Joi scooted closer to Jay, he was warm and she was starting to shiver from being cold, and a little from the stress of the situation. She wrapped her arm around his back, if only to get a little more of his body heat. "I'm sorry Jay. I didn't meant to get you killed."

Jay shook his head and pulled them closer to the fire, not close enough to burn them, but close enough to give them a little more warmth, but he did snuggle more into her to try and make more body heat. "Nah, don't worry about it Joi, he'll have to find me first, and I'm good a hiding..." He chuckled and shook his head. "Besides, I decided to come see you, you didn't ask me to..." He murmured. "I wanted to, because I like you, and I want to be your friend..."
Because I love you, and I want you to be mine, but I know that probably will never happen and you deserve so much better than I... But it is going to break my heart to see you with another man... I hope that your happiness will be enough to make me happy, and that I won't be selfish...

Joi calmed herself down, figuring, at the very LEAST she was grounded for life, so she might as well not worry the last free night of her life away. With a deep breath, she exhaled her worries for now, and watching the fire.
"Jay?" Her voice sounded very calm now, but she was still practically clinging to him. Her worries might be gone for now, but the cold wasn't.

"Yeah Joi?" Jay asked, he sounding kinda thoughtful, like he was thinking deep, deep thoughts, he shivered a bit and pulled her a little closer. Damnit, he would not let Joi freeze to death up here, he'd brought her up here... if he had to, he'd do everything in his power to keep her warm...
His power could do that though, he was saving it for a last resort though...

"Do you have a girlfriend?" She was morbidly curious more than anything. He had asked her about a boyfriend, in a round-about way. She kinda liked how he held her so close too. It was very comforting to her. And she did start to warm up a bit.
She knew they needed some kind of supplies, but she'd keep that little 'I told you so' to herself since she didn't voice that concern in the first place.

Joi giggled."That's a shame. You're too sweet to be wandering around alone." The thought never did cross her mind to persue perhaps filling that particular role. It wasn't really something she thought a lot about. Not yet anyway.

Jay chuckled a little and shook his head. "Nahhh..." He snuggled more with her and smiled, rubbing her arms a bit trying to keep her warm. "I'm not that sweet..." He chuckled and closed his eyes for a moment to try and hold back the desire to tell her what he felt, once it was quelled he finally allowed himself to talk.
"She's have to be a really special girl, somebody who loved to explore, someone who could talk with me when I start to get deep..." He sighed and kept his eyes shut, snuggling her, to keep her warm... Yeah... That was the only reason he near about had her in his lap... It was to keep her warm... No other reason at all... Completely 100% platonic, yes sir...
Guardians he was such a damn liar...
"There was a girl I was kinda interested in, but she really didn't like leaving her home, and when I talked to her about some of the more deeper complex philsophical things in life it completely and totally fried her poor lil brain..." He sighed and shook his head. "I guess I'm destitned to be alone..." He had to fight to keep himself from putting her in his lap to 'keep her warm'. "But you... I see a bright, bright future ahead for you Joi, you'll have to beat the boys off with sticks..." He chuckled. "They'll be wanting your babies from miles around... I guess I'll just have to get a stick and help you beat them all..." He laughed lightly, playfully, trying to cover how weak it was...
Guardians this was really starting to depress him bad... Though, in a strange way, he was happier than he ever had been...

Joi wasn't sure if it was pity or empathy she felt, but she felt bad for him. Unknowing what her actions could cause, or even mean, and being her normal caring and nurturing self, she brought a hand up and cradled his cheek gently as she lifted her chin up so she could look into his green eyes. She smiled, "You'll find her, I know you will. You're special and have a lot to offer." She felt oddly attached to him at this moment, drawn to him even and the feeling confusing her like crazy. She had no idea how to act on it, she only knew she wanted to comfort Jay so he wouldn't feel bad.
She was staring at him, not quite sure why, or how or for how long even, but when she finally blinked, she noticed his face and the scrapes from when she slapped him in to the rock face. With the gentlest touch she could bring herself to use, she ran her finger tips over them, hoping they'd heal and not leave bad scars, tho they didn't look that bad. Without a word, she lowered her head slowly, resting it against his shoulder, feeling suddenly very safe and calm.

Whatever the ******** I did Guardians I am soooo sorry... Jay silently prayed as Joi looked into his eyes, and touched his face, as she did all these sweet and tender things...
She was killing him... Without even knowing what she was doing to him she was killing him... She was making it so hard to breath, so hard to think, so hard to fight the stirring in his heart...
He was slightly saddened and gladened when she placed her head on his shoulder, had she stared for a moment longer, he was afraid he'd of stolen her first kiss...
It was torture for him to not do it anyway, to not shift himself and bring her lips to his, and share a first for the both of him. Finally he couldn't take it anymore.
"Joi... remeber earlier when you said you'd kiss my owies... I know it sounds stupid... but... could I take you up on that..."
He was such a Guardians damn fool...

Joi giggled for a few moments before lifting her head to look at him again. She had that playfully mischevious smirk back on her face. "Do ickle Jayjay's owies still hurt?" she whimpered to him in the most cutesy little girly voice she could, almost sound like she did before growing. She was teasing and playing with him know, thinking it completely innocent still. Guardians was she naive. Or maybe stupid... or maybe she knew exactly what she was doing... that was for her only to really know.
She shifted herself just enough to get up on her knees and she crossed one over his lap, placing a knee on the ground on either side of his thighs. She faced him, and was just about the right height for 'playing nurse'. Keeping her eyes on his Gosh his green are pretty... she brought her hand up and gently traced one of the scrapes. Her other hand rested gently on his shoulder. She leaned forward and slowly, delicately, with pursed lips and eyes closed, kissed his cheek and the little abrasion. She repeated this, kissing his cheek so very gently a few times before pulling back, opening her eyes and examing his face again. Lowering her chin a little and looking at him through her eyelashes, giving a very cutesy little look, she asked, "Feel better yet?"

Each and every time her lips touched his flesh, a jolt of electricity ran down his spine, and his body would grow warmer, his chest would grow tighter, his breathing would go deeper. He kept his eyes closed while she did this, and when she finally pulled away he opened his eyes and caught the sight of hers.
Damn those are pretty gold eyes... He heard his mind think...
But looking into her eyes pretty much tore it wide open. There was no way, after that, for him to control what he was about to do...
He smiled. "Yeah... But there is one last owie you missed..." He murmured and then leaned up, closing his eyes and pushing his lips to hers...
The moment his lips touched hers it felt like time itself had stopped... He felt a sudden strong pulse of eletricity run from his lips all the way down his spine and through his limbs. His body suddenly burned with a heat he never thought it could generate, and it felt like his chest exploded...
He couldn't help but wonder, as he stole her first kiss with his own, if he'd made a mistake...

Joi's very first thought was, that must have hurt to smack your lips on the rocks ... but that thought quickly vanished, replaced by about a million and one other racing thoughts. She panicked at first, she'd not had time to practice! She'd wanted her first kiss to be magical and special and not ... amatuer, like she feared it would be. Her eyes were wide open, unblinking as she stared at Jay's face as he held his lips to hers. Why did he linger?
Then as if someone inside her mind were thinking for her, telling her what to do, how to react and helping her with her mixed up thoughts, she closed her eyes and kissed his lips right back. Softly folding her arms around his neck, very literally just melting against him and letting everything just flow. She'd turned into a puddle of goo right there on the summit of the mountain, in Jay's arms.

Jay didn't know how long their first kiss lasted, nor did he care, for all he knew, they could have sat there for hours, or even just seconds... All he did know, was that he was pulling away to take a breath. He slowly opened his eyes, and watched her face, panting softly.
Guardians, please don't let me have made a mistake, please don't let me have made a mistake, please... please... His mind begged as he panted softly, finally dreging up enough courage to finally speak.
"That was my first kiss..." He said rather... floored...
He wanted to facepalm now... s**t, that was ******** eloquent...

Joi was putty in his arms. She didn't know how to react. She'd actually disappointed when he pulled his lips from hers, even though her own lungs begged for air. Panting, but keeping her eyes closed still, a smile slowly spread across her lips. For a moment, she thought she as awake in a dream. Slowly opening her eyes, fluttering her eyelashes slightly, she focused on Jay. "Mine too." she whispered.
