Any other time, any other situation, any other person and Freya would have argued out every point to how impossible it was to love someone at first sight, the moment it left his lips. The desire to do so still bubbled up from within her, but all she could do was stare at him with a dopey, dreamy look on her face. Herryk was bashing through every barrier she'd carefully constructed, with that hard head of his. She had no chance against him. Not even a little chance.
His words garnered a big smile, followed by a big grin, followed directly after by a big yelp as she jumped up, grabbing him around the shoulders and hanging off of him while their lips met. As soon as she felt their cool touch, she melted helplessly against him, and her grin turned back into a smile that was probably going to be stuck on her face for the rest of the night.
She was in love. Everyone was going to call her such a hypocrite, and she couldn't manage to give a single care. She was in love.

Mot chuckled, grinning widely. "You think I'm handsome?" Yes, he was letting her know of her slip. Why? He wasn't sure. Normally he'd just keep it to himself. However, unlike Lizzy, Mot felt more open with Hel. At least lately. Maybe the trip had brought him closer.
"Oh, I get it. Uh, I'll go first." Mot offered, grabbing his bag and leaving to go change and what not.
He returned a short time later in his PJs, tossing the bag on his bedroll and sitting down himself. "Done~."

Herryk didn't even try to fight the stupid grin that was on his face. It was the most incredible moment in Herryk's life. Every care was lifted from his shoulders, swept away by the love he felt for this valkyrie. His Freya. Herryk tightened his arms around Freya's waist, breaking the kiss so he could bury his face in the curve of her neck.
There was laughter in his voice when he spoke. "Herryk and Freya should return to the house. Herryk does not want Father Odin to come hunting." He brushed his lips against her ear before pulling back, settling her before him with his hands bracketing her hips.
It was a beautiful thing, feeling free and comfortable enough to confess love for another. Herryk did not know if he'd ever loved in life, but that didn't matter. He'd found Freya, and she was all he would ever need.

As soon as she touched the ground again, she was hopping up to hang off him a second time, stubbornly refusing to let him put her down. "ACH, don't reminds me of that place now. I am tryings to be enjoy the happiest moment of my life, do yeh minds?" She peppered kisses across his face, and then rubbed her entire face against his in a crazed shake. Finally, she pulled back and her expression pinched in exaggerated dismay, before she let him go and slid down to the ground again.
"Fine, fine, we goes back." She grumbled. "But only because the faster we go to sleeps, the faster this weekend is over, and we can go back to schools together."
She tucked her arm under his, and her other arm wrapped around it as well, leaning against him heavily as they turned around to head back to the house.

Herryk laughed loudly. She was such a brat and yet it was one of the things he loved about her. With one swift swoop he scooped her up into his arms, playfully nipping her shoulder as he carried her back to the house. There was no reason that he carried her aside from the fact he liked the feel of her in his arms.
"Herryk does not want Odin to think of Herryk as an irresponsible type," he said seriously, hefting the valkyrie higher in his arms. They neared the house quickly thanks to Herryk's long stride, but he slowed as he drew closer to the door. He paused for a moment, lifting a brow while glancing down at Freya with a doofy little smile on his face.
"Give Herryk a good night kiss before Herryk carries Freya inside."

Hel paused, staring at him with a blank look. Did she think he was handsome? Ffffff—
Did she say that outloud!?
Bloody Jackin’ Mary.
The reaper looked like she wanted to try and smooth that over someway somehow, as if maybe she could convince him that she didn’t say that out loud but…nothing was coming to mind. The long she hesitated, the more obvious it was too. Hel blushed. This was embarrassing. “…Yes.” She muttered, and then narrowed her eyes. “You want to make something of it?” When in doubt, threat, though she probably wasn’t very threatening with that pout either.
Luckily the cowboil took to the bathroom first, and Hel took that time to face palm. When he came back, she went off then, changing into her sleep clothes and switching her pigtail braids over into a single one. The valkyrie returned, tossing her bag at the head of her bed roll and she flopped back down on it again, facing the cowboil. “You think you’ll be able to sleep tonight?”

Mot shook his head, waving his hands dismissively. "Nope." He was grinning. He wasn't sure why, but that slip made him giggle.
When Hel left, Mot flopped onto his back for a while, staring at the skulls and heads mounted on the walls. Bits of his conversation with Odin rung through his head, since it had happened so recently. Just thinking about it all over again made him queasy. Ugh, making pumpkins? Mot wasn't even sure he wanted scarelings ever! But he was also just sixteen years old. That was the furthest thing from his mind right now.
Mot propped himself up on his elbows when Hel returned, watching her flop down onto the bed roll. "Hm.. hard to say. It's been a long day, and that was a long ride here. Maybe?" Doubtful, but one never knows.

Hel rolled onto her side so that she was facing the cowboil.
“Heh…if you thought today was long, the worst will be tomorrow! You really should try…you’re going to need the energy tomorrow.” Hel waggled her fingers in thought before snapping them once more as she smiled at him. “I’ll sing to you again, alright?” It was a brilliant idea, and one that seemed to be working thus far! It seemed a good enough reason to try again.

"...Just how bad will it be tomorrow?" Mot asked, looking a little worried. Would the other members of her family give him trouble like Odin did? Or ignore him like her sisters? He really hoped for the latter.
While he wasn't confident, he did enjoy hearing Hel sing. So when offered, he grinned, nodding. "Sure, I'd like that."
For a moment, he wondered if Hel only sang for him. She seemed to be friendly with many other boils over Groansring after all..

Freya yelped when she was picked up, though it was clear she was very, very happy to be in his arms. In fact, he made her feel so petite and feminine, her small body curled up in his big, strong arms, pressed against his big, strong chest-
Gods, but Herryk was like the cover of a romance novel. Freya realized she'd been swooning non-stop since he picked her up. It would be nauseous to watch if she weren't the one doing it.
And then he paused, and that question - Freya was like putty in his arms. She pulled herself closer so her face could meet his, and grinned like a cheshire cat.
"I thoughts yehd never ask." She stated simply, closing that distance to press her lips against his with no sense of gentleness at all. In fact, it was kind of needy, the way her lips forced his to part, and her kiss deepened with the kind of ferocity fit for a valkyrie.
Romance was all well and good, but when it came time to kiss, Freya held a very firm policy; she believed that no tongue should be left behind.

“Bad.” She simply reaffirmed, making a face as she did so. Actually, she was worried…she wasn’t counting on being in the wedding…but now that she was…who would watch Mot!? She couldn’t protect him while she was marching down the aisle…at least she wouldn’t have to stay up there the entire time…but still. This made her fret. “Busy as well I imagine…if our table tonight was any indication to you.” She grinned a bit sheepishly.
“Alright…!” Hel beamed, pleased that she’d be able to try and help him out once more. “I suppose I’ll wait for a few though…just to see what everyone else will be up to, huh?” The reaper trailed off for a moment. “…How have you been sleeping since…you know…?”

Freya’s a** would be whacked for a second time that night. This time, it was done with a large wooden ladle after the door swung open.
“Yehr think yeh two are clever, eh? Just because yehr not technically under my roof yeh thinks yehs can play Brute Ball with yehr tonsils, ha! Still no such luck!” Valdis moved from out of the door way, and pointed her ladle in the direction of inside the house. “Now off with yeh two! We has a big day tomorrow, reign it in, will yeh? Also, Freya, I think yehr papa would appreciate it if he officially asked to court yeh? Yeh look like an easy ghoul right now, yeh know?” Valdis shook her ladle at them again.
From a nearby window, Sif could be seen in it, giving Freya the princess wave with her trademark snark smile.

Oh boy. Mot steeled himself, trying to summon all of his will and courage to get through the next day. He did okay tonight, he felt. Valdis liked him, and Odin seemed relatively pleased with Mot's so called accomplishments. So far so good.
Mot shrugged his shoulders, giving a sheepish smile. "Okay-ish, I guess. Not as many nightmares but.. Well, I've never had an easy time sleeping anyway." He could say he was used to it, and while technically the denizens of Halloween could live without sleep, it was still a refreshing way to replenish ones self. Being denied that was tiring.
Mot tilted his head, furrowing his brows at Hel. "What about you? You always seem to be fit as a fiddle." But that didn't mean she didn't have troubles, therefore he felt the need to check in on his Valkyrie.

Herryk set Freya down and grinned at Valdis. In a swift motion Herryk leaned forward and gave Freya's mother a peck on the cheek. He couldn't help it. It might be considered fresh (in fact it probably would) but Herryk was on cloud nine. Nothing could get him down, not after what had transpired between Freya and himself.
"Mother Valdis is right. Herryk should speak with Odin." He flashed those pearly whites at Valdis again before slipping past her, grasping Freya's hand in his own. It would be best to get away before Valdis came after him with a ladle.
Herryk made a beeline for the den, giving Sif a cheeky grin as he slipped past her. Not even that snarky b***h would dull his mood.
"Hel! Mot!" Herryk drew Freya against his side and just awkwardly towered over them, beaming.

Freya, however, was not grinning at Valdis. This woman was ruining EVERYTHING! She glared daggers at her mother, even as Herryk kissed her on the cheek and tugging her inside. Freya couldn't believe that kiss had just been broken. She didn't even care that her mother had just insulted her, THAT KISS. She was NOT. DONE. WITH THAT KISS.
She glared at her mother all the way until she was out of sight, and then frowned even as she turned to Hel and Mot. "Hi." She muttered sullenly, slinking into a chair.

Valdis was…shocked to say the least, to get a kiss on the cheek from the draugr. It stunned her for a good moment, and then she just grinned, shaking her head before closing the door after the two.
Sif just stared at Herryk as he looked at her like a fool.
Valdis whacked Sif in the arm with her ladel.
“Hey yeh, yehr getting married tomorrow, no frowning!”

Hel gave a sigh as she looked over at Mot. “What are we going to do with you?” She tsked teasingly, shaking her head a bit as she smiled lightly. “When it rains, it pours, huh, friend?” She smirked a bit. “Think I need to start training you into the ground, you’ll be exhausted then. So much so, you won't fight sleep!”
The reaper chuckled a bit, and then blinked as he asked about her. “Me…?” She echoed, and smiled a bit once more. “I am fine, friend. I sleep fine as well.” That was honestly a bit of a shallow answer. Honestly, Hel was feeling rather tugged about…recent events but…once again, that was something she’d stubbornly cling to keep to herself.
The ghoul looked up though as Herryk and Freya entered the room, noting Herryk’s cheerful demeaner and Freya’s rather grumpy one. “…Uh…hello there…so where are you two sleeping? Herryk can have my bed if he wants. I’m going to be sleeping here.”
