had seen scenarios like these before...
"It's fine," She managed a more genuine smile this time, "I'm sure the barriers will come in useful another time..." Because they all know that this was far from over.

She smirked, ohh did she smirk. Not that he could see it, as her head was still in a position that turned her face away from him. Drawing a slow but deep calming breath before turning her gaze around at him. A glutton for abuse apparently.
"No. I'm not-so-subtly implying you are one." She spoke with a sing-songey beat to her words as if she were speaking to a child rather than a grown man.

He looked at her, then, with an evil little smile, moved back a step and to the side so he was standing behind her. "Friendly fire," he said quietly, "real b***h in a fight, don't you think? But it does happen." He went back to checking his chains, clink, clink, clink.

"Oh, I'm so scared." She said sarcastically while rolling her eyes.
"I'm sure you'll manage to somehow miss and kill yourself in the process." She spoke in her usual subtly mocking tone as if to say without saying, 'I dare you'.
Jess was unnerved a bit though. She was a b***h but she wouldn't threaten her own teammate with any severity and a sun hunter... well. A sun hunter is a sun hunter. You can't trust them to have your back let alone not stab it.
Still. She felt the need to swing her gun around and loudly c**k it herself while mentally adding. "I see your ball and chain and raise you a gun to the face." A remark that kept just there, in her mind.

He only offered Heidi a nod at her thanks, no more no less was needed in that moment, instead he focused as another creature emerged from the portal. Indeed Gabby didn't need to remind him about anything. Thought he didn't take a shot he made sure to keep Caine trained on the monster as Abel was reloaded and armed. It would seem he didn't need to take a shot at all.
For now things seemed to settle down and he was free to lower his guns and glance at Gabby an eyebrow raising, "Trying to invite people to movies and not me? Hell girl that's cold even for you."
He started to look about frowning, "You know I figured more things would have crawled out by now. Wonder how the folks inside are doing."

FROM THE PORTAL EMERGES... HP: 200 The portal seems darker than usual, though the shadow does not become apparent until it reaches its claws out...it really doesn't look too enthused to see you waiting for it.

Jess shrieked at the extended claw and instinctively aimed the cocked gun at it and blasted. She barely nicked the creature so it still scratched her good across the face. Blood trickling down her face as she shot a semi-blinded accusing glare over her shoulder at likely nothing. Damn sun hunter distracted her. She faced forward again and raised and leveled the gun trying at least to appear threatening while repeatedly blinking that eye trying to clear the blood out of her vision.

That was enough screwing around, Clint told himself as another monster stepped out. He moved to the side, then forward, moving in to attack the... what the hell was with that face? Did all of the monsters using this portal look that stupid? Or was it just him?
Oh well, stupid looking or not, it needed a beat down. Then he barely hit, because the b***h just SCREAMED FOR NO REASON. "What the HELL?" he demanded.

"ANOTHER, get down!" He stepped past Gabby putting her behind him as she snapped up both his revolvers, firing towards the new creature. They all seemed to be the same black inky mass trying to break free and kill them.
His hands where shaking. Why where they shaking, even as the monster seemed to breeze past and slice his arm he was still confused as to how he was missing. Was he getting old? Was he worried about hitting another hunter?
"Dammit..." He grunted before swinging around to fire more warning shots at the beast but with little point other then frustration now.

Lucasb didn't know what was worse. Having his dear old Bessy taken from him or having some little kid helping him out. That, and the creature was gone before he could make use of the light. Therefore he simply mumbled something incoherent and stood there looking grumpy. By the time the next creature emerged he had had time to check out this new, inferior shotgun that apparently also had Bessy etched into her stock. Odd. But his Bessy would never have misfired, so it had to be some sort of bizarre coincidence. He raised his shotgun up in a smooth movement, took aim, and...direct hit. Feeling much better about the situation he stepped in front of Zoey. "Best stay back and keep safe for now chickadee." Then the wave of Fear hit him, and this time cuts seemed to spring out of nowhere on his arms. Damn monsters. HP: 25/40 I think Damage: 12 Boss HP: 186

[Using bandages to heal Lucas] Mya finally got away from the medic station, only for another creature to emerge from the portal. Her gaze swept the area, only to land on Lucas, who was trying to hold his own, but looked a little worse for wear. Why he wasn't asking for any help was beyond her. Maybe he thought it made him look more manly if he waited until he was almost falling over before getting himself looked after? Who knew. She made her way towards him, limping only the slightest bit from her earlier wound. It wouldn't do for everyone to see how much pain she was actually in. "Jesus Christ, Lucas! Hold on a second!" She reached up to push his gun to the side, a quick glance showing her that he didn't have any visible injuries except for some cuts on his arm. "Wait, is that it?" With a sigh, she took out her bandages and got to work, though she did it a bit hastily. Why was she so god damned distracted, all of a sudden? (( Damage done: N/A Using Special Weapon Effect: Yes, Runic Bandages. Heal 4hp to Lucas My HP: 40/40 ))
